⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡ : paige ends up having to pull you away because who the fuck did Ashlyn Watkins think she was, talking shit to your freshman? tags: swearing, paige bueckers x baddie!reader, mention osf "wife beating", bballl player reader, not proof read so many typos, established relationship
Anyone could tell when someone was made to perform. There was always a distinct look in their eye, a deep breath released in what should’ve been a career-changing action. It didn’t take an expert to figure out that you were meant to be seen.
It was in the way the cameras always found you—during warm-ups, during time-outs, even in those fleeting moments between plays. Your presence wasn’t just noticed. It was felt.
UConn’s most dominant defensive guard alongside with an offensive playmaking machine. A nightmare for any offense, quick-footed and relentless. You were everywhere—pressuring passes, cutting off lanes, moving in ways that turned good guards into hesitant ones. They knew if they fumbled, if they hesitated even a second, you were already on them.
And still, even in the chaos of the game, you looked perfect.
A flawless base, lashes full and fresh, nails a sleek, polished set—practical enough for the court, but still you. Hair laid to perfection, untouched by sweat despite the intensity of the game and atmosphere. When the camera cut to you, lips slightly parted, eyes burning with intensity, everyone watching across the nation didn’t know if they wanted you or wanted to be you.
The arena was electric. The matchup was personal. Everyone was here to watch UConn, to watch South Carolina.
To watch your girls.
And tonight? Under the blinding lights of March Madness, against South Carolina, with the whole world watching?
This was your stage.
So who the fuck did Ashlyn Watkins think she was, talking shit to your freshman?
The piercing tone of a whistle broke through the crowd’s outraged cries, and the image of Sarah Strong on the ground.
The foul was blatant—a hard block, sending Sarah sprawling onto the hardwood. But it wasn’t just the foul that set you off. It was the way Ashlyn stood over her, staring her down, like she had the right to intimidate her.
Like she had the right to intimidate anyone.
Before the refs could even get between them, you were already there. Your body moved before your mind fully processed it, stepping right into Ashlyn’s space and giving her a solid push—just enough to separate her from Sarah, just enough to send a message.
Ashlyn barely budged. But her expression shifted instantly—no longer that smug, self-assured look. Now, it was something harder, something pissed. She wasn’t used to anyone daring to move her.
Sarah, still wide-eyed and holding her head, reached up for your hand. Without hesitation, you gripped her wrist, pulling her up with authority, keeping your focus locked on Ashlyn. Sarah stumbled slightly, her hand coming up to her head, but Paige was there, steadying her her voice low, checking in on Sarah.
The gym was in full chaos—shouts, gasps, the air so thick you could feel it in your chest. Everyone felt the heat radiating off you. You were like a fuse waiting to explode, and Paige? She’d seen it before. Knew how deep that fire ran. You’d fight through hell for anyone on your team, and right now? Sarah was yours to protect.
Ashlyn’s smirk came back, but it was laced with pure irritation. She tossed her head back, then scoffed. “Make sure you hit the weight room, fucking rookie,” she muttered, her voice a venomous drip of arrogance.
And that was it.
Your jaw clenched. The muscles in your neck tensed. Your nostrils flared. Ashlyn knew better to keep her mouth shut. Before you could even think, the words shot out of your mouth like a bullet.
"Better stop hitting anyone else or we might hafta call the cops again, fuckin’ wife beater."
The gym froze.
For a half-second, just long enough for the weight of your words to crash down. The crowd was silent, processing what you just said, trying to piece it together.
Then? Chaos.
The crowd exploded. Some in shock, some in laughter—loud, boisterous, the kind of reactions that only March Madness could ignite. On the UConn bench, Geno’s face was already in his hands, an exhale that said he’d seen this trainwreck before. One hand on his hip, the other rubbing down his face, mentally preparing for whatever he’d have to explain later.
In front of you, Ashlyn’s face twisted from irritation into pure rage.
Before you could fully process the chaos around you, Ashlyn was already in your face. Her steps were heavy, chest puffed out, eyes burning into yours.
“The fuck you just say to me?”
You didn’t move a muscle. If anything, you stood taller, chin lifted just enough to show you weren’t scared. The air between you two thickened, crackling with tension. The gym wasn’t silent—far from it. Whispers swirled through the stands, the crowd unsure whether to stay quiet and hear what was going down, or to keep up with the drama.
“I said,” you drawled, each word slow and sharp, “maybe you should stop hitting people… or should we check the police reports, sweetheart?”
Behind you, Paige muttered low enough for only you to hear, “Oh, for fuck’s sake.”
Sarah, still holding her head, glanced between you two, unsure whether to step in or just let you handle it. Her hand stayed by her temple, like the hit was still rattling around in her head.
Ashlyn’s nostrils flared, her voice dropping lower, filled with venom. “Watch your mouth.”
You laughed. It wasn’t just a chuckle—it was a mocking, unapologetic laugh, sickingly sweet. “Or what? You gonna hit me next?”
The gym hummed with tension now. People were leaning in, trying to hear every word exchanged, but only a select few could actually catch what was said—UConn's team, some of the players around you, and those courtside. The rest? They could only pick up on the heat radiating off the exchange.
Paige was still close enough to mutter under her breath, “She’s not worth the tech.”
You didn’t care. Not one inch. You stood your ground, your voice low but cutting. “Honey, I’ve got 911 on speed dial and two thousand witnesses who’d love to see you with an ankle monitor.”
Ashlyn’s face twisted in anger, her eyes narrowing, her breath coming in short, sharp bursts. But before she could respond—before you could provoke her further—Paige made her move.
With effortless ease, Paige wrapped her arms around you, lifting you off the ground as if you weighed nothing.
“Nope,” Paige’s voice was firm, carrying through the chaos around you.
“Paige, put me down, right now.” You kicked your feet, your anger still boiling just beneath your skin. You could feel the crowd’s eyes on you, the way they were all in suspense, waiting for something to happen. You weren’t about to let them down now.
“Nope.”
“I’m fucking serious—”
“I know, babe.”
Still kicking, still throwing insults over Paige’s shoulder, you shot a look back at Ashlyn. “Yeah, that’s right, keep walking, Ashlyn. You got more fouls than made shots, anyway.”
The gym exploded. The noise went from tense whispers to full-blown shouts and laughter. The stands were electric, people on their feet, some hooting and hollering, others still trying to catch the tail end of what had just gone down. UConn’s bench was fired up, while South Carolina’s players shifted, looking to see who would make the next move.
From the bench, Azzi’s voice cut through the noise like a knife: “Paige, sit her ass down. I’ll grab the duck tape.”The crowd’s laughter reached a fever pitch, some of the students clapping, others just shocked at the boldness of it all. This wasn’t just a game anymore. This was personal. You’d stood up for your team, your freshman, your entire squad. And the gym knew it. Ashlyn? She was in over her head, and everyone watching could see it.
a/n: from a situation that just happened with me and my teammates...

