@sp00kshowbabyyy continued from x
The reality of it all only kicked in fully once Allie had shown so much empathy and sentiment towards the poor mangled victim. The way she had scurried and collapsed to the ground, the way she hung her head and the apologies she spat out - It all puzzled both the men at first...
But then she confessed things that had connected the dots for both the Upir and the Wolf. Peter's ocean hues gazed down upon the floor, a shaken sigh fell from his lips as he reached for a packet of cigarettes from his old torn leather jacket.
Roman had mirrored the wolf's actions, his brows furrowing before trying to understand wha Allie meant by 'being with me' and then describing feelings that were unspoken for - He could relate after all, he had lost certain people who were close to him and Shelley, and it tore him apart, though he didn't realise until now that the poor girl who Allie recognised was also someone Godfrey had been acquainted with. Violet attended parties that Roman had been to, she liked his car, she liked the way he would go on about random shit, and she was quite fascinated by his dark and morbid interests, yet Roman didn't care to think that the girl had a small crush on him - he brushed her away, just like everyone else seemed to of done.
Allie had then made him realise that the girl also had an obsession with her too.
"What do we do?... call the fucking cops? or?" Rumancek let out after taking long drags on his cigarette.
"I don't know. Just..." Roman joined him and lit his own joint, taking in more than the Wolf had done before wiping at his perspiring brow and motioning out to Allie "Let her decide what's best and shit, I guess"

Ummmm I saw high school sweet reader and want to request something with Roman where he’s always all over reader in the halls and kissing her and being super cutesy pls maybe some smut idk 🥺🥺
(A/N): Hey sweetie,
I just wanted to clarify that ‘high school sweetheart AU’ is kind of an AU I created in my mind of like reader knowing Roman since high school (and not standing him there) but slowly crowing closer to him as they end up both caring of Nadia.
I do hope it isn’t a problem that I gave a twist to your request according to that AU!
If you don’t like it, just let me know and I’ll rewrite this request!
Have a lovely day!
WARNINGS: Bullying, Terrible High School Experience, Mention of Poverty-Mention of Sex In A Pubblic Place.

You weren’t the type to go back to school reunions mostly because you had hated the whole high school experience.
Back then you been the charity case of many, since your family hadn’t been in good waters when you had started your first year.
And the situation hadn’t gotten any better.
Used books, used clothes and used phones were enough to make you stand out in a society that was painfully materialistic and superficial, to the point that being simply ignored felt better than your hair being tugged and your clothes laughed.
You had never been popular, and you felt that certainly hadn’t helped you in liking high school more than you should have.
You had always kept your head down, kept your wits to yourself and just survived through the four years of it, in hope of getting a scholarship to the school you had wanted to get in.
This had worked for three years and then at your fourth, you had been partnered with Peter Rumancek on the first day for a literature project and coincidentally with Roman Godfrey, the biggest bully you had been confronted with during your whole high school career.
And now, your lover.
With whom you had been living after the death of Letha, helping him raise his daughter and keeping his upir nature under check.
It had been difficult and it had taken you quite some time to get yourself used to the new routine, encasing it with your own problematics, but in the end you had made it work up and you couldn’t help but feel proud of yourself for the point you had reached.
And not solely because in a month, you would have been Mrs. Godfrey.
There was much more to that.
There was the intimacy that you had both learned to create between each other.
And for this same reason you had managed to bring him back to the school reunion, wanting to have that experience you hadn’t been able to have back then, because in all truth, you were sincerely waiting just for the moment that happened in all the movies in which suddenly the nerd appeared, all grown up, as a marvelous lady.
Not your case since you hadn’t changed all that much, but you couldn’t deny that you felt happier than you had ever been and that was all that mattered.
But to Roman other things mattered.
Such as bringing you in the school toilette, for the ‘experience of your life’.
“I am not following you there” you muttered putting down your heels in order to bring them to resist Roman’s hold on you, although there wasn’t much you could do, because, whereas0 his upir force had definitely lessened, he was as unmovable as a tree “… seriously, Roman”.
“Oh, c’mon, sweetie…” you hated the sugary tone with which he said the petname, and he knew perfectly you were irritated whenever he called you like that.
But teasing you was also part of his game.
“… no” you muttered, also trying to pull back on his grip “… we literally should be outside with the others…”.
“… listening to how much they hate working for me and their favorite children’s name, the one they saw on that cute Pinterest board” smirked Roman, knowing exactly that like him, you didn’t have much patience for things such as these “… c’mon, babe, I’ll make you scream your own Pinterest board”.
“How are you always so charming, Roman Godfrey” you muttered, but allowed him to drag you close to him, on the threshold of the girls’ toilettes as he giggles softly, his hand gently caressing the nape of your neck, making you lightly shiver.
“It’s the fucked up DNA” he smirked, as he then proceeded to lean down, his hand become a tighter grip on your neck, steady but not suffocating, meant to keep you there, because many times you had ducked jokingly and teasingly for a kiss on the cheek.
And as much as Roman was sure of your love, he was still insecure, in the worst ways.
But you allowed that worry, just because it made you smirk through curled lashes.
The kiss was soft, like the ones that you had shared accidentally with Roman after he had admitted about being interested in a relationship with you, moving carefully around each other, mostly for Nadia’s own comfort, the small child having gotten herself used to both you and Roman.
And you didn’t want to fuck this up for her.
Roman dragged softly his upper lip against yours, no biting in sight, just the softness of caressing your lips with his in a teasing way that was meant to make you want more.
Damn it, the bastard knew it.
But you honestly wanted to go back to the school reunion, because as much as Roman had described it awfully, you wanted to have also that experience.
To have something that made you happy.
“… c’mon, just a quickie in the bathroom” commented Roman as he lightly unlatched himself from you, and you sent him an annoyed raise of your eyebrow “… don’t tell me that you never thought back then what a quickie with me in the ladies’ bathroom would have entailed”.
“You are disgusting” you muttered, unable to look at him in the eyes because he was damnably saying the truth.
“… but you love it”.
And you couldn’t deny it further as you brought him softly behind you, closing the bathroom door and gently pushing yourself onto the sink.
“… I’ll indulge you, if you promise to behave after it”.
“When have I ever failed you, my sweet maiden?”

The bet.
I was new in town and oh boy don't I just know it. The amount of stares I received for being the new girl at school was getting ridiculous. There was the usual crowds the jocks, the popular girls, band geeks, and.. well.. there was me.
I was never good in social situations so fitting it was never my strong point. Nor was I ever desperate enough to make myself fit into these stereotypes. I live with my older sister as my parents died when we was little! She had no choice but to look after me. Her names emma and we are the complete opposite of each other! She's into all the new fashions and trends, plans her outfits religiously the night before, where as i really just shove on any old thing in my wardrobe at last minute. emma recently got a job working as a receptionsist at the yellow tower? Or was it the white tower! I really should start to listen. So here we are, where my story begins at hemlock grove!
**It was the usual day at school boring lessons and sitting by myself at lunch time. This repeated for the next 3 weeks. Untill I met letha. She was blonde, skinny and my god was she beautiful. We became really close and exchanged numbers. We would text each other all day and night. We really hit it off. I always thought to my self why did she befriend me?
letha introduced me to them. Roman godfrey and Peter Rumancek. Meeting them was the biggest mistake of my life. Let me rewind the story a bit.
It all started off great, 3 new friends we did everything together. I met them as letha was having a small quiet gathering at her house. Her mum and dad went out for the weekend so we had the place to ourselfs. I arrived first at letha' s house she gave me my go to drink vodka n coke, Helps with the nerves. She told me she had two other friends coming over. Never in my mind would I thought it would be boys. I mean I wasn't a virgin or anything i had my fair share of trouble when it came to boys. And trouble was soon to find me again.
********************************************
Flash back
Letha: "Y/N this is roman, my cousin.
Holy shit
he was breath taking. Tall, dark and handsome. Definatly handsome you thought to yourself.
"hi roman nice to meet you my name's Y/N" you replied back hoping he didn't notice you staring wide eyed at him.
Peter came walking through the door way moments after. Phew. This was awkward.
We all exchanged pleasantries and chatted away like we'd known each other for years.
