I had already given my opinion about the One Piece Z movie before and made my dissatisfaction clear. But since I've rewatched the movie four more times now (all for a certain character hihihi), I've realized more things about it, and I decided to talk about it in more detail.
Last time I said that the movie is a disaster, but now that I've looked at other past movies, it's not that bad. I just think it could have been much better. And believe it or not, it's the first One Piece movie written by Oda, if I'm not mistaken, so I was expecting something different.
This one is long, so get ready. Maybe I'll be talking about Strong World next.
Starting with the first scene, just like the movie Strong World, the Marines are already unable to deal with the big villain. They appear at least four or five times in this movie and at no point did I think 'oh, here they come' in a good way. It almost seems like they are being thrown into the movie to remind us that they are something important.
Like, there is an entire organization that calls itself the Neo Marines, and the Marines never thought about dealing with it in a more serious way? Did Sengoku see Z hanging out with his gang and think that nothing would happen? Was Akainu unconcerned about Z until now? We don't know..
Kizaru appears almost three times, looking all powerful and not being much help until the last moment. Garp also appears just to give exposition about Z, which could very well have been done through Aokiji.
Speaking of Aokiji, he appears so many times (not that I'm complaining) but it seems like he is a bit lost. If I didn't like him so much, I'd be a little confused and annoyed every time he showed up. He gives some exposition here, some wisdom there, and he's a chill guy hanging around the Straw Hats. Other than that, I think he's a bit loose in the movie.
The first appearance of the Straw Hats is cute, like I said before, I love seeing them having fun and being friends. And again, Nami's first scene already made me feel really embarrassed.
The thing about Usopp and his plants was more of a joke, but I really thought it would be important at the end of the movie. Like, I thought he would use it for something. It could even have been used to fight that Z's apprentice, Binz.
And just so you know, this movie takes place before Punk Hazard, and in the anime there are five episodes in which Ain, the other apprentice, appears several there too, and it serves to kind of introduce Z. It's called Z's Ambition mini arc if you want to watch.
The first time I watched the movie, I didn't care about Z, he seemed like a generic villain. Now I actually like him. The scene where he talks to the Straw Hats is so cool. He's friendly, polite, funny and seemed like a nice guy. Until the moment he finds out they're pirates.
I also like his design more. Yet, there's something about me that doesn't fit. I can't tell what it is.
The fight between the Neo Marines and the Straw Hats is kind of boring to me. Binz is annoying as hell, and I think his power doesn't match his style, and the Straw Hats shouldn't have a problem defeating him. It's not like he's established as a super strong ninja who has unique abilities. He's just another weird guy that serves to make their life more difficult.
I couldn't concentrate on Ain's fight because I kept thinking about how this girl can fight with that bikini and cape. And the thing about four members being de-aged was useless. It didn't add anything to the movie.
However, she's seems to be very strong and skilled. She fought Zoro twice, she used her powers is cool ways and i think her personality could be cool if the movie didn't made her generic girl who is too devoted to male villain.
What pisses me off is that is obivious she couldn't win against Zoro bc he's the cool male swordsman. The movie would never let her have the upper hand against him, so they keep interrupting their fights and letting Ain run away, instead of letting her or Binz win against Zoro and Sanji and make us feel like they're big deal and a real threat to the Straw Hats.
Anyway, I didn't really get her power, it seems to be a differente version of Bonney's DF, but Ain's has a certain limit of how much she can de age someone.
When I saw Nami as a child I thought she would actually go back to her childhood self and that would be a problem for the crew. Like, 'oh Nami and Robin went back in time and don't remember us or trust us, we have to solve this!'.
Nothing. And the way Sanji reacts is shit. He would never EVER say such weird things about Nami. I hate his characterization in this movie with all my heart.
Now that I think about it, the way Luffy just wants to go after Z to get his hat and stuff is very much in character.
Then the marines come, without adding anything relevant to the plot, everything they say is repeated to the protagonists by Aokiji or by Z himself. Hell, sometimes they need to bring upstuff we already know. And Akainu says that they have to stop Z now, and yet they do absolutely nothing throughout the entire movie. Just like always, he's stuck behind his damn desk waiting for people to solve stuff.
At the first island, there's a old man who helps them and gives them equipment later. The clothes Usopp wears in this part of the movie are really ugly, but I think it's good enough so that no one recognizes him. And Chopper's design in this movie (and in the Post-Timeskip in general) is toooooo cute, he doesn't even look like a deer.
The hot springs scene made me kick my feet bc of Aokiji. He shows up, does nothing, threatens to be useful and give information, and then leaves as if he had done a lot. But... like, it's not like he cares, right?
The Monster Trio + Usopp fight Z, Ain and Binz, and just like I said, the movie tries to make us believe those three are big deal by taking Usopp out of the fight and then the Ain and Binz leave easely. I was dissapointed by this fight. I think Luffy losing was rushed too. He gets beaten too quick and then Z blows up the island.
Hihihihihih Aokiji freezing the lava.... And him being nice to the ladies before that... *kicking my feet in the air*
Okay, Luffy gets shot and that doesn't really matter, it's just to make Z come out unharmed and we can continue with the movie.
Then we see Garp telling Koby about Z's past, and Aokiji meets him. This scene gives a little more weight to Z, makes him seem more like a real person than some crazy guy who's gone too far. I even stopped for a moment to sympathize with him.
