17-Year-Old Belts Out Adele Hit, But Each Judge Has A Drastically Different Reaction

Singer-songwriter Jena Irene Asciutto appeared on American Idol in 2014 at just 17 years old.

A beautiful young girl with a passion for music and a hope to take the next step in her career, she made the bold move to audition for the judges with one of Adeles top hits.

In the video below, as she starts singing Rolling in the Deep, every judge seems captivated, but they’re a bit hard to read just by looking at their faces.

She belts the song out with a strong and unique voice, then its time for the judges to speak.

Jena looks nervous as Harry makes his first comments. He mentions a part of her performancehe seemed confused by and maybe even a bit disappointed in, but quickly after, he admits that shes got a voice that matches her stunning appearance, and hes impressed.

Then J.Lo and Keith let her know how they feel. J.Lo admits that she thinks Jena sounds nothing like Adele. But she thinks thats a good thing because she made it her own.
