World Watercolour Month: 10. Buried
Paranormal Trio beach episode, lol.
so you'll see that my colours are getting less vibrant. I have a few things to blame. The first is: i am trying to use up paint so I can clean this palette and add a different medium, but keep picking subjects that need a lot of the colours i have only a little of. The second: it's VERY hot out. it's currently 36C and I have no air conditioning, meaning on one hand the paint dries much faster than I would like and on the other I don't have the patience to sit and paint so I try to get it over with as quickly as humanly possible so I can go lie down, hahaha. Things will be cooling off this weekend, thankfully.

Got a question for Drum to round out my camping trip themed asks! While dinosaurs aren't exactly paranormal, the current town of Drumheller does contain the hamlet and ghost town of Wayne. Have you ever brought Paula and Vulcan with you to check it out? For that matter, what's it like living by a ghost town? And what (if anything) does that do to the municipality representative that lived there?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
to be continued...?
(wahoo answered in less than a year hooray!)
We did pass by Wayne on our way into Drumheller but didn't stop, by that time we were so tired and ready to go home hahaha. As usual, Drumheller belongs to @zomsaurus (and who has dibs on designing Wayne too hahaha) (let us know when you go on your research trip :) )
Some more notes...
Tumblr media
Meta Stuff
this is kind of my feeling on what makes a personification exist. I think if a town's population was relocated or only exists in memory, their connection to our world starts to fade
(This is also why non-municipal personifications like nations would probably be a bit tougher and more resilient, to a point.)
(and I'm still concerned about something like Fort Walsh that was rebuilt as an educational tool as kind of a reanimated corpse? lol)
Wayne technically exists as part of Drumheller, like a microcosm of how Strathcona exists as part of Edmonton, so I think amalgamation is one way to cheat death also.
In Hetalia canon there has been one case where a micronation "gave up" and "went back to being a human", though I'm not sure that interpretation works with the way I do things. Interesting to think about, anyway!
A bit more on the Hetalia approach: Prussia is "retired" and it's suggested in this linked scan that he's slowly becoming increasingly mortal. Ancients like Rome will still appear in the dreams of their descendants as well.
the votes are in and the chat thinks Wayne should be half ghost like Danny Phantom
Some fun facts about Wayne
Last I heard, Wayne's population was 28 whole people! At its peak, it had about 2,500.
I think the Rosedeer Hotel / Last Chance Saloon is under new management now, but it's one of the big attractions. If you don't mind the shared washroom down the hall, perhaps the honeymoon suite is for you!
The saloon also has real bullet holes in the walls (framed), though they're from an incident in the 1970s rather than the 1910s
How is Wayne related to Red? Kid sibling? haha. Coal town origins, as is true of many ghost towns...
Waynestock is a big music festival/camping event in early September. It lasts 3 days and features about a hundred artists!
You might recognize Wayne in the movies. Shanghai Noon was partially filmed there!
Other notes...
I keep writing Drum as the "normie" or straight man of the gang even though next to anyone else he isn't normal at all, haha. He just is devoted to the scientific method, that's all! and also jesus
finally my knowledge of star trek comes through for me again on this blog B) remember, you can survive a shoot out at the OK Corral so long as you believe in yourself (though a mind meld doesn't hurt) :)

In the earliest days of radio, and through to the 1950s, Britain was kept amused by the great Liverpudlian comedian Robb Wilton. Paul McCartney recalls getting his autograph. John Lennon went through a phase of watching Wilton and others at the Empire after a day at art college. He was particularly taken, apparently, by Wilton’s classic discourse on The Day That War Broke Out (‘My missus says to me, Well, what are you going to do about it?’) It’s been claimed, though impossible to prove, that Wilton was the first to say you had to be a comedian to live in Liverpool. Yet he rather played down his accent - the time had not yet arrived to parade your Scouseness as a virtue in itself.