Aokiji gives an explanation that we had before and Luffy is unshakable, ready to fight. I like his spirit, and how everyone is ready to be on his side. They trust him so much, and he trusts them. I love them :)
That scene of Robin and Kuzan looking at each other in the rain was something. I think it shows both let go of the past to some degree. Robin is not as afraid of Kuzan as she was before. Maybe because he showed he's not going to hand her to the marines, and because she knows she can trust her friends to protect her.
In a way, she's at peace and doesn't fear him like before
(Unfortunately some people use this to ship them. I should remind you that she is 18 years old at the moment)
New equipment! The girls' battle outfits are shit!!! I want to draw different outfits for them now!
The battle begins. The fight here is very well drawn, incredible and this time I found myself in love.
Why does Chopper insist on using his panda form? He has much better ones. The thing about Ain only having to take a hit to make the guys go back to normal doesn't make sense.
Z's final fight against Luffy is interesting. This is where I really liked Z, but I think other people won't be satisfied. But, I think it makes sense. He's old, he's tired, and he realizes that his way won't work.
At least I had a second of Frobin with Franky carrying Robin, and ONLY HER, while the others ran. The way she sits like a queen on his hand is adorable. The close up on her boobs was not necessary...
Kizaru appears, only serving for Z to go there and beat everyone up. I liked this, unfortunately, once again the movie tries to give an air of importance to the relationship between Z and the Marines. Which only worked for me because I started to like the character.
The ending is kind of dark. I liked the way Z died. But... his plan was useless. In the end he got along with Luffy and Aokiji stopped him. So... yeah, its almost like Luffy gave him a talk no jutsu without the talk and made Z change his way and almost become an ally. Everything he did, all the destruction and death is useless
I would like to add real quick that the scene where Sengoku says Z is out of control for killing innocent civilians made me roll my eyes so hard I had a headache. It's not like the marines care about the innocent, old man. Go back to your retirement.
The final scene that shows why he changed Zephyr's name to Z got me, I admit. I thought it was cute. I really believe the little girl in the last scene is his wife that shows in his flashback.
I think the problem with this movie is that it doesn't have good pacing. Some things happen too fast, characters appear just for the sake of appearing, they are useless, they give information that is repeated so many times, and there is this air of emotion about Z as if he were this incredible person. And we don't know him, so it's not like we would care.
If he were connected to one of the characters, like Kuzan for example, since he appears a lot and fits into the story, then maybe I would care more about Z. Then I would feel more sympathy for him. I think the movie tries to make us like him in a forced way.
(I like Z, because I associate him with Kuzan, and because without a real and important story for him, I can kind of fill in the gaps and make him cool in my head)
And not to mention that there is so much unnecessary stuff. The generic Neo Marine's soldiers who die and aren't even important in the end, the Marines being useless, Z's relationship with Binz and Ain (who could have been used to make the three of them more interesting), Ain had potential in my opinion, and Binz could be a better character. Man, as Sanji said at some point, these two are so boring, the way they just cling to Z and stuff.
Even Kuzan being distant and having let go of his old master is more interesting. It makes Z feel more like an old hero that fell to the dark side, like a beloved teacher that is blind in his hatred and need for justice. Z is all of that, but the movie fails in transmitting this emotion about him. They could've done better.
About the animation, the Post-Timeskip art annoys me at times. But there are many other times where it's very beautiful. The animation is great, and there's a perfect balance between 2D and CGI (unlike Stampede). The writing isn't that good, there are moments in the dialogue that are bad, like the first scene with the Straw Hats.
In the end, the movie isn't horrible. It's just the ideas that are all thrown together and make it hard to like it anymore. Dude, the movie was going to be called Dream Smasher, since Z wants to destroy the pirates' dreams, Oda didn't like it so that's how it ended up with this horrible title. Decisions have been made... I don't understand why some fans think this is the best movie ever. We can say it's a 5.5/10.

Do you think any of the admirals would adopts a kid?? Abandoned, survivor of an attack or anything
HELL YEAH?!
We already know that canonically Sengoku would as we seen it with Rosinante so that one needs no explanation.
I went over this scenario with Kuzan over here.
I can definitely see Sakazuku also joining the club, with his ultimate justice motto, he might be inclined to take in the child and pass on that belief to them, to train them and strengthen them so they can take down pirates just as he does. The childwould be the one person he can put his trust in to get the job done when needed, and the one weakness of the Red Dog.
Borsalino, despite his…-Eccentric personality, say shat you mean but all I see is parent material, you look me in the eye and tell me a child woul’t enjoy his almost comedic lacksaidacal manner. I feel it would be really calming for a child who has experienced tragedy to have this general who thinks everything is funny, it would ease their worries. After experiencing traumatic events having this dude who shows no worry, no anger just a calm even intrigued demeaned might be able to ground them.
Issho, need I say more about this guy? Of course, he would take a child in, did you see how he helped that one kid when he first appeared? He would be the most gentle dad to their child, always being considerate of their past and how certain things might trigger them. But don’t be fooled, he would be gentle but struck parent, no wrongdoings will be excused, he will always be gentle but remain firm.
Aramaki? Gosh, maybe.Maybe he would but I just hate that guy so much, I mean my biased is definitely getting in the way her but anyone who sees the celestial dragons as actual Gods, nuh uh. But I guess IF we put that aside…nah I can’Tim sorry 😂. I GUESSS he would there’s no red flags regarding his caretaking other than his horrible and messed up ideals, but let’s be honest any kid taken in by him would be high tailing his ass outta there.
