According to you, what would be the Riddles most and least likely to accept a sugar mommy/daddy? God, it's two in the morning in my country, why do I think it's a good idea to ask something at this time...

Unburied - You wanna give him free money? Sure, you're loss <3. He sees this less as a degradation of his character and more as a strategic move on his part. The openly giving affection part is just a bonus.

ZY - He got confused and thought HE was becoming the sugar daddy. Once he realizes this, he's absolutely livid that you would think he needs anyone's help in terms of money, affection, etc. HE's the biggest sugar daddy ever! or he would be...if someone wanted him to be.

Dano - This is a true war in his mind. On the one hand, he can't stand the thought of being the pawn of someone with expendable wealth. On the other hand, what better way to infiltrate high society to better bring about its demise. He might change his mind on the demise part if you're super nice, but probably not.

YJ - Yes, of course he'll be a sugar baby. Please take care of him. Please hug him and kiss him. He doesn't even care about the money part. He just wants someone to tell him how sweet he is and that they love him.

Gotham - It would have to be a very special person, but I do think he could be a sugar baby. Someone who truly has his best interests at heart and deeply cares for his well-being. And he'd like to have an allowance for his various criminal hobbies.

BTAA - Let him think about it. No. He doesn't need your money and he doesn't need your smooches. He gets plenty of both on account of his outstanding personality and brain. That's what he tells himself at least.

Arkham - Also confused as to what is happening, except he thinks you're just an investor dedicated to the success of his projects. Admittedly, he thought the requests for affection a little strange, but he'll take free money any day. You might have to sit him down and explain what's happening. Be prepared for a tantrum.

BTAS - Can you two be co-sugar mommy/daddy's? He'd like to spoil you as well, if you don't mind? Goodness knows he has enough money for that kind of lifestyle. The two of you might just end up the richest and most extravagant people in Gotham. A true power couple.

Telltale - This is a joke, surely. You didn't actually believe he'd subjugate himself to the humiliation of financial dependency in exchange for his affections? Yeah, I wouldn't even try it with this one. You might not see the light of another day.

i think he has a young-sounding voice, like even as he gets older his voice doesn't really give away how old he is

he'll, like, use a lot of, um, filler words? and, ya know, sort of just speak in a way that, like, really makes you question if he knows what the fuck he's saying.

the only point of comparison i can think of is ira glass, though his tone is a little more fox leaning

real talk, he sounds kind of faggy lol

he's kind of self-conscious of his voice, so when he does become fox, he makes a lot of changes to the way he speaks so that it's more practiced and considered. obviously slips up when he has the chance to though <3

very breathy sounding, which goes with slow quiet of it

they have to...um, really annunciate to put...tone and meaning behind their voiceee, otherwise they kind of just...sound...a little detached...a little spacy...yeah...okay...

they sound like they're not listening to anything anyone is saying, and the fact they look so out of it most of the time (even without the drugs, their gaze is super spacy) doesn't help either

like almost the gentle, offputting kind of quiet of paul dano in prisoners but. lower.

they um and er a lot too, like, um, yeah...okay, uh, for sure...

there's a lot of power behind their voice though. like, they make themselves seem gentler and smaller most of the time, but in the case of being angry, it can really climb up in volume and intention

so you better listen to them when they're being nice and quiet...

obviously has a noticeable german accent, albeit not a super thick one. it's there.

doesn't have the best grip on english slang and does the bilingual thing where he'll be like "ah...what is the word for-" when he's having a scatterbrained moment

doesn't um or er that much though, he'll confidently say the wrong thing and get corrected on it (or not)

he'll talk in a way that is really really direct, but, ahm, kind of lilt towards the end, making everything sound like a question? and then, ah, spreche-SPEAK very knowingly, right?

a pretty medium-range voice, not super low or that demanding of attention in his regular tone. people want to listen to him because he's a friendly guy!

kind of like the original singer of oomph! hehehehe, pretty regular tone, definitely a fast talker too

laughs a lot <3 has a nice warm chuckle when he's in polite company, and he's like the best person to laugh at bad jokes

very good at keeping up appearances <333 he's a manipulative faker who looks and sounds totally normal in his rich neighborhood

and obviously can push his voice down to a growled threat or a shout, which makes his accent sound a lot thicker <3

- Considering the canon (that I ignore mostly because it's done so poorly) that hes got a split personality he's talked to, it probably wouldn't go well? Lots of animosity. Like a dog growling at its reflection.