Wilton’s contemporary was Aigburth’s Tommy Handley, another radio legend, chiefly remembered for his wartime show ITMA (‘It’s That Man Again’) and the rash of catch-phrases he launched from it: ‘Can I do you now, sir?’ and ‘I don’t mind if I do’ and TTFN or ‘Ta-ta for now’. It was largely thanks to Handley’s show that non-Liverpudlians came to know the term Scouser: over the years it would replace ‘wacker’, which had in turn displaced ‘Dicky Sam’. His comedy had a deep streak of nonsense to it - he stands in ancestry to the Goons and Monty Python - which might be why John Lennon put him on the Sgt. Pepper sleeve. Upon his death he was given a national send-off at St Pauls Cathedral, where the Bishop of London pronounced: ‘The flame of his genius transmuted the copper of our common experience into the gold of exquisite foolery.’
Handley’s accomplice in that ‘exquisite foolery’ was Deryck Guyler, whose character Frisby Dyke was taken from the name of a Liverpool draper’s shop. Handley and Guyler eschewed the stage Lancastrian voice of Wilton and the others, preferring the greater levels of absurdity they could achieve with their Mersey accents: another of the catch-phrases, ‘Don’t forget the diver, sir’ was comprehensible only to those who’d watched a certain one-legged swimmer, at New Brighton, passing the hat around. Guyler himself became a mainstay of TV comedies, playing the genial copper PC Corky for Eric Sykes and the cantankerous caretaker, Potter, in Please Sir.
From deepest Toxteth, Arthur Askey was an early possessor of the Liverpool Institute desk inherited by Paul McCartney. The old comic had supposedly carved his name on it. ‘Big-hearted Arthur’ insinuated himself into the public mind via some catch-phrases of his own, notably the Liverpool tram-conductors’ ‘Aythangyew!’
(Liverpool - Wondrous Place by Paul Du Noyer, 2002)

The Bill - Series 1
This should have been a 12-episode series, however it was cut short to 11 by the industrial dispute between Thames and a technicians' union meaning only 11 were completed by the time it went to air. The final 12th episode was rewritten to become the final episode of series 2 instead (The Chief Supers Party)
The strike led to an alteration in the order of the series airing for everywhere in the UK that wasn't London. In the London 'Thames' offices, members of the management aired episodes 2 and 3 (A Friend In Need and Clutching At Straws) in their usual timeslot themselves after the technicians had walked out. However at the other ITV companies (Tyne Tees/Yorkshire etc), the technicians refused to play any Thames Television programmes so episodes 2 and 3 aired at the end of the series after The Sweet Smell Of Failure.
The 'station' was a former cigarette packing warehouse in Wapping on the corner of Pennington St (the cobbles in the credits) and Artichoke Hill. It was so small that the offices doubled as production offices. Using an actual building to film in; although rare in the 80s; rather than a set allowed a feel of realism because the cameras could follow actors out of the station and onto the street.
Karen England and Paul Page Hansen are the credits 'walking feet'. They appear as extras in the first series.
Jon Iles (Dashwood) and Tony Scannell (Roach) were only supposed to be in 2 episodes. The actors were so well-liked on set that they remained.
Larry Dann was only given the job as Peters the day before filming of series 1 began because the original actor kept forgetting his lines.
Robert Pugh refused to commit to a series so Galloway was recast and John Salthouse joined the cast.
Peter Ellis originally auditioned to be in CID but it was thought that he was too old. However, TPTB wanted to keep him on board so they cast him as Superintendent Brownlow.
Peter Dean's character, Sgt Wilding, was changed to Eric Richard's character, Sgt Cryer. In the time between the pilot and the series, Dean had joined EastEnders and couldn't commit to The Bill.
Taffy undergoes a complete name change from Dai Morgan to Francis Edwards. In Woodentop he gives his first name as 'Dai' which is Dafydd or David.
I know it's the 80's but it's jarring just how many are smoking and the amount of moustaches - and that's just the women!
They're still known as Uniform Oscar as they were in Woodentop.
Chris Ellison appears in 3 episodes (one this series and two the next) as 'Tommy Burnside' rather than his identical twin brother (!!) Frank as he becomes. Tommy is nothing like Frank, he's more a weedy pain in the arse.
