i don't think it's that much of a secret that i don't keep an eye on the blog and the reason is that sadly, due to my inexperience when i set up this blog, i used a main blog instead of a sideblog and now it just won't let me have blog members and i can't see the notifs unless i sign in into this account (which i often don't do since i've already been too busy lately to regularly check tumblr on my main account anyway). agent 24 still means a lot to me and i've recently been getting back into reading their fanfics too...... I've also been meaning to give it a new blog theme because the one that it currently has isn't suited for mobile web and it doesn't show dates on posts for some reason? idk if i just turned it off or somethinf. like it's still a cool theme and all butttt it probably doesn't fit the needs for this kind of blog so i should probably change it :p

So, OFMD is my all time favorite show and I am in love with every single character and have been wanting to try and join the fandom as Stede Bonnet, but I am SO nervous. I would just GO for it, with the understanding that there's a learning curve to the "rp etiquette" of Tumblr (and some users, as is the way with social media, will be more forgiving and flexible with "mistakes" than others). I would introduce yourself, as you have done here, to people who seem fun and chill, and express your interest in interacting with them IC. 1) Tell them you would be writing Stede. 2) Read their rules page (usually there is a pinned post at the top of a writer's blog offering a mobile-friendly link to their rules, which is basically how they prefer to interact with other writers, how often, in what format, what the writer's or "mun's" triggers are, etc) and tell them that you have: this seems to be a real sign of good faith around here. 3) Collect a small list of people (maybe 4 or 5) to start with, and follow them. If your rp blog is a "sideblog" to a main account, also let them know that, so that when a non-rp blog (you) follows them, they know who the heck it is! I cannot underscore enough how important it is to find people with whom you jive ooc, as yourselves. It simply will not be fun if you don't. So take your time with this part! 4) Make your blog. Customize your theme as much or little as you like, but a good rule of thumb is to at least make an "About the Muse" page (muse's story), a "Rules" (do's and don't's of interacting with you) page, and a "Verses" (discrete story timelines, usually grouped by how much you adhere to canon or by romantic "ships") page. Your muse is a "canon" muse: that is, a muse that already exists in the official fandom universe. 5) If you don't have it already, GET XKIT REWRITTEN (a browser extension that lets you alter Tumblr's increasingly perplexing and user-unfriendly interface, lol. There are versions for both Chrome and Firefox. 6) Start writing. You rp on Tumblr by reblogging a person's IC (in-character) post to your blog, and adding a text reply. They then reblog you. And so on and so forth. Here is where you consult their rules page to know things like: are they okay if I trim posts? Are they okay with me dm'ing them to ask for replies? What's the most courteous way to use tags in order to easily find past writing or filter my blog? How explicit can writing with this partner get re violence or s*xual themes? Etc. Everyone is different.

Re making your blog fancy: You do NOT need to be well-versed in Photoshop, themes and coding in order to run a blog. A lot of people now rp on Tumblr Mobile, where theme graphics don't show up anyway. Those who still use graphics vary, but most of us really don't care if our writing partners use them as long as we can continue to do so.

However, if you're still anxious, I've got a couple graphics and rpg sources right off the bat that can help you tremendously:

In the sites infancy, the website crashed on multiple occasions. Sometimes the site would be down for an hour or so and they'd have a little dragon monster looking creature as their idle page when the site would be down saying the site would be back up in a moment. No joke, one day, I swear this happened, or else I dreamed this, they had it say someone spilled coffee on the server and they were working to get the site back up. We all laughed.

Porn banned by Government law (Tumblr was slapped with a law where they'd be liable and/or would have to shut down their site if they didn't comply. Which resulted in so much content being flagged, including Tumblr's own logo 🤡)

IOS App store drama (Apple letting Tumblr know that it needed to purge it's site of a list of words that could no longer be tagged or else Tumblr's App in Apple's App store would be removed. So Tumblr complied.)

Word blocking chaos (IOS App store at it again telling Tumblr they need to filter porn via tags so certain words were banned for a hot minute but Tumblr also shot themselves in the foot seemingly unleashing something into their system that ended up banning posts unrelated to 'porn' including themselves 🤡 Tumblr later let up on words throughout the following months lol)

Blog Update

You may of noticed, but I made a new pinned for this blog! I noticed that, with all the changes that Tumblr has made, the original layout for blogs drifted away to be more mobile-friendly. So I went ahead and added 3 important links: Tags, Discord, and FAQ. They're all self-explanatory, but the former I wanted to talk just a little bit about.

I spent all day in-between work assignments cleaning up the tag page and making it a little bit more robust- theres now more selection for general idea themes (such as those inspired from other media like Minecraft of Buffy), and also ones based on the type of threat the monsters/phenomenon's are (like torturer or zone)!

During the tag refining I realized some things with the things I've submitted- I wrote a lot about devourer, parasite,a or executioner monsters, even if there is one of each monster type. I may have to prioritize other types and maybe it'll make me get a little creative some more lol.

