Silly snowcrow scenario where Sylus is amicably divorced from his wife, but they had two little twins together that they share custody of. He makes sure they have all the care and support they need, and supports his ex as much as he can (financially, housing, food, in any way she needs)

But he's starting to get back into the dating scene. He misses having a partner, and honestly he doesn't have much in the way of a social life. So he starts using one of those dating apps, not really expecting to find anything lasting, but at the very least he can start meeting people

He comes across the profile of a famous cardiac surgeon, much to his surprise. He reads over the description, raising a brow at the very straight forward answers to the set questions. At the very bottom is the note, "My colleagues forced me to make this."

Sylus is intrigued. The doctor is rather hot, and he's not a patient so there's no conflicts there... Why the hell not, he thinks as he swipes right

Zayne checks his phone during his break. He's gotten several messages from the app, mostly people using really really terrible medical pickup lines, or asking legitimate health questions that he dismissively tells them to see their own doctor about. He looks at the list of people who want to match with him with little interest. Some of them are pretty, yes, but he doesn't honestly have the time for a serious relationship and most of them already sent him those crummy messages

But one profile has him stop his swiping. A handsome man with striking features who exudes confidence. Photos of him working on a motorcycle, setting up a phonograph with an old vinyl, hugging a lion (what?). The first line in his bio says he's a single father of twins, with a warning not to waste his time if they don't like the idea of kids. "Looking for a friend or a date"

He looks over the profile again and again, as though it's an important set of research data. On this whole site full of people looking for sex, maybe a friend is a good start. So he swipes right

He gets back to work and fears the message that may greet him when he returns

Fast forward to their third date

The first date was nice, if a bit awkward at first. They spoke for a while through the app beforehand, and decided on a diner near the hospital Zayne likes. He was embarrassed to buy sweets, but Sylus must have noticed him looking at the fresh display because he encouraged him to get whatever he wants. (And more - Sylus bought him extra macarons to take with him)

Their second date already saw leaps and bounds in their comfort with each other

This one promises to be just as nice as the last two, a peaceful walk around the park, until Zayne gets an apology message. "My ex needs me to look after the kids today. I'm sorry to have to cancel"

He isn't sure what possesses him to reply "Would they be able to join us?"

Sylus apologizes again when he goes to pick Zayne up; it's a reflex with his two boys. The second Zayne is in the car, he's being bombarded with questions from the back seat. Zayne can see the tension in Sylus' shoulders, the grip on the wheel, the glancing over, the worry that his boys will scare his new friend/prospective partner away before they even reach the park. With every question Zayne answers, he can see the tension melt away

Aaaaaand idk what else to say to this rn BUT the twins falling asleep on the way to drop Zayne back off at home. Sylus pulls up to the curb and whispers his gratitude for being patient with his sons. Zayne smiles and assures him it was no trouble, he's dealt with plenty young patients in his time as a surgeon

Zayne's about to climb out when a hand holds his. He watches, heat rushing to his ears, as garnet eyes lock on him, as Sylus brings his hand to his mouth and kisses his knuckles. Another thank you, a sultry "I had a nice time today", and a simple question about when next he'd like to go out

had some fun creating more mb sketches, as well as ART this time around! mostly went fairly loose with these. I absolutely adore draping ART's feed presence wherever it pleases.

(Shaded below! I prefer the flat version.)

For ART's design, I was inspired a bit by speech bubble shapes when conveying different emotions, as well as the idea of ART's suffocating presence in the feed when it wants to be menacing (often.) I like to think ART's feed presence has a dark mode for when mb's napping.

Perihelion's made a habit of forging Seth's signature (its all in good fun) (until peri decides otherwise). And yeah... mb may have altered their security badge.

Coworker: You know, you were talking about that book the other day at lunch, and I kinda wanted to read it.

Coworker: The Hobbit.

Me: You’ve never read the Hobbit?!?!? Did you get it??

