"Calling the sinners by their correct name"
☆Prompt: How would the sinners react to you calling them by their correct name.
☆Warnings: Nothing too intense, a hit of pain towards the cinnamon rolls (Hamel, Anne), mentions of Chelsea having lots of sugar babies (including you)
☆Includes: Hamel, Anne, Bai yi, Shalom, Eirene, Chelsea, Cabernet, Oak Casket, Garofano, Sumire.
HAMEL
Hamel is a pure innocent baby; one whom you adore to death. While she's mostly quiet, she's very chatty with you, not the type of chatty to talk your ears out, but Hamel would express how she feels with you.
When you called Hamel by her right name, she was dumbfounded. You usually called her sweetheart, or dove so hearing you call her Hamel made her immediately think she did something wrong.
"I don't like that. Please don't call me Hamel," she pleaded with you, her eyes teary. Guilt immediately took over your body and you had to comfort her and tell her she did nothing wrong.
ANNE
Anne is just like Hamel but she's much more talkative, even in public. Anne is not afraid to let anyone know that you are hers. Your relationship with Anne was quite the sweet one and you would act like a caring wife towards her even though you both only started dating for months.
When you called Anne by her right name, it took her a few minutes to process what just happened. "Did I do something wrong my dear?" She asked in a small voice. You knew to yourself that she was as innocent as an angel so it hit you in the guts when she used such a small voice. Like Hamel, you had to comfort her, the guilt crushing your soul for hurting such a small adorable baby.
BAI YI
Bai yi knew she was a case to deal with and she took it upon herself to annoy you or tease you everyday. She absolutely loves it when you shower her in cute nicknames and affection.
So when you called her by her right name, Bai yi chuckled before saying, "Oh? What's up with you?" She didn't take it to heart when you called her that but if you kept calling her Bai yi, she might just die.
SHALOM
Shalom is the type of lover to give you all sorts of nicknames and for her, just one nickname would do, 'Darling'.
"Shalom." When she heard her right name come out of your mouth, she'd just stare at you until you finally call her darling.
"I was beginning to think you didn't love me anymore," she sighed dramatically.
EIRENE
Eirene is a busy woman, she hardly had time to spend with you due to her work but nevertheless she loves you to the core.
When you called her by her right name, she didn't bother with it; well on the outside atleast. On the inside, she's panicking, asking herself what she did wrong. She checked back on her previous interactions with you, ensuring that she didn't say anything wrong.
When you told her it was a joke, then she'll be the one to call you by your right name until you beg for her to stop. She enjoys seeing you beg. She's not mean tho :/
CHELSEA
Sugar mommy Chelsea is such a kind and caring person to all her sugar babies but you are her favorite.
When you called her Chelsea instead of Sugar mommy, expect to be bombarded in a ton of questions. "Is the food not to your liking?" "Did I do something to upset you?" "Is anyone being mean to you?"
When you didn't give her an answer that satisfied her, she tried her next strategy, gifts. Lots and lots of gifts that made the other sugar babies jealous of you.
How could her attempts not sway you? You had to tell her it was a joke and you felt had that she bought all of those gifts, but she didn't.
CABERNET
Oh boy don't mess around with those woman. Although she loves you, calling her Cabernet is a crime.
Like all the professionals you'd have to call them sir/miss, you HAVE to call Cabernet sweetheart.
"Cabernet." "That's sweetheart to you, little one," she pointed her staff to you in a threatening manner.
From that day onwards, her real name was never used again (by you atleast).
OAK CASKET
This woman is such a calm and composed woman. She gives off a motherly figure vibe so hearing you call her nicknames like 'darling' or 'love' or 'honeybunch' will absolutely make her fall even deeper in love with you.
When she heard you call her by her right name, she'd simply chuckle and say, "what have I done to upset you my dear?"
Things like that wouldn't bother her because she knows what when she's ready for you, you'd be definitely forgetting her name.
GAROFANO
She's just like Oak Casket but a much less more quiet version. Hearing you call her Garofano wouldn't bother her, until she realises you weren't going to stop calling her that.
She loves the nicknames you give her and it makes her feel much more loved for so with a slightly upset expression, she'd ask, "Why are you calling me that?"
When you realised that she didn't like it, you stopped and immediately apologised. She forgave you of course but warned you to never do it again.
SUMIRE
Pretty girl assassin has alot on her plate but always makes time for you. She loves having you rest upon her lap while she talks and rambles about her missions.
She seemed so engrossed in telling you how her mission went, it took her a few minutes to realise that you called her Sumire and not 'baby'.
"But I am your baby. Not Sumire," she'd stare at you, letting out a small sigh before plunging on top of you and prepping your faces with kisses, apologising for making you mad even though she did nothing. You just wanted to see her reaction to it.
A/n: took a few days to write this but I still don't like it 😭

Our Dearest Sin: Chapter 3: Taking Care of Flowers (Crossposted on Ao3)
@lirational It took me quite a while, but I hope you like this.
The flowers were in bloom, the fragrant aroma of poppies and carnations, lavender and roses, and many others filling the cell, or perhaps chambers is a more apt word, of the woman known as the Mentor of the Garden, her eyes closed in tranquility as gentle fingers carded through her ivory locks, a low humming further aiding in lulling her into a state of tranquility.
Her eyes were closed, and her senses enveloped in the gentle warmth of the lap her head resting on, along with the fingers trailing through her silken locks, as her violet gently caressed her scalp, resting her back against the dark wood headboard of her mentor’s bed as she did so, her own eyes heavy lidded in quiet peace.
Further enveloping the Poppy was the warm body of her beloved ‘Moonlight Cinderella’(1) who lay resting beside her, gently rubbing her stomach as nonsensically babbled into her ear as they nuzzled against her, their forehead resting just above her ear as they fought the urge to fall into slumber beside their Mentor.
Her carnation rested at the foot of the bed, gently rubbing her feet, softly caressing her calves and soles as they looked up at her with a heavy lidded gaze of contented peace and a smile of warm adoration, their lilac hair falling loosely around them as they allowed themselves to relax in full with their family.
Of course these were but 3 of the many flowers that were gathered around her, some lounging against her bed and others against other surfaces, some dozing in peace as they held fast to one another while others lay slumbering or dozing in a state of half awake and half asleep tranquility, the smell of flowers and incense joining with the warmth of gathered bodies and the gentle babbling of water from the fountain that rested in the center of the room  further lulling them into a sense of tranquility.
On this day there were no contracts from the Spider and the Hush, there were no quests for revenge or debts to settle, no threats to the one that had offered them shelter and comfort, amidst the storm of malaise and mania that hung over the city as Paradeisos and the Underground waltzed their dance macabre upon the bones of the unknowing and innocent, that needed pruning.
No, on this day there was nothing but each other and the comfort of their family being together, of the younger members huddled together as they listened to the dulcet tones of their elders telling them stories or simply conversing with them as they rested their heads on their laps and shoulders as the older members paired off to cuddle with one another, some exchanging gentle kisses and caresses, and others simply basking in one another's company.
Such was the intensity of the tranquil atmosphere, and so all encompassing its embrace, that none did more than turn a raised brow or inquisitive glance when the doors to the room were opened, an ever welcome and familiar figure entering and, after examining the scene before them for but a moment, moving to approach Coquelic.
Even from her position on her bed, and even with her senses enveloped by her flowers as they were, Coquelic knew who it was that was now winding their way around her room to her, she did not need to see the way Sumire lit up with an all encompassing joy as they approached or how Garofano’s eyes lit up with a possessive love, or how Gekkabajin smirked with a glint of hunger in her eyes, nor did she even need to register the familiar clicking of shoes on stone or the familiar perfume.
Indeed, all she needed was the growing warmth of the Shackles to tell her who it was that had come to stand beside her bed, eyes traveling across the quartet of bodies that lay upon the bed, 3 of them eagerly beckoning for her to join them
Barely had the Mentor of the Garden had time to open her mouth to invite Persephone to lay beside her when she felt her bed dip down, a smile crossing her face as she felt a pair of arms, that were still far too thin for her or any of her Flowers liking, gently wrap around her as another warm form came to rest with her.
Idly Coquelic contemplated turning to face Persephone, to lay her lips against hers and pull her to rest atop her as her flowers gathered around them and joined them, the younger ones being shepherded to soundproofed rooms or turned loose upon the bureau as a whole while their elders indulged themselves in the comfort of their bodies, though ultimately she decided such a thing could wait till later.
For now, she was content just to reach out the arm that was not wrapped around one of her flowers and gently slip it under the chief and embrace her to her side, her fingers gently carding through Persephone’s hair as she felt the Chief nuzzle against her neck, her breath ever so gently caressing her skin as she relaxed.
Silently and in tranquility they lazed there for what could have been hours just as easily as it could have been minutes, time having long lost all meaning to those within the room as they silently enjoyed the moment of bliss they were entrapped within, many seeming fit to fall asleep if they had not already done so, that is until Persephone shifted ever so slightly so that she now was supporting herself with one arm as her other gently caressed Coquelic’s side.
“Oh?” Coquelic raised a brow as she looked at the Chief with a smirk forming on her face, her eyes fluttering shut for just a moment as she felt dexterous fingers caress her ribs for just a moment before they leaned up to lightly brush the side of her breast, moving further up to ghost over her pulse, pausing for but the briefest of moments to feel the beating of her heart before resuming their journey to cup her cheek.
The Mentor’s eyes slowly opened, her gaze locking with Persephone’s own, silently gazing at her for several moments before she began to lean up, allowing for the chief to slip a hand under her upper body as their lips met, their kiss was slow and tender, Coquelic taking care to gently seize the chief’s bottom lips with her teeth and lightly nip as it before she pulled back, a thin strand of saliva connecting them for but the briefest of moment before it fell away.
Already Coquelic could hear her Flowers begin to shift and stir, moving to herd the young pens away even as they giggled at the scene of their mentor begin to flush as desire began to pulse through her body, the other elders on the bed moving to join in as well as Gekkabijin sighed before she rose from the bed, offering a kiss to her Mentor’s cheeks before she moved to help herd the younger ones before she would return to join in what was to come.
The mood in the room began to shift, the Flowers eyes darkening as they began to move to gather around their Mentor, Sumire already leaning down to place her own lips Persephone’s head, taking a deep breath of her scent as she began to reach out to tilt her head up so she could kiss her as well.
At the same time, Garofano, torn between trailing kisses up her Mentor’s legs until she was near enough to her center to savor her scent and taste, or pulling Persephone down and into her arms once Sumire was finished with her so that Sumrie and her Mentor could have some time together, found her gaze flickering between each of the women above her as a pit of hunger and desire began to grow in her stomach.
Though all such movements paused as Persephone leaned down once more to nip at Coquelic’s ear, her tongue lightly caressing it for several moments as her other hand began moving to go under the Poppy of the Garden, Coquelic raising herself up just enough for the hand to slip under her and cup her rear, the Mentor letting out a sigh of pleasure as Persephone leaned in to her ear once more, before she stage whispered to her-
“Sorry about this.” Persephone breathed out, causing all to pause in their actions and look at her in confusion, Coquelic raising a brow and opening her mouth to query just what it was the chief was sorry for, only to be cut off as she continued.
“But I was told flowers need to be watered, and that you needed some exercise.”
“What are you-” But barely had the words left a confused Coquelic’s lips before-
“And I have heard that swimming is a wonderful exercise!”
And with her words said, and a twinkle in her eye, Persephone shifted herself just enough to-
A loud splash echoed in the now dead silent room, the young members that had yet to be shepherded out and the elder members all gaping in silent shock as they saw the Chief flee the room with speed that far exceeded what they thought her weary form could muster, the doors flying open with a resounding *Bang* as they collided with the walls for a moment before closing once more.
Once the echoes of the doors banging open had died down, there came forth an oppressive silence that suffocated all those present to such an extent that none dared to even breathe, indeed they dared not to even move as the sound of water splashing broke the silence.
Coquelic slowly rose from the pool that she had been flung into, her white lingerie soaked through such that all was visible to the naked eye, from the mound of her sex to even the pink of her areola and nipples were visible if one were to focus, her poppy ornament was resting lower on her damp hair than it once was, and said hair hung over her head like a wet curtain of white.
Slowly, and with a visible tremble to her movement, Coquelic lifted up her hand and brushed her hair to the side, delicately tucking it behind her ears and revealing a scene that had the younger members fleeing with as much speed as they could, even the elder members found themselves torn between fleeing into cover or remaining where they were in hopes of being ignored by the threat before them.
For there, upon the Poppy of the Garden’s face was a smile, a wide and beautiful thing that showed off her white teeth and sharp canines, and yet such menace was there radiating from that expression that none could bring themselves to breathe once they gazed upon it, least of all when they took notice of their Mentor’s eyes being ever so gently closed as her body trembled in incandescent fury.
“My darling Flowers,” the words were spoken as softly and delicately as a petal blowing in a breeze, so delicate and gentle that if one were not in possession of senses as heightened as those of the Flowers, they would be unable to register but the faintest of exhales.
There was a brief pause, as a stillness before a storm, the faint breath of their beloved Mentor that of the first breeze of what would soon become a hurricane, the gentle caress that carried upon it the aroma of death and destruction soon to be made reality as nature unleashed its wrath.
And then the stillness vanished as the storm broke.
Not with a bang, nor with a boom came forth the storm, no, instead its arrival was heralded by red eyes opening as twin scarlet stars as there once more came forth that gentle voice, though now it came not as petals in a breeze, but as the breeze of death itself.