Tumblr media
Funny Old Business: Cops And Robbers
Sgt Bob Cryer arrives at work at 6.25am to find a prisoner being loaded into an ambulance after an epileptic fit. Right from the off Bob is shown as warm and well respected. He greets everyone the same, be it CID officers or the cleaner or a secretary (both of whom he says hello to by name). Sgt Alec Peters explains that the station doctor passed the man off as drunk only when he was brought in by Reg and 'PC Burton'. The doctor could be in quite some hot water...
Jim is clearly more at ease now, however, it's not stated in canon how long has passed since Woodentop. Best guesstimates are approximately 1 to 2 months given Woodentop mentioned school holidays would start soon in the briefing and Bob says that the kids are about to return to school. Both Dave and June bring up the youth that Jim clipped round the ear, Viv calls him 'The New Boy', Jim still refers to Hendon exercises as his experience of riots and rough arrests and he is classed as a new face at a cafe uniform frequent when on the beat. Having said all this, Jim makes his first arrest in this episode so it may be even less time!
Jim and June sort of flirt over how much sugar Jim has in his tea. He's a thoroughbred don't you know 😉. Taffy tells JimJim that he reckons June rather fancies him. Jim is not impressed and tells Taffy off for being crude. He insists he doesn't fancy June, that she's still getting over being messed around by Dave and he'd never get involved with anyone from the job. (*cough*)
The series starts to set Taffy up as a bit of a grump from episode 1, a far cry from the "Cheeky Leeky" he was in Woodentop. He has good reason here though as the National Front has been given the go-ahead to march through Sun Hill which means all leave has now been cancelled until further notice. It was due to be June's first weekend off in months so she's doubly unimpressed at JimJim's reasoning that it's the price of democracy. Things have not improved at all between Dave and June. There is however another female PC (not just the unnamed extra Alec 'coorrrrr'ed' at) as Viv has arrived!
Roy has learned from his mistakes from Woodentop and is attending a uniform briefing. He finds it absolutely riveting.
Tumblr media
Roy tells uniform to keep an eye out for properties with new double glazing as CID believes they're being targeted in burglaries. He warns them not to touch anything but to remain on scene until CID arrives if they come across one. Bob and Roy have more of a jovial frenemy relationship than Jack and the old Roy did.
"Sometimes Roy, only sometimes, you can be almost human!" Bob is amused when he takes a burglary to Roy that matches the MO that he'd asked uniform to look out for. Roy actually thanks him - now there's a first! Reg takes a man through to see Roy. Later Reg complains to June that Bob is a nosy old git - oh the irony! 😂 "A good Sgt knows everything that goes on in his nick."
Three months of work are paying off for Roy - a team of the same lads from the same company carried out work replacing the windows and doors of a large number of recently burgled properties. The firms managing director tells Roy that the keys are taped to the new doors to avoid getting mixed up - they could easily be taken and made copies of and it would explain why there are no other signs of entry. They wait 4-6 months and then return to the property, letting themselves in by the front door.
Uncle Bob is not too happy to find Jim Jim and Taffy having a water fight in the men's loos after a messy arrest. "Bleedin' Woodentops." he sighs as he watches them go.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
June claims Bob won't let her and Viv patrol when the National Front are marching through Sun Hill, claiming that he's such an old mother hen sometimes (again - the irony!). Viv asks her what she thinks of Jim. She reckons he's a bit tasty but they're interrupted by a man reporting that he'd had his pockets picked before June can reply.
Dave is guarding the door of the burgled house, waiting for Roy to arrive. There's a kid who keeps asking them what they're doing. At first they ignore him but Dave tells him in such a quiet and indirect way that he's 'looking for fingerprints' it does make you wonder whether he's just a local kid they allowed to watch 😂 Especially when Roy literally lifts the kid up and moves him aside and they all ignore him for the rest of the scene.