I know you din’t probably expect this one but Zephyr also passes the bill. Despite his over the top views, they are basically a coping mechanism on the pain cause by losing his wife and child. So I feel as though encountering an abandoned/survivor child might just be what he needs to back to his gentle and caring origins, the child might be able to fill that hole left in him by his loss and give him a new reason to keep going and reignite his views on justic

went to bed at a reasonable hour for once (bc i stayed up "late" playing bg3 with a friend [@jennycalendar is the actual best]). somehow am still up at the hour i would have been otherwise bc. uh. i woke up early bc my heart rate was through the roof bc. uh. bc i was so happy and excited about how fun yesterday was that even my subconscious was vibrating about it.
baffling. apparently if you have too much joy you just end up with less sleep about it.

I wanna talk about Zephyr so spoilers for Film Z (after ch 654 or ep 578) it’s a really good movie I recommend it!
Zephyr is probably one of my favorite “filler” characters because it feels like he came right out of Oda’s head! (I don’t know that he didn’t I’m just assuming) he’s right up there with Vice Admiral Jonathan and ofc the legendary Condoriano! Anyway his backstory was really great and fit perfectly in the universe! I also loved how he analyzed/commentated on his opponents fighting styles like when he fights Kizaru and gives him a little critique on relying too heavily on his fruit powers. It shows that he never fully stopped being a teacher!
Although his backstory could’ve been fleshed out a little more. Like one of the warlords killed his men and took his arm! Ok, who was it? There’s only 7 of them which one? It would’ve felt more complete. I also didn’t care for the Neo Marines. I understand where they were coming from but it’s kinda another faction that ultimately doesn’t stand out against the Revolutionary Army. And the whole dyna stone thing didn’t feel like it fits in the world. Again I understand the thought process but with the end points and everything it felt less original than the main series.
I think they should’ve given him a backstory side chapter like they did with Shiki. A fully fleshed out backstory that focuses on him! Ofc the difference is Shiki is canon and Z is not.
Tl;dr
I like the character of Zephyr but Film Z had some plot points I wasn’t too fond of.

Piggybacking off this post to say that one of my absolute least favorite tropes both in canon and in "fanon" is taking a character that appears to (or does) fit into the above type described by OP and turning them into a confident fuckboy or having all their emotional barriers drop the minute their romantic interest indicates they might reciprocate feelings.
Nothing worse than seeing some self-deprecating never-says-his-genuine-feelings-out-loud bastard man suddenly become an extremely passionate smooth-talking lady-killer or a super genuine heartfelt empath or whatever. Let him half-jokingly flirt because he can't bring himself to do it genuinely! Let him allow the other person to be part of some mundane private ritual that nonetheless symbolizes a huge extending of trust on his part! Let him make a notable effort to stop self-deprecating so much because he knows it makes the other person feel bad! Let him be secretly overly sentimental and make excuses for why he keeps trinkets and memories from early in the relationship! Let him reflexively reach out for physical contact with them when asleep or relaxing or otherwise not paying attention as if he constantly seeks a tactile reminder of the other's presence!
Love is made of and found in a hundred thousand little things that mean just as much if not way more than the big dramatic declaration that the sopping wet bastard man wouldn't say unless at gunpoint!
once again opening a ship tag on AO3 and opening a dozen fics and closing out of almost all of them immediately because they would not fucking act like that

So what a man gotta do? ~ OP⁸¹
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Oscar Piastri x Fem!Reader
Short note: Reader has no idea that Oscar is a famous guy. Oscar can't handle babies to save his life. Reader is an overworker. The plot feels cliché but I am very unoriginal/j
Warnings: Light profanities, bickering
Summary: You are an overworked corporate freak. You were on business to Monte Carlo, Monaco. You were trying to enjoy a good breakfast, not hear some F1 racer's baby niece crying.
..........................................................................................
You were in your hotel bed, sprawled up between the sheets. It was a sleepless night. A ray of sunshine penetrated your room from a tiny creak of a window and hit your face. Your phone alarm rang loudly, echoing through the room. You were annoyed.
"End my misery, good God," you huffed, annoyed.
You had no choice but to wake up. Your stomach was growling. As you tried to get out of your bed, you accidentally tripped and fell on your butt.
What a way to start the day, you thought.
You stepped into the large bathroom of your hotel room to freshen up. The morning seemed to run slow and lazy. You looked at yourself in the mirror while brushing your teeth. The eyebags under your circles had visibly darkened a lot more from overworking. You couldn't help but still think about work.
Man, I still have another program left. Why didn't the code compile? Did I write any statement wrong? Or was it the argument?
You were lost in your own sea of thoughts. You were pulled back to reality when your stomach growled again. The tap was running endlessly. You quickly freshened up and took a quick shower. You wrapped yourself in a bathrobe and got out of the bathroom. Shivers ran down your spine at the air circulating in the room, hitting the areas the bathrobe couldn't cover. You quickly wore an oversized t-shirt and a pair of jeans to head out for breakfast to a cafe.
Phone, check. Purse, check. Laptop in backpack, check.
You went downstairs at the reception to check out for some time. The receptionist flashed you a polite smile. You were headed to Café de Paris. The streets of Monte Carlo in the morning was a sight for sore eyes. Gentle breezes blew and hit your face every now and then. The road wasn't very busy.
"Taxi!"
You waved your hand at a taxi to take a ride to your destination.