“Get her.”
The doors were once more flung open as the Garden vanished through them in blurs that the naked eye could not track, their Mentor joining them after, in a blur of movement to fast for the eye to track, she grabbed a dry robe of a darker color and threw it over her drenched attire, the process taking her not but a few seconds before she joined her Flowers in the hunt.
Line Break
It said a great deal that this was not the craziest idea that Persephone had ever had.
Indeed, compared to facing down Corpseborn armed with nothing but her Potestats, Shackles, that she was barely skilled with at the time, and two Sinners that had no reason being on the battlefield at all and instead should have been in a classroom or bundled up in their rooms, throwing someone into a pool was actually relatively tame.
That the ‘someone’ in question was the Mentor of the Garden and one of the most lethal S-Rank Sinners in all of Dis, especially given the effectiveness of the most recent treatments in regards to her mania, was where the madness of this idea came from.
In her own defense however, she was not particularly well known for her ideas being what one would refer to as sane on a good day, and when one factored in that she had been too busy to do anything other than binge on caffeine and crash when it ran out for several days as she coped with stress levels that rivaled the mania levels of a Black Ring, it was really no surprise that she would wind up in a situation like this.
Granted, at least a small portion of responsibility had to be laid at the feet of Dr. Iron, as if she had not been griping to Anne about how Coquelic had been neglecting exercising in favor of lounging around in her room, then the idea would not have come to her.
Of course, the fact that she wanted to get some manner of revenge on Conquelic for her having put a collar that read ‘Property of The Garden: Hush Do Not Touch,’ that she had been unable to remove for several days, alongside of the rather sizable amount of marks that had been left on her just before an important meeting, was likewise a factor into her decision.
Granted she was also just feeling like fucking with the Garden a bit before they actually got to fucking.
With a shake of her head, Persephone jolted herself from her thoughts as she quickly dived into a hallway, whirling about on her heel to fling open a door to temporarily bar her pursuers path, an indignant squawk echoing behind her as someone rammed into the door.
Seeing the hallways splitting in 2 ahead of her, Persephone quickly darted down the right path, the sign reading ‘Common Area’ giving her an idea, one that very soon proved to make many more members of the Garden let out yelps and cries of indignation and pain, some even ceasing the chase for a few moments as they tried to ease the aches that overwhelmed them.
The cause?
Persephone leading them straight into a field of building blocks, well known for the pain stepping on them caused, that Oliver and Letta were using to build houses for their plush animals, the pair barely having time to blink as the Chief kicked over one of the containers of blocks they had asked KawaKawa to bring them, just as she leaped over another one, whirling about to kick it over as well, before she dashed out the open door, nearly bowling over a returning KawaKawa in the process.
The trio paused for just a second before the door was flung open and the room filled with not only colored blurs and the scent of flowers, but also cries and howls of indignation that were joined with promises of vengeance as the Flowers continued their chase.
Though there were a few Flowers that broke off, pausing the hunt to help clear the way for the rest of their fellows and their Mentor to spare them the pain they went through, said Mentor and their fellows offering them  respectful nods that none but they could see as they tore through the room a split second later.
Yet those that managed to avoid the hell of the building blocks were not spared the next torment the Chief had in store for them, for they had barely turned the corner in their pursuit when they noticed that the sprinklers were active in the hallway.
High speed movement met with slick floors and walls in a terrific display of chaos as several younger members were sent spiraling across the floor in indignant heaps, picking themselves up with curses grumbled under their breath as they tried to regain their footing and resume the chase, some of their senior fellowship causing to assist them in their efforts.
Most found themselves hauled to their feet by a blur of white as their Mentor seized their hands and lifted them to their feet faster than they could blink one after the other, never once breaking her own momentum as the chase soon resumed in full.
The next obstacle in their chase soon revealed itself, for now the hallway led to a storage area for recreational goods for the various Common Room and such that filled the prison, boxes and crates piled high with empty pallets resting against them, the towers casting ominous shadows under the flickering lights.
Under normal circumstances, this would be a playground for assassins.
However, with the Chief dodging and weaving between towers of crates and boxes, all while slamming pallets down behind her and occasionally knocking over the less fragile items, such as a tower of surplus pillows used during movie nights, on her pursuers, it soon became a nightmare.
And then several members had the brilliant idea of leaping atop the boxes and crates, trying to pounce down on their prey like a cat would a mouse, only to encounter another issue, that being that not all of the towers were exactly stable and thus it soon became a game of trying not to cause a domino effect that would take out both sides as they had to pause or stop the towers before they could fall before they rejoined the chase.
How long they spent dodging pallets and falling towers, or digging their fellows out of piles of stuffed animals and pillows, they had no true way of knowing, only that at some point the speakers had come alive with an announcement that echoed across the Prison.
“To all personnel, this is Adjutant Nightingale, please be advised that the Chief is currently engaged in a pursuit with the members of the Garden. While I have no knowledge of how this chase occurred, it is safe to assume that she has done something to warrant this chase. That said, please do not interfere in the ongoing pursuit and allow for nature to run its course.”
Persephone’s cry of ‘Traitor’ as she ducked into a slide under a tower before bolting out the door, was soon drowned out by the sound of what seemed to be someone laughing hysterically over the intercoms.
Said laughter soon growing to near hysterical levels as they arrived in the hallways near what the sinners and Staff had come to call the Bazaar, a makeshift marketplace ran by Sinners and staff alike, with lifts allowing for one to traverse to the upper layers and the multicolored tents and stalls, it seemed as though a miniature version of the Drifter’s Camp had been remade within the Prison.
Despite what one would think, Persephone had not been the one to create the sprawling marketplace, made of renovated cells converted to stores and tents, instead it seemed to have simply cropped up overnight at the hands of Sinners and staff alike, and with so many high profile Sinners backing it, along with her own boss, Persephone had allowed it to continue to exist, the place growing into what it was today.
And now the bustling marketplace found a storm sweeping through it.
Sinners and staff alike paused in what they were doing, both as a result of the message over the intercoms and as they saw the Chief run as though a legion of the Apostles of Ashes were on their heels, dodging and weaving around the various stalls and carts that some Sinners had set up as their own businesses and the Sinners and staff themselves in their flight.
As she deftly spun the dumbfounded form of Oak Casket, who had been talking to Dudu as they enjoyed some kebabs that had been made by one of their fellow Sinners but a moment earlier,  and placing her in the path of the storm as Persephone plucked the kebab from Oak’s hand as she continued her flight.
The lady of the Romanesque Hall had barely had time to look at Dudu, her mouth opening to ask just what it was that had just occurred, before she found herself watching as blurs passed her by, the smell of flowers enveloping her alongside of the yelps of the stall owner as he found many of his kebabs plucked from him by the group, though a violet colored blur at least left him some Discoins to cover the kebabs.
Slowly blinking, Oak turned to look at Dudu and once more began to open her mouth to speak, only for a blur of white to race past her, seizing a kebab for herself and leaving some Discoins of her own, as the trio of the stall owner, Oak, and Dudu simply silently blinked at the scene for a moment before Oak reached out and plucked the last kebab for herself, the owner simply allowing her to as he tried to process just what had happened.
Soon they were joined in their confusion by Adela, who had been walking to her salon with Crache trailing behind her, or rather Crache was being dragged by Raven who was lecturing her in regards to how her hair was a mess of split ends and tangles due to her avoiding the Salon for so long.
That Crache had yet to slip away via her shadow manipulation was of course in no way related to the promise of a special new doll that the Bird Brained Journalist of Rustfire had made by Garofano especially for her.
Of course not, she simply had nothing else to do at the moment and wanted to get the bird brain off her case, not because she wanted a doll of-
“Sorry!”
“Wha-”
The trio had barely had time to register the familiar voice of Persephone apologizing for something, Crache having barely opened her mouth to ask what was going on, before she barreled through where they had been standing a moment ago nearly bowling them over had they not leapt out to the sides Crache pulling Raven down and onto the ground with her while Adela remained standing.
Crache found herself turning to look at Raven and Adela, the three sharing an open mouthed look of confusion for a moment before they found themselves swarmed by a blur of colors and scents, one of which passed by Crache close enough for a voice to fleetingly whisper into her ear-
“I hope you like the doll.”
Before they passed them by completely in their pursuit.
For a moment the three simply looked in the direction that the fleeting blurs and the chief had gone, before Adela managed to regain her composure and help the pair to their feet, softly murmuring under her breath as she faced the direction the storm had gone.
“I believe we now know what the announcement was about…Miss Inspector, what did you do this time?”
The thought of simply stealing the doll and returning to her room was more tempting than ever to Crache at that moment…though the idea of following along and watching the chaos was also tempting.
Of course, the bird had to start dragging her again as she mumbled under her breath about the articles she was going to be penning later on.
She really should have just stolen the damn doll.
And why could she hear someone eating popcorn over the intercoms!?
In The Command Center
Of course she had no way of knowing that the command center of the bureau was currently watching the scene of the chief blitzing across the bazaar with the Garden in hot pursuit, several sinners that had been nearby doing various tasks having dropped in to watch the show as well.
Nightingale had her face in her palms as she peaked through her fingers at the scene of her superior, watching as she ducked over a stand that was selling records and tapes of bands both current and long passed, Joan and Peggy diving to the sides as the Chief nearly bowled into them in her mad dash.
The pair had barely gotten to their feet before they had to dive back down for cover as the Garden passed over them, Peggy having stood to start yelling at them before a white blur seemed to leap atop her shoulders and then launch off them and over the stall, sending the rapper sprawling back onto the ground in the process.
Snickers and outright laughter rang through the room at the scene, said laughter only growing as the Chief’s next stunt was to seize Hella, who had been arguing with EMP over something trivial while Ninety-Nine watched on as she munched on a slice of watermelon, and then toss the pipe wielding regenerator in the direction of the Garden.
That she had the audacity to say “Go get the Hella, Ninety-Nine,” as though the now currently screaming Sinner was a stick and the dumbfounded berserker was a dog only furthered the laughter, especially when said berserker indeed charged after her sun, forcing the Garden to part like the Red Sea so as to avoid being trampled by her.
Hella’s indignant scream was drowned out by the laughter that echoed within the Command Center, granted that was not the only sound that drowned out the screech, as there was also-
*Crunch*
Nightingale let out a low groan as she turned her head to see the form of Shalom calmly sitting in a chair and watching the screen, a small bowl of popcorn resting on her lap that she was snacking on as she watched the screen with rapt attention.
Where she had obtained it, Nightingale had no idea, though she suspected the form of Rahu, who was standing behind Shalom, was at least partly to blame for it, though it could have likewise been Faye, who was also busy cackling with delight as Persephone pulled off a surprising feat of acrobatics by leaping off one of the platform and landing on the one across from it, tucking into a roll that she soon sprung up from to resume her sprint.
“You have to admit,” came the amused voice of Langley, who had taken a seat and was watching the show that was playing out on the screen as well, “the rookie has some decent moves.”
The spider chuckled to herself as she saw said Rookie make another dash for the edge of the platform, this time latching onto a pipe and sliding down it, launching herself off when she reached the base and seizing onto another one that she dropped down from and onto the edge of another platform that she dropped from and onto the one below it, quickly bolting once more.
“Do we know what she did to get the Garden after her like this?” Cinnabar asked from where she was standing beside Nightingale, seemingly trying to avoid looking directly at the screen for longer than a few moments as she tried to maintain her own professional persona and not give in to the desire to either laugh at her superior’s antics or go and assist her in escaping the Storm pursuing her.
“Not at the moment, no. But knowing her it had to be something that warrants this.” Nightingale said in answer, sighing at the end as she saw Persephone race through a tent where Serpent had been putting on a performance, emerging from the other end a second later with a rather large snake sticking its head out of the opening as if to curse at her before it turned back around.
That said movement coincided with several of the Garden’s Flowers lunging out of other openings in the tent or making their own as they broke off from the hunt and picked up the pace until they were certain they were away from the main tent before they returned to the chase, was surely neither here nor there.
“Should I go and help the Chief?” Came the ever so calm voice of Hecate, the young woman having found herself stopped from aiding her Chief previously by Nightingale, the Adjutant claiming that the Chief needed to learn her lesson.
Though she did not understand what the lesson was and why it involved the Chief being chased, she had been told it was for the Chief’s own good and she had been barred from leaving when she tried earlier, and as such resolved herself to simply watching the screen and waiting to see if she would be needed.
Though perhaps now was her chance to be of use and earn praise from the Chief and perhaps even a head-
“No, she made her bed, let her lie in it.” Langley said from where she was sitting, with Nightingale and Shalom voicing their own agreements soon thereafter, the words making Hecate turn her gaze downwards as she let out a quiet “oh,” before she found herself feeling a hand patting her head.
Blinking in confusion, even as she enjoyed the action though it did not come from her Chief, she looked up to see Zoya smiling down at her, the Wolf Of Syndicate ruffling her hair a bit more before she lifted her hand up and pulled the smaller sinner against her with a one armed embrace, Hecate silently enjoying the contact as Zoya took in the scene on the screen.
“The twig’s detective,” Shalom did not deign to respond to the nickname with anything but a faux smile, “managed to get in touch with her lover in the Garden,” Zoya continued as she moved into the room, guiding Hecate to sit beside her as she took a seat, resting her boots on the desk in front of her, much to Nightingale’s annoyance.
“Apparently the Chief decided to have some fun by tossing their boss into a pool and then bolting, the only reason she was able to learn that is because her girl was one of the ones in charge of herding their brats.” Zoya finished, her lips forming into an amused grin as she saw the way everyone in the room went still, several soon giving way to chuckles and outright laughter as others, such as Nightingale, facepalmed even harder.
