The joy on Nelliel's face gave Jewel a brief pause.

Nell's smile lit her features, soft and bright as a fair spring breeze. Relieving too, maybe? Soul Society was a foreign realm, home to exceedingly few Arrancars, so a familiar face must have gone a long way. A comforting glimpse within a sea of unknowns...

Jewel appeared at her side with a Shunpo, gummed out grin glinting in the light.

"Hey, ain' no Shini's over here givin' you any problems is there? I'll eat 'em~"

It is one of those long nights, the ones spent talking by candlelight.

Those nights where they might sit quietly and forget the responsibilities to which they both now share.

It does not matter the topics which they discuss, it does not matter that the nights have become colder with the approach of winter. They speak until the early morning sunrise knowing that he must leave, to parts unknown. To involve himself once more in the deluge of blood which is his existence.

So much strife, so much conflict, comprises him. He is not pristine with his thousands of scars, both physical and emotional. They are a tapestry upon his skin and soul, some have defined eras of his life. But he is still soft beneath it all. Still the same young man at his core who once fought against injustice.

It is almost like a broken record this scene that plays out between them, the long goodbye. Him dragging his feet saying his goodbyes, and her unwilling to ask that he stays. She knows him well, knows that he would stay. Also knows that the world needs him, men like him.

I suppose only she would know, at what point, did her desire of his presence outweigh the world's need of him.

A gentle hand, firmly grasping his wrist, stops his departure. A wordless gaze that spoke more than any phrase was all that was shared.

He sat back down, and she sipped her tea.

Suffering Love.

Plenty of people who have shipped with me in the past will know that above all else, I enjoy forcing people to bend. When the characters are forced to shift as a matter of circumstance.

Sure, its ...CONVENIENT for characters to be together because its easy for them to be like that. And theres certainly nothing wrong with those kinds of ships. But I'm a creature of curiosity. When I rp, I want to find answers to my questions.

Just how much can someone tolerate? How far can these two muses bend in order to line up with one another?

Former Enemies. Muses with opposing viewpoints. I adore nothing more than seeing fate and circumstance conspire to bring two muses together for whatever reason. And I enjoy even more people's reactions to them. Be it positive (Oh I never thought of that pairing!) Or negative (Thats awful why would those two be together?!).

Both reactions give me immense joy.

I don't think I've ever actually had a preference. Sure I have preferences for like.... settings and fandoms, based on how much I like the character s. But uh.... I don't think I've ever really had a preference for this kinda stuff. Spacey, Fantasy, Modern, its all the same to me. I more get into like... the character dynamics and how the world works. But uh, like...the baseline setting stuff has never really been of consequence to me.

Sure, her face was partially eroded to her skull and she currently had only one good arm to work with, but she didn’t imagine her hair would have been that bad off.

Ever since her last fight, she had bathed, but she hadn’t looked into a mirror.

A thin wisp of foggy reiatsu floated up from her silent sigh.

“I.. I don’ mind.” her voice was still dried.

Shifting to sit up straighter, she added, “If ya find any bones ‘er teeth hidden in there, could ya take ‘em out? I’ll need ta redo the braids fer ‘em.”

A. What nicknames do they get called?

Chase doesn’t officially have any nicknames.

The closest he’s gotten is the title of, “Red Headed Bat Man" which he gave to himself.

I. What makes them feel safe?

On one end he feels safe when he’s alone and isolated from others. No one is looking at him and no one can get to him, but it’s a deeply uncomfortable space for him to be in because he craves the presence of other people. Chase hates being alone.

He can feel safe around people he’s decided he trusts, and those that he allows that close to him get a different side to his usual fly-by flirting routine. He’s still playful but he’s calmer and willing to approach others on a more platonically intimate level.

V. What’s their biggest pet peeve?

Being bullied or badgered at for fights when he just wants to hang out! He’s tries to be friend shaped (and nosey) but a lot of Hollows make that difficult and want none of it.

Being ceaselessly hunted is up there too. When he flees he’s done. He doesn’t want the violence and doesn’t want it to pursue him. Hypocritical of the scenario to be different when it’s flipped, but he gets hungry sometimes.