Coworker: I started last night and I’m already almost to the end…..I’m starting to feel strangely sad thinking about all the time I wasted being “too cool” to read for pleasure when I was younger. I wish I had known about this book when I was a teenager - it would have changed my life, I think. There’s just something about this story that I really love. It’s, like, comforting??

There's a moment he calls the main party, which is also the moment you must name the player (a.k.a. you). He says it's for a school project on player names and later he asks YOU directly for your player name.

000 is a Sinner (human with special powers driven by Mania) who's ability boils down to being able to break the fourth wall. As a gacha game, PtN has events themed around characters to show them off. 000's was about her breaking into reality and murdering the developers of the game. Almost every interaction with her results in her breaking the fourth wall in some way, and she's one of the most powerful characters to boot.

Maddie Hatter

All the Wonderland characters can hear/talk to the narrators, but I think Maddie is the most common example. One time she has to tell them to stop bickering with each other.

Even in late autumn Campsis radicans (trumpet vine, trumpet honeysuckle, Virginian trumpet flower) can provide a display of fall colour and few surprise seedpods. As can be seen from the spread this is a vigorous self-clinging woody climber which has clusters of bright orange or red, trumpet-shaped flowers in summer. It can spread from the roots so watch out for new stems coming up away from the main plant!

For the Neglected Family! Darlings au, originally Daughter and Jason's relationship was that they never met in person until he came back to the manor after his debut as Red Hood. That Wife! Darling did the whole blackmailing thing after Jason's death, which made sense because it caught Bruce in a vulnerable phase of his life that allowed her to catch him by surprise. Originally, Jason had only seen the family from afar when he stalked them for information about the Batfamily, and seeing them being just a normal happy family, with a loving mother, made his chest squeeze. His relationship with N! Daughter was leaning to hostile after he came back because he was low-key jealous of her and the life she got to experience, obviously not knowing better, while also deep down wanting to bond with her.

I intentionally made this because not only it explained how Bruce would be so careless to take off his cowl in a rooftop without checking his surroundings first (the grief affected his perception), but also because in all Neglected! Readers works I've read Jason and her had a great sibling relationship where he was this reliable, beloved older brother of hers, until he died and then distanced from her. Also, he and the Wife darling usually get along too because she adopts him and all. I wanted to change it a bit

But know I've been thinking, because I love drama, how cute of a detail it would be that Jason was still alive as Robin where the family moved in, and despite knowing something was off with the marriage, he couldn't bring himself to dislike the kids. How ironic it would be that while Dick was always everyone's reliable older brother figure, Jason was Daughter's and the only one she considered her big bro? How sweet it would be that Jason, who already felt insecure about keeping up with Dick and proving his worth as Robin, suddenly has people who look up to him and trust him wholeheartedly?

I even imagine a scene between the two of them, shortly before he dies, where he goes "I'm not as good as Dick is" and she replies "You're right. You're better than him" and his heart is about to burst. He also promised her he would always be there for her, no matter that. That whenever she had a problem, let her big bro handle it for her. He would always help her.

And suddenly he's dead. Gone. Her big brother doesn't come back from the mission and no one tells her what happened. Either to spare her the pain or because they can't be bothered to. It's a huge event for her, scarring her emotionally forever and hardening her. But then, when she's finally moving on and accepting his death, turns out he's alive. He's back, but not really. Everyone says he's not the same person, but she's too ecstatic to care about his new appearance. She can only think that her big brother Jason is back, the only brother who cared about her, and sure it might take time to get used to this, but she's willing to go through it. To wait until he's ready. Surely he won't forget his promises, surely he still loves her, surely he won't break her heart like everyone else

But it doesn't happen. He doesn't look at her, outright ignores her and sometimes he almost feels hostile on purpose. He's distant and cold. No matter how hard she tries, she can't reach him. He won't let her reach him. He goes on missions with the family and then disappears, never contacting her, only showing up at the manor to talk with the others.

Now I don't know if keep the original plot, or add this one....again I hate my brain
