This whole situation has overwhelmed her with terror. A much bigger threat has presented itself, and since the danger escalated to unreal levels, she finds herself wanting to hide and break her promise of helping the Z Fighters. She gave her word, but she so badly wants to take it back; she can't do this.

Slipping under everyone's watchful eye, she flew off, deciding to wander and clear her mind of anxieties. What she didn't expect, though, was the amalgamation of energies all mixed into one alarmingly huge presence. Footsteps could be heard nearby, too. All the fear that she’d tried to subjugate comes surging back with a vengeance. Panicked, she ducks behind the closest hiding spot she can find. Carefully, she peeks from behind it, hands covering her mouth to stifle the whimpers.

She tries to breathe. Calm down, and he won’t find you -- it’s all she can think to keep her heart rate steady.

     “Depends on you, doesn’t it?”

His reply is a simple one; Their fight from so many years ago was a fruitless one-- Goku could have (maybe) killed Cell when they fought, had he truly wanted to. But that wasn’t the point of the fight-- it was to gauge his strength to see if Gohan could overcome that. Complications arising changed path it took to get to that point, but his son beat the odds, just as Goku knew he would.

Now, it was a different story. Goku could certainly get serious right away, but where was the fun in that? It simply wasn’t his style. Though Vegeta would chastise him for such an approach to battle (and with such a dangerous opponent, no less) Goku lived for the thrill, just as Cell had inherited. It was like a dance that started slow, and become furious as time went on.

All that, and he probably shouldn’t risk Cell being on the loose again.

Cell’s invitation wasn’t refused; quite the opposite, and the saiyan would dig his foot into the earth, and fire like a bullet toward the bio-android. A speed that would impress simpler onlookers, but at their level it was nothing out of the ordinary.

One staggering blow after another came in rapid succession. Each strike booming like thunder, striking like lightning. Even in his base form, Goku’s power was far more than what Cell had faced in the past.

      “Do you want something..?” She had barely noticed the other, but once she saw him... he was truly difficult to miss. He seemed familiar to her, and yet Marron couldn’t recall exactly how she would know him. Media? Her father? It was hard to know.