DS Tommy Burnside appears for the first of his three appearances before he becomes DI Frank Burnside in series 4. There's no love lost at all between Tommy and Bob. Tommy insists he'll wait for Roy to return. Unfortunately, Jim's first arrest is a snout of Tommy's and he wants Roy to let him off. Bob tells him it's too late - he's already been nicked and charged. "That's what I like to see, Bob. Co-operation." "Bloody Superstars!"
Roy tells Tommy it's too late as his snout is already in the system. Tommy bluffs that his governor - an old acquaintance of Roy's - won't be happy. Roy pulls him up on it immediately and throws him out of the office. Tommy begs him for a favour and even says please. He explains he's due a result from the snout and the arrest compromises it. He promises they can have him back within a few days. Roy allows him to be released as long as he remains Sun Hill's body. He talks Bob into bailing him for a couple of days because 'he owes him one as does Jim. (In Woodentop this was Jack Wilding rather than Bob who wasn't in the episode). He tells him to bail him whilst 'inquiries are made about the property found in his possession'. "You've got all the answers."
Tumblr media
Uniform have been trying to catch a group of pickpocketers for quite some time and so far remain unlucky. Bob and Tom are shocked when a well-to-do man arrives having made a citizens arrest of another man who has badly bleeding fingers. The doctor is called for and it transpires that the prisoner from that morning has passed. The well-to-do man accuses the other of picking his pocket and shows the officers some fish hooks sewn into the lining of his jacket that the man had snagged his fingers on, making them bleed profusely.
Charles and the doctor are old friends and he tries to reassure him that it wasn't his fault. He tells the doctor that a few years ago a woman died because of his actions - or rather his inaction. He reminds him that they are human and that everyone makes mistakes and they just have to find a way to live with it. From what he understands 99% of doctors would have made the same diagnosis with the evidence at hand. The doctor blames himself, claiming it's unforgivable as he classifies it as outright neglect.
Outside in the car, Tommy shows more of a Frank reaction to his snout after he'd had to grovel and eat humble pie to get him bailed. The snout snivels that it won't happen again and is scared of him. What makes it worse for Tommy is that his snout was caught by "A bleedin' Woodentop who's still on probation!", telling him that it'd make him about as useful to him as a one-legged man in an arse-kicking contest." As they drive by Jim and Taffy, the snout sticks his fingers up at Jim, little knowing he'll be returned to Sun Hill by Tommy to be charged in a couple of days.

Duncan Lacroix stands in front of a statue with the Beatles' song playing in the background, seemingly unaware of what type of statue it is. 🙄
Tumblr media
This is the statue behind Duncan, Statue of Earl Roberts by Harry Bates, which is in Glasgow`s Kelvingrove Park, commemorates one of the most distinguished commanders of the British Empire, Field Marshal Lord Frederick Sleigh Roberts of Kandahar 1st Earl Roberts (1832 – 1914) and is an exact replica of the original which was unveiled in 1898 in Calcutta, India, to acknowledge his actions during the “Indian Rebellion,” 1857-1858 also known as the “Sepoy Mutiny”.
Tumblr media
Field Marshal Frederick Sleigh Roberts (30 September 1832 – 14 November 1914) VC KG KP GCB OM GCSI GCIE KStJ PC was one of Britain’s most successful military commanders of the 19th century. British Victorian-era general born in Kanpur (Cawnpore) India served much of his military career there. Kanpur became one of the most important commercial and military stations of British India.
He won important victories during the Second Afghan War and revitalised the British campaign in the Boer War. He rose to Major-General during the Afghan war, 1878-80, and Commander-in-Chief in India, 1885-93.
A Field Marshal is the highest rank in the British Army. The rank of Field Marshal is never awarded except to a General who has commanded an army in war.
Tumblr media
These are words from a recruiting speech given by Lord Roberts:
"I seem to see the gleam in the near distance of the weapons and accoutrements of this Army of the future, this Citizen Army, the wonder of these islands, and the pledge of the peace and of the continued greatness of this Empire" Extract from Lord Robert's speech in Glasgow on 6th May 1913.
