You're not unfortunate. You are you and you had a point. So does she but it's being drowned out by hate. Keep spreading love and acceptance, as best you can. Sometimes you can't change a persons point of view, or have them see through your eyes, especially when they themselves have gone through so much. All you can do is tell them you love them, accept them, and hope for the best. Call me a hippie but that's how I see it.
