I am okay with Disney movies. They’re not my favourite, but I had to sit through some of them when I watched Alice. The whole point of a musical is that they sing to express themselves verbally since not everyone can see their face. Why do you need to do that in a medium where you can have a close up of a face? We know what she’s feeling in rapunzel, god damnit. She can just say “oh man I really want to see these weird floating lights.”