Star-crossed in the Crosshairs (John Price x Reader)
Chapter 8: I Think I Thought I Saw You Try
Fic Summary: This mission is the pinnacle of your efforts for the past three years. Your whole team and yourself have worked countless hours, slaughtered hundreds, risked life and limb for scraps of intel, and now it all boiled down to pairing up with another taskforce to get this job done and dusted. An unexpected spanner in the works comes in the shape of your former best friend, now also a Captain and somehow resurrected from his KIA status, John Price.
You can’t afford to let feelings - old and new - get in the way of your purpose. No matter how much you’ve missed, wished for, loved him, and no matter how much he might feel the same.
Chapter 7 // Masterlist // AO3 Version // Chapter 9
No doubt that Čiernik’s (insanely wrong) impression of Shepherd attempting to double-cross him had been corrected, but you had no idea whether or not Shepherd would continue this alliance after Čiernik lost all three of his hostages. The idea of making a deal with Čiernik to secure some intel on Shepherd crossed your mind briefly. But the Odristan Special Forces nullified that possibility before it even hit the table, and you weren’t about to disregard the impact this man had on your allies, especially when you’d been absent from your post for two days in Čiernik’s pocket.
You had the suspicion – and by that, it meant you were likely correct in thinking – that Fernandez just wanted this embarrassing matter put to sleep and so he was agreeing to the OSF’s requests faster than usual. This wasn’t his first colleague gone AWOL in the name of national security, but that only made it worse. He wanted to get his own tent in order before he could even attempt to send you after anyone outside the tent pissing in next.
Your first day back was spent without a break once you’d rested your eyes for the first few minutes. Too busy was your mind thinking about your initial task: collecting the list of those who hadn’t made it out of Shepherd’s villa, whose families you would visit if you made it out of this, funerals you’d attend, names you’d remember until your dying breath. Just as important was checking in on those alive. You’d charged Soap and Gaz with their cleaning house expertise to prepare for your plan whilst ensuring that both were ready. Additionally, Captain Minkowski of the OSF was more than happy to assist the final push on someone who had been a pain in his backside for the last couple of years.
Price introduced you to the new arrivals in Bravo team, just as you did with the rest of Sierra. The both of you looked beat to hell, stitched up and aching amidst a sea of soldiers ready for a fight. The recruit in you liked to think it earned you some credit amongst them. As if your role didn’t already do that.
It was just you and Crash left from the original outset, with Bronze hospitalised - against his wishes which he made known the second he came to in his cot – and Chance forced to maintain stiff posture at all costs until her stitches had healed. Again, the recruit in you almost yearned for the bedrest your subordinates were forced to follow. That recruit, so fresh-faced and naïve, you wished they’d remained in your history. Not poking up and prodding in present day matters, staring at the vulnerabilities in your comrades uniforms: slivers of skin at the end of jacket sleeves, bare faces barely obscured by the rim of your helmets, tactile trousers that wouldn’t stand a chance against any weapon. Most of all, your former self wished that every decision was the right one. Nothing was ever black and white, but questioning consistently only drove you closer towards insanity because the questioning didn’t know where to end, skipping through the last weeks, sowing doubts and veering dangerously near to where you’d tucked away your past with Price. You wanted to shun your old self back into a cupboard and lock them away until you weren’t sober - or with a medical professional who wouldn’t section you for getting het up over an old flame that never lit.
Since Crash was still en route from the doghouse, you tasked her with organising the blockades around Nemšiná. You didn’t feel nauseous with misplaced guilt anymore; you were on some serious painkillers.
The rest of your new to-do list was carried out by all forces combined: roads rammed to block any escape, barrages ready to crank up the pressure on your enemy, a circumference of sniper nests covering from afar in case any made it out Nemšiná’s limits, and the battering rams of your teams ready to arrest and recover.
Your replacement watch from your pack rested on your wrist, hands tucked under your vest where they warmed in preparation for accurate and immediate instincts to flow. You counted down in your head as Crash parked the vehicle at the edge of the town, before you called for your team’s attention on the radio.
“We’re go for Nemšiná. We have execute authority for Čiernik, but watch yourself for any civilians still held here.”
An echo of “Copy that, Sierra-7” bounced through your earpiece.
Latching eye contact onto your Sergeant, you said under your breath, “Let’s clear this up.”
Three of your fingers counted down the swing of Soap’s sledgehammer, precisely knocking it in.
First house revealed supposed civilians: a family of four eating dinner when you bust down the door and held them at gunpoint, your team clearing the house. But then Soap found guns taped beneath the table and boxes of bullets hidden in a China cabinet. In a split second, you had to decipher whether the parents were forced to hide those weapons or willingly did so, before one of the OSF escorted the kids to the nearest transportation for the safe-zone and two more took the parents for further questioning.
Mentally, you checked the address off now that your team had cleared the house and moved to the next. Concentric circles weaved their way into the heart of Nemšiná, where you and Price had been captured, the OSF and SAS moving like spiders fighting for the fly at the centre of the web. Your next several breaches continued to house civilians, who were whisked away if incriminating evidence was found or left behind without any promise of fixing their doors. Footing the bill was on no soldier’s mind. Maybe Shepherd could sign a few checks as part of his court-ordered penance if that pipe dream ever became a reality.
The surprise of the breaches kept your cover, allowing you to funnel civilians to safety or have your demand for surrender sated instantly by any reinforcements that were enjoying a tea break.
About two thirds into your route to the centre, you got the information that an armed squad of twenty had been caught by OSF. Still no sign of Čiernik, but his power was weakening by the second. You could feel it in the air, a surge of your own abilities overtaking that of the locale as you leapt over the fence into the mansion’s compound with only one adversary heading your way.
You aimed fast. But they dropped to the ground with a bullet from Price, straight through the temples. The soldier dropped to the floor, following the bullet’s trajectory to the left, and Price advanced on him from the other side of the compound to fire another two bullets into its nose, destroying the soldier’s chances of being recognised.
“I think you got him,” You said sarcastically. Your stomach still twisted with the half desire to kick Price – especially when he let out a dismissive sigh and a shrug in response. Signalled for the rest of your crew to follow, “Sierra-7 to Sierra-Bravo team. Begin planting the seeds.”
Reaching up for your gas mask, you were suddenly slammed back against a giant plant pot hosting another palm tree incompatible with the climate. In a fit of rage, Čiernik rabidly raised a knife to bury in your throat. It was just so handy that you were able to get a punch in first that sent him flying back.
“He’s mi-” Price halted as you shot Čiernik through the skull, putting him down like a dog, in his own back garden.
Price altered the end of his sentence, “Never mind.”