The drinks was flowing and the drinking games began. truth or dare like we were 15 year olds again. I should of noticed or realised something was up at this point but couple of drinks is enough to wipe out my "somethings not right here" part of my brain. I should of seen the smirk from Peter. Moments later roman and Peter left the room leaving me with letha.
*************
Peter: so I've got an idea...more of a bet really
Roman: go on?
Peter: I bet you can't, get Y/N to fall in love with you
Roman: and why would I want to do that? She's not exactly my type.
Peter: scared she's gonna resit you?
Roman: not a chance! I'm in! How long do I have?
Peter: 4 months.
The boys returned back to the living room and the game of truth or dare continued. You kept noticing roman staring at you from the corner of your eye. What's his problem you thought
Peter: Roman! Its your turn..truth or dare
Roman chuckles realising what Peter is trying to do. Dare he replied.
Peter: umm I dare you.. to umm.. kiss...... Y/N.
You nearly chocked on your drink upon hearing your name. WHAT. Oh god.
You couldn't make eye contact just sat there silent I mean you wasn't going to dismiss the idea but infront of everyone glaring. Awks
Your palms became clammy as you saw the tall silhouette walking towards. Oh god. Oh god.
Roman knelt down infront of you asking for your permission to go ahead.
You just nodded your head as he slowly made his way towards your lips. He surprised you. He held your face gently as he kissed you. He moved away to take a breath before coming back for more. Looking at him you didn't think it would feel like this, you imagined in that split second it would be rushed and rough.
Peter and letha started giggling and cheering behind you which made you come back to reality.
Letha: okay guys let's get on with the game I don't want to see you two necking on all night. She laughed
You felt you cheeks flush. Holy shit that was amazing.
Roman sat beside you instead of returning back to his seat. Your hand was touching the floor as you knelt on your knee' s watching letha and Peter get dared numerous of funny stuff.
You could of sworn he kept gliding over your hand on purpose. Was he trying to get a reaction out of you? Or was this just the alcohol. Probably the alcohol you thought.
Next day:
You Had just gotten off the bus when you saw Letha run up to you and gave you the biggest hug and whispered something in your ear, you wasn't able to catch what she said so you made a mental note to ask her later. Before she dragged you off to first period.
You was sat next to a lovely guy called james and you helped him with the science questions as he repeatedly told you he didn't understand no matter how hard you explained it to him. You spent the majoirty of the lesson laughing together untill you both had tears in your eyes. The Bell was just about to go so you packed all your belongings up And that's when you saw him. glaring at you from the doorway. Eyes fixated on you which made you nervous seriously what is his problem and that stare!
Roman: Who was that
um james, he's really nice you replied
Roman: ok well fuck him, I'm taking you out tonight be ready for 8, wear something hot babe He winked as he said 'babe'
Y/N: What? Wait roman
Too late he had disappeared into the crowds. What does this mean you thought and babe seriously you rolled your eyes and rushed off to go find letha to tell her what just happened.
Y/N: you never guess what ... you began to say
Before letha interrupted you "he likes you Y/n" she spat out all giddy
What? Is all you managed to string out.
Roman! He likes you. he wouldn't stop talking about you after you left and kept asking me places where he should take you.
You didn't know what to say you just sat there trying to take it all in. He likes me? You kept repeating in your head HE LIKES ME you tried to play it cool and act like you wasn't interested. Lies all lies. You was beyond bursting with excitement.
School ended and you and letha rushed back to your house and raided your sisters wardrobe in preparation for your date.
8pm soon arrived and there he was standing infront of his red car wearing black skinny jeans and A white shirt. Fuck! Your knees nearly bookeld at the sight of him.
"wow you look beautiful Y/N" Roman stated as he held the car door open for you. Wow what a gentleman. He took us to a restaurant which he had booked out for just us, a nice romantic candlit dinner it was perfect. I mean I knew he had money but I didn't think he was this rich.
The rest of the night was perfect you didn't want it to end. He dropped you off and walked you to your front door.
Night baby he winked before planting a kiss on you.
*******
Since that night you and roman had become inseparable. You began dating not long after your first date it was just coming up to 4 months. Things were perfect and you was the happiest you've ever been. Roman was the perfect boyfriend and was forever complimenting you and showing you affection. You had no reason to doubt him right?
Soon came around our 4 month anniversary and roman had planned a weekend away. Nothing warmed your heart more when roman took hold of your hand and gently looked at you, it was almost like he was nervous. You laughed at the thought of roman being nervous he always acted so in control.
Y/N I wanted to bring you here to make it a night to remember, to show how much you mean to me! I never thought I would ever... Umm. ..I never thought I could.
What's wrong roman. you cut him off? Why was he stuttering over his words.
Roman: I'm in love with you Y/N
Those words made your heart flutter, you thought you was going to be sick from bursting with happiness
Y/N: I love you too roman godfrey
With hearing you say it back to him he threw his arms around your face kissing you over and over, slowly at first then getting more passionate.
************************
On the return home you rang letha and told her everything that had happened and how roman had confessed his love for you. She was so happy for us! Spent the night chatting untill you both fell asleep.
After school you went round to Romans house as you did everyday. It got to the point you didn't knock anymore you just let your self in, you spent a short while talking to shelly and Olivia before heading off to find roman.
You walked down the many corridors of the godfrey mansion before over hearing talking it was roman and Peter.
they hadn't noticed you hovering around so you decided to hide and see what kind of stuff boys spoke about. Lame I know
You wish you didn't.
Peter: I can't believe you actually won man
Peter: What did she say when you told her you loved her? Peter began laughing. Oh come on roman don't go all quiet on me now.
Roman: Peter stop I need..
Peter cut off roman before he could finish.
You best not be going soft on me now you agreed to this bet.
What. The. Fuck. You felt as if your heart was gonna split in two right then.
" what bet" you came from hiding behind the door. " WHAT BET" you didn't realise you had began shouting.
Peter with a smug look on his face declared" I put on a bet with roman to see if he could get you to fall in love with him"
Roman looked paler than ever, just stood there staring at you.
The tears began falling from your eyes as you rushed out the door.
"Y/N WAIT" roman screamed chasing after you " BABY WAIT"
you stopped and turned around " dont ever call me that again roman" you exclaimed!
Y/N please let me explain, roman said in a low voice
"Explain what? That you did all this for a stupid bet! I love you roman" the last few words were more of a muble as your voice became shaking as the tears kept pouring.
" I did at first ...do it as a bet, but I soon fell in love with you Y/N that part was all true, I know you don't believe me right now but your the only person who's ever made me feel like this. I forgot about the bet with Peter untill just then when I told him about our weekend away and that I told you I loved you" Roman pleaded his voice now becoming as weak and pathetic as yours.
You noticed tears slowly falling his cheek.
" I can't forgive you Roman, it's over.. we're over"
And with that you ran down the corridor and out of the mansion running as fast as your legs could take you. Running anywhere as long as your now weakened body would take you.
Roman watched you leave as he fell to the floor his heart was truly breaking! He really did love you. He knows he should of told you about the bet, but how could he?
*******
This was the day roman godfrey broke my heart in two.

The Bloodline [Roman Godfrey x Reader]

Warning: Adult themes & language, murder
Other tags: Magic, friends to lovers, slow build, nightmares, witches, upirs
Summary: After very suspicious car crash that killed both of her parents, Abigail Wolff moves in with her aunt to Hemlock Grove only to discover a truly interesting family history which her father kept from her. As she awakens her powers, something much older and terrifying is coming after her. Or maybe not after her at all.
Chapter 7
Masterlist
Chapter 8 - The worst pick-up line
24th November 2016
Being alone only with your thoughts and yourself was extremely dangerous. Speaking to no one was refreshing because I didn't have to put up with their lies or half-truths. I haven't spoken to my aunt in two days except trying to find out when will I be able to attend school again and she answered that in a two weeks or so. And that was basically all we said to each other. There were no unexpected ambushes from her side and I trained in the woods alone. I knew she was watching me practise, I could feel it but neither of us said a word.
So in the evening I decided to visit Rumancek's trailer. I just wanted to know why. Why he didn't tell me? I even prepared a speech which somewhere in the middle turned out to be self-pitying piece of shit so I decided to improvise.
Turned out I wasn't the only visitor there that night.
"And who are you? I've never seen you here before," he spoke loudly so I could hear him clearly. He had smooth voice, expensive clothes and arrogant grin across his lips. Brown hair smoothed back from his face and his green eyes followed curiously my every step.
