So I know that I've been fairly quiet, but I've been even more quiet about this. Late night/super super early July 4-5th I dislocated my right knee again. (Almost to the day as last year! Lol) then I dislocated it yet again July 7th when I first woke up. I'm okay-ish, but I will be getting surgery this time around. It's scheduled for August 21st and the doctor is doing two things. 1. My knee cap it out of place completely. He's going cutting a part of the bone off then putting it back into place. 2. My ligament is OVER stretched, which is one of the reasons why it dislocated again. What is going to happen is that I'm getting a piece of my hamstring cut off and grafted to make a new ligament. Then there's another problem. I also found out my left knee cap is loose. I was told that it puts me at risk (or a sign), of dislocating that one as well in the future so I have to keep an eye out for any instability. All in all, I'm currently out of work until at least late September or sometime in October. Depending on how recovery goes it could be later than that, but I'm staying hopeful it'll be quick. To be honest, that is what I'm praying for. I don't like being at home stuck sitting all day, as much as I love video games and tv right now. I'm too used to constsntly moving! Lol But yeah, I just wanted to give a smallish update. I am doing well and am in minimal pain and what pain I am in is my own fault for being on my feet too much. If I had my paints I would start painting to have some sort of income but, oh well. I think I posted about this on all my other social media but here... But I tested positive for covid again on Friday. I also developed a persistent cough in the last few days that I barely had these last couple weeks. I’m also still having the same digestive issues that I’ve had since day one. ... just had my lay-off notice from the major telecom company I have worked with for last 19 years. My off pay roll date is six month shy of me getting full benefits. Just can’t win for lose. My cancer is undetectable but I get laid off, most likely a combination of age and what insurance paid out. I go for my pre-op and the next day I get my lay-off notice. The most bullshit part of all this is I have to train the replacements that are of course in India. It’s cheaper there. So why care about the American employees. We are less than furniture to the corporate wonks. The company ranked in billions in profits yet cries poverty and calls a surplus of employees. Bullshit. Moving the work to India is not a surplus it’s a ducking way for you to lower costs to make even more money that could not be spent in 10 lifetimes. Billions in profits and they need more. This country is fucked in more ways than one.
