I've been thinking about this line, was it a chekov's gun too? Was this important to be mentioned? Will we see it in season 3?
Can we please talk about this?

You met Crowley right before you met the Winchesters, five years ago.
You were in the middle of a hunt when you felt the front door of that abandoned house open, letting the night breeze in.
“Hurry up Garth, I could really use some backup” was the text to your contact. A couple of steps were heard in the adjoining room.
Your phone rang out, a beginner mistake.
The monster heard him and went into the room where you were.
“Bloody Hell” you heard him curse. “C'mon Darling, I’m not the bad guy”
“Can you see me?” You asked, realizing that that had been a very silly mistake. The second mistake. The intruder, who you now knew was a demon since he was trapped, made you feel nervous and intimidated, and although you had been on a lot of hunts where your enemy made you feel at a disadvantage, it had never been that way. And for some reason, you had a hunch which told you that you could trust him.
“I’m not going to hurt you, I’m your backup” he said with a weird accent.
“Shut up. Why are you following me?” You asked.
“I’m not following you. Who do you think you are talking to?” He replied defending himself.
You heard an engine approaching. “That might be Garth’s team” you thought. The vehicle doors slammed. Two men came out of it.
“Moose, I’m here” shouted the intruder “I’m trapped.”
“Dammit, there are more of them,” you thought.
“How is that you are even here?” Asked the one he called Moose. “Nicknames, great”
The demon’s reinforcements entered the room, but they were not stopped by the trap. “Monsters and demons together?”
“Step back or I’ll shoot” you shouted at them.
“Hey, easy. We’re with Garth” said one of the men taking a step forward.
“I said stay back,” you repeated, pointing to his face.
“Shut up Dean,” said Moose “I’m Sam, this is my brother Dean. You may have heard of us”
“The Winchesters?” Sam nodded. “Sorry, I didn’t know”
“No problem,” said Dean “would you mind putting down the gun?”
“Oh, yeah. Sorry again” you added and looked at the demon that was still trapped “And who the hell is that?”
“I’m Crowley. And yes, I’m from Hell” he said, smiling at you “Moose, please, break the trap so I can get out”
“Or we can leave you there,” Dean said as his brother broke the trap.
The demon looked at him, visibly upset. “You can’t, you need me” Crowley replied before disappearing.
“Follow me, let’s go to a safe place before they come back” Dean told you.
“So, what are you hunting?” Sam asked as you reached the bunker.
“I don’t know, it seemed to be a regular shifter but by the time I found him, silver didn’t work. So I had to call Garth and spend the night in a motel. The thing is, the monster followed and attacked me. One thing lead to another and here we are now” you explained.
“Well, that’s new,” Sam said. “We should call Garth again and see what he knows”
“Do you want me to leave this one or-” you started, but Dean interrupted you.
“You can stick with us on this one,” he said smiling “It’s always nice to meet another hunter”
Since then, you have not separated from the boys. First, it was only for work. Until one day you started to stay in the bunker and you realized that they were good company, so you asked if you could live with them.
Sam and Dean became brothers to you, and you even adopted their surname, since you never had one.
It was a long time that you didn’t participate in the hunts, because “they didn’t want to put you in danger”. So you stayed in the bunker providing information, as “the great Bobby Singer did before” according to them.
The thing was, that being in the bunker for so long was a bit boring, and although Castiel spent some time with you between hunts, you ended up spending a lot of time alone. And it was in those moments that you missed the devil.
Your relationship with Crowley was complicated, something evidenced from that first encounter. And no, it was not a love affair, even though the demon spent a long time looking at you in silence. It was rather as if something connected you and him, something beyond being co-workers. It was as if they were family. Which was also impossible, since demons couldn’t have family and the man Crowley had been was long dead. And yet there was this strange bond.
“Goodnight,” you told the boys after taking a last look at the book you had been reading on spells.
“Night” they answered in unison, which made you smile. You loved when they spoke at the same time.
It wasn’t a surprise when you heard his footsteps by your door because you knew that he always went around the bunker at night, when he thought no one was awake. What caught your attention, was that this round was earlier than normal.
The door of your room opened and you made out the figure of the king in the gloom. He stepped forward and sat down beside you on the bed.
“What do you want Crowley?” You asked without getting an answer. The demon sat still next to you. “Crowley?” You said, turning around.
The demon came closer and put a hand over your mouth.
It was then when you realized that this wasn’t Crowley.
Thanks for reading. I hope you like it.
This is going to have four chapters, if you want to be in the tags, let me know.