Sending Price and his team back to the rear end of the house, you spared one more glance down at Čiernik, his brains decorating the jade grass like pieces of pomegranate. Ultimately, this felt underwhelming after what he did. Things always were in war. Just as underwhelming as facing General Shepherd in the inevitable hearings that your black box’s evidence would extend.
A brief sigh of resignation was the only other thing you gave Čiernik before pulling on your gas mask and instructing your team to mimic you.
The breach of the mansion was loud and fast, no time for the sympathisers to respond to the tear gas cannisters that smashed through windows and fogged up each room that had barely recovered from the last invasion.
Captured, knocked out, slaughtered: these were the only results you allowed the remaining sympathisers to achieve as you swept through the floors. Your breath hollowed in your mask, dangling itself in front of the soldiers who choked on their tongues before you, needing only a light kick to submit to your authority.
A strong gust of Nemšinian wind gave you a firm pat between the shoulder blades as you stared down at Čiernik far below in the grass. His motionless body was currently feeding the ground with the life essence he no longer needed. Sweat pooling along the edges of your helmet, you resisted the urge to wiped beneath them and the coarse strap that held your chin hostage.
“Why was it easy?” You whispered to yourself.
You didn’t expect an answer but, from over your shoulder, Gaz snorted, “You call that easy, Cap?”
“It was,” You insisted, then you caught yourself. You were not about to continue a conversation with a Sergeant that wasn’t yours, solidifying the doubts you were letting out too soon. “Suppose he became disposable to Shepherd. We cleared up a loose end for him.
Gaz nodded assuredly, either taking your bait or playing along, “This’ll make Shepherd slip up. This whole place, it’ll be a blow to his arsenal, and now we’ve got an actual paper trail against him.”
The cynical and realistic sides to you paired up and refused to hold out much hope of General Shepherd being held to account for his actions. It would be stupid of you to think that this was the end. Another ego-driven dickhead would leap at the power vacuum opportunity. You were certain Gaz knew this too. However, Gaz’s wit and confidence was contagious and you appreciated again why Price spoke so highly of him – maybe even understand why Crash was so eager to risk her job for him.
Which is exactly who Gaz made a beeline for when you returned to the OSF base half an hour later.
Tactfully ignoring the restrained reunion, you headed towards the designated tent and tackled your gas mask back to your pack. Ghost approached the table from the opposite angle, just behind Price.
“You broken?” You asked them both.
“Fine,” both replied.
However, you rolled your eyes at Ghost, “Go to the medic.”
“Hmm?” Price frowned at you then at Ghost before he saw his Lieutenant shift on the spot, an almost invisible limp from his right calf, blood blending in with the dark wash of his trousers. Price folded his arms and said disapprovingly, “Simon.”
“I’m fine,” Ghost repeated.
“Go to the medic,” You repeated in a quietly firm voice.
Ghost let out a sigh that seemed to originate from deep within his bones, muffled by his mask. Your eyebrows shooting up held him accountable and he finally replied.
“Yes, Captain.” Then he sloped off with his gun held like a bag for life after a weekly shop.
Price itched his beard and look over at you, saying nothing, like he was waiting on you for an order or something. Whatever it was he was hanging around for could wait and that vicious side of you wanted to make him wait – a hint of the limbo you’d experienced.
“Can you go sort out your team for exfil please?” You said, enough firmness to indicate you wanted to be alone for a moment.
Nodding, Price parroted Ghost’s reply, “Yes, Captain.”
He went away, sauntering backwards for a while, though he didn’t smile at you. His face was as blank as yours, as a canvas. Eyes were on you at all times and yours on him, until he finally turned around and his hands released his vest, swinging in a march beside his hips. That exchange would be enough to spark theories if this entire mission hadn’t already caused your own team to ask veiled personal questions from the offset. Their discretion over the past few weeks had been greatly appreciated but you knew that, without a mission on the docket, they’d occupy their minds with prying visions of curiosity.
The official handover to the Odristan Special Forces went smoothly, their shouldering of most responsibility accepted with a firm handshake. Following up with General Fernandez took a lot longer. Eventually, your patience thinner than a sheet of paper in your dossier, you spoke through ungritted teeth, “Sir, all due respect, this can wait for when my team to be back on home turf and rested.”
General Fernandez allowed a restrained eyebrow raise at your irritation that could barely be considered below surface level. Yet he also allowed it to slide and Laswell supported your statement.
Chance with fresh bandages over her midsection was who you spotted first, through the wavering entrance flap in the tent your team had settled within. Beside her, coming into view as you drew closer, was Crash, unscathed besides a bit of dirt in her eye that she was still complaining about and in similar spirits to Soap - despite a bullet through the shoulder.
“The same bloody one as last time!” He bellowed, his fresh black eye squinting with his grin. How he’d gotten a black eye in a gunfight, you didn’t ask. You just asked if he was ok and put faith in his affirmative answer. Gaz teased him for it, having made it out with not a scratch on him and receiving a gentle headlock (in the crook of the uninjured arm) from his brother in arms as a reward.
Price was staring back at you again. In the shadow of the flap of the tent, you could make out a smaller version of his usual smile softening the cutting edge of his facial hair. You looked over your shoulder, back at the heli unsealing itself, ready to cart your teams back to British soil.
“How long ‘til our exfil?” Gaz adjusted his cap, the Union flag still standing proud at the centre.
You resisted the urge to make the meaningless gesture of checking your watch and chose instead to sit down on a free bench. “Another twenty minutes.”
“Plus debrief for a couple hours,” mused Gaz, “Justifying every bullet shot and every step taken on foreign soil.”
“Naturally. Though it’ll probably be more like five hours since there’s twice as many of us than usual.” You smoothed a wet wipe across your face, enjoying how the air displaced through the tent flap cooled your cheeks.
Opening up one of his palms, Price said, “Mind if I steal a few?”
“Respectfully, rot.” Then you tossed the packet at Price, hitting him on the bicep yet he still managed to catch it with the other hand.
Your memory of Price told you he’d have some kind of retort for your cheek. As if he’d let you get away with that comment coupled with the possibility of being heard by your subordinates.
However, he simply looked at you and broadened his smile into one that sent you almost two decades back. The turn of the new year in a pub garden in Herefordshire, your first year in the army complete, and you’d lost your voice bellowing the final ten seconds of the year and spun around as confetti snowed over everyone outside. John had both hands on your face, yours on his, and you both screamed as you jumped hysterically to the sounds of the year 2004 arriving.
“Fucking hell,” you muttered into the wet wipe, smothering it so you weren’t heard.
You dared not to show how your limbs felt like lava sluggishly slipping down a slope when the time came to haul ass to the tarmac. Lowering yourself into your seat and buckling in swiftly gave you a few extra seconds to bid farewell to Odristan. Maybe you’d return, but hopefully not in relation to this closing chapter of your life. No, for now, your job here was done. You could return home with your shoulders weighed down by your renewed grief, taking names and tags so that you could repeat them in your thanks, your eulogies. For a few moments, you could breathe before resuming the rest of the work you would continue across the rest of the planet, in hopes that you would never have to come here again.
