In your five years of teaching, you never thought you’d see Dynamight sitting cross-legged on the daisy shaped carpet in the center of your classroom, while your kids swarm around him to paint his face.

Warmth spreads across your chest as you take it all in. It’s quite the sight, to see the big, buff, seasoned twenty five year old pro hero letting all these tiny toddlers take turns taking clumsy swipes at his face with the colorful paints you bought for them the week before for art class.

What you don’t notice is the way his eyes trail to you wherever you are in the classroom. When you move to open the windows to let the fresh air in, to wipe the chalkboard, even when you’re organizing the mess of crayons on your desk into their rightful bins.

“Why do you keep staring at our teacher?” One of them, a little boy wearing his t-shirt backwards, curiously pipes up. Everyone else nods in agreement, they’ve been wondering the exact same thing.

“You gonna tell her what I said when I leave later?” Katsuki raises a brow. A chorus of playful noooo’s follow him.

“We’re gonna tell her while you’re still here!”

These little brats. He’s barely known these kids for two hours and already he knows that they love you like a second mother, and wouldn’t be letting him go so easily. There’s fondness in his eyes as Katsuki chuckles and leans in, and the kids eagerly lean in to hear what he has to say.

“I’m starin’ cause she’s pretty.”

Gasps and nods of agreement spread across the carpet just as you clap your hands together, your sweet voice ringing through the classroom, to which everyone, including Katsuki with his paint bedazzled face, turns to give you their fullest attention.

“Alright my angels, let’s give Mr. Dynamight some space now okay?”

Curious little eyes glance back and forth between you and Dynamight with, when someone loudly pipes up, “Ms. L/n doesn’t have a boyfriend!”

“Mr. Dynamight thinks you’re pretty!”

“He stares at you like the way my brother stares at ice cream!”

“Hey I was going to say that!”

Bickering ensues across the carpet and you simply gape at them as a hint of a smirk appears on Katsuki’s face.

Should we tell them after class? He mouths in your direction.

No, you mouth back, covering a giggle behind your hand at the continued chaos of your kids behind your boyfriend.

A little homework never hurt anyone.

[Heads or Tails?]

hey, i made up a complicated and heavily conditional craft skill for my post one hat au loop :) i'm gonna describe the skill below, but if you wanna see both what their other craft skills are called and the wip for this, here it is.

Loop calls out to a party member. If the guess is Heads, Loop will attack and if the guess is Tails, Loop will buff that party member.

If they guessed heads and it lands on heads, Loop will attack a single enemy with a powerful attack of the craft type of who they asked. If they asked Mirabelle, it defaults to a scissors attack. This is worth two jackpot points.

If they guessed heads and it lands on tails, Loop will fire a normal attack that deals neutral damage, has a lowered Crit Chance, and gives no jackpot points.

If they guess tails and it lands on tails, Loop will buff that party member's ATK and Luck for three turns and buff their Crit Chance for one turn.

If they guessed tails and it lands on heads, Loop will buff that party member's DEF for three turns, but will also inflict Slow for the same amount of time.

Sometimes I wonder if we give too much credit to Dream for knowing things he doesn’t. If perhaps we sometimes assume he knows what we know. It’s something I often find frustrating with the takes on Dream being obsessed with Tommy, because a lot of times they require Dream to have this knowledge about things like the intricacies of Tommy’s and Wilbur’s relationship. I think we can forget that while we get to see the moments of them together and their dynamic, Dream isn’t getting that. Dream doesn’t get to see what we see. How much did he know about Tommy’s declining mental health during Exile? Sure Tommy certainly shows it while Dream is there, but Dream tries to cheer him up and perhaps afterwards he goes home and thinks it’s fine. He isn’t there to see the moments when Tommy wakes up in the ocean trying to drown himself. We, the audience, get to see some of these sad monologues that Dream doesn’t. In other words, I wonder how far Dream actually knew he was pushing Tommy towards the edge, if maybe he didn’t know it was to the point of suicide. In the finale, Tommy says something along the lines of ‘why driving me to kill my self makes sense’ with the assumption that that was Dream’s goal, but I hardly think it was.

How about the staged finale, a lot of times it is assumed that Punz and Dream did experiments prior to it as a fail safe in case something happened to Dream. Which isn’t an unreasonable conclusion to make by any means, but it is based on the fact that he assumed Tommy might kill him permanently. And I’m starting to wonder if maybe he didn’t. If maybe just like with Sam he underestimated people’s loathing for him. Maybe he didn’t think it would go that far. Maybe having the book was his fail safe without even knowing if it works. Maybe just how he underestimated how a majority of new L’manberg was ready to go to war just with him, just how he underestimated Sam’s betrayal, just how he underestimated George’s response to being dethroned, just how he underestimated Sapnap’s response to his speech and Berkerson on the wall, just how he underestimated even Tommy and Tubbo in the finale, he underestimated the staged finale too.

Maybe he isn’t as smart and well planned as we thought. Maybe he doesn’t have the foresight to predict things like we thought. Maybe his plans weren’t as well planned as we thought. Maybe he’s more emotional, more impulsive, more naive than we thought. Maybe every time they went above his expectations of loathing, it shocked and horrified him a little more. Maybe that horror pushed him to make impulsive plans where he thought he considered all the variables but underestimated them yet again. Maybe he didn’t know how much they hate him because he wasn’t there when they talked about him. Maybe he didn’t know how much he hurt them because he wasn’t there when they had to put the pieces back together. Maybe he wasn’t this mastermind but just a guy, grasping at straws, trying to make plans with the incomplete information he has…