"One of his friends," I answered and stopped few steps from him.
"He doesn't have friends."
"And what are you then?"
His grin grew wider. "Good question. That's an interesting pair of eyes you have there."
"And that's the worst pick-up line I've ever heard."
He chuckled and let his fingers ran through his hair, then he pulled out of somewhere a pack of cigarettes and lit one up. "I don't do pick-up lines, I don't need to."
And somehow, I believed him. He didn't look like the type who would use one pick-up line after another. He looked like rich boy who was used to getting everything his way. Well, too bad for him. "It's called heterochromia and it causes this. Different colour of each eye."
He breathed out smoke and hummed in agreement. "Interesting."
It was also interesting to watch him. He seemed relaxed, almost amused by my answers. If he was angry or nervous, he was hiding it pretty well. "So, again - who are you?"
I sighed. Persistent. Great. "Abigail."
"Abigail who?"
"Abigail none-of-your-business."
Another chuckle. "I could make you tell me."
"In another lifetime, you-"
"So I hear and see you two get along pretty well," said Peter amusedly as he was walking down the stairs. "Abigail, I see you met my mysterious friend Roman Godfrey."
The person in question raised his eyebrows. "So that was you the other day. A friend of Peter's who thinks I'm mysterious."
"I also asked if you fuck strangers in your car on daily basis but close enough."
"And I think we don't have to cling to details," interfered Peter with a smile and threw a bottle of beer to Roman from a sixpack he was bringing. I shook my head in sign I don't want any and Peter shrugged like he wanted to say your loss. "Want to hang out with us?" With him, every moment, every day was just so easy. He behaved so casually as nothing bad ever happened to him. I would love to learn that from him.
"I'm good, I'll stop by tomorrow."
While walking away, I felt their gazes pierce my back but didn't turn around.
×
"You didn't say she was also interesting and quite pretty," Roman said as he took a sip from the bottle.
"You never asked," answered Peter with a smirk and lit up a cigarette of his own amused how this conversation was turning out.
"How long is she here? She wouldn't tell me shit and I am in a desperate need of new material."
"Not long. A month maybe? I'm not her mother, Roman," chuckled Rumancek, "and I wouldn't certainly bet on this one to be one of your girls."
"And that's the beauty in it."
Peter didn't dare to guess how much Roman knew about her or if he could feel the difference between normal mortal and supernatural one so he said nothing. He, himself, felt the change in her a bit. When they came back two days ago and he looked for his mother at Wolff's house the scent of strong magic hit him in the face. He got worried so rushing to the house was only logical but he wasn't prepared for the sight; even though it was a short one through the doorframe of their front door it was enough. His mother then told him what happened and he asked why the fuck was she even there. Erika wanted to know if she knew about something that could help Abigail but when they arrived, she was already awake and confused what was going on with her. He felt a bit sorry for her. Everything that happened to her was in such a short period of time, every other person would break too and maybe even earlier than she did.
"You're thinking too loud."
"What?" Peter asked and looked at him. His bottle was almost empty and there were at least four cigarette butts on the ground by his feet.
"You're in love or something?"
"As you said, she's interesting poor little thing."
"And why do you think that?"
"Before she moved in here, she was the only one who survived a car crash. Her parents died."
"Shitty story with even shittier ending but it happens all the time."
"Yeah, that's true."
"Something's feeling off about her though."
"She's a girl. Something is always a little off with them. Wouldn't sweat it so much if I were you, saw her today for the first time, right? Give it some time. I'm sure she will tell you to fuck off at some point."
Roman just stared in the space between the trees and lit up another cigarette. He knew she lied to him. Living his whole life with a liar he recognized the signs. Especially when someone like Olivia Godfrey thought she's a pro and no one can see through her lies. Maybe only thing deadlier than her lies and manipulations - was her love. He felt nothing like that with that girl, Abigail, but he knew she lied to him about something. Maybe he will look up the fateful night of hers, the night of her car crash. Maybe it was nothing, maybe he was just excited to meet someone new in this little town. "Hey, what's her full name?"
Peter started to choke on his beer as the question surprised him. "Uhm, what?"
"What's her full name?"
"Are you changing into a stalker or what? She's Wolff."
"She's related to that crazy Wolff chick? Shit."
×
When I got home that day and looked from my small window, I saw the two of them still sitting in front of Peter's trailer, probably talking. So that was the famous Roman Godfrey, the rich boy. Nothing about him felt new, just another spoiled brat. I saw those back in my town, plenty of them. Greedy for attention, buying shit they didn't need just to prove others they had the money for it. Always the centre of gossips of others, organizing parties at their houses with booze and drugs. Really nothing new.
But I needed to focus on controlling my new powers, not on Roman Godfrey. I had the feeling I would see and hear plenty of him at school.
I couldn't even fucking wait for it.

Hemlock Grove: Silly, Gory, Netflix Filler:
The last thing I was looking to watch was another vampire or werewolf drama but there was something about the Twin Peaks meets True Blood set-up, alongside the scare powered production credentials of horror director/actor/producer Eli Roth, that made me curious about Hemlock Grove. All twelve episodes of season one dropped April 2013 on NetFlix but in my world though it failed to net any of the buzz of say House of Cards or Orange is the New Black, I discovered Hemlock Grove long after the fact but it seems just in time before season two. Lack of an instantaneous fandom is not necessarily an immediate reflection on the quality of a show. It's all too easy to get lost in the binge watching shuffle of the current tv buffet. Many a tv gem has taken their time to build to a critical mass of appreciation; case in point Breaking Bad and Orphan Black who eventually met popularity on the slow audience build. However, by episode two of Hemlock Grove I realized just how narrow the demographic of whom it might appeal to really was. Someone will appreciate it though especially camp horror fans who like their gore mixed with a little or a lot of silly.
Based on the novel by Brian McGreevy, the story about a creepy family in a creepy town is well-tread territory, and Hemlock Grove is an unabashed mash-up of Dark Shadows, True blood and Twin Peaks. It wears those inspirations as much on its sleeve as it does inspirations from Poe, Lovecraft and Shelly. And it's the later that Hemlock Grove really is the 2014 spawn of with its gothic tones and grisly horror matched by broody model pretty teens, deceitful adults and lots of mangled bodies.
Things open with the horrific murder of a local girl, and it lets us know we're in for a pretty gruesome ride. The story unravels slowly though, and it really isn't until the third episode that the body is discovered, and the stakes are raised. Until then we spend a lot of time becoming familiar with this small Pennsylvanian town, its sinister residents and the moody melodrama that makes up town life.
Famke Janssen plays wealthy widow Olivia Godfrey, who one character calls the “most despised woman” in town. Famke plays her as a Jessica Rabbit meets Maude Addams femme fatal who slinks around dripping with lots and lots of mystery; the biggest of which is where her accent could possibly be from. It might be British, maybe it's Eastern European; whatever the intention it was an interesting choice by Janssen. I’m still not sure if it's bad acting or a genius character move but everytime she opens her mouth with another"dahling"it kind of stops me in my tracks. By the time they delivered the obligatory flashback, it made just as little sense. Part of Olivia Godfrey's infamy comes from being a major shareholder of the "nobody knows what the hell goes on in there" Godfrey Institute of Bio Medical Research. She is also busy carrying on an affair with one of the Institute's other shareholders, Norman Godfrey, played by Dougray Scott, who is the married brother of Olivia's late husband, who had committed suicide after the birth of their third child.
Olivia's sexy creepy gene is quite evidently passed on to her broody chain-smoking man-child son, Roman Godfrey, who she is just a little too close to. Played by Bill Skarsgård, another one of Stellan Skarsgård's offspring quick on his brother's heels as a sexy bad boy with vampiric tendencies, he does a good job of inhabiting Roman’s perversion and compassion. We know tow things about him from the get go: he has a kinky bloodlust, and he loves his sister dearly, a deformed giant who speaks through her smart phone. Roman eventually fosters a kind of bromance with town newcomer, lone wolf Peter Rumancek. Played by Landon Liboiron with Lili Taylor (always a welcome site) as his hard-living nomadic mother. Peter's friendship with Roman actually provides one of the most interesting relationships to watch on the show if not on tv in general. And it is their Scooby Doo meets Supernatural adventures that brings everything to a head over the twelve episodes.