The sight of Shalom freezing in place, a piece of popcorn falling from her hand and onto her dress as Rahu turned her head to the side, her shoulders shaking as she fought the urge to laugh, was something Zoya would recall for years to come.
The dumbfounded look Hecate was giving her would be equally as treasured.
“Why Persphone…just…why?” Nightingale managed to choke out as Langley succumbed to laughter, throwing her head back and laughing with delight, her hat almost slipping onto the ground had Hecate not caught it for her and placed it back on her head.
Yet Zoya soon found her own laughter interrupted as she heard Shalom, having let out a few delicate chuckles of her own as she sorted her thoughts, speak up towards her, the woman’s eyes as cold an iced razor blade as they met her own.
“And why is it that Christina would be in contact with you?” The joviality in the room, even with the scene of the Chief spilling several buckets of paint that Lisa was using as she made a painting of the bazaar, and her promptly dodging a bucket the painter had thrown at her as McQueen tried to restrain her, failed to stifle the intensity of the sudden query, an intense bubble forming around them as they met each others gazes, the rest, bar a few, still lost in humorous
That Rahu had ceased her battle with laughter in favor of turning an inquisitive stare towards her as well, her hands clenching ever so slightly as she eyed the wolf, only further heightened the tension in their small bubble.
Yet instead of displaying any form of unease, Zoya instead smirked at the former Hush and her bodyguard, casually reclining in the chair as she turned her gaze to the screen, her smile widening as she saw the chief call out to Horo and have her toss her back on to one of the upper platforms of the bazaar, the lack of an answer making Shalom and Rahu narrow their eyes at her before she at last replied.
“Well, your little detective wanted some advice on how to treat her girlfriend, and decided that I was a better source of it than you. After all, I don’t need a special power to get someone in my bed.” Zoya could not stop her smile from growing as she saw Shalom tense and narrow her gaze at her.
For a moment, there was silence as the former Hush of Paradeisos and the Wolf of Syndicate met each others gazes, before at last Shalom offered a faux smile once again, her frigid gaze developing a hint of something that Zoya could not name as she turned back to the screen, speaking so softly Zoya was certain only her and Rahu could hear it, Hecate likely being unable to as she fought to keep Langley from falling from her chair.
“Oh Chris, you and I are going to need to have a chat aren’t we.” Her words, made Zoya feel slightly worried for the detective, though she soon found her attention shifting back to the screen as she saw the Chief-
Both the Wolf and the Hush joined the Spider and the Adjutant, along with all of the others present within the Command Center, in gaping at the screen, Hecate being stopped but by Nightingale and Langley having firms grips on her shoulders as they all saw the scene of-
The Bazaar.
It is not everyday a chance like this comes, a moment in time where one is permitted to witness one of the most sublime and wondrous scenes that the natural world has to offer, especially within a jungle of concrete and steel.
Already those that had gathered to watch the scene in awe had begun to record and make note of this momentous occasion, for they were among the most privileged and honored few that were permitted to see this magnificent sight before them.
And such a scene it was!
For there before their eyes was a species of Homo Sapiens that most did not believe to exist, indeed there was before them a breathtaking view of a Wild Woman of Minos, her hair blowing backwards as she swung across a great ravine upon a length of colored cloth, her lips parted as she gave voice to the mating cry of her people.
“Fuck!Fuck!Fuck!Fuck!Fuck!Fuck!Fuck!Fuck!”
Ah, such a wondrous sound it was!
Indeed, she continued her mating cries even as she let go of the length of cloth and landed on the platform below her, tucking into a roll and springing up into a sprint as she bolted down a nearby hallway, many cheering her display of acrobatics as her mates echoed her cries and began finding ways down to pursue her.
Though a white blur simply leaped across the divide and mimicked Persephone’s earlier movements of tucking into a roll before springing up and resuming the chase, her fellows already on her heels.
Ah, the wonders of nature.
At the same moment as the gathered Sinners and staff were ruminating on the wondrous sight they had just been witness to, Persephone had barely rounded one of the corners when she noted the form of Hamel walking towards her.
Seemingly lost in her own world, as was the norm for the first recorded sinner, though her eyes gained a light to them as she beheld the chief racing towards her, though it was soon swallowed by confusion as Persephone passed her by, only managed to give voice to-
“Sorry Hamel, I’ll dance with you later, have to run right now bye!”
Before she resumed her mad sprint.
The first recorded sinner simply blinking in confusion as she saw the chief continue racing down the hallway, her keen ears registering the sound of Lynn and Deren letting out twin yelps as they were almost bowled over as they left the room they had been taking her pictures in, before the noise was eclipsed as a storm of colors and flowery fragrances enveloped her.
For a moment she simply stood there and tried to process what she had seen, only to shake her head as she decided to head off to the cafeteria, her curiosity drowned out by the promise of ice cream that Deren had made her.
Already she could hear the director and the photographer hurrying to catch up with her, the pair's conversation on what was going on was drowned out by her own thoughts on whether she should try a new flavor today or not.
A rather loud crash that echoed from a distant corridor jolted her for but a moment, long enough for her to silently pray that her dance partner would survive whatever it was that they had brought down upon themselves this time before she resumed her trek.
Said crash having originated from the Chief having toppled over a stack of boxes to try and buy herself some time, quickly darting through a side door and taking off at a sprint down another hallway, though soon she found herself stopping as she almost ran headfirst into a wall.
Eyes widening, Persephone began to look around for any potential escape routes that she could find, only to be met with nothing but smooth walls, and a growing smell of flowers.
“Well…shit.” Persephone mumbled under her breath, her worries amplified as a reply echoed down the corridor in the form of-
“Indeed, my dear little Chief.”
Gulping slightly, she turned to see the form of Coquelic standing at the end of the hallway, smiling at her as she began to advance towards her, the lights and her hair casting her face in shadows as she advanced.
Beyond her, Persephone noticed the Garden having cut off any potential retreat, many looking winded, many more looking irritated at her due to her stunts, and some were looking at her with what could best be described as a mixture of satisfaction at catching her, and pity at what was to come as Coquelic seized her by the collar of her shirt and pulled her to meet her gaze as she leaned in.
“Do you have anything you want to say my dear Flower?” Coquelic purred to her, lips delicately ghosting her ear for but a second before she pulled back to meet her gaze, her hands shifting such that one rested on her cheek and the other on her neck, scarlet eyes boring into hers for several moments as she patiently awaited her reply, nails lightly digging into her skin as the Mentor thrummed her fingers against her neck as she awaited her reply.
Taking a moment to gather herself and steel her resolve, the Chief of Minos offered Coquelic her best smile as she wrapped her arms around her and gave her a tight hug as she leaned in to place her lips against her ear as she whispered to her.
“Before you punish me, I have one thing to say,” She breathed, sin coating her voice near the end, her smile softening as she felt the way Coquelic relaxed and leaned into her embrace on instinct, the scent of sweat and the floral of a flowers whose name it seemed none knew that oft clung to the Chief gracing the Mentor as she waited for her to continue.
“You always look so beautiful when you are soaking wet. I wonder, are you still wet for me?” Her words made the Flowers gape at her, with Sumire placing her face in her palms as Garofano began to chuckle, both them and their fellows wearing the beginnings of a blush on their faces as they silently agreed with Persephone’s words.
For a moment there was silence, and then it died as Coquelic wordlessly tightened her grip on the Chief, leaning in to let her lips ghost against her ear once more as she spoke aloud for all to hear in a faux whisper.
“Oh my dear, I hope your schedule is clear for…hmmm…what do you all say, the next 4 days or so sound good?” Her words made Persephone gulp slightly, as she saw the gleam that came alight in the eyes of each of the Flowers, each of them sharing a silent conversation with each other in glances before Garofano spoke up on their behalf.
“Let’s make it an even week, shall we Mentor? After all, our dear Chief is going to be a very busy bee and is going to need quite the time to recover.” The smile she wore was as sin coated as the words that flowed from her lips, her pupils were blown as idea after idea played through her mind, each one more delicious than the last.
Persephone felt herself pale slightly when she saw the way Garofano licked her lips as she eyed her, Sumire blushing scarlet next to her as her own thoughts began to run wild as well, with Gekkabijin giving voice to the Flowers thoughts as they began to enclose around her.
“Don’t worry Chief, we’ll be gentle…for now.”
The laughter of the Flowers drowned out Persephone’s cries for mercy as she was spirited away to the Garden’s chambers once more, not to emerge for many a long day, though at the very least, she was able to insure that herself and Coquelic got the exercise they needed.
Something that was readily apparent when she was found tucked into her bed by Nightingale, her freshly sewn clothes resting on top of her dresser with intricate designs of various flowers stitched into them alongside of the repair work needed to make them wearable once more after the Garden had torn them from her form.
Of course, it was not just flowers that were stitched into the clothes, for there, sewn into the collar of her shirt and again into the rear of her pants, was something that made Nightingale sigh upon seeing them as she put the clothes up for Persephone.
The stitching that elicited the response?
“Property of The Garden.”
Upon learning of said writing Langley managed to make a not so small amount of discoins, enough to fill her hat near to the brim, as a result of several bets she had made in the Command Center, a more than fitting final blessing to mark the end of the great Garden Chase of the MBCC.
Line Break
A low sigh left Christina’s lips as she entered her room, one hand beginning to search for her lightswitch as the other began to pull her deerstalker hat from her head and rest it on a-
“Hello Chris.”
Christina would swear to her final breath that she had not screamed when the voice suddenly cut through the gloom and caressed her ears, she had merely released a sound of surprise at the shock of hearing the oh so familiar voice echo from within her room.
Gulping as she felt her blood begin to run cold, Christina turned to where the voice had come from, hearing the sudden *Click* of a lamp being turned on, the light illuminated the form of Shalom sitting in a chair beside her desk, the detective's spare coat resting on her lap as Shalom’s own coat was draped over her shoulders.
Now, while the sight of shalom being in her quarters was already cause for slight concern in the detective, it was the gleam in her eyes that made her truly certain that this was not going to be a pleasant experience for her, something that was further cemented as she felt the towering form of Rahu rest her hand on her shoulder from behind her, somehow having snuck up on her without her knowledge.
“I believe we need to have a little chat about your choice in sources of advice for dating, now don’t we my dear detective?”
It was a faux question, the smile that did not quite reach her eyes and the way she was looking at her told her all she needed to know, and yet still the valiant detective was not one to go down without a fight, and so she summoned forth her resolve and courageously spoke aloud-
“Thistle was the one to make the claim about you needing to use your power on people to make them fall in love with you, and she was also the one to recommend we go to someone else like Zoya for advice since neither of us really know anything about this, and she was also the one who suggested we go to those with more experience before we try anything and-”
Her valiant efforts to throw her lover under the bus and spare herself a lecture were rewarded with a low chuckle from Shalom, the former Hush patting her lap as she smiled at Christina, Rahu letting go of her shoulder and allowing for her to move to sit on the ground beside Shalom and rest her head on her lap, silently accepting her fate.
“Oh I know my dear, she and I are going to have a conversation later on regarding the matter, but for now,” Shalom delicately lifted Christina’s head to where their eyes could meet, before she continued, “We are going to have a conversation about courtship and the necessity of obtaining said information from a trusted and reliable source.”
Christina knew she was doomed, especially when she saw Shalom lift up her tablet and turn it so that they could both face it, the image depicted on it making her squeak and Rahu choke out a yelp of her own.
“Let’s start with the ins and outs of flirting shall we? We will be using Rahu and myself as the study material so please pay close attention Chris, there will be a test afterwards.” As though her words had not made her pale and Rahu blush enough, the way she looked over her shoulder at her shadow covered bed, smiling as she called out-
“That goes for you as well my dear Thistle, I need to know you can be trusted with My Detective, after all.”
Her heart now beginning to hammer in her chest and her blood running as frigid as the arctic, Christina turned to look beyond Shalom, and realized that there, bound on her bed like a trussed up turkey, was her girlfriend.
The same girlfriend she had just thrown under a bus to try and evade this lecture.
‘Well…I’m fucked.’ The detective thought to herself, only for her thoughts to seemingly be read by the woman whose lap her head was resting on as she spoke up with that same gentle and loving voice that Chris had come to cherish over their time together as she carded her fingers through her hair.
“We will cover proper and safe sexual intercourse and aftercare at a later date my dear,” Rahu let out a yelp of shock at the same time Chris and thistle did the same, well as much of a yelp as one with a gag shaped like an apple could in Thistle’s case.
That Shalom looked down at her and, with a wondrous smile on her face, proceeded to tell her, “Oh, and I will be there to supervise you two during that practical exam as well Chris, Rahu will be there as well so don’t worry. I have already planned out a demonstration for you, perhaps I will be able to coerce Coquelic into assisting with it as well come that time…hmmm…” Shalom trailed off for a moment, perhaps unaware or uncaring of the sanguine blush adorning the faces of the other women in the room.
“Now then, let’s start with ‘Establishing a Dialogue for Romance’ shall we?” Shalom smiled again as she resumed stroking Chris’s hair as though she was an extremely terrified kitten, as she pressed the play button on a video of her and Rahu.
Silently, Chris cursed the Wolf of Syndicate, and she knew that Thistle shared her sentiments, perhaps Rahu did as well given the atomic blush she wore and the way she seemed to be doing her damndest to blend in with the shadows and avoid starting at the terminal in Shalom’s hands.
