man this morning i was gonna make a comic abt dave & karkat watching jurassic park (and dave being like “hey why is so much prehistoric media about dinosaurs”) and instead of drawing literally anything i just ended up in a rabbit hole abt the paleontological consultation in the original movie. like wdym universal started suing various museums during the movie’s production for using the word “jurassic” in the title. dawg you cant copyright a whole geological era. what.

man my friend asked me recently to explain what moirallegiance was and like. damn fandom really HAS oversimplified the quadrants huh. like i usually see it get explained as “oh it’s like a qpr” and while i agree that that’s the closest human equivalent there’s so much other shit to it that like.. it’s not JUST that. like there’s the societal role it serves and the hate/pity-based nature of troll relationships and i stg i was sitting there sifting through the explanation in canon & the wiki and going “jesus fuck why were these (the quadrants) never expanded on. this is such an interesting system and we barely get to see how many of them would actually function”. although i guess i feel that way about a LOT of the concepts introduced in hs that just. never get elaborated on.

been thinking abt the time aspect & death symbolism a lot lately & am working on a little smth regarding that... hopefully i dont lose motivation b4 i finish this LOL

i am for sure biased but time & its symbology is prob the most interesting 2 me... death & destruction... associations w archeology/paleontology... am a big fan

@ any rate though i’ve been thinking abt my trollsona tafeta.. reminds me i need to post their updated ref @ some point bc i redid the whole thing. goddamn derse prince of time can you imagine (has the exact same lunar sway and classpect)

they’re the sort of person who almost always manages to be late. so fucking bad with appointments. worst adhd timeblindness of literally anyone ever. god forsake the sgrub session that ends up with them as its time player. prince being so combat-oriented though i can only imagine they’d be kind of fucking cracked when it comes to fighting underlings/bosses…

i know there’re a number of ideas ppl’ve had for what powers being a god-tiered prince of time would entail but i’m not sure what angle i wanna take personally.. something kinda king crimson-y would be funny i think (i.e. being able to erase/destroy certain segments of time). straight up speeding up time could be interesting too, since it ties into the idea of decay that time riffs off a lot. speeding up time for themselves, for specific objects, for opponents, etc. would also tie into the prince thing of destroying their aspect, albeit less literally than the king crimson interpretation lol. the more they use this power, the less time they have since it goes by quicker. might go with that tbh.

probably still has some sort of time travel abilities (with some considerable restrictions as opposed to someone like aradia or dave though, i’d think?) maybe they only have to ability to send time clones to doomed timelines or something, and then figuring out where those timelines went “wrong” is the main way they keep track of the alpha timeline?