Somehow connected to it all is the mysterious Godfrey Bio-Medical Research Institute that is so mysterious even owner Olivia doesn't know what the hell goes on inside. To her credit she admits she doesn't really care. Who does know is creepy head-scientist Dr. Johann Pryce, actor Joel de la Fuente - who just oozes mad scientist under his too polite bureaucratic persona. The rest of the cast includes Battle Star Galactic alumni, Kandyse McClure as the hard drinking god fearing wildlife/monster hunter Dr. Clementine Chasseur, and her fellow former BSG regular Aaron Douglas as the thick-skulled town sheriff and father of two perfectly bitchy but funny twin daughters.
Hemlock grove unravels at a slow pace, and characters often say I feel like something is about to happen and so too does the viewer. All the creepy violin music, the forboding stares and threatening vibes inevitably do devolve into a more talk than action type of story-telling. On a better written show like True Detective, where the sinister atmospherics and eccentric characters get equally compelling verse, it can work. Hemlock, however, trips over its own dialogue, which is disjointed and clichéd at best. One character actually alludes to the lycanthropy of another by saying, “One had to step in before things got too hairy.” Really!? At least there was some sense to made of the line for all its punniness unlike the stream of consciousness that produced, "There are dreams sir that you wake up with teeth marks and then there is the smell of coffee.” If you know what that means, please leave in the comments below. It seems odd to get nit-picky by lines of dialogue but in Hemlock Grove's defense the nonsensical nature of the writing is actually what kind of makes it fun to watch.
Hovering between the youthful face of CW and the skinmax lite of HBO, Hemlock Grove wanders less down the road of Twin Peaks or True Blood and more into Once Upon A Time meets Edgar Allen Poe territory. While it sets out to tackle the super compelling theme of the monster within, by half way through the first season it devolves into a hypothetical what if Dracula, the werewolf, and Frankenstein's monster all went to high school together. An r-rated Smallville for horror fans, by the time the story stumbles into crazy town by episode eight. which indulges in way too many dream sequences, the mounting nonsense accumulates to the point where either you succumb, sticking around out of sheer curiosity to just what kind of crazy will happen next, or you turn it off.
Being a child of Eli Roth who found fame as the father of the Hostel franchise, you would expect gore, and it happens only so often but when it does face ripping and intestines spilling are par for the course. Hemlock Grove has received some well-earned note for the best screen refresh on werewolf transformations, which Roth admits was American Werewolf in London inspired. Overall though things are really more gory than scary, and if it's horror you're thinking about, the dialogue is a far worse offender.
Series composer Nathan Barr and Lisa Richardson as the music supervisor do a good job cementing the soundscape, which swings between sub woofer throb intros, mournful violin cues and completely left field song choices. It actually fits quite well with the kind of moody cray cray camp that Hemlock Grove is. Doing to Gothic horror stories what One Upon A Time does to fairy-tales but in a far sexier, and if you believe it even sillier fashion, Hemlock Grove is just weird enough to cut it for a rainy weekend binge view or horror filled pre slumber night cap.
Overall I'd say A for effort but C for execution giving it a in 2.8 out of 5
Trigger warning for rape, extreme cat danger and teen romance

Stare - Peter Rumancek
Peter Rumancek X Godfrey!Reader
Y/N Godfrey, Roman’s twin sister, has a better reputation at school than her brother. Being the most liked Godfrey, next to Letha, came with it’s benefits. Especially when Y/N takes an interest in the new boy in town, Peter Rumancek.
Contrary to popular consensus, you loved your family. The Godfrey’s had been in Hemlock Grove for years and had made thousands of enemies that wouldn’t look twice to tear your family apart. You were even friends with some of those very enemies because, out of all of Olivia’s children, you were the most friendly Godfrey.
No one dared to get close to Shelley, despite her naturally warm heart; it was a shame really. Your sister was the most deserving of the attention of others. She was smart, funny, and you were proud to be her older sister.
Roman on the other hand, had a reputation. Your twin was cold, rude, and a bad influence. If it wasn’t for the fact you had already had friends in Hemlock Grove, Roman might’ve tarnished your chances at any relationship outside of your family tree.
Next to your siblings, you had your Uncle Norman, Aunt Marie, and Letha. Your cousin, being the only person your brother could actually call a friend, often hung out with you and Roman. If it wasn’t for Letha’s saintly nature, you worried on what could have become of your brother. He refused to listen to anyone and didn’t have any friends.
That all changed when school started up again in August.
“This is dumb,” Roman hissed, taking a drag of his cigarette. He let out a puff of smoke, blowing it away from your direction. He knew how you hated that he smoked.
“This is school, Roman,” you corrected. Your brother scoffed and rolled his eyes. You turned your head over to Shelley who was deeply entranced by a book. “Hey Shell, do you want to wait in Library? It may be more quiet in there,” you suggested.
Your sister looked up at you and pulled out her phone. Using her stylus she tapped a message into the voice reader. You smiled as you waited, wishing that one day you’d be able to hear Shelley’s voice rather than an automated one.
“You’re right,” the voice rang out, “I will see you two later, after school.” You nodded and watched as Shelley stood up. She towered over you and gave you that adorably awkward smile. You gave her a quick hug, wrapping your arms around her waist.
“Have a good day, Shelley,” you said as you pulled away.
“And if anyone gives you shit, send them my way,” Roman added. Shelley’s smile widened at her brother’s words and gave him a wave before turning to walk inside the school.
“How do you think it will go?” You asked your brother. You looked over and Roman took another drag, letting his shoulders slump.
“If I don’t have to punch anyone today, I’ll be surprised.” You gave you brother and frown and he shrugged. “It’s true,” he mumbled, “everyone thinks they can get away with hurting her.” You nodded, watching Shelley’s form disappeared within the school.
“It doesn’t help that you have slept with half of the female population in Hemlock Grove,” you pointed out. “I could count the number of people that stopped talking to me because-” Roman looked away from you, something catching his eye.
You followed his gaze, your own eyes landing on the someone he looking at. He wasn’t the tallest boy you had seen, definitely shorter than Roman. His hair was longer and a shade of dark brown that framed his bearded face perfectly. He turned to look in your direction, his blue eyes landing on you. Heat rose to your cheeks and you looked away quickly.
“Who the fuck is that,” Roman mumbled, throwing his cigarette to the side. When you looked over at your brother, his gaze was hard on the boy as he walked away. His jaw clenched his nostrils flaring a little as he tried to figure it out.
“I’ve never seen him,” you said, watching the new arrival as he walked towards the school door.
“None of your friends have seen him?” Roman sneered. You glanced back over at your brother, slapping his shoulder. “What?! It was an honest question!”
“If they knew I would have known,” you said, still glaring at your brother.
“Cause you hang out with the gossips,” Roman said with a smirk.
“No, because I hang out with the people you fuck over,” you shot back. Roman placed a hand over his heart in feign hurt.
“You wound me,” Roman said with his smirk still plastered on his face. You rolled your eyes and glanced around the courtyard. One of the girls you talk to regularly waved you over and you smiled.
“I’ll see you later, Roman,” you said, leaning over to press a kiss to his cheek. Your brother smiled and watched you walk off. As you made your way over to your friend, you felt eyes burning into your skin. You glanced over your shoulder, thinking it was Roman, but he was no longer there.
“Y/N! Hey! How was your summer?” greeted your friend. You smiled and gave her a hug.
“It was okay,” you answered, still distracted by the feeling of being watched. You looked over your shoulder again, then glancing around. Your eyes landed on the boy you and Roman had seen, his burning blue glazed stuck on you.
“You alright, Y/N?” You friend asked, but your gaze remained on the boy watching you. He had kind features from what you could see, although he wasn’t smiling.
“Yeah,” you said, peeling your eyes off of him, “I’m alright.” You opened your mouth again, turning to your friend to ask about the boy when the bell rang. A flood of your peers stormed towards you and pushed you in the school; the boy escaping your sight.
The first day had passed with no other encounter with the new boy. Although, you had learned through a rumor that he was a gypsy. More importantly, you knew his name: Peter Rumancek. You felt bad for him a little, due to the other half of the rumor. Some thought he was a werewolf, despite how outlandish it sounded.