As the video began to play, Chris knew that she was in for a long and painful ride, but at least she would not be suffering alone.
Fin
The English name for the Gekkabajin flower that is Gekka’s namesake.
Well my friends, this makes it 3 acts this play of ours has been going on for, each relatively short by our standards…so how about we spice things up a bit with the next chapter eh?
It will likely take quite a while for us to complete it, and for that we apologize, but we hope to see you all there when it comes time for the curtain to rise on that part of the story.
With all of that said, we would like to give a huge shoutout to JimBoReee on Ao3 for their wonderful opinions and thoughts on this chapter, they are as always a godsend and we encourage you all to go and take a look at their works when you get the chance.
Till next time, stay safe and take care.

Hi there! Glad to see another PtN focused blog. Do you have any romantic sfw and nsfw headcanons for Sumire and Chief!reader? I feel that Sumire is a great partner but she gets overshadowed by the more popular Sinners paired with Chief, so I’d love to see her get more, well, love! Thanks!
You're absolutely right! I've loved Sumire for a long time and this ask finally got me to do her interrogation. I love her even more now! I feel like she's up there with Cinnabar on the list of potential perfect partner candidates!
NSFW below the cut.
Sumire x Chief (SFW+NSFW)
Even after everything, Sumire has a habit of being distant, watching Chief from afar with a wistful gaze in her eyes. They weren’t blind to it, and were more than aware that she was still protecting them from threats in the shadows.
They also, as time went on, began to understand that Sumire viewed them as more than just a friend. There was a certain fond adoration in the assassin’s eyes when she looked at them,  and her smile always seemed to turn brighter when she saw them.
It was… cute, if the Chief was being honest with themself. Sumire’s behavior was very charming indeed, and… well, she was pretty. Sumire didn’t seem to think much of herself and her scarred, worn body, but the more Chief gazed upon her, the more they found themself appreciating her as if she were the moon itself, or a particularly breathtaking piece of artwork.
Chief considered their options. It was very much against rules for them to be in a relationship with a Sinner, but Sumire was an assassin, after all; subtlety was the name of the game for her. Surely she could keep a relationship clandestine.
Chief wasn’t sure how to express their feelings in words, though, so they resorted to another language they knew Sumire would understand: flowers. Using the guise of a minor dispatch mission, the Chief brought Sumire to an Eastside park underneath the full moon and presented her with a bouquet of seven red roses, three sunflowers, and a medley of primroses, violets, and, of course, cherry blossoms.
Even if Sumire hadn’t understood their meaning (she had, of course; what sort of Garden assassin wouldn’t?), receiving a bouquet in a setting such as this can only mean one thing. Her eyes widened, and the Chief couldn’t help but focus on the shocked ‘o’ her lips formed, beautiful even when surprised.
The pale moonlight showed the blush emerging on Sumire’s pale skin as she accepted the bouquet – and with it, the confession. She held the flowers close as though afraid she might drop them, and the two stood in silence for a moment, the night breeze gently playing with their hair.
“Chief, I never thought…” Sumire stopped, seeming to reconsider her words, before continuing. “I’m honored that you’d pick me above all others. My feelings for you… I have loved you for a long time now.”
The rest of the night is spent innocently, the two laying in the park watching the night sky and talking in hushed voices. The only sign that something had changed was when Sumire returned with the Chief’s jacket around her shoulders – her explanation was simply that the Chief had given it to her, worried that she might catch a chill (which, in all fairness, was true).
As Chief had expected, Sumire expertly kept their relationship hidden – she acted much the same as she always did around the Chief, and her lingering close by but also at a distance was simply her normal, so nobody questioned it.
Well, Coquelic and Garofano noticed. Still, their primary concern was that Sumire was happy, so they didn’t make a fuss out of it, aside from some teasing remarks and well-wishes (and threats towards Chief when Sumire wasn’t in earshot. Chief was very, very glad they had no intentions of breaking Sumire’s heart.)
While affairs at the Bureau contained business as normal, a discerning eye might notice that the Chief was taking Sumire as an escort on a staggering amount of “nighttime dispatches.” These mainly consisted of walks (in well-lit parks) and visits to the theaters of Eastside, as most of the nightlife was not to their liking, but the day held too much risk of being caught.
Still, occasionally they’d find a 24-hour cafe or some such that they’d both become enamored with; they’d become regulars at those places, albeit not too regular just in case.
Overall, while their relationship was quiet and fairly lowkey, both Chief and Sumire were happier than they had ever been. Each saw the other as a break from the hectic bustle of their daily lives, and both couldn’t imagine parting from each other. Theirs is a relationship that is likely to stay together, even if official marriage isn’t in the cards for a relationship such as theirs.
They don’t often have the opportunity to have sex, but when they do, Sumire is entirely focused on Chief’s pleasure. The Chief attends to her as dutifully as they can, of course, but the simple fact of the matter is that the Chief’s pleasure is Sumire’s pleasure; usually she reaches her own climax not long after they do.
Sumire doesn’t enjoy penetrative sex very much, and much prefers to orally pleasure the Chief. Inexperience means that it can be messy at times, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. Sumire’s devotion makes up for any shortcomings.
Sumire’s instinctive nature is gentle sex, but if the Chief asks for it rough, she will oblige with a surprising fierceness that serves as a reminder that every rose has thorns.
When it comes to kink, Sumire is very vanilla. She’s willing to try some of the tamer stuff if Chief wants it, but it’s very much not her thing, and she’ll gently but firmly assert her boundaries on this.
That being said, she enjoys the artistry of shibari and is in fact very skilled at it; apparently, in addition to finding the end product beautiful, it also calms Sumire’s mind. When asked by the Chief about how she got so skilled with the ropes, Sumire admitted that she had been practicing on herself for quite a long time.
Aftercare with these two is usually a shared bath, washing each other’s hair and bodies. Afterwards, they have a tendency to fall asleep in each other’s arms, comfortable and blissed. It’s probably this that poses the biggest risk of exposure to their relationship, but hey, they haven’t been found out yet…

Drew some scenes from the Path to Nowhere fic I wrote! I was thinking how funny it would be if during the part where L.L was embarassed and felt Coquelic's stare, was actually Coquelic and Sumire having a silent conversation.
Anyway, the new event was so fun! Miss Hella and her potty mouth. Our baby all grown up having adventures making me so proud. Also maybe Korryn and Bai Yi should open a new company together. The level of scamming they both could think of will be fantastic lol.

The Garden, my beloveds.
Just imagine Coquelic keeping you in a cute little collar and leash that Garofano made for you. Such a spoiled little pet you'd become. We know how the women of the Garden serve Coquelic, so it would hardly be much of a difference to them to extend that to you as well. Joining her your owner in the bath becoming a regular occurrence and how you always seem ro leave baths with more bite marks and hickies then when you went in.
And between them, whenever one needs to leave to take care of something, the others are there to keep you distracted. I don't think they would let such a cute girl like you know what it is they do when they leave, that's much too scary for their sweet girl! No no, much better to stay with them, to focus on Coquelic's wandering tongue at your throat, or resting against Sumire so she can enjoy your warmth, or playing dress up with Garofano.
And when they get arrested by the MBCC? Well, it would simply be the organizations best interest to bring you along too. Wouldn't want such a dangerous trio of women to be getting angrier and angrier, just because they don't have their sweet pet, now do we? All of them suddenly becoming feircly protective of you, so many scary people around their sweet baby, no they wouldn't let anyone so much as lay a finger tip on you. Save for maybe the Chief, who gets a particular exception after all three come to trust them more.
The other Sinners must be so jealous of the sight. Just sweet and adorable you following the three women around like a loyal puppy, getting passed between their laps to be showered in all the love and affection you could want. None missing the way you suddenly appear, completely covered head to toe in bites and hickies, far far more then normal, after the most recent visit from Rahu and Shalom.
Yea.... I might think about the Garden women... maybe just a little.
I am…drooling a little bit over this ask 🤤
Something about Reader being a cute, compliant little pet that tails after Coquelic, Garofano and Sumire is scratching the itch in my brain so well… I imagine that all three women love to spoil you so, and in turn, it’s caused the MBCC some issues when they finally detained the women for being sinners. Coquelic probably came hissing and scratching for her cute little pet to join her at the Bureau when she was shackled, and poor Chief had no choice but to take you along with them, as the three Garden assassins were not having it being separated from you 🥺
nsfw under the cut
Tumblr media
After a brutal back and forth argument between Coquelic and the Chief, the Chief had no other choice but to detain you as well, for fear that her Garden sinners would come for her head if she refused. A bit apologetic for detaining you as you did nothing wrong, the Chief was surely surprised when you came running up to your owners rather eagerly. With Coquelic, Garofano and Sumire smothering you in affectionate kisses right at the entrance.
It was clear that the four of you had a very close bond, so Chief allowed you to stay in either Coquelic’s, Garofano’s, or Sumire’s cells when it came to sleeping over for the night. You’d routinely take turns sleeping with each women throughout the week depending on how much they wanted you, but Coquelic was usually the woman you most often stayed with, as she was the most possessive and the most needy.
Every time you’d spend the night at one of these three women’s cells, expect to have a 70% chance of being fucked, as these women have quite the high libidos. You’d think Garofano and Sumire were women who’d most likely be able to keep it in their pants, but you’d be wrong. They love you, and they want to show it off to you whenever they get the chance. Which would most often them not lead to you being tied up and fucked out of your mind.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. The Garden Sinners are very much into bondage. All three of them in fact, as it is common to find you with rope markings whenever you step out of their cells in loose or slightly revealing attire. All the sinners in the Bureau (plus Chief and Nightingale) are painfully aware of what happens to you whenever you spend the night at a Garden assassin’s room, but aside from the jealous stares and blushes that show their arousal, no one says anything for fear of Coquelic coming for their head…
Speaking of Sinners, some of them get a bit jealous over the trio having such a cute, submissive pet tailing their every move. Some of which have tried getting close to you (Namely Bai Yi, Shalom, and Chelsea) and were promptly met with an angry Coquelic, or a knife slamming way too close to their face.
Shalom especially, as that woman got on Coquelic’s nerves the most. If Coquelic ever saw Shalom sitting close to you, trying to swoon you over with sweet words and caresses to your hair, Coquelic gets pissed the fuck off and snatches you away as quickly as she can.
In conclusion, Coquelic, Garofano, and Sumire are all like possessive cats when it comes to you. They are capable of sharing you amongst themselves, yet when it comes to the other Sinners…well…
The Chief would have to use her shackles often 😅

PTN as Chinese Myths:
Adela: 梦貘 (mèng mò)
A mythical creature that eats your nightmares in the middle of the night. Usually resides in the forest and sleep under trees but, at night will come out and eat nightmares. When having nightmares will come to your aid.
Notes:
-She blends well with society and has a small cabin a few murmurs away from the city
-She looks like a human though her nails are slightly longer
-Her physical body is more frail than others in her human form and paler skin. And the whites of her hair covers more mass
-Very doting person and is curious about how you know what she is. Though her curiosity turns into something more…
-Will use the excuse of her “not wanting to let you have nightmares” to let her watch you sleep or let her sleep with you in bed
L.L: 鲛人 (jiāo rén)
Similar to a mermaid though live in different areas. Known for their beauty and have scales near their cheek bone. Also their half human body and half fish like bottom. Their tears turn into pearls and have soothing voices that sing
Notes:
-Found her tangled up in fish nets and struggling as she got blown onto the shore by some pirates
-After rescuing her and taking back home she was cautious at you at first until you started to feed her some fish. After some time she finally realized you weren’t gonna hurt her and slowly got more familiar to you
-Her tail is a dark blue leading to a more teal blue at the fins. And some scales near her cheekbones. Her hearing is also more sensitive than others
-Didn’t like it when you sent her back to sea. Though every time you went to visit her she’ll give you all types of shells and pearls. Only saying it was a gift, she was courting you
Sumire: 花妖 (huā yāo)
Is made up from numerous types of flowers that turns into a human. They have enchanting and bewitched beauty. Used mostly to seduce and kill humans.
Notes:
-Long black hair all the way down to her legs and deep purple eyes that look like they can pierce through your soul. Has purple and pink flowers adorning her hair with some golden accessories
-Looks like a very caring and loving person in the morning while hunts down humans at night. Her fragile looking appearance deceive lots of people from what she it
-Was gonna hunt and kill you after knowing you know what she was. But for unknown reasons, she didn’t. Sometimes can see her caught staring at you
-Once you received a flower crown at your door with a love poem at your door. Though you didn’t know from far away she was watching you, a little anxious about your reaction to her love
Ummm I hope y’all enjoyed it. If you guys have any other suggestions on PTN as Chinese myths please interact with my inbox or if you want me to elaborate on any characters (like my Garofano one) you can ask :) I know Adela’s doesn’t make too much sense but I was thinking of having them have similar abilities to the myth and some qualities. Size, different features, or any colors, etc I’ll add into it. I’m probably gonna include NSFW in some into this (I’ll find a way) Probably gonna make like head canons for them, so just ask for characters if you want them :D There’s some things I haven’t added into Adela’s but I’ll elaborate in another post ><

I know most ptn players love to see sinners fuck chief or reader. But on the contrary, I honestly admit that I love to see sinners get fucked and shed tears because of pleasure🫣
So I want to ask that if you could write dom reader x sub sumire or dom reader x sub adela
Honestly... dacryphilia is sooo hot to me.