“Reckon we’ve done enough to earn a medal this time?” Soap asked via comms. “Pat on the back maybe,” Crash suggested from her seat opposite him. The chuckles she inspired made you glad you didn’t switch your headset off.
-------------------------
AN: Thank you for those who are still reading this fic. I got caught up in my course so I couldn't finish it. But now it's the Christmas holidays so I can focus on finishing this! I wanna write more for Price, so maybe I'll do a remastered version of this fic when it's done. Or if you have any ideas, hit me up with your thoughts!
Also, I've seen the MW3 campaign and I am Electing to Ignore it.

Can I have a Hazel x Fem!reader who likes to break all her stuff? Like she makes them stuff to smash so she doesn't break anything actually important
CONGRATULATIONS

you're probably the first person on the internet to request OSFE x reader content! You also have nice taste. Here's your reward, little man!
HAZEL: f!reader likes to break shit
- you'd think a maker and breaker would be an awful match, it'd give any engineer a heart attack knowing you're in the area. Fortunately, hazel just isn't any turret engineer!
-Hazel also shares your love of needless destruction! I mean, one of her setups is literally all about destroying her own stuff.
-Building turrets, walls, and summoning in those weird floating crystals just to smash them becomes something of a stress reliever for the two of you. It's just plain ol' fun in both of your eyes! However it's quite a terrifying site from an outsider's perspective.
-Fixing them back up can be fun too, it gives the two of you something to work on together. Being a turret engineer for so long it's like second nature to her and she's more than eager to teach you all she knows. Of course it becomes a little hard to take in everything she's saying when she's so close to you, has her hands guiding yours over what need to be screwed in, leaning in to get that part to click in juuuust right, and... well let's just say productivity isn't as high when it's just the two of you.
-Sometimes she doesn't have build something just for you to break it, there's an odd amount of guns pointed at injured medics in the world. Like a weird amount of them. There's also those giant vats with monsters inside of them. I mean sure the consequences are dire afterwards but hey, they're filled with nickelodeon green slime! You can't just NOT crack them open!! Hazel isn't as thrilled with those..
-It may seem a little odd to everyone else but smashing stuff has become a love language in its own for the two of you! ...just don't let selicy or gunner catch on, they seem like the breaky-smashy type too...
(God bless you autumn, this may have been short but it was fun to write! The four requests I've got left aren't as fun to me but I'll get them down... eventually.)
#osfe x reader#one step from eden x reader#hazel x reader#OSFE_POST#this one actually got me thinking on how i perceive these little fellas#cant wait if i get anymore of them#or at least something that isnt tf2 or elden ring

I just got into Scarlett Nexus and man if only there were more posts about this. Could you do a Tsugumi Nazar x GN Reader? Like the reader tells their feelings using the language of flowers.
Bro I wish there were other blogs like this so that way you folk wouldn't have to rely on my slow ass for content
but I digress: Thanks for the ask anon, hope ya enjoy!
S/O confessing to Tsugumi with flowers
- S/O has always known about Tsugumi's love for plants, in fact it's how they got to know her.
- They first met at the OSF Headquarters when S/O tended to the plants while she was off on a mission.
- When Tsugumi got back, she saw S/O taking care of one of the plants completely wrong.
- She was annoyed, but didn't hold it against them since they were trying, and no one else at base seemed to take care of them beside her.
- Since then, they bonded over the plants (and Kagero's occasional butting in between them.)
- And during their time together, S/O began to develop feelings for her.
- Not content to tell her the old fashioned way, and it would also give her a heart attack thanks to her anxiety, S/O would use the very thing they've bonded over as a confession.
- During which, S/O had to turn to Kagero for help in getting these flowers.
===
- Kagero received a brain message when he was lounging at Seto Platoon's hideout.
S/O: Hey, Kagero. You got a sec?
Kagero: Sure, what can ol' Kagero do for ya?
S/O: Is Tsugumi available right now?
- Kagero looked up and saw Tsugumi on her laptop next to him.
Kagero: Yup, she is. Finally gonna take her on a romantic date like I've been telling ya for months now?
S/O: Yes, actually.
Kagero: WOAH! Really?! Hah, I was just joking, but look at you, lucky man! I'll go tell her right now!
S/O: No, NO! Please don't do that!
Kagero: Haha, don't worry your little head now, I wouldn't ruin that for ya.
Kagero: I'll let her know you want to meet with her. Where exactly are you having this little confession anyway?
S/O: I...honestly haven't thought about it. I was thinking somewhere with flowers, but that's all outside of the city. That's pretty dangerous.
Kagero: Then let Kagero be your wingman! I'll make sure it goes off without a hitch!
S/O: Are you sure? I don't want you to get hurt.
Kagero: I'm more worried about Tsugumi here, how is she gonna feel when you take her to go see Musubi with all those people instead of just you two enjoying the moment?
S/O: But won't you be there too?
Kagero: Invsibility, dear S/O! Now go to these coordinates, and don't be late, I'm telling her right now.
S/O: Oh boy...
===
- Tsugumi and S/O arrive to the coordinates in time, safe and sound.
(Tsugumi) "Oh, hi S/O."
(S/O) "Hey, Tsugumi!"
- S/O had flowers hidden behind their back, ready to surprise her.
- Well, at least that was the plan.
(Tsugumi) "Are those flowers?"
(S/O) "...Oh right, your clairvoyance."
- S/O laughed at themselves more than anything, knowing they couldn't hide anything from her.
(Tsugumi) "S-Sorry. Was that supposed to be a surprise?"
(S/O) "Yeah, but don't worry about it. Here, these are for you?"
(Tsugumi) "Huh?"
- S/O put the bouquet of flowers in her hands gently.

(Tsugumi) "Oh, these are...!-"
(S/O) "Chrysanthemum."
*(A white chrysanthemum is a symbol of loyalty and devoted love. In general, chrysanthemums are believed to represent happiness, love, longevity and joy.)
- S/O smiled as Tsugumi mentally searched the meaning behind the flowers. Upon remembering what white Chrysanthemum flowers meant, her eye widened.
(Tsugumi) "W-Wait...does this mean?"
(S/O) "It does, Tsugumi."
- She stood silently for a moment, looking at the flowers.
- Tsugumi was shocked, but at the same time very happy. Flowers in general were extremely difficult to find in the world they found themselves in, so the fact S/O went out of their way to get them a bouquet...
- She began smiling and blinked away a tear she felt coming.
- Tsugumi walked forward and put the bouquet in S/O's hands as well, both of them holding the flowers together.
(Tsugumi) "Thank you, S/O..."
- She picked one of the flowers and gave it to S/O.
(Tsugumi) "I feel the same."
- They both were silent as they smiled, looking into each other's eyes.
