Woo! I finally finished my Log Lodge and Cabins plot on Palia. (Complete with a little cabin village, swimming pool, laundry room, and a lodge with a lobby and check-in counter, buffet, arcade, upstairs bar, and more resort-style rooms). Check them out on the tour board under the name Rum and Shattered Drea

(Yes it’s missing the “ms” at the end because it’s funny that it looks extra “you tried” that way XD)

I’m not aiming for anything in particular on reactions/votes, I’m just really happy with how it turned out and wanted to share. Also sorry for the not-great images. I’m playing on Switch because my laptop is too much of a dinosaur to run anything on Steam and it’s hard to get good images off of the Switch version.

My in game wallet is screaming, I need to buy 9 more small harvest houses send help

Somewhat unpopular opinion (I guess), but I love Nai’o and Kenyatta together.

I don’t even care if the relationship started as a way to piss off Eshe. (As long as Nai’o knew what he was signing up for, he’s not a victim)

They’re exactly what the other one needs.

Kenyatta has no idea who she is. She’s never gotten to make a decision for herself because Eshe had her entire life planned out before she was born. The only thing Kenyatta has decided is that she doesn’t want to end up like her parents. So she just does whatever her mom wouldn’t like. She is desperately searching for meaning and purpose outside of the life her parents built for her. Meanwhile, Nai’o cares about her, even when she does things he doesn’t like. They’ve known each other their whole lives. He knows who she is and he just wants to be there to support her unconditionally. And he knows what it feels like to be secure in your decisions and wants her to feel the same. It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t want to follow the same path as him, he just wants her to be happy and find something that feels like home.

Nai’o desperately wants to make the people he cares about happy… often to his own detriment. He will sacrifice himself over and over if it would help his family or friends. His entire life revolves around the farm. Meanwhile, Kenyatta has already accepted that her family will be upset by some of the choices she makes and is trying to embrace that instead of giving into them. She knows that sometimes you need to be a bit selfish for your own sake. She can teach him to do that for himself (and I feel like she’s the type who would kill a bitch for trying to hurt someone she loves). She also has a much more playful approach on life and pushes Nai’o to do things he wouldn’t do otherwise. She expands his world.

I think a lot about their childhood together too. Reth, Tish, Hassian, Jina, and Jel didn’t start their lives in the Valley. So for a long time, Kenyatta and Nai’o would have been the only kids around (assuming Nuroo was much older). They know each other in a way that few people do. They’ve seen each other through so much. I just 🥺