- IGNORING THAT THOUGH. He'd start quizzing him and giving him riddles since this is obviously a fake. A trick someone is playing on him.

- if he found out it was real, he'd be super apologetic and calling him Mr.

- oh god does that mean there's actors for penguin and zsasz as well? They must be more pleasant than the on screen counterparts, at least.

60s

- Between Edward's riddles and puns and Mr. Gorshins stand up, the crime fighting duo is going to be seeing double! But this isn't about them.

- given this riddler is kind of a cinemaphile, there would be so many acting questions. Favorite movie? Who is the most famous person he's worked with (besides him, obviously)? He's quite good at acting and impressions himself, as Frank Gorshin would already know.

Zero year

- Get fucked, Edward, you have no VA or actor. That will however not stop him from harassing the writer and artist. His plan was failproof! How did this GUY beat him? And he can't just read who Batman is because then it'll be like he couldn't figure it out on his own. Ugh!

- He is going to red marker a copy of Zero Year showing every unflattering panel. See that expression where it looks like he has a double chin? That has to go, fellas!

- He tells them to do a better job next time. Because there WILL be a next time. He's simply the best riddler there could be! And no, not with the mohawk, get that out of here.

BTAS

- Civilized conversation after a brief "How strange, you can imitate me- OH-" Well, perhaps you should have pushed for more riddler episodes. His brilliant mind should be on display after all!

- It should only make sense that his voice actor should be so skilled with a long variety of credits. Perhaps he has this skill as well and he didn't even realize it!

- German is a surprising accent he didn't know he could do. That will definitely come into play at a later date if he needs to hide his voice.

- He can't handle this. The realization he's just pixels in programming- He's so much GRANDER than this! Yes, yes, you've done a great job, whatever, he has much more concerning things to deal with. He'll spare you, Wally, simply because without you his voice wouldn't be.

- this ultimately turns into him becoming the nastiest virus that figures out how to spread to any device that can access wifi. In this new world, there's nothing he can't see or control...

There aren’t any Riddlers I actually HC as being Trans, nor are any of mine trans, but If I were to list any Riddler for fun, I’d say Lego Riddler. Specifically from the Lego Batman Movie. I could see if people were to HC him FtM, or just him not going by anything at all. I don’t think that fella should be bound by any means. Free him from labels. Nonbinary Lego Riddler.

❓ Edward LOVES cuddles. He's pretty touch starved, mostly due to his habit of isolating himself. Whenever he can, he wraps his arms around you in a loving embrace, allowing himself to relax for once.

❓ Dates with Edward usually involve going to the diner near his place. Around Autumn, they serve pumpkin pie there, which is his favorite. If your first time going there is with him, he would be overjoyed and insist you try some of his favorite meals and drinks, there! He'd be like a little kid rambling about his favorite superheroes.

❓ He'd prefer to visit your home than for you to visit his. He doesn't want you to learn about his... activities... and his place is a mess, anyways. So, whenever he visits you, he enjoys just relaxing on your couch, listening to music, and watching television. He also likes to talk about his stream followers, leaving out the context of what he streams and such. The most he'll say is that he considers himself a "political streamer".

❓ He loves to show you tips and tricks he has learned. Be it from things his followers have told him in the stream's chat, to things he finds online. As such, the "tips and tricks" can range from a better way to cook a hotdog, to "the most effective way to tie a rope and ensure that the person tied up cannot escape". He tends to give you a bit of whiplash with this.