===
Kagero: I'm so happy I could cry! Congratulations you two!
Tsugumi: What? Wait, are you watching us right now?
S/O: I thought you were watching out for Others!
Kagero: I am. I'm also watching you guys. It's so sweet, you two not needing any words to show your true love!
Tsugumi: ...
===
- Tsugumi's eye immediately glowed red as she pulled out her revolver and aimed it behind S/O.
(S/O) "HUH?!"
(Tsugumi) "I'm killing him."
(Kagero's voice) "Uh-oh."

hi yes hello!! I’ve bee playing scarlet nexus and I was wondering if you could writer a yuito x reader where the reader is soft spoken?
while i am a kagero gal myself, yuito is a sweetie and i wish him the best
note(s)/warning(s): none really, nothing too bad or spoiler-y for the game's events just some funny fluff (or at least i try to make it funny). I'm also making these hcs (I'm loving the requests I get but yall for my sanity, pls specify if you want hcs or like an actual ficlet/scenario pls and ty ily mwah mwah)
nav

Yuito doesn't mind that you're soft spoken in the slightest. Given the fact that the OSF is composed of many colorful and unique, for a lack of a better word, personalities, the fact that you're one of the calm and chill people he can talk to is refreshing after a long day.
That doesn't change once your relationship with him elevates either. In fact, after he's even more prone to seeking you out to spend some quiet time together. Although a major difference is that he’s less hesitant to get closer to you. (and definitely less likely to start turning red in the face and getting all flustered when someone points it out).
But just because you're soft spoken, it does not mean that you rely on him to speak up for you. In fact, it's the opposite. ("Excuse me, He asked for no pickles." Kind of vibes). And you can always catch him off guard with just being perfectly blunt as you tell him that he most definitely needs to hear in your soft tones while also making him unsure if he got insulted or not at the same time.
It’s okay, he’s got the spirit.
Now for the literal soft “spookiness”, given the fact that your voice is so quiet, it’s a given that you yourself are so quiet. footsteps are soft and careful, he really has to try to listen if he’s looking for you with how easily light on your feet you are. You could be hiding across the room and he wouldn’t know with how quickly and quietly you move around and about. He’s running around and w/e but it’s funny so it’s okay he’s a runner he’s a track star
It’s fun to scare him sometimes, or just announcing you’ll hop in his arms, even more so when he’s holding something with how quick he is to throw it to the nearest person to hopefully catch. (Because as much as he says that he’s holding something, he will catch you in his arms regardless- the sap.) Although you may have to deal with a pouting Yuito if you do that one too many times (He does not pout, he insists).
He does. He does pout. point and laugh yall.

10Q x a billion
Tagged by: @owlsofstarlight
Put under the cut for the sake of not being long.
1. What’s one genre you really love the idea of, but are disappointed when you go to read/watch it?
Romance, because so many harem shows and so on just make it way too dramatic and painful to get through. Aside from Cardcaptor Sakura and stories like @langwrites‘ Catch Your Breath, which did amazing Slow Burn, I rarely go into Romance genre stuff.
2. Feelings about fire in general? (where my fellow pyros?)
Neutral. As long as it can help keep the house warm and cook food, I’m good.
3. Which of your OCs is the kinkiest?
In terms of hints/innuendos? Hikari, since she does tease Judai on occasion when they’re alone. Of course, this happens when Tomoko is not around. Hisako does troll Tomoko a little bit herself, but not in that category since sex-related stuff is very iffy for Tomo in general.
4. What is the one thing you most want a fan to say someday?
“Could I draw fanart for you?” or “I was hoping if I could write a fanfic of your fanfic?”
I’d be squealing all day if that happened.
5. Which OC do you think readers will like the most?
From personal opinion? Tomoko, Hisako, and Hikari, since those three ladies stand out so much in CP and in S&S. From what I’ve seen of FFN reviews though, Hikari’s the Ensemble Darkhorse, and that’s awesome.
6. Were your OCs born naturally, with pharmaceutical assistance, or via c section?
Aside from Hisako, because Nobody status for Tomoko, all my OCs were born naturally. I honestly think Judai was the only one that came from c-section, because his mother (and in turn, Tomoko’s paternal grandmother) suffered from some health problems. I can’t expand on it aside from that because I haven’t exactly thought about Judai’s parents. For as long as Judai himself knew, he was an orphan.
7. What is the single emotion that is the absolute hardest for you to write? (loneliness, loss, hopelessness, joy, etc)
Seething anger to the point of extreme action. I can get close with my empathy and sympathy to many different emotions, but anger in that level (where a character might even kill or something) is something I can’t imagine. Nor the simple mess that is Orochimaru’s craftiness, because all he is in my head is a pedophile snake that deserves to die.
8. If your OC were a cookie, what sort of cookie would they be?
Tomoko would be a sweet red velvet cookie. Hikari would be macademia nuts, Judai a chocolate chip protein cookie (because ninja status), and Hisako would be peanuts and M&Ms.
Tomoya, on the other hand, I see being birthday cake, because she’s still figuring out who she is past her assigned male gender.
The Hitoshi family would all be oatmeal cookies that got badly burnt in the oven. :d
9. How important do you think it is to describe a character’s appearance?
Pretty important, but not so much to where you dedicate entire pages to them. The reader should get an idea of how they look, but also leave some room for interpretation/fanart opportunities. Hence why when I do describe appearances in writing, they’re simple and sweet so that art has a leeway to come in.
10. And, spitballing off that, which OC do you think is the prettiest?
Right now? Hikari, since she can rock almost any outfit. Also helped by how she makes her own clothes. Tomoko is still growing, but she’ll get there.
11. Your absolute most evil OC is startled by a toaster popping. What happens next?
Mamoru (the original Drunk Guy) would kinda smash it with an alcohol bottle. Only for Natsumi to go on and yell at him because that was still a perfectly okay toaster. Satoru would be rolling his eyes and heading out the window to avoid another argument on his parents’ parts.
12. One of your OCs is in a Disney animated movie. What’s the “big” song of that movie? (Pocahontas’ was “Colors of the wind,” Aladdin was “A Whole New World,” Hercules was “Zero to Hero” etc.)
If it was Tomoko, the song would be Let’s Just Live from RWBY Volume 4. Simple as that.
For Hisako, it’ll be Neon, also from RWBY, this time being Volume 3.
For Hikari, it would probably be Taylor Davis’s violin cover of My Heart Will Go On from Titanic.
Judai naturally gets Teardrop by BOWL.
Tomoya would probably get something like Mirror Mirror, Part 2 from RWBY Volume 3.
13. Do you think having to write while stuck out in the wilderness by yourself (in a heated cabin, food and water but no wifi, tv, or phone service) would help or hurt?
I think it would help for a while, since I get peace and quiet, not to mention my laptop already having offline editing accessible. But after a few weeks, I would just get worried about how to get back to my family, since I’m still living with them and I love them very much.