Lord Roberts was the protagonist of a national military service and he visited Glasgow on the 5th of May 1913 as part of his duties to the National Service League and aimed to ‘rouse public interest to the necessity of a more adequate home defence.
The University of Glasgow decided confer his honorary degree upon him at a special ceremony, to coincide with Lord Roberts visit at this time. Professor James Moir, Dean of the Faculty of Law, presented Earl Roberts for the degree of Doctor of Laws at the Bute hall.
Tumblr media
Lord Roberts died at the Front of pneumonia at St Omer, France while visiting Indian troops fighting the First World War. He was given a state funeral after lying in state at Westminster Hall (only one of two non-royal family members to do so in the 20th century, the other being Sir Winston Churchill) and was buried in St Paul's Cathedral.

Capitalites (Session 5 of 5) Donogh runs for Madelancholy and Thomas Manuel Opening night is fast approaching and things are threatening to spiral out of control. Can Camilla hold the production together? Can Salman grow to be a worthy member of the company? Can Ami make a professional breakthrough and keep her relationships?
Free from the Shadow: Samurai Fantasy (Session Zero) Lowell Francis runs for Elle, Mike Minutillo, and Sherri We work through World and Clan creation in the session zero for this adaptation of Free from the Yoke for samurai fantasy play. We learn of the history of the conspiracy and fallen Kami who nearly destroyed the Empire and about our three PC Clans who hope to bring order to the land.
Fate of the Quadrant (Session 3) Alun R. runs for Lowell Francis, Paul Rivers, and Will H Acting First Officer's Personal Log - Stardate 48157.9 - Lieutenant V'Sal Reporting: Captain Prel hasn't explained why we have been diverted from Starbase 310 to Deep Space 9 but we should be dropping out of warp there any time now. What I will say is that the announcement of the change is the first time I've ever seen him show even a glimmer of genuine interest in our mission. Meanwhile, the presence of Princess T'ren & Ambassador Dijenn remains...trying. Mixing Federation and family affairs is rarely straightforward but I had hoped that this would be a logical opportunity for a reconciliation. Still, as I have come to understand in my time in Starfleet, logic has its limits and so, it appears, do my parents. Then...shore leave on DS9, a prototype installed and through the wormhole, before an unfamiliar foe must be confronted and tunnels beneath the ruins of New Bajor explored...
Eotenweard: Northumbria (Session 1) Alun R. runs for José Feito, Paul Rivers, Sabine V., and Will H We meet Black Jell, the Loon, with a single wandering eye who was brought to the others by a vision of blood; Solinus, the Rogue, who sees his Gift as evidence that he may matter to God; Cadog of the Order of St Adrian, the Sword of God who was told those he met at a cross-roads were worthy; and Fynn, a Skinchanger who recognized the others having previously dreamed of them. Together they have been drawn to the once thriving settlement of Thrydingas beside a river now clogged by rotting fish, something Cadog's Order says is 'demon-sign'. The villagers mark their huts with protective wards but they clearly desire the opportunity to return to fishing, while their naive Lord prefers to listen to stories... There's more rotting fish, projectile vomiting, and a slave girl's fear...and then...a lurking threat in a sinister fen...
Star Wars Saturday
OSR 5 in 1 - Spacers Rich Rogers runs for Anders, Keith Stetson, and Steven Watkins We end the series with a favorite Star Wars trope - a prison break!

Heroes of the Hearth: Fresh Faces (Session 1 of 2) Madelancholy runs for Paul D. and Rob Fletcher "Today we do not sing of adventurers, but the people behind the adventurers...we sing of how they themselves deal with the threat that holds their lands in thrall..." Supposedly this story game can be done in 2-3 hours...the first time we played this, it was a time crunch in 4 hours. This time, we breathe life into different characters and make this two-shot of village life with a world threat looming - check out Part 1!

Consumer Guide / No.142 / Miles McClagan - football archivist - with Mark Watkins.
MW: Why did you decide to start scanning old football magazines & programmes so as to freely share them on social media? How about maintaining your growing archive?