❓ He will talk about you to his followers. He makes sure to leave out your name and other identifying information, but talks about little things you do that he likes. From the way you talk to him, how kind you are, how you talk about your interests... a lot of what he likes revolves around the way you talk, for some reason. He isn't used to social interaction, and what little he gets tends to be negative, so when you talk to and about him so kindly his heart flutters. His chat tends to go absolutely insane when he talks about you, sending in donations in order to make sure he has enough money to buy you gifts and such. His chat sees you and him as a power couple, to be honest, despite never seeing you or knowing who you are outside of Edward's rants. They'll send in like $100 with a message saying "GO KING! Buy your (king/queen/royal spouse) something fitting for the absolute angel they are! Oh, and here's some tips on detonators-"

❓ Speaking about gifts... he loves to give you things he thinks you will like. He buys you things like band albums, art supplies, and t-shirts. He believes that creativity is very important for a person, so he wants to see how you'll express yourself. If those things don't seem to work, he'll then default to more practical things, like cookware, cleaning supplies, puzzle books, and other types of... books. He believes books in general are practical things, especially ones about wordplay. Oh! He also sends you a bunch of cards, too! To be honest, if you somehow didn't figure out he was the Riddler before, you would figure it out pretty quickly once he sends you cards. They are very similar to the ones he sends Batman, minus the complicated puzzles, which would be replaced by riddles about love.

❓ He would like to hear you sing, if you are willing. He loves music in general, so hearing the person he loves most in the world singing anything at all will make him explode with glee! He'll kick his feet and wave his arms with joy, not knowing how else to show his happiness that you would allow him to listen to you singing. He knows that a lot of people seem to be anxious about their voices, so you letting him listen to you feels like a way of you showing that you truly do trust him.

Who's that most ticklish out of the Riddler's?

Unburied - So ticklish. Like a little baby. But he runs if you try to tickle him because it’s not very good for the whole brand thing he’s got going on. Hard to be a hardened criminal when you giggle if someone touches your sides.

ZY - He is ticklish but he’s got an unfortunate reflex: punching/kicking. Last time someone tried to tickle him, they ended up with a black eye. He was in fifth grade.

Dano - Scrunches up to escape the tickle. Again, it’s a natural reflex. Being ticklish is a sign of weakness and he is not weak! But if you do manage to unscrunch him, he rolls around in a fit of giggles.

YJ - At first attempt, it would seem that he is not at all ticklish. Sides, tummy, and neck get no response. However, a gentle brush of a hand on the bottom of his foot is enough to make him leap three feet in the air.

Gotham - Not ticklish. Has learned how to turn off that behavioral response. But if he sees it’s making you sad, he can get a chuckle going just for you.

BTAA - Very ticklish in his sides. You’ll get a couple of giggles out before he leaps away and threatens to throw you off a building if you try it again. Another who’s trying to keep a reputation going.

Arkham - Ticklish on his tummy and no where else. If you can manage to corner him and get the laughing fits going, he’ll sporadically swap between giggling and screaming in your face about how unprofessional this all is.

BTAS - A little ticklish but not too severely. Honestly, having someone tickle him feels good in a way? Like a muted tingling along the arm, something akin to white noise, that eventually dulls the senses.

Telltale - Questionable, because it has been over a decade since someone has gotten close enough to try and longer still since someone has made an attempt. Would you like to be the next to try?

firstly, I LOVE THAT YOU HAVE LETTERBOXD! I adore that app! I used to look through the lists during uni lectures that were boring to feel something hehe

secondly, that's exactly how I feel about jim carrey's riddler! i think people forget that the original batman series and the comics are meant to be fun and comic-y, and that it's okay to not take yourself so seriously all the time, so personally, i adore jim carrey and cory michael smith's riddlers with all my heart (undecided on paul dano)

thirdly, I HAD NEVER CONSIDERED THE GENDER ENVY HC AND I AM NOW OBSESSED WITH IT!?!?!?!?!?! you're so right and I love you for it ahhh, it makes me incredible happy that both the riddlers above have a "glow up" where they get to dress fancy and be the person they want to be instead of the repressed versions of themselves society has made them think they have to be (i'm jealous)

Tries his hardest to put himself out there, asking if they wanna go out to get a coffee or something like that but always saying the words "as friends"

He friendzones himself- regretting everything that he says

Doesn't seem to talk really- when he gets the chance to talk to y/n. Just loving the sound of their voice and wanting to talk to him in general.