WARNINGS: NSFW, Dacryphilia, Overstim, Edging, Safeword
Sumire would be such a pretty crier during sex. Fat tears roll down her face while her mouth is agape with moans slipping out- such a perfect sight. She doesn't cry easily, but if you're overstimulating or edging her, then tears will absolutely start forming in those pretty eyes of hers while she gazes at you.
Just imagine strapping a vibrator to her clit that is constantly overstimulating her clit. You tied her hands together so she couldn't try and get it off when it became too much. Her clit is so swollen and red from the constant vibrations, and she's whimpering and whining that it's too much- but the fact Sumire hasn't said the safe word is a sign that it isn't too much at all.
There will be a puddle of her slick and cum between her legs depending on how long you've been doing this for. Dip your finger in the cuddle and bring it to her lips, having her taste herself. Sumire feels a bit humiliated when you do it, but she can't deny that it gets her gushing even more because she's the one who created that mess between her legs.

Was supposed to write this as a Christmas fic but here it is being a mix of Christmas and New Year~
Game: Path to Nowhere
Characters: Various x fem!reader (Chief) (includes Chameleon, Cabernet, Eirene, Langley, Garofano, Sumire, Chelsea, Lady Pearl, Vautour Bleu and Bai Yi; basically open relationship with all)
Type: Fluff and implied smut (long fic)
The end of the year was a busy time for you with lots of reports and documentation to complete, even more so considering the staff had taken holidays for the last week to spend time with their families and loved ones. Unfortunately, as the Chief of MBCC, you didn't have such plans. After all, you didn't have a home or family to go back to. Your days were always spent in the Bureau, whether it be working days or not. You didn't mind it, you liked the place and it was important to be there for the Sinners.
Some Sinners also took permissions for outing this week, most likely for similar reasons as the staff. But a considerable amount was still at the bureau and it was your duty to ensure they enjoy the holidays too. With that in mind, you had already planned everything with Nightingale's help to organise a Christmas party. On the morning of Christmas, the Sinners woke up to find lights and holiday decorations all around the bureau and personalized invitations at their doors. By evening, everyone started gathering in the recreational area wearing Christmas themed outfits and eagerly waiting for the party to begin.
"Did she really plan all this? I'm impressed~"
"She's always so hard working for us..."
"I can't wait to see what's in store!"
They mumbled amongst themselves as they waited. Then, all of a sudden, the door burst open and someone dressed in red and white with a beard and a red bag came hopping in cheering 'Merry Christmas' and throwing candies from the bag. It didn't take long for everyone to figure out it was none other than their beloved Chief dressed as Santa Claus. The children appeared most excited and huddled around you to take more candies, but more surprises awaited them.
"Follow me, everyone!" You announced and led them to the courtyard and their eyes widened at the marvelous sight in front.
A giant Christmas tree decorated with all sorts of ornaments stood in the center, and a huge bunch of gifts were placed under it. More lights and decorations adorned the area along with artificial snow falling down to give the effect of real Christmas as much as possible. You wanted all of them to feel happy even if they were away from their loved ones. You soon began distributing gifts from the bunch to each of them. It was a long and hard process to think of unique gifts for all, but you hoped everyone would like your choice.
"Ah, I wanted this for so long! Thank you, Chief!" Owo said excitedly.
"Chief, how did you know I wanted this....?" Garofano commented with a smile.
"My, this is unexpected but pleasant nonetheless~" Chameleon remarked while smirking.
Many more Sinners remarked on the gifts and thanked you. You were truly glad to see everyone liked what they received.
"Merry Christmas everyone! Please help yourselves to the feast and I hope all of you have a good time!" You spoke after the gift distribution, showing the unraveled buffet you specially arranged for. It was no lavish feast, but it was more than heartwarming for them to see you do so much. Many of them didn't really think much of Christmas and didn't plan to celebrate- like Chameleon, who had bare minimum interest in the festival. But even she could appreciate this gesture. Hours quickly passed as everyone enjoyed themselves to the night and the day was over before you knew it.
You went back to your office once everything was finished and sat on the couch with a sigh while removing the hefty Santa Claus clothes. You laid down on the couch for a moment to rest, your eyes fixated on the ceiling as you pondered over the day and felt happy everything went well. You then got up and decided to complete some more paperwork and your eyes fell on a small box kept on your table with the label- 'Merry Christmas, Chief. Thank you for your hard work'. There was no undersign but you could tell it was from Nightingale, she had also taken a leave from today until 31st. You smiled to yourself and securely kept the contents of the box in an appropriate place then sat on your desk to work.
Some time passed and in another corner of the bureau was the arrival of a most unexpected guest. The limousine stopped in front of the bureau and the leader of the 9th Agency stepped out, her cane tapping on the floor first. She looked at the building in front of her with a smirk then flicked her hat before beginning to walk inside. She glanced at the decorations in the courtyard as she walked, smiling internally at the preparations you did. She finally reached your office door and opened it to reveal your body perched upon the desk, meticulously working as always. Langley half expected you to rest now, but she knew well that wouldn't be the case.
"Ahem, hard at work, rookie?~"
Langley's sudden voice beamed in your ears, causing you to stand up.
"L-Langley! What brings you here at this hour?"
Langley smiled and closed the door behind her as she walked in then stood in front of you. She took a look around the office and seemed disappointed at how empty and normal it looked.
"Checking up on my rookie. I see you didn't take a break even during Christmas."
"Ah, I did for some time. You know, there was the party...."
"Hm, I see."
"Oh, that reminds me! It's good you came here right now, wait a minute."
You asked her to stay while you proceeded to look in your cabinet and soon took out a wrapped box then came back to her side.
"This is for you. Merry Christmas, boss~"
Langley looked at the beautifully wrapped box and was taken aback for a moment, though her expression remained fairly unchanged.
"What is this?"
"Your Christmas gift. I had thought to give it to you whenever we'd meet and it's good that you came right now. I hope you'll like it...."
Langley accepted the box and stared at it for a moment then kept it on the desk. Her lips curled up in a smirk and before you knew it, she pulled you closer by grabbing your chest harness and pressed her lips to yours. Your eyes widened at the surprising sensation, but Langley only went deeper as she stepped closer and pinned you against the edge of the desk. Her lips ravaged yours with fervor, rolling her tongue with yours in a passionate kiss. Her hands pinned yours to the side, holding you by your wrists as she came closer and made you lie flat on the table while her knee lodged between your thighs.
"Mmm.... L-Langley....!~"
You moaned into the kiss, fueling Langley's desire further. She bit your lower lip and continued kissing you deeply until she was satisfied. You were breathless by the time she pulled away, panting intensely while she gazed at you and caressed your lips with her thumb. She smirked as she stepped away to let you stand up and fix yourself while she fixed her own clothes too then picked up her cane.
"You have my thanks, rookie. Rest up now."
"R-Right, I will, boss...."
Langley chuckled and was about to walk out when something came in her mind.
"I do wonder, did your beloved Sinners thank you in return for all your effort? I don't see any kind of gifts around."
"Ah, they don't need to. I wanted them to enjoy which I guess they did, seeing them happy is a good enough gift for me."
Langley stared at you then nodded before turning around to walk away.
"Seriously, rookie...." she muttered under her breath before glancing one last look at you as she exited.
The day of the celebration passed and everything was back to normal. Most Sinners who went out returned while some took an extended outing until New Year's Eve. It was still a festive atmosphere but for you there was no end to the paperwork, you just hoped to complete it all before next year....
Unbeknownst to you, a secret gathering of some Sinners was being conducted in a secluded area of the bureau by courtesy of Nightingale. You'd generally have eyes and ears everywhere, but on request of the boss of the 9th Agency, Nightingale prepared a room where they could meet in solace. Nobody was aware of the agenda of this supposed meeting, many couldn't even understand why Langley wanted to meet this way.
"I gather these are all the people who are interested, Adjutant?" Langley asked Nightingale who firmly nodded.
"There would be more but I refrained from inviting too many. They will be sufficient for now."
"Understood, then let's begin right away. I won't waste much time, the agenda of this meeting is simple. Your beloved Chief organized such a marvelous Christmas party, yet she received nothing in return from any of you."
Langley's sharp words triggered many of them, some furrowing their brows as if feeling accused of doing something wrong.
"Hmm? If this is about gratitude, then I had extended an invitation to her for my private Christmas gathering and she refused it herself." Eirene was the first to speak. It was surprising she came to this meeting considering she wasn't in the party, but she was always interested in things like this if it involved you.
"Oh? What a coincidence, so did I. It's a shame truly, she would have had so much fun at my party~" Chelsea countered, making Eirene glare at her for a moment before letting out a chuckle.
"Surely your little....party would be incomparable to my annual celebration. It's renowned in Eastside and Quinn only offers the best services~"
Chelsea also glared at her before smirking, "That's precisely why my sugar baby would like my place better. It'd be more personal and....intimate, she could have anything she wants and I would ensure the best reception for her~"
Eirene was about to retort when a giggle was heard from the other corner.
"Reception, you say? Then the Francs have most experience here. Our parties are as large as Quinn's but frivolous formalities are left at the door. It's no wonder Chief declined you both to come to mine~"
Cabernet quipped, her words making everyone stare at her in shock.
"What?! I don't believe my sugar baby would discriminate this way!" Chelsea gasped.
"Um, if I may interject...." a soft voice interrupted the commotion and they all turned their gazes towards the source.
"....Chief was at the party yesterday the entire time. I can confirm since I was part of it." it was Garofano who spoke.
"If my word matters then I can confirm as well~" Chameleon added.
Chelsea let out a sigh of relief while Eirene cleared her throat and Cabernet was giggling to herself, enjoying riling them up.
"Just a moment, you say she was at the party the whole time? Did she not take the day off for her own personal matters?"
Another person spoke and this time it was Lady Pearl who had been silently listening so far.
"Yes, that appears to be the case. Adjutant Nightingale can explain better, perhaps?" Garofano replied.
Nightingale let out a sigh, "Chief lives here only; she has no home, family or associates of any kind. She put in lot of work for the party yesterday, planned it a long time ago and implemented it herself since I and most of the staff were also on leave yesterday."
Everyone went silent hearing the surprising truth. They all knew how much effort you spent to run the bureau but they weren't aware you had no personal life to speak of.
"Ah, finally I can continue? Thank you, Adjutant. Since everyone is up to date with the matter now, let me reiterate my point. I don't care what parties or gatherings you invited her to, in the end, she did not receive any gratitude in return. So, the stage is open for ideas. I don't care when it is and how it is as long as you all come to an answer she will like." Langley spoke.
The room was silent once again as everyone seemed to ponder then Chameleon spoke.
"Hmm, and why do you care so much about showing gratitude to her, Ms Langley?~"
Langley's brow twitched and she glared at Chameleon before someone added in.
"That's true. And who made you the boss here?! You weren't even at the party yourself!" Bai Yi was the one to speak this time while leisurely leaning against the wall.
"Would you like to take charge then, Ms Bai Yi?~" Langley replied with a fake smile.
"Ooh, now we are talking! Alright, listen up everyone! We are going to organize the best party for Chief!" Bai Yi announced with a cheer, but nobody cheered with her in agreement and she quiety stepped back.
Langley rolled her eyes at the annoying interferences, she was regretting to organize this meeting.
"A-Ahem, back to the topic. Would anyone like to suggest ideas? It doesn't have to be a party, our motive is to thank Chief for all she has done. I suggest we do something on the 31st and make it a New Year's present for her." Nightingale said.
"Good idea, Adjutant. I agree about making it a New Year's gift." Langley complimented.
"Well then, perhaps we should name the things she likes and choose according to that." Chameleon said.
Everyone nodded and started pondering what things you liked- be it hobbies, entertainment, food, music etc. However, after pondering for a good while, nobody could come up with concrete options. It's not that they didn't think of anything, but more like they didn't know what you liked personally.
"Uh, what does Chief even like? She seems to do anything and everything that catches her eye around the bureau...." Sumire broke the silence with her doubt.
"Hmm, I have seen her often talk with Pepper and Mentor about the plants here but it doesn't seem she grows any out of personal interest." Garofano added.
"She enjoys the plays the children perform, but always denies getting involved herself whenever I suggest her to take up the stage." Lady Pearl continued.
"She is a good food critc and always eats with me when I invite her, but in the end she enjoys simple meals most." Cabernet said.
"I suggested her to read some new books once and she read them all in a month then added them to the library, but I rarely see her pick out new books otherwise." Eirene added.
"Hmmm....something she enjoys.... Ah, all I can think about is the way her face contorts in pleasure when we—" Bai Yi spoke dreamily, until being stopped by everyone.
"Ahem, Ms Bai Yi, while I agree with you, now is not the time for that." Eirene scolded, making Bai Yi pout.
"Hmph, she certainly has a knack for getting kidnapped as well~" Langley teased, making everyone chuckle.
"She is also a terrible undercover agent if she easily fawns over her target next door~" Vautour Bleu commented.
Light chuckles resounded in the room as everyone tried to recall the things you like and enjoy, but nobody could settle on what to do for gratitude since everything they recounted only seemed to show your dedication towards them.
"I....suppose she's fond of taking care of us...." Sumire spoke in a melancholic tone.
"It's her job. Although, she does seem too focused on work all the time...." Garofano said in agreement.
"Hah, so you are saying we don't know anything she personally likes to do? Her hobbies or interests, anything?" Chelsea said in an annoyed tone.
"Adjutant, you must be knowing her better than us. Do you have any input?" Langley probed Nightingale who looked down with a dejected expression.
