also speaking of mortally coiled tarot. originally i was planning on having hark and sar'kai as the moon and the sun but hadn't decided on which would be which. but no they're both the moon actually. unseen enemies and danger and error fits them both. they are so different but they are the same

sorry if this is silly/ too much of a spoiler, but... what do I have to do to activate the Lee/Gabriel poly route? I haven't seen more than one way to flirt with Lee- and at first I thought it was because Lyth's approval was too high (at 20%) but... on the run where I didn't even flirt with Lyth AT ALL, Lyth had 40% friendship while Lee has 10% as usual. at least, I assume this is what is wrong, considering when the MC wakes up to voices, the only option with 2 people is Gabriel and Lyth? I understand if you can't answer/ if it'd be too spoilery, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong
Sorry for the confusion here! I believe this all avoids major spoilers and addresses some things that need some explaining.
Just to clarify, flirting doesn't impact the friendship bar; they operate as separate mechanics. However, you're right – there seems to be an issue with it. I recall suspecting that points weren't being allocated correctly a while ago, but I forgot to follow up on it. I'm really sorry about that oversight. I tend to get tunnel-visioned at times and miss certain details. I definitely need to find a better way to keep track of these things.
As for the poly aspects, there are some reasons as to why Lee wouldn't go with Gabriel to wake you that morning, so the first choice for them is in the camp. As long as you don't miss the unmissable option in the camp, you're okay. I know you didn't mention it, but I want to also address Lee's ending (also Ly's). I struggled to find a poly option that felt natural, but I intend to revisit these later should a better idea come along. Perhaps I just needed a break from it. For now, Gabriel holds the choices to advance the poly routes, but it's not needed!
You do not need exact numbers in regard to relationships, so feel free to do the end with the RO you prefer.
And just to reassure you, no choices related to these routes are hidden, especially since the story is still in its early stages.

name changes masterlist
so i sometimes change a character's name just because i decide that i don't like the old one or it just doesn't fit for some reason. i figured instead of like making a new post for every time i do that ill just make a big list of guys who get different names. I'll also be including spelling changes and shortening/elongating of names if it's of particular note.
general format is old name -> new name; some have multiple name changes, so the current name will be furthest to the right. any characters that still "keep" an old name for any reason (alias, nickname, etc) has the old name in question in italics. if I'm PLANNING on renaming a character sometime soon I'll be listing them with (TBD)
mortally coiled
Hook -> Hark
Line -> Lythe
Sinker -> Sar'Kai
Fake News -> Fane
Panik -> (TBD)
Obnoxious Warfare Operative -> Talos
Kakistocrat -> Kakisto
Sanctuary -> (TBD)
Oilslick -> Blacktar
(like 12 different spelling variations of "rougarou") -> Roupgaruke
Baby -> Baily -> Bailey
Hellrazer -> Razar