“It’s ridiculous isn’t it?” You asked your cousin Letha the next day. “A werewolf,” you shook your head as you walked beside your cousin. You didn’t dare tell anyone your own thoughts on the new guy. How you day dreamed about his lips and those bright blues eyes.
“You know how people can be,” Letha said sadly, pulling you out of your thoughts. You nodded, knowing exactly what she meant. You had witnessed the cruelty of people first hand with Shelley, along with your mother’s coldness towards everyone but Roman.
As you walked down the hallway a movement caught you eyes. You recognized Peter, long brown hair covering part of his face as he pressed his ear against the girl’s bathroom. You were about to speak up when Peter noticed you.
“I um...this is…” he glanced at the door as a moan sounded from the other side. “This is exactly what it looks like.” Letha rolled her eyes in disgust, but you smiled humorously at the strange boy. Peter gave you a smile too, his eyes lingering on yours with interest.
“Y/N?” Letha’s voice pulled you from your thoughts. You managed to pull your gaze from Peter’s and caught up to your cousin quickly. As you fell into step beside Letha, you it your lip and glanced over your shoulder. Peter smiled when your eyes locked with his and he waved.
“You like him,” Letha said, just loud enough for you to hear. You glanced at your cousin, a blush coating your cheeks in a deep crimson.
“I barely know him,” you protested, “and Roman doesn’t seem to care for him.” Letha clicked her tongue and shook her head, as if knowing better.
“Your brother is unpredictable,” she said, “and he can’t control who you like. No more than you can.”
“When did you become so wise?” You asked teasingly. Letha smiled then frowned, but not sadly. “Letha, are you okay?” Your cousin nodded, placing a gentle hand on her stomach.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I guess I was always wise, in a motherly way.”
“Are you ready to go, Y/N?” Roman was leaning against the car, waiting, rather impatiently, for you to get ready. You hugged your textbooks closer to your chest as you walked over to the passenger side door.
“Sorry,” you breathed out, “got caught up in the halls.” You brushed your hair out of your face as Roman got into the driver’s seat. Glancing in the rearview mirror, you saw Shelley who waited with a soft expression. “How was your day?”
“It was okay,” Shelley quickly typed, “Peter said ‘Hi’ to me today.” Your eyes widened at her comment making Shelley stare at you with worry. “What?”
“You know Peter? The new guy?” Shelley nodded and her cheeks started to glue with a light blue to them.
“Do you know him too?” Roman asked. Your head spun to face your twin, wondering how on Earth Peter had managed to interact with every Godfrey except yourself. Maybe he didn’t care for you; that would be a first.
“I’ve seen him around,” you said quickly, already feeling your cheeks start to warm. “I didn’t know he talked to you two.” As you spoke, Roman started to drive towards the front of the school to get out of the parking lot.
He stopped suddenly, rolling down the window on your side. You glanced at your brother, but he wore a charming smile as he yelled out the window.
“Hey, Peter!” You turned to look out of the window and sure enough, the Rumancek boy stood on the sidewalk. His blues eyes locked with your gaze and you instantly looked away.
“Do you need a ride?” Your brother offered. Roman didn’t seem to notice your glare as he waited for Peter to answer.
“I, uh,” Peter started and at the sound of his voice, you looked up at him again. You curled your lips together as you looked at him. He seemed so out of place in the gloomy Hemlock Grove; just as your warm personality was a butterfly in the Godfrey bee-hive.
“I could use one, yeah,” Peter said, still looking at you. Roman reached over with one long arm and opened the passenger side door for Peter. You scooted over as far as you could, trying to give Peter as much room as possible.
“Hey Shelley,” Peter greeted when he noticed your sister in the back of the car. Shelley smiled at him, waving a heavily bandaged hand towards him. Peter’s gaze traveled to you, giving you an almost shy smile. “We haven’t officially met,” he held out his hand.
“I’m Y/N,” you took his hand to shake it, “Y/N Godfrey.”
“What?! You’re a Godfrey too?” Peter’s tone was shocked, his grip on your hand tightening slightly as he spoke. “How many of you are in this fucking town?”
“Too many,” Roman answered as he drove away from the school. “Do you mind if we stop by our place first? Shelley and Y/N have stuff to do,” Roman asked. Peter simply shook his head.
“Don’t mind at all.” Due to how close you two were to each other, you found it hard to look anywhere but at him. You could feel his body warmth emanating beside you, the brush of his leg against your own. The blush on your cheeks only seemed to deepen.
Every so often, you would catch yourself looking at the boy beside you. Sometimes, you’d catch Peter looking at you. Whenever that happened, you both blushed and looked away. You hated that Letha was right. The whole drive home, Roman had a smug smirk plastered across his face and Shelley was smiling too.
As soon as you got home, you rushed to your room. Your heart was beating faster than it ever had before and it was all because of Peter. You barely knew him, yet, you found yourself thinking about him more often than not.
It was a strange feeling too. Despite the fact you were known as the most affable Godfrey, Peter had hardly breathed a word to you. You had only exchanged stares, nothing more. So how come a blush stained your cheeks every time you looked at him?
Before you could explore your thoughts any longer, your attention was drawn to a knocking at your door.
“Come in,” you yelled, thinking it was Shelley. Roman would’ve just barged in. The door to your room opened slowly. As you watched, you saw a familiar head of dark brown hair poke inside. “Peter?” you asked and sure enough, the gypsy boy gave you a smile.
“Hey,” he said as he entered. He closed the door behind him as he continued. “I just wanted to apologize.” You shifted on your feet uneasily, not understanding what he had to be sorry for.
Peter seemed to sense your confusion and stepped a little closer to you. There were still a few feet apart, but you could now see the darker blue around his irises.
“I just thought, at least yesterday morning, that you were with Roman.” Your eyes widened due to what he was implying. You let out a nervous, but true laugh at his statement. Peter smiled too, a blush coating his cheeks due to his embarrassment.
“No wonder you looked so pissed,” you said, making Peter’s smile widen. You leaned back against your dresser, trying to seem cool and collected. You had managed to make enemies into friends but when it came to Peter, you had no idea where to begin.
“Know that I know you’re his sister,” Peter continued, but you spoke up again.
“Twin,” you corrected, “twin sister.” Peter’s eyes widened and he ran a hand through his long hair.
“That makes this harder somehow,” Peter said with a sign. You cocked your head at him, giving him a small, shy smile.
“What is this?” You asked and Peter let out a chuckle. He looked up from his shoes and met your eyes. All of the times you had caught his eyes before didn’t match to the tension between you now.
With only a few strides, Peter was a mere inches away from you. You could feel his breath against your skin and you couldn’t stop yourself from leaning closer. Peter’s hands moved to your face, cupping both of your cheeks.
“It’s this,” he whispered before pressing his lips to yours with a rush of confidence. His lips were slightly chapped but they moved with such purpose, you couldn’t have cared less. Your hands didn’t know where to go but soon found their spots on his chest.
Peter’s beard tickled your cheeks as his lips moved smoothly against your own. You let out a hum of contentment and you felt Peter smile into the kiss. When you were forced to break the kiss for air, Peter still wore that smile.
“I should’ve talked to you sooner,” Peter said, smiling at you like a school boy. You curled your lips together and nodded.
“Definitely,” you agreed. You leaned in again, ready for another kiss when a shout from downstairs made you jump.
“Peter?! You ready to go?” Roman’s voice rang upstairs, reminding you that you and Peter weren’t exactly alone. Peter licked his lips, meeting your eyes with a soft smile.
“That’s my ride,” he said with a breathy chuckle. You nodded and closed the gap between the two of you once more. This kiss was even softer than the first, but shorter too.
“I’ll see you at school tomorrow?” You asked against his lips.
“Of course,” he said with a grin, “and this time I won’t just stare at you.” He brushed some hair out of your face, “I’ll kiss you just like…” He pressed his lips to yours one last time, your eyes fluttering closed at the contact.
“Good,” you breathed out. Peter smiled and pulled away from you. As he left the room, your door stayed open to reveal Shelley, blue glow spreading across her cheeks. “Shelley!” You whisper yelled, but your sister only smiled. She pulled out her phone and tapped out a message.
“That was cute,” the phone voice read out. You blushed and covered your face with your hands. “I won’t tell Roman,” Shelley’s phone said. You uncovered your face and smiled at your sister gratefully.