"Où voulez-vous aller, madame?,The driver asked politely. where do you want to go, miss?
"Café de Paris. Combien cela coûterait-il?," you asked to make sure the driver got his pay and you reached your destination properly. cafe de paris. how much would that be?
"65€, madame."
You got inside the taxi to get to the cafe. The ride on the way there was pleasant. The rolled-down calm window allowed the occasional zephyr to hit your face ever so gently. The view of Monte Carlo was nothing short of an amazement. The lavish buildings, infrastructures, the hoard of luxury cars: Nothing about Monte Carlo was less than class and elegance.
You are drawn out of your reverie as the taxi suddenly stops. You stepped out of the car and paid the driver. Stepping into the café, your senses are overwhelmed by the smell of pungent caffeine, freshly baked goods, savories and drinks. The bright sunlight filters through the windows, bathing the room in a soft light. In the corner, you spotted an empty table. It was located near the wall of the café. A waiter appears nearby. He asks if he could assist you, and you inform him that you are looking for a table for one. The waiter escorted you to your table. He was waiting for your order. The light from the sun beamed through the window and hit his face as he took the order.
"One espresso, one chocolate chaud, le wrap saumon, and one tranche de cake. Will that be all?" The waiter asked, smiling.
"Yes, that will be all", you replied.
"It will be out in a few minutes", the waiter said as he walked away.
You were peacefully enjoying your breakfast in the cafe, enjoying the atmosphere and the taste of her delicious food. As you were eating, you suddenly heard the sound of a wailing and whining baby coming from the table behind you. A guy was trying desperately to comfort the baby, but the baby was only becoming more distressed and loud. You could feel your blood pressure rising, as you grew frustrated at the guy's inability to control the baby.
The child sounded hungry. Despite not being a mom yourself, you well knew how to handle and understand babies.
This guy is gonna get it from me.
You were getting visibly angry, and you turned to the guy and said, "I can't believe you can't handle your own baby!"
The guy, clearly frustrated by the situation and your anger, said, "I'm doing my best, but this baby is just so needy and always crying." The voice had a unique timbre to it, Australian accent rolling out.
You rolled your eyes and said, "You should have thought about that before having a baby. You're the father. Why are you so clueless?"
The guy was now getting annoyed and said, "Not like you're the mother. What's your problem? You should have some empathy."
You continued to bicker with the guy about his inability to handle the baby. The guy was beginning to become defensive, and said, "It's not my baby, it's-"
You became angrier, and said, "How dare you deny your own child?! Who do you think you are?!"
The guy realized that you were under the impression that he was the baby's dad. He smirked slightly in amusement before continuing, "You really don't know who I am?"
You looked at him in confusion and frustration. "And who are you sir?" You took in his features. He seemed tall, around 5'10. Maybe a centimeter or two taller. The guy looked athletic with dark blonde hair. Your eyes raked on him, head to toe. He has a strong jaw and large deep set blue eyes. He has a lean, muscular frame, with well-defined muscles on his arms and shoulders, and strong legs. He definitely wasn't hard on the eyes.
He noticed you eyeing him head-to-toe and smirked in amusement. He looked at you and spoke with slight arrogance. "I'm Oscar Piastri."
"Oscar Pastry? Who the fuck names their son 'Pastry?'"
"Piastri!," he interjected.
"Pastry or whatever, have some shame. You can't handle your own child." You rolled your eyes.
He was amused at your reaction. The fact that you didn't know anything about him made the situation funnier.
The baby started crying louder. As the verbal dispute escalated, other guests in the café began to look at them and whisper to each other. Some of them were trying to suppress their laughter at the sight of the F1 driver and the angry girl.
Oscar stood up from his seat and towered you. He countered, saying, "You think I'm not trying? Try sitting in my place and see how you handle the situation then!"
"If it's gonna shut your mouth then so be it!"
You took the baby in your arms and rocked it slowly.
"Boy or a girl?"
"Girl..." he looked at you wide-eyed. How easily you calmed his niece down. Though he was not ready to tell you right now that it's his niece, not his daughter...
"Name?"
"Ollie."
"Like from Oggy and the Cockroaches?"
"Shut the fuck up." He deadpanned. He looked at his now calm niece. He looked at you being gentle with her. He got weird butterflies seeing you like that. He saw how...motherly you are. Ollie was smiling in your arms and all giggly.
"Milk."
"Huh?" he snapped out of his thoughts.
"Milk, Pastry." You emphasized the stupid nickname to rile him up.
"It's Piastri." he rolled his eyes as he handed a bottle of milk from his backpack. "What's your name?"
"Y/N L/N."
"Ahhh I see...Nice name..." The name rolled off his tongue in a way that you liked.
You rocked Ollie in your arms slowly. Ollie was cooing cutely which made you smile. You fed the infant from the bottle as she peered up at you with her big, doe eyes. Oscar was looking at you in amazement at how easily you calmed his niece. He was smiling slightly at the sight in front of him.
"You know, you'd be a great mother..." he said with a slight chuckle.
"That came outta nowhere," you said. You chuckled in a breath, blushing at the comment. He noticed your flustered expression and smiled. He had a cheeky smile on his face.
"So, what brings you to Monaco?," he asked out of pure curiosity.
"Work," you sighed.
"What do you do for a living?," he asked.
"Software developer. I'm here to present our company's new project to our potential collaborator," you explained. He was listening to you carefully and nodded slightly in respect.
"You're very smart for a pretty girl," he said with a teasing smirk.