101 Ways To Kill Bucky Barnes
The Client
Tumblr media
    The lights in the restaurant were set low, happy couples sat at tables with candles lit. The whole building exuded warmth and money, from the dimly lit chandeliers to the crystal wine glasses. Not that it mattered to you, as you walked across the open floor, your heels making a steady click as you walked. Heads turned when you passed, the snug form fitting deep burgundy dress hugged you perfectly. It's low neck line giving the perfect amount of cleavage to be shown, accented by the opal stone that hung a rose gold chain.
You exuded sexiness and confidence, how could you not? It was part of the job, dressing to kill, meeting clients in high profile and often case, much like this one, expensive upscale restaurants like this one. Long gone were the days of meeting them on the streets, smoke filled bars or back alleyways. You had come along way since then and you wouldn't have it any other way.
    Your hair was pulled up off your shoulders as it always was, whether working or not. You like being able to see over you shoulders, being able to tell if someone was coming up from behind. You approached the table where a singular man sat in what looked like a very high priced suit. He stood slightly as you settle down in the chair opposite of him.
    "So.. you're her?" He asked a little shell shocked.
    "Were you expecting someone else?" You asked, giving him a coy smile as the waiter poured you a glass of red wine.
     "I don't know, just guessed the darkness wouldn't look so... beautiful." He replied, blinking hard a couple of times.
    "Try not to think about it, you called me because you have a situation?" You asked, nonchalantly while flipping through the menu. You hated small talk, you would rather get the meeting done and over with.
    "No, yeah kinda." He responded as you slowly looked up from your menu, you took a deep breath.
    "Look, you are the one that called me, if you are going to be wishy washy from the get go I'm leaving." You tried to keep your voice even and keep the irritation from seeping into your words.
    "Sorry, I get a little tongue tied around stunning women." He made eye contact for the first time since you sat down. They were a dull grey and a busted blood vessel ran through the left, to much time spent in front of a screen.
    You sat back and stared hard at him, the suit was definitely from an experienced tailor, it molded to his lythe frame. The tailor tried to make the man who sat in front of you look less gangly, but there is only so much you can do when someone has no muscle tone. His watch screamed of wealth as well, but you could see the knob to set the time was well worn and dirt was caked in the grooves. He spent a lot of time fiddling with it, anxious habit most likely.
     The man was pale, so it didn't look like he ever left his office or home. Definitely someone who was not capable of getting his perfectly manicured hands dirty. You bit your bottom lip as you studied him, slowly you reached out and gently lifted your wine glass from the table.
    "Flirting with me will not get you anywhere but the bottom of the Hudson." You stated before taking a sip. You decided that he would be easily frightened, so intimidating him would be the fastest way to get this over with.
    "Hmm, hard woman, love it." He flirted a bit more giving you a creepy grin before he shifted a bit. "There is a man that used to go by the name of the Winter Soldier. I trust you know of him."
    You took a deep breath, who hadn't heard of him. The man was a legend, the worlds best assassin some would say. You heard word that he dropped the life and went to other side. Working with people that were good, but still.. this man had to be off his rocker if he thought that he could be taken out.
    "From the look on your face I'll take that as a yes. The organization I work for wants him eliminated, he is a loose cannon and for our reasons, needs him dispatched." He told you as you took another sip of your wine.
    "You do realize that he was trained by Hydra and isn't just a normal person, right?" You asked, leaning back slightly in your chair, crossing your arms.
"Does that scare you?" He asked, raising his eyebrow.
"Not, but that means I'm raising the price." You stated, staring across the table. He raised his eyebrow at you. "I'm doubling what I asked for, you know the stories of the Winter Soldier just as well as I do. I'm not stupid, there is a higher risk of me dying or worse, being caught."
"We'll pay it." He replied calmly, you nodded as he stuck his hand out.
——
You shut the door on your expensive apartment and pulled the wig off you had been wearing, tossing it to a chair. Your fingers find the hair tie and pulled it out, allowing your natural hair to fall free. Slowly you walked up to the darkened window pane, looking out over the twinkling lights of the city.
Kill the Winter Soldier, by any means necessary. They wanted you to kill a legend, the worlds best assassin and you had agreed to it. You knew it wasn't going to be easy, in fact this would be your hardest hit you had taken on, that didn't mean you weren't going to do it. And with the money they were paying you you would be able to retire and leave the life of the worlds second best assassin known only as the Darkness.
It was a moniker given to you while you operated in Slovakia. Most of your hits were done in the dark, or at night and as you moved countries, it followed you. Most people thought the assassin Darkness was a man cause of the difficulties of your crimes but then again being a woman made it easier sometimes. No one expected you to be the hired murderer.
You walked away from the window, stopping by the fridge to grab a bottle of wine and a wine glass before heading to your room. You kicked your heels off and turned your lap top on. Time to learn as much as you could about the one known as the Winter Soldier, time to distinguish fact and reality.