“Thanks Shell,” you said as you walked over to your bed. You collapsed on the soft sheets, your mind still whirling from Peter’s kiss. You couldn’t wait till tomorrow, when you could do so much more than just stare.

Liked starter for @hauntsallmywhatifs
It sucked coming back to the only place Peter felt like he stood out - Hemlock High.
Not that something like this ever truly got to him, he still had hassle from certain students, thinking he was one of the so called monsters that would be roaming the town in search to hunt for another poor innocent life. As docile as Rumancek was, he simply ignored the provocation, even if it did pull the attention from a tall skinny Upir as well, it was fucking clear Peter could smell another monster.
Weeks and weeks had passed though, and luckily, all the attention had now been passed onto a new unfamiliar face that arrived at the school, though to Peter's attention, it was a pretty face - A girl. Leaning against the stone wall situated outside of the building, The wolf had a smug smile plastered upon his face, hand itching at his neck as to wait for the new girl to pass after class was over. Bright ocean blues had caught a glimpse - Hoping his tall Upir whom seemed to share an interest wasn't lurking around too.

#hauntallmywhatifs#;Peter Rumancek#Starter call ;#{Sexy man beast 🐺}#//With HG threads I sometimes link Roman in them too as I write both? So if ya want that then just say. If not?#// Then I'll let Peter get all the attention xD

Review! Hemlock Grove: Part 3 The Forever Howl
Time to dive back into that wacky Gothic adventure by Brian McGreevy called Hemlock Grove. There will be SPOILERS!
Review Time!
Guys, I’m upset. This is the last part of my four-part review for Hemlock Grove and I have to say that I’m really sad to say goodbye. Which is odd considering how God awful this ended for all of our characters.
So we start this final part with Peter and Roman making up! Also during this marvelous reunion, we have Peter confessing he loves Letha! Yay, the gangs all back together again! Well metaphorically speaking, Peter and Roman gotta go kick ass first. Sadly their attempt at stopping the vargulf is futile as Dr. Chasseur decides this is the right time to tranquilize Peter just after he transforms into his wolf self.
THANKS A LOT, CHASSEUR, YOU JUST GOT EVERYONE IN THE REST OF THIS BOOK KILLED INCLUDING YOURSELF!
I digress, as Chasseur’s attempt to take Peter away and kill him is stopped by none other than the world’s greatest mother, Olivia Godfrey. This light of joy has Peter brought back to the Godfrey mansion as she proceeds to tie Chasseur up for two days before devouring her. Which I really liked Olivia’s story about her and her sisters game before killing Chasseur, it was sickly satisfying.
Before Chasseur dies, the vargulf kills Alexa and Alyssa Sworn. This causes Christina’s hair to become fully white and leaves her in a very bad place still believing that Peter is killing all the girls. This idea is shared by many others as the Rumancek’s trailer is burnt down. Olivia puts the Rumancek’s up in her house, where the next morning Peter and Letha are finally reunited!
Unfortunately, this reunion is spoiled as Neck and Nose show up to arrest Peter. Nose is a complete racist but honestly are any of us surprised? As Peter is getting beat by the cops as they try to take him in he pretty much confirms his love for Roman. “And Roman. Help Roman become a man on the path of light and love. Not the other way. Tell Roman... all the things I couldn’t.” (page 247) UMMMM if that isn’t a confession I don’t know what is! As is the theme of this book Roman shows up just in time to tell the police to 1) fuck off or 2) he’ll make them shoot their brains out. This works because Roman is Roman.
Peter hides out in the chapel where Dr. Godfrey helps Roman and him to do this. Roman then reveals to Norman that Peter is a werewolf as Roman and Letha get it on in the chapel. Where Christina, having escaped her room, watches them. Norman only finds out about Christina’s disappearance as he decides to leave his wife permanently for Olivia. Poor Marie :( but also yay Marie?
The next day it becomes known that another girl was killed. Peter and Roman go to Destiny to find out what to do. Roman goes on his own and becomes a Disney princess in this chapter. I kid you not. He starts stepping up for all these animals only to be met with Peter having to kill his cat in order for the vargulf to be stopped. This part made me go and hug my cat for a good five minutes until she scratched.
We also learn that Nicolae didn’t actually cross the Atlantic by lily pad, though that would be very cool. He actually stole a car and then sold it for an airplane ticket. Go Nicolae for being stealthy!
Norman apologizes to Shelley at long fucking last for being, well, Norman. This is of course before Shelley takes off to the chapel (but we’ll get to that in a moment.) At the same time, we learn that Christina escaped and went to Letha’s place.
Now, man oh man, this next part was so well written. I just loved getting to see the insight of Christina and how she became the vargulf (Spoilers). That she once kissed Peter (while he was sleeping. Like girl, no wonder you ended up kissing a corpse! Stop kissing people in their sleep!) Then she followed after him once he transformed and poured water into his paw print and drank from it, thus become a werewolf herself. The entirety of Chapter Black Run was fucking wonderfully written, I really enjoyed it.
Then comes the climax! Which is so fucking Shakespearean, I love it. We learn that Jenny was the latest girl to die, you remember the girl that was fired at the beginning of the book for being nice to Shelley. Inside the church, Peter ties Christina up before they both turn into their wolf forms and battle it out. Shelley comes bursting through at the last minute and kills Christina, which is rather unfortunate as Sheriff Sworn sees her holding a limp body of yet another dead girl and shoots her. Not just once or twice but several times, causing Shelley to flee and go missing.
Peter lives! And all is right with the world! The End!
If only.
We skip to six months after Christina dies and Shelley goes missing. Letha is going to give birth but dies while doing so. Which, fuck, I knew this was coming because I watched the show but damn it! It still hurts! Anyways we cut to Olivia telling us her past, where long story short she was ugly af, but somehow got laid and had a baby that was adopted by the Rumancek family! So technically this would mean Peter and Roman are related somehow, which seems to be the new in with the Godfreys. Mainly because we learn that Roman was the ‘angel’ that Letha said got her pregnant, and her baby is his. Roman slices his wrists, which does nothing but trigger his full transformation into an upir, much to Olivia’s delight.
Peter leaves Hemlock Grove.
*Tears Go By, by the Rolling Stones plays*
So that’s the end of my Part 4 of Hemlock Grove!
Like I said at the beginning of the review I’m sad that this is over. :( This book was not afraid to be ugly and twisted and flesh all of its characters. I absolutely loved how fucked up this book was!
Big kudos to McGreevy though, that man knows how to tell a story. He literally laid out all the pieces for us in plain sight and yet we still were questioning what the hell was going on. That’s a hell of a storyteller there.
McGreevy’s writing style is so intriguing to me. Like I said in Part 3 of my review, reading his book has made me reevaluate a lot of my own work (which is excellent! I always need to improve myself in that area). He also gave me courage to make fucked up characters and not be bothered if everybody loves them. It doesn’t really matter if they’re beloved characters it's more about if they’re interesting or not. At least to me. Like I don’t for the life of me ever want to be associated with someone like Roman, but I will read fucking ten more books about that boy because his decisions and him as a character is so fucked up and intriguing.
So a salute to McGreevy for writing this really awesome book, it kicked ass and is gonna stay in my brain forever. Especially Olivia’s final letter and chapter Black Run.
BONUS! Favorite Quotes!
“Shee-it” x2
“It’s beautiful” *two seconds later* “I’m not a homo,”- Roman to Peter about shifting back into his human form.
“The fucking cat.”- Roman about the fucking cat
“Fucking actresses.” Chasseur about Olivia.
“Well okay.” - Roman about his life. This is probably the most relatable thing Roman has done.
“The women of the audience may want to close their eyes now.”- narrator becoming self-aware.

Chapter 3
Masterlist
Chapter 4 - What’s up, Wolff?
17th November 2016
I started fourth week with my broken ribs. It was getting fucking annoying but they didn't hurt so much as they did in the beginning. I was learning a fair amount about herbs, tried to memorize some quick and useful spells. Slowly it started to get in my mind. Erika was happy about it but I needed to try harder. She always left me some books to read but soon there was nothing left. Erika didn't want me to read our ancestors's things so I made my own 'book' of things I knew and find useful. I called it my own personal 'portable grimoire'.
When she handed me some journals and grimoires about symbols, how to use them and combine them, I got an idea. Since our talk passed a week or so and I wanted to know if dad was possessed by something. Erika told me it was possible - that's why she wore those charms and rings everyday.