"And what does that mean?," you raised an eyebrow. You looked down and saw a now peacefully asleep Ollie in your arms. You carefully took out the bottle of milk from his mouth.
"Just that beauty and brains is a deadly but rare combination," he said with a playful shrug. You snickered.
"Pacifier." You extended your hand towards him to take the pacifier he'd hand you.
"You're a natural at this stuff," he muttered softly.
"Okay okay I get it. What do you do for a living though?"
"Wait— you don't know?" Oscar was genuinely surprised that you didn't know who he was. He was pretty famous after all, but you seemed to be completely oblivious.
"Am I supposed to know ya?" You scratched your head in confusion. He chuckled at your lack of knowledge on this.
"I'll give you a hint. I drive in weird shapes for living." He grinned as he waited for an answer.
"Drive in weird shapes?" You started pondering.
Well, he said weird shapes. Driving, the roads aren't of a specific shape so...
"You're a taxi driver?"
"What the—" He burst out laughing at your answer.
"What? Did I get it wrong?" Your cheeks flushed pink, a hint of embarrassment creeping up.
"You said you drive in weird shapes and roads aren't exactly always straight so I assumed..."
"Search my name on Google, dummy." He had a shit-eating grin on his face.
"Uhm...sure?" You rolled your eyes and took out your phone. You typed with one hand while rocking Ollie in your arms. Surely he isn't any hotshot, right? Your eyes widened at the search results.
"Okay. No words." Your eyes darted from the pictures on your phone and him, your mind processing he was a Formula 1 driver and you had no idea all this time.
"Surprise sweetie." He ran his fingers through his head. Your eyes went on the first picture that popped up. A race win in Hungary...
"You still can't babysit your daughter." You retorted to mask the surprise on you face.
But Google didn't show any wife or girlfriend or children on his profile. Where'd he even get this girl from?
"Sorry to break your little bubble but that's my niece. I'm no father." He chuckled.
"No wonder. I thought G.oogle was inaccurate." I nodded slowly. But I immediately bit back. "Still can't babysit to save your life."
"So what a man gotta do?" Oscar asked with a grin.
You chuckled exasperatedly and shook your head. "So, how can I teach you?"
"Come to Australia sometime." He smiled.
Can't believe I'm gonna have to teach a world-class Formula 1 driver on how to babysit his niece.

What was it that you disliked about the premise/etc. of Film Red? (Out of curiosity.)
I hate Uta’s character design and backstory. It reads like baby’s first OC, and if I wanted to read about Shank’s secret adoptive daughter who happens to be Luffy’s secret childhood friend I’d go to AO3. Then Oda went and made her canon, which is even worse.
With characters like Zephyr, Bullet, or Gild What’s-his-face I can see how they fit into the op world. Even the lady from film gold who Nami knew in the past made sense. Uta is just dumb, and I hate the fact that she exists,
Is this fair to the movie? No. Could the execution of a shitty concept be good enough to justify its existence? Box office numbers would suggest yes. But I also don’t care, and will never watch if for myself.

Well well well! I have a fun update since I reblogged this. I went looking online for the two ornaments a month or two back. Couldn’t find the Silver Pilot one online, and the Pioneer one was out of stock. And for context, here’s the tags I put on the post where I gushed about the ornaments and the actual locomotives:
Tumblr media
Well I have fun news! Me and dad had what we called ‘Pioneer Day’! We went up to the city and saw both the Pioneer Zephyr AND the CNW Pioneer! And of course good ol 999, she’s very big for a 4-4-0! Very gorgeous engine, all three of them! But I went looking in the gift shop for a certain Pioneer Zephyr ornament at the Museum of Science and Industry. And was I in luck! Look what I managed to snag!
Tumblr media
On top of that, I also got a little something else as well. The start to my locomotive and railroad pin collection! And I doubt there would’ve been a better engine to start with! (Apart from my dad’s 4014 pin that sits on his desk)
Tumblr media
I swear I do NOT have a problem with the CB&Q and I swear I’m normal about the engines on said road. Tried to get something with 999 on it but they didn’t have anything! No mug, no pin, no shirt, nothing! Missing out in all honesty. As far as we saw the Chicago History Museum didn’t even have a gift shop!
Now all I’ve got to look out for is the Silver Pilot ornament at the IRM when I go this summer! I’ll be scouring both the gift shop and the hobby shop for treasures! If no Silver Pilot ornament then I’ll certainly look for a pin for him or good old 1630. But for now that’s the update I have! A few pictures (albeit poor quality because phone camera and bad museum lighting), of my trip to Chicago! I know the pictures of CNW Pioneer are bad but most of the better shots had me in them and I don’t wanna post me. So without further ado!

some of yall seem to really like Minx, so have a few more with her.
Minx isn't as OP as her dad is, but hypnosis is one thing she does have. She was bound to, considering Fluttershy herself has a similar power.
Zephyr never volunteers to babysit ever again.

Mushy May Day 15: first time
1k, nsfw, ifrit/zephyr, prompts by @forlorn-crows !
Read under cut or find all of mushy may on ao3!
