Wakana at "Everyday’s Omatsuri"

I think you're probably aware that the Pretty Store Tokyo was renovated earlier this year. It's the only one I went to, in 2016 and 2018. I want to visit it again as well as the Osaka store, I don't know if Yokohama's is worth it

Oooo, no I didn’t know that! 😮 But I wonder if they actually expanded it? Seems hard to do cuz it has always been in that little corner…and there are so many other character stores down there as well 🤔 Well, maybe if we get the chance, I might drop by to check it out before coming back to the states. My trip has been extended by a few days and we’ll be staying in Tokyo for one night before our flight home, hehe 😁 I personally had more fun at Yokohama but I went on a weekend so there were more customers compared to Osaka’s store, which I went to on a weekday. The mall at Yokohama is bigger and newer too (I think) and people tend to hang out more at the newer places than older ones. Plus, there’s the fact that Yokohama’s store was also on the same floor as a lot of other popular anime/manga shops like Pokemon, Shounen Jump, etc (with Surugaya on the floor below it, iirc). Osaka’s was next to a One Piece store but that was it. If you have more goods shops next to each other, that probably helps cuz then people can do all their shopping in one place instead of hopping from location to location. Of course, you don’t base your trip to Japan all around just a merch store 😅 That’s just one of the pit stops. Yokohama is a very interesting city to explore as well. There’s Minato Mirai 21 where you can find Cosmo World (we rode the Cosmo Clock 21 and that was nice), the Red Brick Warehouses where you can do shopping for handmade goods, plenty of places to eat and so on (I’d say avoid Chinatown tho cuz it’s just another tourist trap :P). For me, it honestly depends on where I’m visiting when I come to Japan (and if there’s a limited event like a pop up store, the timing and location of that as well).

If it’s too far or the schedule is too busy, I won’t go out of my way just for Precure or Pokemon or whatever. But as I tend to come to the big cities more often than smaller ones, I’d try my best to drop by if I have enough time. Cuz that adds a positive experience to the overall trip, y’know? 😊