I told her I thought that someday I could find myself in situation when none of it I will be able to wear or I'll simply forget one thing and then what? I'll end up dead in some fucking alley? Firstly she wasn't so happy about it, but thought about my idea and then allowed it.
We drove to another town where no one knew us and I got myself my first tattoo. More like one big across my whole back with UV ink. And we had to go back three times because he couldn't do it in one session. So yeah, I got tattoo no one could see but I felt safer and Erika told me it was a pretty good idea. I was protected and no one could tell I'm a witch or suspected me of it. Right there I was that weird chick with a cool aunt.
"How're your ribs?" Her voice brought me back from my thoughts.
"Much better."
"So you're ready for a few quick rounds?" It wasn't much of a question but I nodded. When I got frustrated one day that learning names of stupid herbs won't help me and I'm just fed up, Erika made a game out of it. And every day we walked through her garden and I was supposed to answer her questions. Sometimes she would tell me name and I would tell her what the herb is for and how can you use it. Sometimes she just pointed at some and I had to tell her the name. In the basement she practised spells with me. And they were a pain in the ass. The oldest ones weren't translated (they had description of what they do though) and maybe it wasn't even language from our world. Spells translated from latin? Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
My mind was quick to adjust to situation in which we were but what if somebody attacked me and my mind went blank? What if I couldn't remember a single spell? Erika told me to run because one day my life could depend on how fast will I run.
Since I still couldn't go to school and let's be honest Erika made herself perfectly clear telling me why and when I will go, I was glad that Peter or his mother came by. I wasn't so self-confident to walk the streets of Hemlock Grove on my own yet. And honestly? I was scared. I was so fucking scared. Aunt told me it's a healthy reaction, that I'm healing and later I won't be feeling invincible like she did.
When I was in my room later that afternoon looking out of the small window near my bed, I could made out the shape of Rumancek's trailer on the other side of the river. I saw there two figures. One of them was definitely Peter but the second one didn't ring a bell. I knew they couldn't see me from so far away in such a small window but Peter said he would stopped by today and didn't say anything about another visitor.
He was my only friend I had here. And that was completely my fault since I was still buried in books or practising with Erika. I did became curious about Hemlock Grove so she told me stories and how it is today. She spoke about the Godfrey family, how a few years back they closed the Steel Mill and built Godfrey Institute. How a lot of people lost their jobs and were forced to look somewhere else or go to the Institute.
"Why do you live here? Why not somewhere else?" I asked Erika in the evening, when we were eating dinner.
"Because wether I like it or not, some Wolff has to live here. Not to mention the supernatural creatures who live in this town. One day we may need their help or the other way around. Some of them are very powerful and old. Or they come from old blood."
"Such as?"
"Such as you will know in the right time. I can't tell you everything. Some things you need to find out for yourself."
I was going to give her a piece of my mind, I really was, but there was a soft knock on our door. I got up and opened them. "Ah, Peter Rumancek. My only friend in this Hellhole. Where's your friend?"
He grinned at me. "It's not my problem you don't have friends and what friend are you talking about?" He carefully walked past me, avoiding my ribs and I closed the door. "Hi, Erika!"
"Hi, Peter."
"Go upstairs. You know where my room is." I told him and picked up my plate with dinner. "I'll eat it in my room." She only nodded because it became during the last few weeks a habit for Peter to show up this late. Sometimes he came with his mum but not today.
"So, what about your friend?" I asked him again, watching how he spread himself on my bed.
"What friend?"
"The one I saw through that window," I pointed behind him with my fork and grimaced, "earlier this day. He was taller than you." Fucking ribs. I seated myself on my comfy chair and put in my mouth another bite of risotto, watching Peter closely.
"And that taller than you friend, is Roman."
My eyebrows furrowed. "You didn't mention that name. I know that Lynda is your mother," he gave me affirmative nod, "Destiny is your cousin," another nod, "and that's basically everyone you've ever talked about. You, my friend, are very secretive," I talked with full mouth and pointed my fork at him again.
"Firstly - you, my second friend who isn't from family, are disgusting. Shut your mouth and eat. And secondly it isn't my problem. If you would be so kind and stopped playing a mole and went out to meet actual people, then I wouldn't be your only friend."
I sat quietly, finishing the rest of my meal and then spoke my mind. "I'm scared, Peter. I'm not even healed yet. I can't go to school yet but I'm tired of being here all the time. Even those trees in our backyard are pissing me off."
Peter was looking at me curiously, just lifted himself on his elbows and kept staring. "Are you sure it's just because of your ribs? Aren't you afraid of something else?"
I knew Peter knew about the supernatural side of our world. But I still wasn't entirely sure what to made of it. He never told me how exactly he came to that knowledge or if he had real witches in the family. I started nervously tugging my sleeve and that was the only answer he needed.
"Look. Tomorrow we'll go to the cake shop in downtown. I'll buy you an ice-cream."
"Peter, it's November."
"Who cares? Sometimes all you need is an ice-cream so stop bitching."
×
So the next day, in November, we went into town to get some ice-cream. Saying I was only nervous would be a big fucking lie. I was enormously bigh bundle of nerves and every unexpected noise made me jump but Erika was pleased with my progress, saying that I needed to get out of my comfort zone. So here I was. In front of our house waiting for Peter fucking Rumancek, who always got his way and my aunt supported him in it.
When he finally showed up, shit-eating grin spreading across his face, I wanted to slap him.
"What's up, Wolff? Can't wait for the tour?"
I rolled my eyes at him but smiled anyway. Our walk to the shop wasn't the fastest, I needed to make small breaks which were filled with Peter's sarcastic humour. Then he spoke about his family with a great passion and love. We exchanged stories. I told him about my seventh birthday when I broke my arm because of my stupidity. He told me about his uncle Vince and grandfather Nicolae.
"So what flavor do you want?" he asked me once we were inside the shop.
"If they have vanilla, I'll take it."
×
For the first afternoon outside of the house I wasn't feeling bad. Actually I realized I kind of did miss it. Small talks of other people, the rush of the town, rumbling of car's engine, that weird noises like from some porn... wait. What? I stopped in my tracks on the pavement and Peter did the same. "What?"
"Do you hear that?" I asked like an idiot and took a look around myself. The only thing I saw was empty parking lot. Well, there was one car. With clouded windows even though they we opened a bit. Oh! Peter looked in the same way as I did and began walking again. "Come on, that's Roman's car." It didn't sound like a big news to him and I just stared at the car. "You coming?!"
I actually needed to speed up a bit so I could maintain the same pace with him. "Uhm, did you hear that too?"
"It was from Roman's car. Don't sweat it." He told me and immediately laughed about the double-edged sentence.
I was taken aback. A little bit. "So your mysterious friend is normally having sex with strangers in his car?"
Peter gave me amused look and shook his head. "He's not mysterious but I'll tell him you'll think of him that way."
"Ah, fucking great!"
×
Roman was waiting in old Godfrey Steel Mill for Peter who was running a bit late. He paced and lit up a cigarette. That girl today, who he fucked senseless, was good distraction but he couldn't fucking wait for better weather when girls will wear skirts again. Also he thought he saw today Peter with someone but it wasn't Letha.
"Roman! Enjoyed your little afternoon fuck in car?" Peter said instead of classic welcome and laughed.
Godfrey exhaled smoke and rolled his eyes. "I thought I saw you there! Who the fuck was with you? She stared at my car like she couldn't believe it."
"She's a new friend and thinks about you you're my mysterious best friend who daily fucks strangers in his car," answered Peter amusedly and grabbed a beer from the six-pack Roman brought with him.
"Well, she certainly wouldn't be wrong. Keep her close, she's a clever one."

Kings Masterlist
Kings Part Seven:
“Are you still not talking to me?” Klaus chuckled when you held you book in front of you face so you couldn’t see the smile plastered on his face.
“You’re the one that was accusing me!” You sighed defensively and lowered the book, helplessly grinning when Klaus smiled at you.
“And I am very sorry love but I’ve been feeling on edge and I can’t help but worry.” Klaus smiled when you rolled your eyes but nodded.
“He has that effect on all of us Klaus, not just you… now can we talk about something else?” You asked and Klaus hummed playfully as he thought.