MM: It was a bit of a fluke – I had a plastic bucket of football programmes that sat on my floor for years. I was bored one day and opened it for a look, and there was a Motherwell programme that contained a photo of Willie Pettigrew looking terrifying behind a mascot, and I scanned it for a laugh, and it got an OK response, on a Twitter account I was doing nothing with.
Tumblr media
I looked into the bucket after that, and saw a Scotland 1978 medal ad, so I shared that, and just kept going.
I’d rather people saw them and enjoyed them than sitting in a bucket gathering dust.
I work on a pretty big rotation with maintaining them – I buy and sell quite a lot otherwise the house would be a disaster zone.  The ones I have are sorted into piles, magazines and programmes, and I have about six folders of ones I really want to keep (like Hull City vs Japan, Shrewsbury vs Zambia etc)
MW: How do you obtain all your physical "stuff"?
MM: Living in Australia, it’s a bit more of a pain in the arse to get them, so it’s an eBay rotation, buy and sell, to keep the cash going.
I’ve got enough now that I don’t need to buy too many more for a while, but I’m hunting down Shoot! magazines, and that’s easier and cheaper to get on Australian eBay than programmes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
MW: Growing up, what comics & magazines did you get, and any favourite strips or features?
MM: When I lived in Australia, it was always Shoot!, and then latterly World Soccer – I was a World Soccer obsessive pre internet because of the results, the line ups and the knowledge gained from other leagues.
I enjoyed editing football computer games, and World Soccer was invaluable for that.
In my period living or going home to Scotland, I collected just about everything – 90 Minutes, fanzines, Goal!, Total Football etc. If I was going to a St Mirren game I would always grab something from the train station for the journey, so I had an enormous collection by the end.
One of my favourite things in the world was the team line ups, scores and notes in World Soccer. I had a PC as a computer and used to play a lot of football management games and would edit the teams based on those line ups, it was so much fun.
One of the other things I do obsessively is collate and scan the Shoot! player profiles – it’s the most popular thing I do. I love how it’s a great equalizer, no matter how famous or non famous the player, the same questions get asked, and they are frozen in a moment in time, it’s glorious.
MW: What football team do you support?
MM: As above, I’m a St Mirren fan. My Dad was a St Mirren fan, he still sits up until 2 in the morning watching the scores come in on the internet. We used to go to every home game in the late 80s and early 90s, even when we were genuinely terrible, sitting in the family enclosure getting soaked…
Tumblr media
I also have a massive soft spot for 90s Parma, especially the early-to- mid-90s team. When I was on holiday in Scotland, I watched the Cup Winners Cup Final vs Antwerp, and I absolutely fell in love with them.
I found two editions of “Look At Parma” magazine on the Internet and nothing made me happy – just seeing that kit was a perfect hit of nostalgia.
Also, Taffarel is dressed up as Tarzan cos reasons...
MW: Who is your all-time favourite footballer, why? and likewise, goal scored?
MM: How long have you got! My first favourite player was the St Mirren goalkeeper Campbell Money, when I was nine I jumped the fence and went on the park while he was warming up to get his autograph, and genuinely scared the you know what out of him.
I absolutely love Paul Breitner, he could be my all time favourite.
Tumblr media
As with my early 90s Parma affection, Alessandro Melli is high up there, and pre discovering food Brolin, Asprilla, Zola etc.
I had a phase of being convinced Patrik Berger was the best footballer in the world as well, and having lived through the Women's World Cup in Australia, I would genuinely pay to watch Linda Caicedo do her thing for Colombia.
Tumblr media
That’s a short list, there’s a lot more, but that’s just some of them.
Favourite goal? Cuoghi vs Antwerp (the sealer), Ferguson vs Dundee United (87 Cup Final) and any of the 4 when we beat Celtic 4-0 (I waz there!)
MW: Who do you fancy lifting the World Cup in 2026? 2030?
MM: Genuinely, I don’t watch enough modern international football to say, and those 48 team World Cups seem like an absolute nightmare. That said, Spain? Yamal seems like someone who could light up a tournament then...2030...Australia – why the hell not?!