Cyacrual
Performance, 2020
Documentation from Transmission Online Festival hosted by Lumen, Stockholm: https://www.lumenproject.se/events/transmission
Cyacrual is a circulating address to the rib bones of “AL 288-1” or “Dinkinesh”, one of the oldest known bi-pedal females, also referred to as “Lucy”- named after The Beatles song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
A fabric version of this ribcage, alongside two different interpretations of a pillar, are sewn onto the shirt that Cara wears in this performance. This design is a scaled down version of a work titled Listening Curtain, a large fabric hanging made in collaboration with artist Susanna Jablonski as part of their ongoing project "Gender of Sound".
After exploring ASMR-like, brush strokes and folly sounds made via tiny bursts of air blown into the mic, Cara embarks upon an incessant repetition of her own name “Cara” and the name Lucy pronounced backwards - “Ycul”. Her own name is vocalised on the out-breath whilst “Ycul'' is pulled through her mouth ingressively on the in-breath. By perpetually circulating these two names through her body in this way, Cara wishes to acknowledge one of the only equivalences she may be able to share with “Lucy” - that of a given name.
Her impulse is to tame, even drain (if she could) the sound of The Beatles from these bones. She wishes to soothe them with her brush, greet them from within an alternative paradigm of sound-making to the one that they have previously been defined by. A kind of caressive music perhaps, one that seeps out from the tiny cracks within each of their bodies. A music able to explore the potential of sound and listening as a transformative rather than defining entity.

The Upper Bound on the Tensor-to-Scalar Ratio Consistent with Quantum Gravity. (arXiv:2010.13394v1 [gr-qc])
We consider the polynomial inflation with the tensor-to-scalar ratio as large as possible which can be consistent with the Quantum Gravity (QG) corrections and Effective Field Theory (EFT). To get a minimal field excursion $\Delta\phi$ for enough e-folding number $N$, the inflaton field traverses an extremely flat part of the scalar potential, which results in the Lyth bound to be violated. We get a CMB signal consistent with Planck data by numerically computing the equation of motion for inflaton $\phi$ and using Mukhanov-Sasaki formalism for primordial spectrum. Inflation ends at Hubble slow-roll parameter $\epsilon_1^H=1$ or $\ddot{a}=0$. Interestingly, we find an excellent practical bound on the inflaton excursion in the format $a+b{\sqrt r}$, where $a$ is a tiny real number and $b$ is at the order 1. To be consistent with QG/EFT and suppress the high-dimensional operators, we show that the concrete condition on inflaton excursion is $\frac{\Delta \phi}{M_{\rm Pl}} < 0.2 \times \sqrt{10}\simeq 0.632$. For $n_s=0.9649$, $N_e=55$, and $\frac{\Delta \phi}{M_{\rm Pl}} < 0.632$, we predict that the tensor-to-scalar ratio is smaller than 0.0012 for such polynomial inflation to be consistent with QG/EFT.