Transfem ifrits first time after bottom surgery (:
Notes and things: inspired by @noahl-art bc I realized he was the only one I saw talking about bottom surgery and I got really curious so here’s this. There’s a couple hours of research into this I saw many many vaginas LMAO. And thanks to @jimothybarnes and @everybodyshusband for encouraging and forcing this fic into fruition
Mostly fluffy, virginity kink shit as always, they’re sickly in love it’s kinda gross, wrath’s trying her best if there’s something inaccurate pls dm me but I tried to do a lot of research to make this respectful and accurate so I hope that comes across <3
Tumblr media
“Ifrit…” zephyr breathed. They swallowed thickly, tentatively putting their hands on her waist. Her skin was covered in red lace, a bralette that pushed her breasts up enough to practically spill over and panties that hugged her hips, digging into the soft curve of her waist. She looked absolutely breathtaking beneath them.
“You picked it out for me moth, don’t know why you’re so speechless” ifrit was flushed red at this point, picking at the hem of her bra and fidgeting like she was truly nervous, like she truly couldn’t believe zephyr was this in awe of her.
“I’m speechless because of you, you look better in it than I could’ve ever imagined”
They thumbed over the fabric, fingers delicately tracing over her smooth skin. They didn’t tug at the lingerie even though they craved to see her. Months without intimacy keeping zephyr more on edge than they’d like to admit, though they’d happily wait years if it was what made ifrit comfortable. But she initiated. She asked zephyr to pick her out something to wear for when they first saw her again after the surgery and they were more than happy to oblige.
"Do you want to see?" Ifrit finally asked. She grabbed zephyrs hand that had settled on her hip, seeming more than content to just stay like this. Aether and omega were the only ones who had seen her so far, being there to take care of her and help her with her dilators afterwards. Though those were never fun, as much as she almost hoped they would be.
But it was nothing for zephyr to see or be involved with even though they offered. She wanted this to be special, some kind of grand reveal for some reason. Maybe for her own ego, or just saving the weirdness of having them look at her post op while things still didn't look quite right.
"Please marigold" zephyr breathed. Their hands intertwined together over the waistband of her panties pushing and pulling them down to reveal herself. Zephyr tried not to completely gasp at the change. They tried not to immediately reach out to touch her though with the way ifrit was breathing heavy, they were sure that's all she really wanted.
"Is it… is it ok?"
"You're absolutely beautiful ifrit"
Ifrit reached down between her legs, spreading herself open for them. She was already slick and shiny, working herself up for this. A weird glint of proudness along with a big smile as she ran a finger up and down her folds, showing off the slick that had accumulated.
"See how wet you get me Zeph?" Ifrit sighed. She grabbed their hand, bringing it to settle on her vulva, an invitation to touch her as well. "I can say that now" she giggled "I can tell you how wet you make me"
Zephyr used their fingers to open her up, thumbing up and down trying not to act like they were examining her. But it was fascinating, and she looked perfect, tempting. Their finger came to rest on that pretty little bud at the top, giving it a bit of pressure before tentatively rubbing in a circle. Ifrits leg twitched, hips bucking a bit with the sensation. Not entirely new, but with zephyrs hand it only added a new form of arousal to the act.
"Still sensitive?"
"It feels good- don't stop" ifrit breathed in, arching a bit off the pillows as zephyr made faster circles. No longer simply experimenting, but knowing how to make her actually feel good. Maybe zephyr asked mist for help before hand, sue them.
"Can you cum like this?" Zephyr could feel ifrit twitch and clench as they worked. Obscene, wet sounds came from their fingers, now covered in ifrits arousal.
"Multiple times- found out the refractory period is a lot lower too"
Zephyr got two fingers inside of her as she said that, feeling her from the inside for the first time. Silky, hot and wet, she was absolutely perfect.
"Come on then, wanna feel you cum around my fingers"
Ifrit stifled a cry, throwing her head back. It felt amazing, better than before if she was being honest, and much nicer than her own hand. She spasmed around zephyrs fingers, rolling her hips as they worked her through it. Sparks of pleasure mellowing out into an almost over sensitive buzz before they finally pulled away.
"You taste better than before too firefly" they licked a fat stripe up and around their index finger, keeping eye contact with ifrit. She blushed, squirmed as her breathing regulated more, though this didn't help.
"Shut up-" she whispered, looking away. Zephyr couldn't help but giggle a bit at her sheepishness.
Her body relaxed, legs finally opening again as zephyr waited for her to be ready. They traced swirls and squiggles up and down her legs, simply watching her.
"Wish you wouldn't stare at me like that zephs" she laughed, light heartedly, "you make me nervous"
"Can't help it, you're too pretty, am I not allowed to stare at my beautiful fire lily?"
"No I brought you in here to fuck me like a whore if I'm being honest"
The act still felt new, even if it really wasn't. Settling between her legs and spreading her knees apart. She already felt prepped, though zephyr still went slow like they were scared of breaking her. Their hands smoothed over her thighs, lining their cock up to tease up and down, purposely taking time to run over her clit.
"You're ok with penetration? I'm not going to hurt you am I?"
"Need it Zeph, been waiting months for you. Wanted you to pop my cherry"
Zephyr almost choked, vision going blurry for a second as they fumbled to push into her. They felt filthy, weirdly enough. Her First time, sure they already assumed but it was different hearing it come out of her mouth like that.
Ifrit groaned at the stretch. It felt much better than the dilators she had been using, and the one off time she tried to use a dildo. Warm and close, it was different than the hard silicone. She could feel zephyr twitch inside of her, the wet slide of his cock in and out.
