“then i would love to hear all about it.” she would never tell him, at the very least not tonight but she had been more worried than anything when she had heard that he wasn’t in town and he hadn’t called. she’d been worried, when she had heard he was here tonight, about bumping into him. everyone knew that he was fickle with his affections, at the very least he had been previous to his finding himself adventure and it was very possible that whilst she had missed him, her thumb hovering over his name on her phone - he hadn’t missed her at all. now he was here? the relief was stronger than she had been expecting it to be. following him from the club she was happy to cling to his hand and let him lead the way. her back against the wall was a welcome feeling and she gave a low hum against his lips as she returned his kiss and her hands reaching to run through the back of his hair. “i missed you too…an embarrassing amount really.”  she aopdmitted quietly as she nudged her nose with his own. “now we gotta go eat so i can hear these stories or i won’t be able to take my hands off of you.” 

he didn’t know how the world would react to this new him, didn’t know how ophelia would react. he had never been someone who cared about what people thought about him, especially girls. but now? now it was like he was desperate to be someone she was proud of. he had so many people pulling him in so many directions at the moment, trying to tell him what he should do and who he should be, it was refreshing to just be with her. and to see that they had seemed to fall right back into step and were picking up right where they left off was a relief. lord knew she could get whoever it was that she wanted, could’ve easily gotten over whatever they were while he was gone. “an embarrassing amount, huh?” he mumbled against her lips, continuing to kiss her for a few more moments before he leaned his forehead against hers. “well, i hope you know that the feeling is very, very, mutual.” he said, leaving one more kiss against her lips before he grabbed her hand once more and began walking with her towards the restaurant. “so tell me, baby, what did i miss in the elusive and fabulous life of miss ophelia evans?”

if  anyone  knew  what  nick  was  like  ,  it  was  ophelia  .  ophelia  and  felicity  both  had  the  joy  of  experiencing  the  very  worst  of  nick  lehoy  and  his  real  personality  .  in  a  way  ,  it  was  probably  a  positive  experience  in  the  end  -  you  really  couldn’t  be  involved  with  anyone  worse  .  “  are  you  enjoying  single  life  ?  if  you  need  help  cleaning  up  your  image  then  you  should  give  me  a  call  .  i  have  some  great  ideas  to  make  you  seem  more  desirable  ,  “  shit  eating  grin  all  over  his  face  .

okay so she had done it, committed the cardinal sin, but she was only human. falling for johnny kennedy seemed to be out of her control. besides, she would have liked to try and see anyone be strong after the time they had spent together that had long since stopped being just chaotic sex, that still happened sure but they also spent nights talking, listening to each other, the sun awake long before they gave into sleep. not any more though, not if the rumors were true, johnny once again had a girlfriend and she’d be just another name. the cough behind her was well known now after she had slipped out of the event but she didn’t turn to face him, not properly. “johnny your girlfriend will be waiting inside for you.” 

he had planned on telling her before she had to find out for herself, but it was hard to bring up something negative when they were having so much fun together. and it wasn’t just the sex anymore for him, which was odd, but he was welcoming it. she bought a lightness into his life that hadn’t been there before. but of course, his agents weren’t satisfied. wanted him to be taken seriously, to be seen with someone who was known for a prestigious and clean cut image. so he reluctantly agreed to enter into yet another p.r relationship, one with absolutely nothing else to it other than that. after him and areum had walked the carpet together and made their pleasantries around the party, he spotted ophelia out of the corner of his eye, and immediately made a bee line towards her once he saw her leaving through the back. he looked around to make sure nobody else was around before approaching her, grabbing her arm as he turned her to face him. “it means nothing, alright?” he said with a shake of his head. “my agents set it up, they’re trying to make me look all clean cut and proper, but there’s nothing going on between me and her, nothing at all.” he said with a shake of his head. “i meant to tell you, i did, but...i didn’t want you to think it mattered. you know you’re my girl, don’t you?”

she wasn’t one to hold grudges, well not for anyone except georgia, that girl took all of her bitter energy, she didn’t have any for anyone else. the look on his face was enough to tell her that this was going to be an easy night between the two of them. not that she was sure that she had ever had a hard night with him really. maybe a couple of ones where he had been rough and had needed a little hand here and there but nothing like the rumours like liked the surround the poor male. poor male, yea right. “i wasn’t aware that we had left of bad terms baby.” she’d simply watched him drive off in his car and booked herself on a flight back to LA. leaning into his touch a little she smiled softly up and him and bit at her lip a little. “i’m good, out with the girls but i’m sure i can ditch if you’re going to provide me with a better course of action for the evening.” 

he had hoped that there wouldn’t be any bitter energy between them when he returned, hoped that she wasn’t the kind of girl that would resent him for doing what he had to do for himself. and judging by how she was acting, that was far from the case, and he couldn’t help the grin that spread across his lips because of it. “i know we didn’t, i just didn’t want there to be any hard feelings. you know that if it was up to me, i could’ve spent forever traveling the world with you, baby girl...but i had to figure myself out first.” he said, tilting his head to the side as his hands instinctually fell to her hips, pulling her close to him as if no time had passed. “you sure?” he asked with a raise of his brow, looking over at the group of her girlfriends that were throwing evil eyes his way before looking back at her. “because i’ve been fucking dreaming of seeing you every day since the day you left, you know.”