Interview with Local Blend Glass
We carry an assortment of totally unique glass pieces at each of our locations and this month we are highlighting local vendors that we think are kickin’ glass! Last week we interviewed Street Kitty glass, and this week we’re excited to tell you all about Local Blend! You can get 10% off Local Blend glass between Aug 20 to Sept 2nd at Dockside’s Shoreline, Ballard, or SODO locations. Please note that Local Blend Glass is not currently available at our Green Lake store.
Follow Local Blend on Instagram for updates and photos!
 Check out this photo of the owner, Scott, in the place where he makes all the magic happen! Cool, right? Learn more by reading the interview with him below:
How did you get started? Where did you get your training?
I had a friend who owned a glass shop in downtown Mount Vernon, WA. Him and his wife had a small one bench studio in the storefront window where my training began. From there started lots of different spots to blow glass, often visiting fellow glass shops and friends to learn techniques.
When do you work? Who else is part of your business?
In the summer time I generally try to get out into the shop by 6am at the latest in order to beat the heat! Especially when making bigger pieces. Winter is a totally different story. I prefer to wait until 9am or so in order to get the shop warmed up with the kilns and heater since our ventilation pulls so much air out. It’s almost impossible to heat/cool the shop while operating!
Where do your ideas come from?
Most of my ideas come from simply bending, melting, and shaping the glass around in different fun directions! Not all of which come out as masterpieces, of course.
What tools do you use?
Our tools consist of graphite in the form of paddles, reamers, bowl pushes and tweezers for shaping. And then the most important is a desk mounted torch, specifically made for glass blowing, which runs off propane and refined oxygen. In addition to a large array of hand torches, and shaping tools.
How has your practice changed over time?
Other than the years of constant growth of knowledge and ability, I’d say the biggest change overall was the investment of our glass lathe used to assist in the production of larger bongs and vessels such as steam rollers and larger oil rigs.
What is your output like? How long does it take you to make a pipe? A bong? A rig?
Some of the basic pipes, bongs and rigs can take as little as 20-30 minutes. Although it’s not out of the question that I’ll occasionally spend as much as 8-10 hours on something heady!
What’s the best book you’ve read in the past year?
The best book I’ve read in the past year would be History of The Universe by David H. Lyth.
Which other artists are you inspired by?
My biggest inspiration for becoming a glass artist is my good friend Gordon Anderson. We refer to him as “Uncle Gordon.” One of the coolest 70-year-olds I’ve ever met! I first saw Gordon blowing glass in the Cascade Mall in Burlington, WA when I was 8 years old. It was at that moment I knew what I wanted to do! To this day, Gordon and I will get together, talk glass, blow glass, and maybe even occasionally “use” glass.
Do you listen to music while you create? If so, what’s been on regular rotation lately?
I am a music feen! I like just about every type of music. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of Sturgill Simpson, Whiskey Meyers, Necro, Dub FX, Seth Sentry, Animals, Pantera, the list goes on and on!
What else inspires you?
My wife and 2 kids are my main inspiration. Also, thinking of all those amazing individuals who have chosen one of our pieces to take home and enjoy as their very own makes me feel so incredibly grateful and truly inspires me to keep going!
What do you do in your free time?
I like going dirt biking, wakeboarding, hiking, camping, snowboarding, BBQing with friends, pretty much anything outdoors, I’m in!
What’s your spirit animal and/or a superpower you’d love to have?
Never thought about a spirit animal. But as a superpower, hands down I’d like to be able to fly! No wings, no jets, or props. Just straight levitation! Hahaha!
Do you do custom commissions?
In the past I’ve done all sorts of custom work for our amazing customers. Although, in the past year or so we’ve had to stop in order to keep up with our production line.
What’s the craziest piece you’ve ever worked on?
That would have to be the spirits serving station I made or Terramar Brewing and Distilling in Edison Washington. It’s not for smoking of course, but functional and amazing all the same!!! 2nd would be a 5 pound full color octopus pipe.
Do you ever offer workshops?
I don’t offer workshops since insurance would be so expensive and we simply don’t have the time to allocate.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone starting out in this industry?
I’d say the same as for any industry you want to be successful in, and thats “get ready to work, and work hard!!!”
What’s your relationship with cannabis?
I like to smoke when I’m out in nature, or at night curled up watching a movie! But really, anytime’s a good time with the appropriate company!
What’s your favorite piece(s) we have in our stores at the moment? (pic)
That would have to be the Slumpy tube(T-110) because they’re really fun to make, and work great as a bong or a rig!

"Outline on our advanced mobile phones, requiring a Uber ride or following our pizza conveyance aren't viewed as anything strange, yet without spatial information they just wouldn't occur."
Dave Pimblott, an individual from the NZSEA judging board, said the passages presented for the current year secured an assorted scope of industry segments and were world class, both reasonably and in their application.
"The nature of passages this year are illustrative of a shocking exhibit of geospatial activities over the broadest conceivable scope of business controls. It is delighting to see passages from government and private industry, as well as from not-revenue driven organizations," he said.