"Saved yourself for me? Letting me take your virginity? How sweet is my girl, spoiling me really"

warframe is so weird because
You are always running into a thing you haven't tried out yet
"The sprimblaya is soo op! Its super boring to use, has a 10 minute reload time and stuns everyone in a 5 mile radius whenever i use it but damage number big so its meta"
"The three letters on this coaster have extreme lore implications"
Running into a glitch while in a squad and apologizing to each other about it
"look at my cool stalker fashionframe, I think it looks really cool" (it's just pitch black and violently saturated red)
Some random guy in region chat complaining about how he can't say words anymore, he will also use Grendel as shorthand for fat shaming seemingly unaware of what he's doing
Certain warframes/builds that can just completely change the game (Grendel, Speedva, Titania, Yareli, Zephyr)
Solaris United rank 5
Someone living out their entire game in character as their operator oc, making social media posts in character, extremely dedicated to saying everything in character. Their fashion also usually looks like a skyrim mod (sometimes they do it in third person and speak about their operator like it's their little virtual pet)
"look at my cool fashionframe, i did the newer thing but prime" (it's just white and violently yellow gold)
Some random person in relay chat offering blowjobs in exchange for an affinity blessing
Spending more time customizing shit/optimizing builds than you spend playing the game
"look at my cool fashionframe" (Their philosophy seems to be that every single customization slot needs to be filled by something or they will die)
Dropping into a lobby where two players frantically type brazilian portuguese/italian/etc in the chat and you don't understand the language but you understand enough to think that they might be making fun of you
Some random person in region chat saying the horniest shit imaginable
"look at my cool fashionframe" (it actually looks insanely good except the item they used is something you simply cannot get even if you wanted to pay $40000 for it)
Playing the most immersive, best quest ever only to find out that you are physically incapable of beating the archons and you have to teach your little brother how to play warframe just to finish the quest
I can go on and I will

Mountain finds a really rare and complex plant sitting in his greenhouse with a note from a secret admirer. Said secret admirer is observing from their hiding spot hoping the seduction technique Pebble recommended works
jimothyyyyy. i got the stupidest idea for this while eating dinner, so here you go <3 happy valentines day!
Tumblr media
"So, uh . . ." Mountain chuckles a little, cocking his head. "I take it this is supposed to remind me of you?" The earth ghoul unravels the orange ribbon from its bow around the pot. "Or, a certain part of you?"
Ifrit's grin is as wide as his face. He bounces on his heels, pleased with himself and his gift. "Yep!"
The gift in question is a small potted cactus. Not just any cactus, of course--it's rather smooth for a normally prickly plant, more cucumber-like. Rounded and full at the top, extending down with the same width (or, should Mountain say girth) until it reaches the soil. There, a few spikes do extend from its base, but its overall even texture is far from usual.
The plant's odd silhouette greeted him when he entered the greenhouse just a few minutes ago, placed prominently atop his workbench. The simple gray pot was tied with a silky, orange bow, and a little tag dangled from the side. Even from many feet away, Mountain could see slanted, sharp handwriting in black ink, which could only really have belonged to a select few ghouls.
Mountain had traced along the lines that run vertically down the body of the plant, shaking his head when he finally realized what they--and the full plant--really resembled.
Didn't help that a barely-audible snicker gave away his spying secret admirer when the earth ghoul's finger ran back up to the top of the cactus and caressed the indent at the top.
Trichocereus bridgesii monstrose. A slow-growing cactus that forms tall, cylindrical shapes with bulbous, rounded 'heads'.
Also known as the penis cactus.
"Did Dew help you pick this out?" Mountain asks now, thoroughly amused.
"Nope."
"Aether?"
"Nee-ope."
The earth ghoul blinks at Ifrit. "Don't tell me Zephyr helped you."
He shrugs. "I dunno. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't . . ."
Mountain sighs, glancing at the cactus and back at Ifrit. "Well. They do love your cock, so . . ."
"Guilty as charged," Ifrit grins, holding up his hands. "You do like it, though?"
"Your cock?"
Ifrit's grin fades, but only because he sighs, fake exasperated. "No, the plant, Mount," he scoffs.
"I quite like both, actually." Mountain gives him a quite charming shit-eating grin of his own, pulling the fire ghoul in for a smooch. "Thank you for the gift. Even if it was purchased in attempt to make me want your dick every time I see it."
Ifrit hums against his lips, reaching down to grab at Mountain's ass a little. "Mm, does it make you want it now?"
Mountain huffs a laugh, giving him a full, deep kiss before pulling away again. He sits at the workbench and slides the cactus over, looking between it and Ifrit thoughtfully. "Hm. Maybe. Persuade me."
Ifrit sticks his thumbs into the waistband of his sweats and wiggles his hips. Just barely sliding them down so those damned hip vees come into view. He smiles, cheeky. "You wanna compare?"
aaaand just in case anyone needs a reference for this magical cactus:

@crunchyspaghetti gave me permission for more coffee drabbles (sorry I didn't post it when I said I would. I kept getting distracted and scrolling like a silly goose 🫠) although this isn't specifically a coffee drabble. It's more of, "yes, there's coffee there that Coulson made, but that's not the main focus," kinda thing. 🫶🏻
*Hey, it's me from the future. This accidentally turned into something a lil longer than I originally intended it to be, thus why I put it under a cut. Hope you brought your fluoride bc you're about to get some tooth rotting fluff of Coulson and Daisy. 🫶🏻
I also promise this isn't a joke post either. Only time I pull the same joke multiple times in a row is with my blue collar bois and @skoulsons.... Bc I love busting her chops for all the trauma she gives me. 🫶🏻
Daisy came back from a week long, absolutely taxing solo mission. She really needed to get her debrief done ASAP, so Coulson made sure the coffee pot was ready for her. In the kitchen, he was greeted with a shell of his youngest agent. She had deep, dark circles under her irritated eyes, her stride was short and almost staggered, and Coulson could see the fluttering of her eyelids every few seconds.