“I believed there’s a gallery in the Quarter we haven’t visited yet.” Klaus offered and you grinned.
“Perfect.” You hummed, hurrying to get dressed, jumping when Klaus appeared in the mirror behind you as he wrapped his arms around your waist.
“No, you are perfect.” He smiled to himself as you blushed and kissed your neck before leaving you to get ready.
“Peter!” You said in surprise when you hurried downstairs to find Peter lurking about in the hallway.
“I was summoned.” He joked and nodded towards the dining room where Klaus was waiting.
“Well trust me, if you don’t enjoy the company, you’ll enjoy the food… and I’ll enjoy the company.” You added, kissing Klaus before letting him pull out your chair and push you back in.
“I’ll hold you to that.” Peter chuckled and accepted a drink that Klaus offered him. “At least the booze is good.”
“Well I have acquired a rather large collection over the years.” Klaus smiled warmly but you could see in his eyes that he was coaxing Peter into a relaxed state.
“Got a few old family remedies but beyond that the only thing we’ve collected over the years is knowledge… weird werewolf knowledge but it works for us.” Peter chuckled when you snickered and thought over how he and Destiny had explained the funnier of his werewolf habits.
“You’re a lone wolf?” Klaus offered and Peter shrugged.
“I guess, I don’t really need a pack but it feels good to have one.” Peter played with the food on his plate as you carefully bit into yours, watching Klaus carefully as he nodded and mulled over what Peter had said.
“So, it does not affect you that Roman seems to have disappeared… if it were any other wolf they would be feeling the loss deeply.” Klaus asked and for a moment Peter stopped as if he was trying to decide if Klaus was asking genuinely out of curiosity or if all of this was an elaborate ploy.
“No one misses Roman.” Peter snapped and shared a look with you.
“Still, I thought you had been sent to keep an eye on him but here you are with us while the boy seems to have vanished.” Klaus smiled when you gently took his hand realising that while he was on edge when he knew where Roman was he was terrified that he had no idea where he was or what he was planning.
“He didn’t tell me but Andreas called before I came over, he was pretty sure there’s a big meeting at the white towers.” Peter explained reluctantly.
“What are the white towers?” Klaus asked as he glanced between the two of you.
“The Godfrey towers, where they do all their science stuff, it gets pretty weird in there… it’s also where Roman’s office is and where the Godfrey’s hold a lot of their meetings.” You felt his hand tense in your grip.
“Well let’s enjoy the meal and get you back home before anyone knows you’re gone, wouldn’t want you to be discovered.” Klaus offered, slightly kinder than he had before and Peter nodded, listening carefully to Klaus’ tails about Rumancek wolves he’d met with enough interest that Klaus seemed to slowly come around to him.
“You said you found a weakness?” Roman asked Pryce as he sat at the desk with the few hunters that Olivia had recruited in his absence.
“Yes, however finding the weapon is another matter.” Pryce’s voice was stern as he waited for Roman to over react.
“I assume you can recreate it?” The boy asked quickly, his hands knitting together as he realised he might have to spend much more time looking for what he needed.
“Yes, but It might not have any effect.” Pryce didn’t want to admit it but it was a reality they both had to face.
“Right well, work on that and you lot I want you to split between finding the weapon and recruiting more of the Mikaelson’s enemies. I’m also going to need some of you to come back with me.” Roman said with a final wave of his hand to dismiss them.
“If you don’t mind me asking what exactly is your plan?” Pryce asked and Roman smiled.
“Klaus is paranoid, he’s obsessed with me, he wants me gone and sees me as a threat so I’m going to do the worst thing I can currently do to him.” He sighed as he stood and grabbed at his phone.
“What exactly is that?” Pryce said as he followed the by back to Roman’s office.
“I’m going to tell him the truth.” Was all he said before letting the door swing shut between them.

Imagine: Being Peter’s cousin, and hitting on Shelley while visiting the school. Shelley Godfrey x Female!Reader A/N: She's been my favorite character since season 1! ____________________________________________________________________ You hummed as you quietly paced in front of Hemlock Grove High School, kicking a rock around as you did so. The classes would soon be over, and you’d be able to find Peter and find out what the hell he needed help with this time. According to Peter’s mom Lynda, your aunt, he has gotten himself caught up with some Upir, and since Destiny was out of town for a few weeks, he would need you there as someone to confide in. And so, you had Lynda pick you up from the bus station, and drop you off here to surprise your second favorite cousin. Tensing slightly when the bell rung, you leaned back against a pole, your eyes scanning the crowd for Peter. Instead of seeing Peter, you spotted a tall figure making their way through the crowd, their head down, their pace slow. Interest sparked in you as you watched the person walk in your direction, stopping a few paces to your right, stopping in front of a black SUV, seeming to be waiting on a car to pick them up. Being the nosey person you were, you leaned down, pretending to fix your shoe, then peeking over to see their face. You gasped lightly when you saw her face, your heart beating faster. "She's fucking adorable!” You thought to yourself, swallowing nervously as you tried to think of a way to talk to her. "Stay cool (Y/n). Confident and cool always works.” “ Um, excuse me? I'm sorry to bother you, but I wanted to apologize for staring. It's not everyday I see a beautiful girl a few feet away from me,” you said with a smirk, making her slowly lift her head with a smile. “My name is (Y/n), might I know your name, beautiful?” You said, tilting your head slightly with a flirtatious smile that always had people falling for your charm. The girl nodded with a bright smile, typing on her phone for a few seconds, before an animated voice spoke. “Shelley,” “Well Shelley, as much as I love your name, I would much rather call you beautiful,” you said, using your hand to gently brush her bangs from blocking half her face, spotting her larger eye, but it didn't bother you a single bit. Your hand lingered for a second, before a loud voice almost made you jump out of your skin. “What the fuck are you doing to my sister?” The loud voice growled/called, causing you to spin on your heels, a glare present on your face because the person ruined the whole moment. Your glare dropped after a second, as you spotted Peter and the kid who basically yelled at you. “Petey! How're you doing cousin?” You said with a smile, throwing your arms up to give him a hug, ignoring the other guy who was with him. Peter looked at you with a confused smile, his eyes drifting from you to Shelley, then back to you. “Uh, fine. What're you doing here? And what were you doing to Shelley?” He questioned when you pulled away. You took a step back so you were standing next to Shelley, a smirk on your face as you looked to the guy who was apparently Shelley’s brother. He glared at you as you took a step closer towards the beautiful girl, raising your hands in a playful defensive manner. “I'm here to help you through your journey through life! And we were just having a casual conversation, a little flirting included, nothing big. Right, Beautiful?” You said, turning to face Shelley with a flirtatious smirk and a wink. She smiled widely, leaning her head down to cover her blushing face, her hands typing on her phone. “Yes. Nothing big. Don't worry brother,” the voice said, causing you to smile triumphantly at the blonde boy, who rolled his eyes and looked away. “Well, I'm (Y/n), Peter’s slightly older cousin. You are…?” You asked, looking towards the blonde boy. He huffed lightly, pulling keys out of his pocket as he answered. “Roman,” he responded as he rounded the black SVU we stood next to, unlocking the driver side door. “Let me guess, you need a ride? I guess you'll have to squeeze up here with us,” Roman muttered, as Peter opened the passenger door, looking at you expectantly; Shelley already climbing into the back seat. You shook your head, walking past Peter to reach the back door. “I think I can squeeze in back here, right Beautiful?” You said, directing your question to Shelley, who shyly nodded her head. You grinned as you climbed in, squeezing into the back seat, trying to give Shelley as much room as possible. You slyly reached over, grabbing Shelley’s hand, interlocking your fingers. You sent Roman a playful wink as you spotted him glaring at you through the rear view mirror. “Stupid Rumanceks, always flirting with someone…” you heard Roman mutter, making you let out a loud chuckle. “When I see a girl as pretty as your sister, I have to act. Well now that I’ve seen your sister, I don't think I will ever see anyone more beautiful,” you said with a smile, squeezing Shelley’s hand, as you stared into her eyes, before she tiled her head down, effectively blocking your view. You reached your free hand up, brushing her hair out of her face with a loving smile. Your smile dropped when Roman let out a loud groan, turning the radio all they way up, much to the amusement of Peter. You rolled your eyes, shifting you head to the side to stare out the window, keeping a firm grip on Shelley’s hand.