I may be going back through and adding/removing theme tags cause I'm still not satisfied, so keep an eye out for any changes!

okay this is my final post here! im not one for self promotion so im going to dump absolutely everything into this post lol sorry its gonna be long!

basically the gist is im moving on to original content! ultimately same type of writing, same themes and kinks and what have you. ive basically compiled all my work from the past couple years (this project and others!) and am now revamping it into a final sort of iteration. because i still love writing, ive lost most interest in fandom to any degree. in the same type of way im not really one for social media either. nothing to do with anything in regards to this account though !! its more just the entire landscape, i wanted something i could have more control over. which is to say im moving everything to my own site!

all projects and drafts and art will be going up on [svnd14l.neocities.org] - im not much of a coder but i know enough to put together a simple little archive ^_^ i have different pages for different formats of stories + seperate, slightly more elaborate, pages for my bigger projects (stories that arent simply isolated to a single work but expands over art, short-comics, side stories, and other supplimentary aspects) - though most of those are still a work in progress. theres also a journal (though its mostly used for me talking and complaining about work haha) and an askbox feature!

unfortunately it is not mobile friendly to any degree and im not inclined to change that, at least not anywhere in the near future. so in the meantime im making a new tumblr account [@svnd14lled], not sure how active it will be or really what ill be putting up yet but its there for convience. i know a lot of the appeal of this blog hinged on short form writings and concepts but ill be trying to be a little more intentional which means a little slower in what i put out. very little is ‘finished’ and im still putting up mostly drafts but it should for the most part (hopefully) be better and longer!

okay for the actuallly interesting part; as i sort of mentioned ive split my writing into two main categories. which is front-page stories and x projects.

front page stories are more isolated in concept, the draw is more for the plot and themes then attachment to the characters. not to say i dont care about the characters or theyre not fleshed out! (or that i dont get attached lol) its more just that theyre not gonna be expanded on in writing except for whats in the text. i might make some art or write some commentary but for the most part its one and done.

theyre seperated into categories based on format; oneshots, oneshot series, chaptered, chaptered series - and i basically cover all types of kinks. anything ive ever written on this blog features in at least one story. theres incest (sister/sister, mother/daughter, etc), bestiality, underage, intoxication, graphic violence and a whole lot more! the few i have listed up (not quite available to read yet as they need to be edited lol..) are just the ones ive finished drafting but theres a LOT to get through.

the second type of stories are my x projects! theyre much longer, much more complicated, and much more dear to my heart. theres only four of these but the way i treat them in a little more similar to what i was doing on this blog. though there is sort of a ‘main plot’ - it depends on the project and characters. theres still a lot to organize through cement into writing or art. as of right now only one page is ‘completed’ though with limited things to view! its a work in progress :) either way ill list out a general summary / dynamics.

WWW.JOYTOY.NET: the only page thats currently up and the only story thats currently really plot heavy. i have a strict timeline for them and theres only so much can be revealed or uploaded at a time, but theres a whole lot thatll happen!

without too much spoilers - joy is an intersex woman who was raised as a boy living in suburban boredom and hal is a man whos made a career in distributing illegal ‘movies’ with an aspiration to become a director himself - with the catch that hes not interested in having acting. the two of them meet in the summer of 1994 and decide to strike up a relationship. everything you could possibly think could happen, happens. all bases are covered and no limits are found. this story perfectly encapsulates itself; at a first glance its nothing but deprived torture porn, but if you read a little closer theres intention in every action.

basically its a lot! this one is very near and dear to my heart and ive put so much work into her. its gross, its graphic, its tragic - its joytoy baby!

THE ROSE CYCLE: a little less plot heavy and a little more self contained.

avaline was born into a wealthy and prestigous family with everything she could have wanted handed to her on a silver platter. her life was perfect until one day someone new is brought to their house. johanna - a girl who shares her age and face and now her life as its revealed that she is avalines bastard half-sister. spoiled as she is with unchecked anger issues, avaline lashes out and denounces their connection. at least thats how it always starts - because theyre stuck in a reincarnation cycle and these things never go as they think.

i say a little less plot heavy and this is the synopsis LOL well each cycle is sort of independent of eachother. connected of course but they function on their own. but we got the sister/sister co-dependency !! really nothing is as it seems with a heavy emphasis on unreliable narration.

DARLING CHILD: extremely heavy on relationships here. also featuring my favorite character <3 my darling caroline <3

caroline gets introduced to danny (who she promptly named as such because she very much loathed the name daniel and even more when she changed it to danielle) at a young age, and she never really goes away. theyre not lovers but they are something a lot worse; childhood friends and soulmates. it goes about the way as you would expect it, from children exploring themselves and their identities, to their school years as they expand horizons, to a seperation period as they go off to pursue respective interests, and all the way to coming back together as adults. theyre completely intertwined and its completely by choice.

this story hinges very much on character and character relationships. caroline is annoying, bratty, and childish - she refuses to grow up. danny is intelligent, snarky, and vindictive - she has a need for control. they work together a bit too well. the main story of this focuses on their adult years and how they finally settle into eachother with all of their history. theres a lot of age-play / regression, dom/sub dynamics, and pony play! caroline has always been quite fond of horsies.