Leo and Josh would probably be the first ones to blow a gasket out of worry about me, aside from my Mom and Dad.
14. You have written or thought about writing dirty fanfiction. What is it?
…Really? You’re asking this? From the sex-repulsed, demiromantic?
Well, I thought of fanfics where an adult Tomoko and Kakashi went and did it, but got too much second-hand embarrassment to even think of writing. I’m not even going to bring Kei into this, because Lang kinda had to witness my reaction to the revelation of Kei and Kakashi’s relationship going sexual by OSF firsthand last year, and it’s sorta painful to look back on because getting triggered sucks.
15. Someone offers you thirty million dollars to ghostwrite a book about how Hell is real and all dogs go there, good or bad. Do you do it?
Nope. My uncle has a sweet Corgi dog by the name of Yuko, and I do not want to think about a story where all dogs go to Hell. Yuko deserves better, and I can get the money elsewhere. If anything, I’d just point at that person with a blank face, say, “You’re just a scam,” and walk off.
16. You will automatically get a million dollar contract for anything you write, but it has to be at least five thousand words long AND you can only use as many letters of the alphabet as complete pullups you can do. How does that work out?
I’d have to exercise more, because I do more push-ups and rollerblading than pull-ups. So no. I’d prefer writing for fun, not for the money.
17. Your dog turns into a person and writes a book about your lives together, and it gets turned into a movie. During the premiere of the movie, your dog turns to you and tells you that Hell is a place of our own making. What kind of popcorn do you order?
I would order a medium popcorn with extra butter. And I don’t think I should worry about the dog part since I actually don’t have a dog. The only dog I interact with is the aforementioned Yuko, and she’s too sweet to say something like that.
18. What’s a genre of fiction you don’t think you’d ever get the hang of writing?
Smut, because sex-repulsed demiromantic here. And any despair-inflicting stuff since I know fluff runs in my veins so much better, hence why I’m still surprised about the Danganronpa crossover that’s been going in my head. Hell, the things my head has come up with for S&S Tomoko past the Memory Arc have been less than cheery, and I have to thank Lang and by extension, Os and Abalisk for getting me out of that mindset many times, because the things she has coming up hurt.
19. How similar is your story world to the Earth we live on?
Aside from the ninja and feudal Japan-like aspects, pretty similar. The only thing Tomoko misses is freedom of speech and democracy, because despite America’s flaws, it did allow Vy’s parents to immigrate and find better lives to meet each other.
20. What inspired any of your WIPs?
Catch Your Breath. I’ve said it enough already, and owe Lang many things.
21. What song best explains the squad in your WIP?
Let’s Just Live from RWBY. Because it’s the main theme for CP in my opinion, and going onto S&S, the message of moving forward is something I think everyone in the squad tries to aspire towards.
22. Do you use Pinterest for your characters/stories?
I have a Pinterest account, but I don’t use it. It’s kinda clunky, and Tumblr and FFN has been shown to be better in my opinion.
23. Do you have an Asshole character?
The entire Hitoshi Family. Even if Satoru hasn’t shown up in S&S (because all the flack surrounding him in his initial arc in CP was bad enough), the family’s bad.
24. What superhero is similar to or is idolized by your OCs?
I feel like Tomoko would idolize Starfire and Wonder Woman, since both had to deal with coming to new worlds and adjusting to life with new people. Not sure on the others though. Judai might sympathize with Batman, but aside from that, I’m blanking.
25. Do your protagonist and antagonist get along?
Nope. Tomoko would probably want to yell her head off at Madara for being so stupid in her opinion, and grab her Wayfinder to slash Black Zetsu with. Hisako agrees with the Zetsu sentiment, but would probably want to kill Madara more than yell at him.
Danzo on the other hand, is someone Tomoko and Hisako haven’t exactly encountered. Judai, though, would want that bastard as far away from his family as possible, since Danzo has offered Judai a place in ROOT back before he met Hikari. It was not pretty, to put it lightly.
26. How many of your current WIPs do you plan to publish, if you are publishing?
I’ve published most if not all of my WIPs on FFN. I don’t know about cross-posting on AO3, since it’s a pain in the butt, but yeah. The Danganronpa thing should come out when I get more chapters of S&S done, and when I finish the anime.
27. Is there a song that inspires you to write, or inspired any of your WIPs?
Let’s Just Live comes up yet again in this long post, but I also have to credit many of Kyle Landry’s piano covers of Kingdom Hearts, because his work on the already great soundtrack gave me the idea to make Tomoko into a pianist in the first place.
28. What trends do your OCs use/wear/etc.?
Anime-inspired kimono stuff. And casual, comfy wear that’s simple and pleasing.
29. Do you listen to music or ambiance while you write? Or just silence? If it’s music, what genre?
When I need to write somber moments, I use silence while sitting in a corner of my room. For everything else, I bring up piano music to keep up the theme of CP having piano themes.
30. Are any of your characters sassy?
All of them can be sassy in some ways, but the people that really dominate the “sassy” category have to be Hikari, Tomoya, and Hisako. Those three can really rip into someone if they want to.
31. How did you come up with the idea for your current WIP?
For CP? The simple question of, “What if Kakashi had a best friend from the near beginning?”
For S&S, though? “How would things be better or worse for Kei if she met Tomoko and they worked together?”
32. How long have you been working on your current WIP?
CP: a little over a year.
S&S: nearing a year, since its first anniversary is coming up in 2 months.
33. Are you planning to publish your current WIP?
Uh, they’re already up on FFN if that’s what you mean. Because honestly, I don’t see myself writing past fanfiction.
34. If your MCs were youtubers, what kind would they be? (ex. vlogger, artuber. booktuber, comedy, etc.)
Tomoko would be like Kyle Landry in putting up various piano covers of the songs she finds.
Hisako would be half comedy, half vlogger/booktuber as she comments on the many things she sees in Tomoko’s head and through Tomoko’s eyes. The booktuber part comes from Hisako’s home being Tomoko’s mental library, so she might be reviewing the books/memories that come her way while in front of the camera.
Hikari would probably be another musician, teaming up with Judai on occasion to be like the real life Videri String Quartet, only as a duo because they both handle stringed instruments.
Tomoya would probably put up piano covers like Tomoko, but also film advice videos for those who are trying to transition like she is.
35. What season do you associate with each of your characters, and why?
Hikari is spring, since she brings along the most cheeriness in the house when Tomoko can’t.
Tomoko is autumn, since she picks up the pieces after summer passes.
Tomoya is winter, since she’s still unsure about herself and trying to find her way in the world.
Hisako and Judai both share summer, since they can be pretty hot-headed when it comes to people they care about.