"No, I don't know any better either. If she's not assissting any of the Sinners then she's cooped up in her office buried in paperwork. I always try to ease her burdens so she could take a break but the work seems never ending...."
"Does she.... not have a life without us? What was she like before she became the Chief here?" Sumire asked.
Her question intrigued everyone, it was true they didn't know how you were outside of your job and before it. Langley sensed the growing curiosity and knew she had to divert the topic, disclosing such sensitive information about you would have dire consequences.
"That hardly matters, we are getting off-topic once again. If none of you can think anything then I suggest having a party and arranging personal gifts for her, it seems to be the safest option and she will get to have a break too."
Langley's proposal was fair but nobody responded immediately as they were still thinking to do something else.
"It is quite simple, I don't see what this fuss is about." Chamelon said all of a sudden, and everyone looked at her with confused faces.
"Care to explain, Chameleon?" Langley said.
"Hah.... If all we can think about is her dedication towards us then doesn't that mean we are the ones she loves most?~"
Eyes widened at Chameleon's statement as if a sudden switch was triggered in everyone's mind.
"But, isn't that—" Garofano said but was cut off.
"What's the harm in that? Don't tell me you all find yourselves to be of so little value for her?~" Chameleon said.
More silence followed Chameleon's words until Garofano spoke up with a smile.
"I adore the way she smiles when I make new clothes for her. She always tries them on so happily and thanks me, she looks so happy wearing them...."
Sumire was next to say, "She is my most treasured person. She participates in tea ceremonies and flower arrangements with me, she does it with diligence and looks forward to next time...."
Eirene added now, "She is my true partner. She never denies playing chess with me even though she always loses, and she always schedules a next match...."
"Her palate is much simpler than mine, she hardly knows most of the dishes I offer to her but she always tries everything and thanks me for introducing her to new flavors. Not to mention, she never fails to satisfy my hunger for her...." Cabernet said with a sigh.
Chameleon chuckled, "Since the day she agreed to be my toy, she has never failed to keep up with me. I look forward to the late night talks with her...."
Everyone eventually revealed their most cherished moments with you since they were the time they had seen you be the happiest around them.
"How romantic, seems a wedding ceremony may as well be the best gift for her~" Langley teased, "But, this has given me an idea now."
~*~
It was the last day of the year now. You didn't even realize how time passed so quickly and another year was coming to a close. You were thrust into this role 2 years ago with no memories or knowledge of yourself and the world, but here you were still thriving somehow. You had completed all major paperwork and were only left with minor issues which you planned to slowly complete throughout the day, today you wanted to feel relaxed. With a cup of coffee in your hand, you came to the cafeteria to grab a bite and noticed it was emptier than usual.
Most Sinners would generally be here at this hour for breakfast. You noticed how many of the older ones were absent, save for a few. You didn't pay much heed to this and headed back to your office with the coffee and sandwich in hand. More hours passed in the blink of an eye as you worked on your desk with unbroken resolve as you were determined to keep your evening free. You wanted to organize a New Year's party but had already used most budget for the Christmas party, still you planned to order some good food for everyone.
Strange enough, nobody came to your office the entire time for any matter, nor did any situation come up among the Sinners. It felt as if you were the only one in the building, if not for Nightingale's regular check-ins. You remembered some of them had taken outing permission for today as well, but the silence was still daunting. It was late evening when you finally completed your work and decided to head to your room to rest for a while.
As you approached the door, you noticed a piece of paper lying on the floor and crouched to pick it up. It was a simple card with the following words written- 'For Chief, come to us <3'
The wording made you think someone was playing a prank, but the familiar scent coming from the paper made you curious. You stood up and opened the door and were met with the sight of a red heart shaped balloon and a similar kind of paper attached to its string, which read- 'Thank you for always taking care of us'
You couldn't understand what was happening. You looked around and saw another similar balloon at the end of the lobby and swiftly walked up to it. As expected, another paper was attached to it which read- 'Thank you for your hard work'
This was followed by another balloon a few steps away with the paper reading- 'You are the light in my grim world'. This messaged seemed more personal, and you had some idea who it could be from but weren't fully sure.
The next card read- 'You are my most treasured gem.' Another personal card and this one seemed more obvious.
You blindly kept following the trail of balloons and were desperately searching for the next one which was slightly farther but not out of sight. You held the card which read- 'You are the most delicious delicacy in this world I will patiently wait for.' This could only be from a certain red-haired woman....
The next card in your hand read- 'Thank you for giving us, me, a place to call home'. Another ambiguous message, but something felt familiar about it.
You didn't realize when you reached the last balloon and were also standing in front of your own room now. You looked around in awe as you snapped out of your trance, wondering who did this but the hall was empty. The last balloon was attached to the door knob with a simple message pasted- 'We are waiting for you ;)'
You contemplated for a moment about what to do. Everything was quite suspicious and you had a few suspects in mind but weren't sure what the motive was here. You had an idea of what awaited you beyond this door. Would it really be the right choice to go in? You could simply ignore everything and walk away, but deep down you were eager to know the finish line of this chase.
You took a deep breath and turned the knob to open the door and were met with complete darkness. You stepped inside and the door automatically shut itself and you knew it was futile to try to go out. You remembered the framework of your room hence cautiously walked forward until you felt your foot step on something like a button and in an instant, bright lights covered your view followed by sounds of something popping and cheers of 'Surprise!'
As your eyes adjusted, you finally realized what was happening. There stood all of your Sinners- well, some of them- with a cake in front and party poppers on the floor. The room was decorated with simple ornaments that gave a positive and cheerful vibe, and the cake was labeled- 'Thank you'
"What.... what is all this?" those were the words that first left your mouth. The SInners in front had similar reactions, some smiled while a few chuckled at your dumbfounded expression.
"It is our gratitude for you, Chief. You did so much for us on Christmas, and every day before it, while we didn't give you anything in return. We wanted to show our appreciation for you as well." Sumire answered your question with the most sincere and honest reply.
"We are sorry we didn't give you anything in return on Christmas even though you did so much for us. Please forgive us and accept this as your belated Christmas present." Garofano continued and both of them pushed the table with the cake closer to you.
You were rendered speechless and motionless for a moment, not knowing how to respond. You looked at all the women gathered around who were smiling and waiting for you to cut the cake. You didn't know they had such thoughts and almost felt guilty for making them think you found them ungrateful.
"I... I-I don't know what to say. Um.... you all didn't have to do this. I don't feel any of you are ungrateful and I don't mind not receiving anything in return. I just wanted you all to feel happy on a festive day like that, the greatest gift for me is seeing you all being happy...."
The words barely came out of you as you stuttered out of embarrassment. All of them felt their hearts skip a beat hearing them, it was beyond their understanding how you could make them feel this way.
"Save your humility for later, Chief. It wouldn't hurt to receive thanks once in a while, would it?~" Chameleon spoke amidst the silence and walked up to you. She stood in front and lighted the candle on the cake then stepped back.
"Indeed. You deserve this, rookie~" Langley's voice beamed from your left.
You felt overwhelmed at the gesture and struggled to react for a while then took a deep breath and picked up the knife. You blew the candle and everyone clapped as you cut the cake. You didn't expect to receive anything like this, but you would be lying if you said the feeling wasn't good.
"Whose idea was it to do this, by the way?" you asked and everyone fell silent once again until Langley spoke.
"That doesn't matter. It was a group effort in the end. Now then, let's move to the gifts."
It seemed as if she dodged the question but you didn't probe further as you were more surprised hearing about gifts.
"Wait, gifts? There's more to this surprise?"
"Why, of course. No celebration is complete without gifts, is it?~" Chelsea spoke.
You waited for them to give their gifts but you couldn't see any kind of boxes or packets around them. All of a sudden, they stepped closer to you at once and soon stood in a circle around you. Their eyes glimmered with mischief, lips curled up in smirks as they gazed at you.
"S-So, what are the gifts....?"
"About that, Chief..... We thought long and hard about the things you like— any accessories, electronics, food— anything. But in the end, we couldn't figure out any materialistic option that you'd like." Eirene said in a humming tone.
"But then, the best option finally dawned on us after meticulous discussion. Care to take a guess?~" Chelsea added.
"Uhhh, I'm not sure...."
"Hehe~ Oh, you are so adorable, Chief~" Chameleon commented.
"We realized the best gift for you is.... us~" Cabernet revealed, making your eyes widen in surprise.
"I-I don't think I follow...." you nervously spoke, subconsciously averting your gaze from them.
"We know, Chief. You care for us most. And we care for you as well, you are the most important person in our lives. That's why, we want to give ourselves to you. Our mind, body and soul— everything is yours." Garofano explained and stepped closer to hold your hand.
You were rendered speechless once again. The turn of events was most unexpected. While you already had sexual relationships with all of them as a form of stress relief and fulfillment, you didn't think they wanted something so serious with you.
"Take us, Chief. There is nobody else who deserves us the way you do, we cannot think to devote ourselves to anyone other than you." Sumire added and stepped in to hold your other hand.
"I...." you tried to form words but none came out.
You could see their expressions turning sour at your continued silence and realized you were making them upset. But before you could finally respond, someone jumped in and kissed you. Surprised gasps resounded around you at the perpetrator- who was none other than Bai Yi.
"Aah, all of you were wasting so much time that I couldn't wait! Stop thinking so much about it and just take us, Chief~" Bai Yi said with a wink and kissed you again.
Perhaps the electrifying kiss is exactly what you needed to come back to your senses. Once she pulled away, you were finally brave enough to accept what was happening and respond accordingly.
"I.... I'm very grateful for this. Truly, you all didn't need to do it but I am very happy. Thank you, all of you. As for your gifts.... a-ahem, how should I open them....?" you said with a blush and they smirked at your question.
You then felt a pair of arms wrap around your neck and were soon pulled to the side by Sumire who hurriedly kissed you. Garofano chuckled at her colleague's impatient action, but she knew deep down she was equally impatient. As soon as Sumire let you go, Garofano pulled you to her side by your collar and kissed you next, pressing her lips deeply with yours.
"Ah, how unruly of you three to steal kisses from her before us~" Vautour said while stepping closer.
You realized all of them had stepped closer to you and were squeezing you in the center, your face turned red at their close proximity.
"S-So, what are we going to d— mmph!~"
Your words were blocked by Chelsea who kissed you next, swiftly moving in and closing the gap.
"Don't forget you are still my sugar baby~" she whispered against your lips.
"If that's the case...." Chameleon said and pulled you out of Chelsea's hold. Her hand cupped your face before she moved close to ghost your lips, "....You are also my toy, I'm not going to stop our little games~". She then kissed you, pressing herself against you.
You were already feeling overwhelmed and embarrassed by the continuous kisses, but you knew more awaited. Cabernet was next to pull you towards her. She embraced you as if swallowing you, wrapping herself around you sensually while kissing you.
"Mmm, your taste is always addicting.... Let me have more, darling~"
"That will have to wait. Come here, my partner~" Eirene beckoned you with her finger. You had merely taken a few steps towards her when she suddenly embraced you before kissing you passionately.
"Just to be clear, the Quinn is still not included in this relationship. You have more ways to go before you can inherit it beside me~"
Your mind plunged in a daze. You didn't even drink any alcohol but felt dizzy as things continued, perhaps it was the feeling of being lovestruck. As soon as Eirene released you, you were pulled away once again but pinned to the wall this time with your wrists held out to the sides. The action and touch of the person was familiar, and you were indeed correct when the person came in front of you to occupy all your senses with her deep, hypnotizing presence.
"V-Vautour...." you merely whispered her name, a small smile growing on her lips.
"A very interesting place you brought me to.... I'm willing to rest my wings here and make it my nest~"
Vautour Bleu husked then drew close to kiss you. Her kiss was gentler and slower than others, but conveyed the same kind of feelings. She stepped away before you even realized the sensation was gone. A hand grabbed your wrist and you were pulled again, this time into a dance position. Lady Pearl was your partner, her right hand resting on your shoulder while her left joined your right.
"You never fail to surprise me.... Oh, this reverie is enchanting and I wish to dance with you till the world goes up in flames~"
She came close to kiss you too, a simple yet frenzied kiss that showed her desire for you. Just when you thought it was over, you remebered someone important was left.
"Enjoying the attention, rookie?~" Langley spoke from behind. You were about to turn around to face her but she didn't let you as she embraced you from the back, her right hand cupping your jaw.
"....You were the one who planned this, right?"
Langley didn't reply and you couldn't see her expression either. She simply turned your face towards herself and leaned down to kiss you.
"Some truths are better left unsaid, rookie~"
As you stood in Langley's secure hold, rest of the Sinners grouped around you again and were gazing at you with hooded eyes.
"S-So, what now....?" you nervously asked them, feeling unsure of the thoughts swirling in your mind.
"You should unravel your gifts now~" Cabernet spoke while guiding your hand towards her breast. Intense blush occupied your face at the soft sensation of her breast in your palm, feelings of arousal rising in you.
Another person guided your other hand towards themselves, making you grasp a piece of clothing covering their chest.
"Remove it, Chief. Your gift is waiting~" Bai Yi probed while holding out the string of her bra that was a simple tug away from being undone.
"This is going to take too much time if we go one by one~" Chameleon mused, her eyes glinting with lust and you knew she was thinking something mischievous.
"Well.... who says we need to go one by one?~" Vautour added, "I'm sure our beloved Chief would prefer to have all gifts at once~"
The suggestion was surprising but nobody denied it; they were all too eager to be with you, after all.