PLAYING HOUSE: im gonna be honest, i have nearly a hundred pages of writing and have spent hours and hours poured into these characters and i dont know what the fuck is going on LMAO theyre getting a majorrrr and must needed revamp so who knows whats going on

the very basic plot of it; six siblings, one controlling, powerful, and rich mother, and a whole lot of incest. also aliens. sometimes.

anyway thats the sort of general run-down! of course this is very very basics of it, but itll take some time to get everything put together. im basically comitted to finishing these stories for the rest of forever now lol as much as i havent been entirely consistent, i ALWAYS circle back, but this is my long-term. if i ever get bored with one project of the bunch well i have fifty-billion others to get into lol

hi! as it turns out, i don't think a smaller account for my friends was the solution to my problems with using tumblr. instead i rebuilt my neocities! there's even an rss feed!! i plan on blogging maybe Mostly about movies and such, as well as sharing a lot more about my writing and my ocs hopefully; i'd also like to do a spotlight section in blog posts every now and again sharing free/low-cost art i like. there's one up already at the bottom of my newest post! check it out or not--i'll never know the difference!!!

there are people in the world who wanna make site building as easy as possible for you too. you don't necessarily have to know html/css--these are the two main tools i used to make my site:

sadgrl layout builder (i added some extra stuff, personally, but a solid choice on its own--there's lots of useful comments in the code to make customization easy! if you ever used custom themes on tumblr, this will probably feel very familiar, lol. there's lots of other layouts to choose from, but this one's easy, versatile, and already very mobile-friendly.)

russhutdown (a super easy, free, tracker-less, browser-based RSS feed generator that accepts markdown! just generate your feed and upload the xml into your neocities files to link somewhere on your site. the xml file will be converted to html, so just open up the xml file on neocities and copy/paste the < body > (without spaces obv) section to where you'd like to display the post on your site, like what i'm doing!)

Writing:

Currently on refining CH02 as we had additional ideas to make it more interesting and I fixed Ryder's way to talk since this chapter is old as fuck and back then when I wrote him he was just created.

After they ended their discussion about the next gig they wanted to proceed, everyone seemed to be hanging in his own thoughts for a while. Scharfenberg just arrives back at the table with another fresh beer when he hears V cursing a mumbled “Fuck”, eyes fixed onto his mobile phone. “Yo, what’s wrong, V?” Vijay doesn’t look up but mumbles something to him instead. “Ah, I fucked up one of my programs. I’ve installed this new intrusion program, you know? ‘S called Wizard’s Book. Scans through billions of possible codes and code words in seconds, tryin’ each in one turn. In that way I can get code-ga—”  “Okay, I hear awkward runner language, V. I’m opting out!” Ry disrupts him as he sits back down at their table and promptly decides to give Chigasaki some attention instead before they fall asleep as they just yawned. Steyr puts a smirk to his lips. He knew how to stop Ryder’s curiosity. A “Hizumi-chaaan, tell me—” however is all Vijay hears Ry say in the background because his mind is back fully concentrating into finding more data about his new gained choom named Arki.

I don't know if the current layout stays as it's been a while since I've done it and I'm always thinking about how to make it tumblr friendly as it is currently set in 16:9.

I've collected a long long list of nexus mods for Hizu to create them as fast as possible after I come back from my trip. As you have already noticed I've chosen to create a new OC in between as I desperately needed to get him out of my head before I fly away tomorrow. So Garnet exists now. Ofc he is also available from now on for asks if there are any, as I like to develop him a bit as well. I'll put some facts in a next pic post with him.

I'm mobile sometimes but I've worked out how to get Xkit Rewritten to work on mobile, so I can cut posts, but I prefer using the app sometimes bc of the minimalism of it (I'll scroll and write posts in the app, save to draft, then cut in the browser, I'll make my own little tut eventually), but I can't be bothered to queue from mobile app so sometimes I might spam post a little. if it gets to like 4-5 posts in a minute I'll just switch over to browser though

I'm here for fun and fun only! I do love a bit of angst but if you wanna go down that route we'll need to do some OOC communication first bc if I'm in the wrong headspace it can bring me down and no one wants that unsolicited (unless that's what your muse is about, then I'll be expecting it you're all good)

IC =/= OOC... most of my muses are not human and sometimes are immortal. the base media (eg Homestuck) is also problematic in ways that I can't avoid. I like to explore the thought processes of things like being on a planet you didn't grow up on, or being immortal when you previously weren't. this is completely fictional, although I do actively try to avoid anything that could be problematic, unless it's realistic, which I will tag OOC