36. Is there one scene that you are particularly excited to write, or had a lot of fun writing?
In terms of scenes I’m excited to write:
CP has me waiting for Kakashi’s ANBU arc to come by, since Tomoko and Kakashi are already in a relationship at this point, and I’ll be able to flesh out both civilian and ninja sides since the two are going to be kinda separated as a result of ANBU forcing Kakashi to get his own apartment in the ninja barracks for security purposes.
For S&S, I’m looking forward to the Commencement and Memory Arcs, since October Tenth and Sorayama were two events that really impacted Kei’s life originally in CYB. Tomoko being there will lead to significantly different emotional aftermaths, so exploring that has me shaking in my shoes (in the good way).
In terms of scenes that I had fun writing…
CP had Kakashi buying his signature outfit for Kannabi in Chapter 42, because Tomoko (the innocent dork) is finally starting to recognize for real that she loves her best friend and honestly doesn’t want him to die while in the field. Also for Hikari being that fashion badass that I wanted her to be.
S&S had Tomoko’s bulging duffle bag of things in Chapter 16, since that was something I had in mind since the beginning of the brainstorming stages for the story, because Kei’s shown that she can be reckless already. Our civilian pianist, on the other hand, takes things to a completely different level, and I’m kinda sad no one commented more on that scene in the reviews anyways.
37. What would the ship name be for your favorite romantic pairing in your WIP?
For CP? KakaTomo, taking the first 2 syllables from Kakashi and Tomoko’s names to get this.
For S&S? It’s a crack and sunk ship at this point, but KeiTomo kinda grew on me since writing S&S. More so since Tomoko has been shown in S&S to be very dedicated to Kei in a way that’s different from her CP counterpart’s love for Kakashi. It would’ve been pretty interesting to explore, but talks with Lang confirmed it wouldn’t exactly work (as KeiRin shippers from CYB can probably attest to), but thoughts of it are cute to think on.
38. Are you a planner, or a pantser, or in the middle?
In the middle. I plan, but also leave enough holes for the characters to fill in with their actions.
39. What’s your favorite detail that you put into your worldbuilding?
All the family relations between the characters and how a simple network of loved ones can easily make so many changes in the Narutoverse. I’m still happy about how everyone on FFN was so receptive to the CP version of Kannabi, because that was planned from the very beginning of the story. To know that all the build-up, family and fluff moments and all, showed the natural progression of how a canon-doomed mission turned into one that was mostly heartwarming and partly bittersweet.
40. How long are your chapters, usually?
From 5k to 10k words on average. The most I’ve done, I think, is 14k words.
41. If you could meet one of your characters, who would it be?
Tomoko, since I’d be able to assure her that everything will be okay and that she doesn’t have to worry too much.
42. If you could meet any fictional character (not yours), who would it be?
Kei, since Kei’s a dork, and I think I’d be able to get her to relax a bit more by introducing all of RWBY to her and updating her on what’s happened since her past self’s death.
43. Which character is the most fun to write?
Hisako, because she’s a nicer version of Monokuma. She can say so many things that Tomoko just doesn’t say, and without any consequences.
44. Which character is the most painful to write?
To be honest, Judai, since I’m still lurking on his Interlude that expands his backstory leading up to Tomoko’s birth, and trying to make all the Yugioh GX elements transition into Naruto-terms hasn’t been easy.
45. What are some of your favorite tropes?
You Are Better Than You Think You Are, You Are Not Alone, Glomp, and True Companions.
46. What genre is your favorite to read? What genre do you usually write?
Hurt/Comfort as well as a good Mystery mixed with Fantasy are my favorites to read. For genres I write, it’s obviously Friendship, Hurt/Comfort, and Fluff.
47. Earbuds or headphones?
If given an absolute choice, earbuds because portability, but both are fine.
48. What made you want to write what it is you’re currently writing?/ What was that first spark of an idea?
As I’ve said many times before, Catch Your Breath from Lang. The next spark was actually Inoue Shiori by Hermionechan90, since her take on civilians and their relationship with ninja got me thinking.
49. What are your project’s main themes or undertones? (Yes, I do really like this question)
“Keep Moving Forward for Yourself and the People that Care for You.”
“Don’t give into your own doubts — use them as a motivation to improve yourself.”
Also, quoting Madoka from the last episode of the TV series:
“If someone tells me it’s wrong to hope, I will tell them that they’re wrong every time.”
50. Which of your characters do you relate to the most, or has the most of ‘you’ worked into them? And what aspect of you is this? (If you’re comfortable with sharing).
Tomoko obviously has the most of “me” worked into her, because of her status as an SI-OC. The biggest aspect though? Her heart, emotions, and desire to help others. That’s something I still share with her greatly, despite maturing, so seeing her grow as been a wonderful thing to witness.
51. What are the main points of inspiration/original concepts or aesthetics behind your main characters?
There’s a reason why I keep turning back to Let’s Just Live, because it shows just how much aesthetic these characters take from the song and in turn RWBY. You shouldn’t give up just yet, even when life is unfair. You have to keep moving forward, because the ones who have passed on and loved you would’ve wanted you to. If you can’t live for yourself, live for the people that are still alive and that still love you. That’s why I believe Chapter 13 of CP and Chapter 9 of S&S are still so powerful, because it’s something that Sakumo and everyone else needed to hear, and why it still stays despite all this conflict.
52. What’s your favorite quote from your project so far?
From Tomoko herself:
“Don’t take the coward’s way out. Face your pain, your mistakes, head on, and recognize what happened. You can’t change the past, but you can change the present. The future. Don’t start to cherish something when it’s long gone. Recognize what you have now, and treasure it with your life. Remember all the positive moments you’ve had, all the people you’ve loved, and just live. Don’t fear loss or pain. Take it in, endure it, and use it to help others. Because in the end, life is a gift, but short, and with the world the way it is, wouldn’t it be better to impart love and care to our loved ones before the inevitable?”
53. What’s your favorite book and why?
Don’t know if I have one aside from manga and fanfiction.
54. Do the books you like/ genre you read influence your writing style at all?
Yep. Cardcaptor Sakura was all about fluff and positive relationships, for one thing. I can’t list more off the top of my head right now, but that’s a big one.
55. Do you have a weird writer thing? Like a habit or obsession or something that’s just generally unusual when it comes to scribbling words?
Sometimes, when I’m really stressed, I just put on my headphones and pull up hairbrushing ASMR videos, because the sound of hairbrushing is surprisingly relaxing and nice when I need to get into the right working-mood.
56. Are you a hand-writer or a screen-typer?
Screen-typer.
57. What’s your favourite character from a text you’ve been forced to study and why?
Surprisingly, even though I haven’t finished the book yet, Werther from Goethe’s The Sorrows of Werther stands out, because he’s the first male protagonist I’ve seen in historical texts that is so emotional and open, and considering how my HUM professor likens his development to that of the Romanticism Movement that I already unconsciously took from, all the right bells were hit.