In the next few moments, shuffling of clothes filled the room as you undressed them. You pulled Bai Yi's bra string first and freed her breasts then slipped down Cabernet's gown and exposed half of her body before moving to Chameleon to unzip her skirt. They continued removing rest of their clothes while you moved to Eirene to open her dress, followed by stripping down Vautour and Pearl. Garofano had removed most of her clothes and only left the gown hanging for you to slip off, same with Sumire who was waiting for you to slide off her kimono. Last was Langley who patiently waited for her turn by removing her hat and tie, gesturing you to unbutton her shirt.
You watched in a daze as the naked bodies of the women around you came in view for you to feast on. You couldn't take your eyes off of them and felt arousal pool between your thighs already. Fantasies of flushed skin flooded your mind and left you senseless. You were numbed to the possibilities which sinfully awaited you, your body craved them but you were lost before hungry wolves, uncertain where to start. Cabernet's scarlet hair swept over the curve of her ass, and Vautour's pristine waist narrowed neatly into round hips.
You hid your eyes from the provoking sight but delighted in the sight of Pearl's smiling lips and noting the fullness of Chameleon's perfect breasts. There was nowhere to run, you were surrounded by unblemished soft skin and seductive gazes- each one all too eager to devour you whole. In the midst of such a marvelous scenery, you stood alone like a lone traveller, still clad in your uniform. By the time all of them were undressed, they were already focused on you.
"A-Ah, I will undress myself—!" you stuttered and started unbuttoning your shirt as fast as possible, but the women were faster and already had their hands on you.
"Leave it to us, Chief~" Sumire purred.
You felt all of them pull from different sides, making you anxious that the fabric would rip apart.
"Don't worry, Chief. I'll fix them later~" Garofano reassured.
As if using that as a signal, they applied for force and the sound of ripping rung in your ear as they actually tore away your shirt. Some of the buttons flew off as it was pulled from both sides then tossed away in the void. You couldn't help but feel shy and cover yourself as they gazed at your naked form, even though all of them had seen you this way plenty of times before.
"Ahh, Chief.... how delectable you look.... I can barely hold myself back anymore~" Cabernet moaned while sliding her hand down your neck, feeling up your skin. You were then shoved on the bed which was certainly not big enough for all of them, but perhaps they didn't care of the space at all. More hands caressed your pants and before you knew it, they were pulled off making you completely bare now. Cabernet was first to climb up and straddle you, her tongue lolling out as waiting to devour you.
"Now, wait a minute. What gives you the right to go first, Franc?" Eirene scolded and climbed up as well, straddling you beside Cabernet.
"Hmm, I don't need anyone's permission. Chief can't wait to have me, isn't that right, Chief?~"
Cabernet licked her lips and traced her thumb over yours.
"I don't recall her saying anything of that sort. She's my partner first, it's only right for me to start." Eirene countered.
"What makes you both think I'll give my sugar baby so easily? She only deserves to have me first." Chelsea added while climbing up and sitting on Cabernet's other side. The three of them surrounded you from the front completely, leaving no space at all except the back.
"Tsk tsk, if the three of you are so busy bickering, I suppose I'll have my share first~" Bai Yi spoke and swiftly moved behind you, wrapping her arms around your neck and kissing your shoulder.
You heard the bed creak as someone else climbed up and it was none other than Chameleon crawling to sit behind you as well. Her fingers grazed your nape and she leaned to nibble your left ear, making you softly gasp in return.
"Hehe, nobody knows her body the way I do. It's only appropriate for me to start first~"
"That's not necessarily the case. We have spent lot of time exploring each other's bodies, haven't we, honey?~" Lady Pearl cooed and squeezed in as well. You were surrounded by all sides now and there was no more space, but you couldn't ignore the other women who were looking at you in anticipating and waiting for their turn.
"L-Let's go one by one. I don't care who is first, I don't want any of you to feel unsatisfied...." you suggested.
Their eyes hooded with lust at your words, an unrestrained urge to devour you growing in them.
"Oh, Chief.... you are always so kind.... How do you expect us to hold in our desires if you say things like that?~" Garofano said in a singsong tone, her face flushed red.
"Indeed.... you make it so hard to satiate my hunger...." Cabernet moaned and finally drove forward to kiss your neck. Her action prompted others to also move in and kiss you on different parts- Eirene and Chelsea kissed along your chest, Chameleon and Bai Yi planted kisses on your face and ears, Lady Pearl tilted your head back and captured your lips while Vautour Bleu and Langley kissed along your arms. Garofano and Sumire wasted no time to kiss down your thighs, even making some bite marks on your flesh.
The sensations were overwhelming as you drowned in kisses and nips. Each of them felt as passionate and needy as the other, a sign of their desperation to mark you as theirs. Small moans and gasps left you lips at the various touches; Cabernet was licking up your neck like a starved puppy, Eirene and Chelsea played with your breasts while kissing over them, Bai Yi and Chameleon bit down and sucked on your upper back, Lady Pearl covered your face with kisses before biting on your nape, Vautour was sensually licking and sucking your finger while Langley trailed kisses up and down your hand.
"A-Ah.... wait.... I can't...." you moaned in pleasure, recoiling from all sides but being held back by Bai Yi, Chameleon and Lady Pearl behind you.
"Chief... you are so sweet... mmh~" Cabernet whispered against your skin.
"Just give yourselves to us~" Chameleon husked in your ear.
As the barrage of kisses and bites continued on your body, you suddenly heard the sound of fireworks going off outside. Everyone stopped for a moment to gaze upon the sparkling sight until looking back at you.
"Happy New Year, Chief~"
They said in unison, and you finally realized the extent of their surprise. Entering the new year like this wasn't bad, you thought....
Throughout the night, only the sweetest of moans and whimpers echoed in your ears, and only the most beautiful faces teeming in pleasure occupied your sight.

Hello, I am now in deep for Path to Nowhere that I ended up writing a fic. An idea popped up in my head of having Coquelic & L.L interracting. As it won't leave me alone, I wrote it down.
Summary: LL's pet dog, Cabbage, slipped away in the night. So, the Sinner went out to find him. Journeying through the MBCC's hallway, she met someone else alongside the puppy. Little did she know that the encounter would lead to bathing with the Garden's Mentor.

Baby Steps
Notes: Spoiler to LL’s interrogation. Recommend to read LL’s interrogation/backstory before reading this. Minor spoiler to Flora Unfurl. This is my first fic for Path to Nowhere. The game ticks so many boxes for me that it’s now my favorite gacha.
With careful measured steps, the young woman treaded the hallway. Water dripped from the tips of her long blue hair and the edges of her white dress. Droplets forming onto the floor. Body brought low, head forward, and eyes focused. People would think she was a rookie agent from the 9th Agency.
Cabbage slipped away moments ago. After an instance of panic, LL made a decision. Splashing herself with hopefully enough water, she embarked on a mission to find the dog.
Luckily, the puppy left behind a trail of little paw prints for her to follow. All thanks to her bathroom, which was constantly wet. She prayed he didn't disturb anybody this late at night. Receiving complaints would be dreadful after she promised to take care of him.
She could now hear his steps. Those signature tiny patters and the little clang from the experimental prosthetic. Cabbage was near. She continued her pace in the direction until she saw the little creature with someone.
Anxiety kicked. LL immediately hid behind one of the large pots of red flowers lining the hallway. She peeked, trying to discern the scene. The person was crouching. Cabbage seemed to be reaching for something behind them.
"No, this is not for you. It's for Mentor," a young woman's voice. Cabbage whined.
"Sorry, I can't give this to you. But maybe, this will do?" She took something out from her pocket. Then, with her teeth, rip the wrapper apart.
Recognizing a treat, Cabbage jumped, tongue lolling out. He stopped a moment later and sat, his tail wagging. The change went unnoticed. "You can eat now, little guy," said the young woman, her hand offering him the food. Cabbage let a small yip and ate. His tiny tail continued swishing. "Good boy, someone trained you well huh?" she petted his head.
LL didn't recognize the person.  She’s 3 months in and her social circle didn't expand much. Chief was one of them, but busy schedule and constant kidnapping meant they didn’t hang out as much as she wanted to. Luvia Ray and Serpent made light hearted small talk to her on the few occasions she managed to venture outside. As much as she wanted to talk more, her condition didn’t allow her to be out of the tub for long. So, she had to excuse herself every time. Eleven helped during her offline transition but they didn't continue talking after the social obligation was done. Or it was more that LL didn’t know what to say to the radio personality beyond that.  It was nice of her to lend the device though and LL loves her show, the soothing voice never failed in helping her sleep. There’s Shrooma too. She was most comfortable talking with the little girl as they always met virtually. However, her curfew and school meant limited hours. From their conversations (or Shrooma’s rant), being a kid sounded tough. LL enjoyed listening to her regardless, imagining herself in situations she never got.
Getting to know other Sinners had been a challenge. Her social anxiety and disability were a sure recipe for loneliness. Five in 3 months out of 100+ Sinners currently contained within MBCC was an abysmal achievement. From the five, there’s two she could confidently call her friends. Wait. Scratch that. Maybe just one. With most of her time trapped in a tub, her version of getting to know, was reading Sinners' files from the Bureau's database.
Mentor. Mentor. Which file was-
"How long are you gonna hide there?"
LL jolted. Her head peeked out before diving back behind the flower pot.
"Hey, I know you're there," the voice got closer until it's beside her. "Is this dog yours?" The little dog trailed behind the person's feet.
"Cabbage!" At this, the dog ran towards LL. Picking him up eye level, LL's face fell victim to his licks. She pulled away, staring at him sternly, "Don't run off like that again, Cabbage. It's late and we don't want to disturb our neighbours. Now, say sorry to the nice lady," she placed Cabbage back to the floor then looked up at the young woman.
She wore multiple braids; bangs covering her left eye. The lower half of the hair is pinkish red while the upper stays natural black. Earrings decorated both ears. Her sleeveless crop top was adorned with a red bra. Flower tattoo visible on her hip. The slitted uneven skirt laid bare to the expanse of her right leg, if not for the fishnet stockings providing some kind of cover. The feet protected by a comfortable studded dress shoe. Tough yet elegant were the impression LL thought of.
Cabbage walked towards the black cladded woman. He stopped by her foot, his tiny face pressed against her leg. Then, with all the cuteness he could muster, he looked up with his sad puppy eyes. Her lips curled into a smile.
"No worries. He was very nice and friendly. I wouldn't mind playing with him again!" She glanced at the puppy before shifting her attention towards LL, "Don't think I've seen you before."
"Oh sorry! I'm LL," she offered her hand.
"Thistle," she replied, shaking it.
"Like the flower?" LL asked aloud.
"Yes, like the flower."
LL cringed at herself. Whatever was that?? Why didn't she thank her for Cabbage? Right, thank her. She should thank-
"I should go, Mentor's waiting for me,” their hands separated. “Nice meeting you, LL. Maybe next time, I can bring my dog too! Night!" Waving goodbye, Thistle walked away.
LL saw her leave. Not wanting to miss her chance, she rose and shouted, "Wait!"
But what came was a cry. She felt pain, like someone struck her legs with hot iron. Her muscles seized. She fell to the ground like a stranded fish. No no no no! She screamed in her mind.
Jaw clenched. Eyes hazy with tears. The fire spread through the rest of her body. She couldn't move her limbs. Defenseless and alone, her mind raced to one thing. She was going to die. She was going to die. She was going to-
"Hey hey hey. Stay with me," the friendly voice came back but now laced with worry. "What do you need? Tell me."
LL gathered her strength to open her mouth. "Ba...a...th"
Thistle nodded. LL felt her body being lifted up then moved at a fast speed. They entered a fancily decorated room filled with plants. Passing a large canopy bed covered with flower petals, Thistle beelined to a door.
“Mentor, it's an emergency. A Sinner is in need of the bath, please can you let us in?"
The door opened, a woman with long black hair stood behind it. LL felt heat permeating from within. Thistle wasted no time. She entered and LL felt her body being lowered.
Warm water touched her skin. Slowly, the fire was extinguished. She found her limbs working again, the muscles relaxing. Pain ebbed away, replaced with exhaustion and relief. In between breaths, she croaked a thank you.
Thistle exhaled, "Thank goodness."
"Sorry," LL said weakly.
"Don't be. I'm glad you are alright."
"Yes yes. Crisis averted." A voice interrupted them.
Thistle froze. She turned her head. LL followed suit.
Two other women were in the room. One sitting on the edge of the pool. She wore a simple white shirt paired with a wine colored long skirt. Her wavy purple hair loosely tied low, cascading down her shoulder. Legs tucked underneath, comb in her hand, she was brushing the silver hair of the woman soaked in the water. Compared to her attendant, the other woman's skin was sickly pale, the veins visible under the light. Like beads of blood on top of snow, her piercing eyes were unnerving. And they were directed at Thistle. LL found herself becoming alert.
"Thistle, where is my present?" The pale woman asked sweetly.
"A-about that Mentor..."
"Yes?"
"itfell..."
"Can you repeat that?"
"It fell."
"So, go and pick it up."
"It’s... in the water."
A beat. They stared at each other.
"Then pick it up still! I don't want it to seep into the bath!" The Mentor shouted in disbelief.
Thistle dived immediately. Not long after, she climbed out of the water with a box in her hand. Her head bowed deep, pressed to the floor. "I'm so sorry, Mentor! I accept any punishment you deemed fit."
The woman sighed. She lifted her head, "Garofano, see if it needs salvaging." The woman behind her stood up, picked up the crumpled box, then left the room.