MW: Away from football, what do you enjoy doing?
MM: Travelling, I basically work to travel, go to the Melbourne Cricket Ground to watch Collingwood football games then go overseas when I can. Old enough to be very dull, which is a nice thing!
I also watch a lot of sports & wrestling (I love the NBA, watch the NFL, and am a big Australian rules football fan)
MW: Describe your most favourite big breakfast, light lunch and evening meal…
MM:
Breakfast: if I could have anything, it’d be toasted sandwich included – pancakes, waffles, and tea also (the most common time I have a big breakfast is usually hotel buffet!)
Lunch: sausage rolls or a bacon butty.
Evening: given the number of Shoot! profiles I scan, I better say steak...
MW: Do you subscribe to anything on-line (newsletters, websites, movies etc) and what's your favourite App/s...
I have quite a few subscriptions and chip in to Kickstarter and Patreon. I mostly use Whats App, Twitter and YouTube to keep up with things.
MW: Where will you holiday this year? Is this a regular trip?
MM: The plan is to go home to Scotland over Christmas – I used to go to New York once a year to go to Times Square and NBA games, but I’m not sure I can make it this year, so it’s most likely go home, see the relatives, and go to a St Mirren hospitality day (always a classic).
MW: Where can we keep in touch...
MM:

This mix was made around 2007 (I think) and was really just about trying to make use of the music in my collection and share some music that I love, which isn't all about the dancefloor, though no doubt there's a dancefloor (or dancehall) that it would work for. Some of the mixing isn't as clean as I'd like, there's a couple of glitches in the recording too and the sound quality isn't the best in parts; I toyed with the idea of not posting this, but I think I'm just going to leave it up, there's some really great tunes on here.
Regarding the sound quality, this was fairly early days for me recording mixes using a PC and software, so I was still learning about recording levels via digital means. It was also one of the few mixes I've got from my time with the Technics SLDZ1200 CD turntables and the SHMZ mixer, both great bits of kit, really under-rated and I'm surprised that they didn't do as well as CDJ's.
The artwork has had a refresh for this mix, which as I've said in earlier posts, I'm going to do for some of the artwork I'm not so keen on. The title 'Dubble The Pleasure' and the artwork are both a nod in the direction of the reggae and dub influences that runs through this mix.

i'm trying to draw again to recover from all the design work im doing so as a special treat Here is the Paranormal Trio Playlist I made ages ago to draw them to. And of course, it starts with Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft which is a song that I associate with staring at the northern lights in the backseat driving home, ahh.

We’d like to express our deepest disgust against the Australian dept health esp w.a nsw qld, they are liars frauds insulting poisonous evil and do things contrary to humanity, ie exploiting mental health eg after learning what they can do as nurses quacks and security and police , bend it an entrap people indeed just lie to kidnap poison ruin the reputation of regular normal people of the public. It could be anything eg a person who complains about sex abuse of a police man / woman (under pretence of scoring smack or pot off them) to a jealous pig quack shrink of family member of eg of a photographer, to stop them. Doing it , so they can overrun them -even though they are unqualified in most / many ways.
They will call you paranoid - lock you up manipulate all and anything. Lets give these people capital punishment now like fabricant Stella Rihanna mcneil max pam kev ballentine norm Leslie mike oshaughness Danielle brandt marie anne larissa and dad judge italians in australia , straight out aussies , aus abos, spicks, mediterranean peoples like greeks / Libyans etc.
There end goal is getting you outta the way, stealing your shit/stuff, take it off you! All under pretences like I’m an Aussie youre not - you may have worked 24/7 for 20 yrs but we’re gonna take it off ya , and tuff shit. - like neville Colin gray, australian government esp under John award , rudd, abbott, gillard, morrison, albanese, obama, bush, blair, etc, these people are the police (aus nz usa security and health dept as mentioned like dr nurse mental health exploiters and liars) we must get all monies paid to them back off them over their entire lifetime and put up for capital punishment!