Tagging: No one. Whoever wants to do this, go ahead! Just pick 10 from the questions up above. :)

Yay! A Scarlet Nexus blog! May I request headcanons of Yuito x reader where Yuito finds out reader has turned into an antihero in the story? What would their dynamic be like?
Thank you for writing for Scarlet Nexus! :)
No problem! Thank you guys for waiting patiently, and sending asks in to begin with!
Hope you enjoy!
Yuito and antihero!S/O
- Yuito is absolutely devastated when he hears S/O has gone rogue from the OSF, and is now being hunted down.
- The first thing he tries to do is brain message S/O.
===
Yuito: S/O! What's happening?!
S/O: Yuito. It's best if we don't talk to each other. I don't want you to get hurt because of me.
Yuito: You're not making any sense! Please, can we talk?!
S/O: No, we can't. At least, not for now. Despite everything happening, I still love you, Yuito.
Yuito: S/O! Don't go!
...
===
(Hanabi) "Did S/O say anything?"
(Yuito) "They stopped responding to me..."
- Yuito slumps down on a couch and puts his hands to his head.
- Hanabi and the others try their best to comfort him.
(Yuito) S/O...Why are you doing this?
- Something he notes is that they haven't blocked him.
- At least Yuito would still have some way to communicate with them.
- Alongside his duty as a member of the OSF, he tries to find S/O with the help of his squadmates.
- When Yuito does manage to find S/O, he calls out their name frantically.
(Yuito) "S/O, WAIT!"
- S/O stops in their tracks and pulls out their weapon.
- Yuito steps forward without hesitation, though his squadmates don't do the same.
(Yuito) "S/O, please just stop! Come with us, we can talk things out."
(S/O) "Yuito..."
- He gets close enough to hold their hand.
- Yuito is on the verge of getting on his knees and begging.
(Yuito) "Let me help you...Please."
- S/O closes their eyes and sighs, letting go of his hand, kissing Yuito on the cheek and pulling away with a longing in their eyes.
- Their hand caresses his face and they give him a sad smile.
(S/O) "...If you've found me, then that means the others aren't too far off."
- S/O quickly leaps back and draws their weapon, though its clear they don't want to use it.
(S/O) "Just walk away, Yuito."
- Yuito and the rest of his squad pull out their weapons as well.
(Yuito) "I can't leave you, S/O!"
(S/O) "...So be it."
- S/O and Yuito still love each other, but they begin a game of cat and mouse, S/O adding Yuito to the list of people they have to escape.
- Every single time Yuito catches up to them, they try to disarm and nonlethally stop S/O.
- S/O does everything they can to not hurt him or his friends, but they can't let him get involved for his own safety.
- One day, they both hope to sit down and embrace each other again, but the situation at hand prevents them from doing so.
- And they have to meet on the field as enemies.

I’ve been checking every once in awhile to see if anyone uploaded Scarlet Nexus. Could you please do a Tsugumi Nazar x Reader head canons?
for a second i was confused about what kind of hcs you were asking for, but then i saw your dm so nvm we’re good!! i’m going to go with the latter option bc why not fluff is nice.
nav.
and that latter option was “a bonding episode-type in the city + ending with something plant related”
whether or not you have a green thumb so to speak. what’s important to tsugumi is that you’re with her because she appreciates the time you both spend together a garden date day, if you will. it starts of with a nice breakfast at a local cafe you both like, then you both wander to different garden supply shops.
from different soils or seeds to even getting new equipment to replace the older ones (although tsugumi insists that she’ll pay, but it becomes a mini race, to see who can get their form of payment out fastest, tsugumi wins some, you win some, and the poor cashier does not know who’s credit card to take).
but either way, tsugumi can’t help but look forward to these days whenever you both seem busy with osf work. especially because tsugumi doesn’t really speak well with others due in part to her shy nature, but with you she is put at ease with the fact that she doesn’t have to force herself to really talk or communicate verbally. (that and once you do get to know her better, you learn about her competitive streak and her brutal honesty that has gotten a good laugh from you).
it can be just the two of you and your plants, occasionally she’ll talk to her plants too, as you learn that’s good for them (fun fact if you didn’t know they do grow more bc of the carbon dioxide people exhale when speaking). but anyway, from buying no gardening supplies to just generally hanging out around the city.
and she wants to keeps things fair when it comes to these dates too, if you have a store or general hobby you like to do in your free time, then she will insist to go to these places so that you can enjoy yourself too. it’s only fair after all, she says. and you know it’s rare to be assertive if it’s not in some form of combat situation, so you acquiesce, and let her have this victory. (it’s worth it seeing her smile happily so it’s fine).
and so that’s how you now find yourselves in the little garden she has set up, sleeves rolled up (if they were long enough) and if your hair was too long, pushed or tied back. you’re helping her place some new soil in each planter, gloved hands pressing the dirt into the pot where new plants would go. without straining yourself, you hear tsugumi hum softly, speaking gently to her plants in between.
while there is mostly silence, it’s a comfortable one, because sometimes that’s all that the two of you need.

Could you do a Scarlet Nexus Arashi x Reader? The reader strangely being the exact opposite of her to the surprise of everyone. Thank you in advance.
i wrote these as hcs bc there wasn’t anything specified in the ask, but anyway, how is 2022 treating everybody?
nav.
now when one pictures arashi in a relationship, they don’t expect her s/o, you, to be the very opposite of her. While’s she’s more go with the flow and maybe a bit lazy, seeing your much more serious and stern expressions in comparison is not only a bit of a shock but surprisingly humorous too. which is refreshing considering the things the osf has to deal with.
the two of you are able to pick up the other’s slack, so to speak, where as you may be a bit more blunt in your manner of speaking, which may have people feeling a bit disgruntled, arashi is there to uplift the mood, cracking a joke or two that ends up with a few laughs (yours possibly included).
but as one of the faces of the osf, there are unfortunate times where she isn’t taken too seriously by people who want to either, watch their heroes fight against others or try and get autographs and despite her ranking, it sometimes takes you standing next to her, arms crossed and glaring down at the stubborn civilians and/or old fashion news reporters.
like her scary dog privilege, except she doesn’t need one bc she is a strong independent woman. but also don’t think she won’t do the same for you, as she will fight on your behalf (an “excuse me they asked for no pickles” type of vibe)
apart from opposite personalities, theres a bit of irony that your powers are seemingly opposite too. while she manipulates the speed of herself and others on the team, you can slow them down, which is quite comical if anyone slacks during training because all of the sudden, they’re moving extremely slow, until you make it go away.
im running low on steam but listen this relationship is cute, not to be all cliche about relationships on main, the whole opposites attract thing is actually cute and i will die on this hill. but also i will put rivals to lovers on the table bc similar enough powers could possibly mean similar popularity. but the rivalry is less on arashi’s end and it’s more of her seeing how much she can fluster you.
