Just a few thoughts on Ghosts, their Guardians, and day-to-day life for the defenders of humanity and their robotic space angel companions.

» If there’s a ‘hot spot’ for potential Light-compatible Guardians, Ghosts will alert their fellow Ghosts who haven’t found their Guardian yet so they can see if theirs is over there. It’s rare for a Ghost to find theirs easily so they often go to where their fellows were to see if there’s any luck for them. Hence why Russia is swarming with Ghosts there in-game and a lot of Guardians are being found there.

» How a Ghost’s chooses their own Guardian will vary. Some will choose the one with the most Light-compatibility and punch in the other important factors into their calculations of selection like how old they were when they passed away, how they were built, and etc. Some will just chose anyone with Light-compatibility and go from there. It explains why some of the Ghosts’ picks can be hit and miss.

» Ghosts, in general, are very protective of their Guardian and it shows in different ways: Some are strict, some are kind. They do their best to keep their Guardian on the Light’s path and keep them company so they don’t feel alone during the long missions and the hours of grinding adventuring outside the Tower.

» Ghosts are capable of doing anything and everything but it demands a lot of energy from them since they’re so small and they were made from the Traveler’s dying breath. The entity wasn’t exactly on top of its’ game at the time of the creation of the Ghosts. Since their primary concern is their Guardian and their wellbeing, they often focus all their reserves and energies on doing things that will benefit their partners.

Even if it means just opening doors, scanning things, and little things like that. Some Guardians will joke/question/grumble about it but they need to understand that on the grand scale of power, it doesn’t demand a lot of their energy to do those things even if it’s done over and over and over again. Reviving their poor Guardian in a hostile environment? That does. So the Ghosts chooses when to do what and where to maximise efficiency and chances of success for the Guardian.

» Yes, this means Ghosts are capable of playing music for Guardians if asked -- it happened in possible canon itself! -- but it depends on the personality of the Ghost. A serious Ghost will not entertain the possibility whatsoever but a more willing Ghost would.

» Most important of all: There are so many embarrassing nicknames for the Ghosts. They’ve been around for a long time after all. Sooner or later someone would look at a Ghost and decide to curse bless it with a new moniker. Besides the well-known ‘Little Light’ for them, there’s ‘Light Bulb’ and ‘Casper’ and ‘Traveler Lite’ and ‘Night Light’ and ‘Light Box’ and so many more. Of course, a lot of Ghosts don’t take kindly to these nicknames, some find them cute, and majority find the names ridiculous, just ridiculous. They’re, surprisingly or perhaps unsurprisingly, much more warmer to an actual name if it’s given by their Guardian.