Coffee wasn't going to fix this. She needed rest.
"Daisy, are you sure you shouldn't sleep first?"
"Coulson, come on. We both know there's so much I have to go over for the debrief. The sooner I get through it, the more details I'll be able to remember and put down." Even with the slight waiver in her body language and slight slur of her words, she had a fierceness in her eyes that was protesting her body's wishes.
"If you're sure?" His words earned him a scowl, just like May's, but not as deadly. "Grab your coffee. Let's go to the couch. I'll help you go over it and make sure it's at least coherent." He gets a half-hearted fist to the arm as she shuffled past to get her mug.
After gathering her laptop and some forms, they met on the couch in the common area, some of her papers on the coffee table, her coffee (now half gone) securely in her hands. Coulson had her laptop, asking questions he knew the higher ups would have, going day by day through the op, typing out quick bullet points to help Daisy expound on later. He could see her faltering, sinking into the couch further and further, her grasp on the mug loosening minute by minute. He'd catch her closing her eyes for a few long seconds before lazily blinking them open, clearly not all there... So he let her silently fight it off, talking in a low voice to help sabotage her attempt at staying awake.
It didn't take long. They reached halfway through day two before she closed her eyes, head lolling to the side, towards him. Closing the laptop, he deposited it on the table top. Coulson ever so carefully removed the now cold mug of coffee that was teetering on the edge of spilling from his young agent's hand, setting it down on the flat surface in front of him. His small, slow movements on the couch were just enough to get Daisy leaning a little more precariously towards him. Gently, he closed the distance, letting her head land softly on his right shoulder. She seemed to snuggle into his presence, leaning more heavily on him. He smiled feeling the weight push into his shoulder. She's one of the strongest agents he's ever had the privilege of knowing, but even she was no match for the strong pull of slumber.
To keep her lulled, Coulson kept up some light chatter, babbling softly about some silly events that happened on base while she was gone, including Mack almost getting literally stuck in a tight spot on the Zephyr while performing some scheduled maintenance (it took three flight crew members to help him get out).
May entered the common room, stopping in her tracks. Coulson looked to her and smiled.
"Sounds like she had a doozy of a mission," he commented quietly.
"It was a long one, but she did good... Really good." Coulson could feel his chest go warm, May's praise of Daisy, a badge of honor.
"Need me?"
"It's not urgent."
"You sure?" His question was met with a look that made him want to shrink into oblivion if he didn't know any better (he really has to stop asking her stupid questions). "Okay, okay."
"You going to stay here all day?"
"For a little while longer. I don't want to move her to her bunk quite yet." At the end of his words, Daisy stirred slightly, a small grunt noise emanating from her chest and her hand twitching in her lap. 'Case and point,' he mouthed. May suppressed a small, quick smile, tipping her chin down.
"I'll be right back," she whispered as she headed back the way she came.
Where she was headed to and for what reason, Coulson couldn't even guess. Instead, he busied himself with moving Daisy at the pace of cold molasses. He kept in mind that if she stayed leaning against his shoulder, her neck was bound to be sore by the time she woke up. Adjusting a pillow to his lap, he ever so carefully shifted slightly away, bracing her body to gently set her head on the pillow. She tilted easily enough, only stirring for a moment before settling. Her legs curled up onto the couch naturally, her arms shifting towards her chest and face.
Coulson couldn't help moving her hair out of her face, gingerly tucking the loose strands behind her ear. She looked relaxed, no worry lines or smile painted her face. Her eyelashes were on the cusp of brushing her cheeks. The bow of her lips was relaxed, no taughtness to be found. Besides the dark circles under her eyes, her composure was smooth, peaceful and serene. He personally liked that look on her. The director knew she always had something on her mind, whether it was a complex problem or emotions or mischief brewing behind her eyes. It was nice to see her take a break... Albeit a break forced naturally by her distraught body, but it was still a small reprieve. A smile grew across his lips with a warmth spreading through his chest. It took everything in him to not run his fingers through her hair. The action would potentially wake her up which was the last thing he wanted to do. Instead he settled for resting his right arm on her shoulder... Or he was about to before May showed back up, a stack of folded, soft looking material in her arms.
Without saying a word, she set one down on Coulson's left side and unfolded another fuzzy blanket, slowly draping the warm navy blue fabric over the young agent. Daisy seemed to curl up just a little bit tighter as the weight of the blanket settled over her legs and torso. May bunched some of the excess material near Daisy's hands. She made sure her feet were covered with plenty of blanket to spare.
Satisfied with her handiwork, she straightened. "Call if you need anything."
"Thank you," he replied with a nod, smile still cascading features. The care from May might be quiet, but her actions always spoke volumes. And that was one of the qualities that he really liked about her. He watched as she walked away, footsteps practically silent, leaving him to take care of his charge who was curled up against him.
Coulson had thought many times when he was younger that he wouldn't have a chance to have a family, being recruited straight out of his freshman year of college. But he had definitely grown to realize day by day that not all families look the same. His looks vastly different from that of a traditional sense, but everyone around him knew the love was still the same.