LL felt herself shrinking. She rarely received help after her parents left. But every time someone did, it just further reinforce how much of a burden she is. And now, the person that saved her was going to be punished. Why is she always so weak?
"It's my fault," she spoke up. Those reds drifted to her. "Please don't punish her. I... I can buy you a new one. Or I'll leave. Right now. If that's what you want. I'm really sorry."
The woman thought for a moment. "Will you accept the punishment in her stead?"
"I... Yes..." LL felt uneasy. What if she asked Chief to cut her internet time? She would miss that online auction event happening tomorrow! She needed that personal cutlery set belonging to Ms Cabernet. Calm down LL. Deep breath. It was an accident. Maybe she just wanted money.
"Take off your clothes and stay."
LL's mind grinded to a halt, "Sorry?"
"You heard me. It's bad manners to take a bath while dressed," she replied matter of factly.
LL blinked. Okay, this is... unexpected. Embarrassed but wishing to save Thistle from this predicament, she did what was told. The soaked dress now placed behind her.
Satisfied, the Mentor turned to Thistle who was still bowed, "Thistle, take that to dry. Then, go change."
"Yes, Mentor." Thistle stood and followed the set of orders. After that, she sat where Garofano was, continuing the task she left behind.
A knock. "Mentor, it's me."
"What's the matter?"
"A puppy is currently waiting in front of the bathroom door."
"Cabbage!" LL recalled the momentarily forgotten puppy. The Mentor looked at LL. Her eyes squinted just a little before she answered, "Come in, but don't let the dog in my water."
The black-haired woman entered, Cabbage in her arm. After closing the door, she walked towards LL. The long wide sleeves of her lilac sabrina dress cascade on each of her sides, flowing gracefully as she moved. The wide black belt around her waist accentuated her already long legs. Sophisticated and refined, her steps were slow with purpose. She knelt beside LL, head bowed slightly in greeting. Her silky hair curtaining her face, past her ribbon collared neck; its length reaching onto the ground. Then, she placed the puppy by the edge of the pool, near his caretaker.
Cabbage licked LL on her cheek. "Don't worry, lil’ buddy. I'm fine, see? Now keep away from the water, alright?" LL assured him. Cabbage let a small bark.. He turned around, jumped to the other woman's thigh, and laid on top.
"Sumire will take good care of it," the Mentor spoke.
"Oh that’s..." LL looked back. She immediately shifted her gaze, face heating up. Realization struck. The woman was also in a state of undress.
She had seen nudity. The internet was full of that. However, a moving image or virtual reality had a sense of distance. And that’s the scope LL was familiar with. Experiencing it with someone else offline was a different matter entirely. The situation just made her more self-aware where to place her sight. "I... uh... um... thank you," she finished abruptly.
LL kept her head away from the Mentor. From her peripheral vision, she saw those scarlet eyes burning her side. She shifted her arms around, trying to shield herself. Her body submerging bit by bit.
"Relax," a whisper. Sumire was looking at her softly, Cabbage already asleep on her lap. "We have no intention in killing you."
Kill? Where did that come from?
"That's...not what I’m worried about."
"Then why so skittish girl?" The Mentor chimed.
"I...um.... " She stole some glances towards the woman, blushing. ".... inexperienced?"
Laughter burst free from the Mentor. Chest heaving, mouth opened wide. The sound reverberated in the chamber, echoing throughout. It lasted for a minute until it gradually came to a stop. She wiped the corner of her eye with a finger. Her eyelids opened delicately. She looked at LL for a moment, grinning. Then, she stood up.
LL eyes widened. She twisted her head away so fast she heard a crack. Her pulse beat rapidly from the sudden exposure. Things just happened one after another so quickly that her heart felt like it's going to pop.
Suddenly, she felt a caress on the side of her jaw, applying enough force urging her to turn. Her sight immediately landed on the plains of toned stomach, a small scar crowning the navel. The Mentor’s petite body towered over her, arms pillared on each side confining her in. Realizing what had happened, LL gathered all her willpower to instantly shift her focus to the woman’s face.
The silver haired woman smiled knowingly.
"You can look. I know I am irresistible," her red eyes gleamed.
"Who knows, maybe next time…" she licked her upper lip, showing sharp canines.
"I’ll let you touch them," she purred to her prey’s ear.
LL felt her body temperature rose exponentially. She blue screened, her brain overheating by the seductive force inflicted on her by this unearthly beautiful woman. Face flushed to ear tips, mouth agape, she was unresponsive.
"Mentor, please don't tease her," Thistle's voice came from behind.
The Mentor backed away, cackling, "I can't help it, she's so adorable! Reminded me of my little Thistle back then."
"No, I wasn't!" Thistle exclaimed.
The Mentor sank back at her spot.
"Ah yes, all the things in that bath seemed so interesting to you. Eyes darting from one decoration to the next." She put the back of her hand on her forehead, sighing   dramatically, "I felt so lonely waiting for you to start lavishing my skin! If not for Sumire, I would’ve wilted from the lack of attention."
"Meentooor!" Thistle's face went red.
A giggle. LL tried to stop herself but was too late. The sound had slipped after she witnessed the exchange. She shut her mouth immediately, afraid of offending anyone.
"Now, now, don't hold back. Laugh your heart away,” The Mentor gestured towards the room. “After all, flowers grow best around them."
LL studied her surroundings. Flowers of different colors have bloomed beautifully. Red, white, yellow, purple. The walls were covered in them. The petals decorated the surface of the pool when they fell. Ripples expanding from the touch. Combined with the wood panelling surrounding the edges, it’s reminiscent of a framed painting exhibited in an art gallery.
The warmth of the water. The tranquil undulation of its surface. The breathing of others. They felt alien.
To her, a bath is a necessity. It's a constant reminder of her disability. Her relief and pain. Her cage. Connections rust and break in it.
But here, she uncovered something. Sumire was gently petting the sleeping Cabbage. Her face, serene and calm. Thistle focused at work. Hands deftly handling the silver hair laid out in front of her. The Mentor's eyes closed, enjoying the sensation. The space fell into a comfortable silence. She felt peaceful. Like waves caressing the sand, it alleviates the ache within her heart.
"This is.... nice," LL broke the silence, surprising herself.
"Isn't it?" The Mentor replied. "It's nothing compared to what we had but, it's adequate."
"I just never..." LL’s mind wandered to her apartment. Her parents. The letter. "It’s... been a while since I had company."
The Mentor tilted her head, eyes opening slightly.
"I mean..." she let out a weak laugh. "Who would want to be stuck with me?"
LL's doubt and fear were out. A question compounded by years of trauma and oozing with self-hatred had cracked the atmosphere in the room. She silently cursed herself for ruining it.
"Flowers are beautiful. Many things in nature gathered around them," LL recognized the owner of the voice, she looked across. "Among them, those that seek harm. Parasites, for one," the Mentor glanced sideways, as if recalling something.
"They are dangerous when left be. Consuming life, little by little by little. Until there is nothing left. Then, they move to another. That is why it's important to deal with them quick." Her voice, light and decisive.
"However, there are those that help.” her expression softened. “Who diligently and attentively nurtured the flowers with patience. Rain or shine." She lifted her hand, a red flower, similar to the ones planted along the hallway, sprouted out of the open palm.
She set the blossom on the water. It floated and drifted away, charting the water’s surface, bumping to other petals along the way. She then looked at LL in the eyes, giving full attention, "You are in a richer soil now so choose well. When you see what you want, remember to grab it with your own two hands."
LL took a moment to absorb the words. The Mentor smiled. She stood up again which prompted LL to turn her head away in reflex. She heard a small laugh before the Mentor spoke, "Thistle, Sumire, escort our guest and her pet back." Footsteps, then the sound of an open door, "Pleasure to meet you, little fish."
-
LL leaned inside her bathtub. Her eyes reading the message she had typed on the terminal. It was only one sentence. A question. Yet, it took her the better part of the day arguing with herself whether the content was good enough or not.
It had been a week since then. Within that week, LL participated in the online auction, wondered if what happened was a fever dream, and then did her research. Finding all the info she needed wasn’t hard. The hard part was reading, compiling, and verifying them. Those were, unfortunately, not covered by her power.
The Garden, an all-women assassination group. Their involvement was extensive. The most notorious happened almost a year ago, that being The FAC serial killings and kidnapping of their director. All the handiwork of one individual. The Garden's current leader: the Mentor, Coquelic.
Fearsome, powerful, intimidating, selfish, hedonistic. These descriptions seemed fitting for the alluring woman. Yet in that bath, she witnessed a contradiction.
Is that why the Garden members followed her still? Why they were willing to feed into her selfishness? A yip snapped LL’s thought. She chuckled, “Okay, Cabbage, I’m doing it.” She needed to finish this task, lest she fell to the reprimand of the little puppy for the second time. It should have been done days ago but she set an important treatment for herself after she was outbid, it's called shopping.
A ritual of self-encouragement later, she checked her terminal for the fifth time. Still the same message. Searching through her contact, she inserted several names intended to be the recipients. Then, she reread the message for the sixth time. All good. LL took a deep breath. And press send.
-
"That was surprising. What you did the other day, Mentor," Garofano expressed.
"Our Thistle was the one who asked. I couldn't say no, could I?" she replied.
"But you let a stranger stay in the bath."
"I did let strangers stay before."
"Those were marks."
"Yes, seeing their face twisted into horror was so delectable."
"The scrubbing wasn't."
"I did reward all of you for a job well done, didn't I?" Coquelic retort with a faux surprise. Her fingers curled around her cup, eyes narrowed in distaste, "My tea is cold."
"Of course, Mentor." Garofano took the cup, emptying its content to the teapot. She then placed the pot on a mini stove. Coquelic watched, one arm supporting her head.
“Where’s Thistle?” asked Coquelic.
"She mentioned a gathering," Garofano answered, her focus on the thermometer she just inserted.
They were in Coquelic’s room. There was a setup with a round table and 5 chairs surrounding it. Cafeteria exists in the Bureau, but it was a public space and the style was uninspired. Here, Coquelic and her flowers made it to resemble a small replica of the Garden. A perfect place for a gathering of ex-assassins. At the moment, only two chairs were filled.
"Mentor,” the purple haired woman broke the silence. “If you miss her, you should let her know."
"I don't know what you are talking about," came a nonchalant reply.
The thermometer beeped. Garofano watched the numbers increase on the display. When it reached a certain point, she turned the fire off. After preparing the cup to be sufficiently warm, she poured the tea and served it to Coquelic.
Coquelic lifted the cup. The temperature was exactly how she preferred. Garofano did a wonderful job preparing the present Thistle bought for her. The salvaging was surprisingly minimal too. Thistle must’ve requested additional layering inside.
Fragrant aroma wafted to her nose. She sighed in satisfaction and sipped. The liquid warming her body.
"Garofano."
"Yes, Mentor?"
Coquelic set the cup down to its saucer. Face reflected on the surface; she stilled for a moment. "Tell Thistle to come by tomorrow. Her tea brewing still needs work." She paused, "She could even bring that axe wielding barbarian if she wanted."
Garofano smiled, "Of course, Mentor. I'll let her know."
-
The bar reached 100%. Photos appeared on the display. LL looked at each of them before stopping on one. She was in a portable pool along with five others.
Thistle was hugging a dog. It’s fur wet, tongue hanging out. Months ago, she found it in the Bureau injured. She was currently taking care of it until the wound fully healed. Serpent had a brown snake around her shoulder. She wanted a brightly colored one but was rejected by administration because their venoms were a danger to others. She relented after some persuasion from the Chief. Shrooma held a terrarium of mushrooms. Her lecture of why they’re considered pets still made LL laugh even now. Luvia Ray and Eleven didn’t own any pets. That is why, Manty was positioned between them so they wouldn’t feel left out when the picture was taken. Then there was her, right in the centre. In her arms, was Cabbage, the little pup that started everything. All of their expressions gave evidence to all the fun they had that day.
Ping! The notification stole LL’s attention. A message appeared in the group chat, a cute sticker accompanying it. Replies bubbled one by one, coalescing into a conversation. LL hovered her fingers over the keys. She smiled. The tub doesn’t feel as small anymore.
-
End notes:
Thank you so much for reading this fic! The idea of having these two interacting won’t leave my head so I got to do my due diligence. More content of Coquelic is never wrong.
I love Coquelic. She lives rent free in my head. I was analyzing her character like an unpaid researcher until an idea popped up. Coco loves taking a bath and you know who is always in the bath? LL.
LL has an interesting backstory that got revealed in the last chapter of Into the Blue. And, it also got locked away behind interrogation. Which honestly, I think was quite a shame. But it's gacha. I get it.
So, I'm putting the two of them in the same bath. As Coco is THE Mother of all time (or grandma), I thought LL could hear her wisdom so she can experience being guided and/or teased by a maternal figure in a way. The wisdom being related to LL’s situation.
I headcanon LL’s social training arc took longer. Because even though the interrogation did give a line about LL being more outgoing like her online persona, the duration it took wasn’t exactly mentioned. Let’s just say this moment happened after her offline transition was complete. So, talking directly is alright but she still has problems with making friends. Hopefully Coco’s interaction with LL feels believable as it's set up to be a push for LL.
Fun fact! My first impression of Coquelic was: I don't like her, such a fan service character. I read Flora Unfurl fully expecting to like Shalom cos lots of people sang praises for her. But Coquelic stole the show instead. This caused me to roll for her. Then, I read her interrogations. I cried and now, she is my favorite character. So, big round of applause to the writer (Dumpling Duck/Guo Tie Lao Shi). You changed me as a person.
