You noticed Harry first, of course, in his hoodie and joggers. Behind him was your editor, Pippa, holding up her phone to film you two.

“What’s going on?” You asked suspiciously.

“Look up, babe.” Harry said.

You tilted your head up, expecting some slime or paint to fall, but instead there was some fake mistletoe.

“Mistletoe?” You asked, opening the door wider.

Harry didn’t let you in very far though, making sure you waited in the doorway.

“Guess we’ll have to kiss then.” Harry shrugged his shoulders and cupped your cheeks, bringing you towards him for a proper kiss. Not too intense, seeing as Pippa was here and she’s probably filming content for you.

“Interesting welcome home.” You laughed, smiling at Harry who looked very pleased with himself.

You shut the front door behind you as you walked in, taking note of how Harry and Pippa are still standing around and looking suspicious.

So I definitely just pulled this theory out of my ass but do you think it’s possible Serena Williams felt sidelined by Kate, who is Wimbledon patron, choosing to be more friendly with someone like Roger Federer?

According to rumours and leaks, Kate at Wimbledon is always a super exciting day and she is more focused on the staff than on the players (maybe to not be accused of showing preferences), but many people have said how amazing is her.

So, it was obvious that Serena was a fan of Kate, she was gushing about her being a ‘badass for posing outside the hospital just hours after giving birth’ and I remember that Snapchat video she has with Sophie and Catherine, so she was definitely a fan. And I don’t think Catherine was ‘rude’ and avoided her or else, but she is super careful with who she befriends with , and James Middleton wrote in his book that they have been very good friends with the Federers since years ago, it’s so close their bond that James wrote that he used to lend his dogs to them when they were in London because Roger and Mirka wanted to see if their children were already prepared for a puppy.

So I don’t think Kate didn’t want to be friends with SW and prefered Roger. But she had years and years of knowing him and being bestie with Roger, and all the Middleton are friends with him, that’s why Roger played with George, that’s why he, his wife and their children have gone to KP, that’s why they have been pictured going to a restaurant with Mike and Carole, etc.,. So, maybe there was never this opportunity to going out with Serena and because it’s not so common for Kate to befriend with every player 🤷🏻‍♀️. Pippa once did something with Djokovic and the Midds and Kate started talking and joking more with him, but that didn’t developed on a friendship. In the early 2000’s, Kate used to attend the Wimbledon parties that Virgin mobile organized, an in such parties she was seen with Sharapova and that didn’t mean she ended being bestie with her, so…..

Also, let’s not forget that Wimbledon sees Roger as their child, the goat, etc., so, more opportunities for Catherine to work more with him and develop such friendship.

I think the other thing at play here too is that Serena doesn't spend a lot of time in the UK. Serena typically only seems to be in the UK specifically to play Wimbledon whereas the others seem to go to the UK often to the point where they can have friendlier or more social interactions with Kate because it isn't always about work/playing Wimbledon.

Serena to me has more of an association with the US Open and the Olympics, kinda like how Federer is closely linked to Wimbledon. Since neither the US Open or the Olympics are Kate's purview, their paths don't usually cross in a way that allows for a social relationship to develop.

And that's ok. Sometimes work connections develop into more meaningful, personal relationships and sometimes they don't. Serena may have wanted to be closer friends with Kate, but Serena isn't Meghan or emotionally-stunted-at-age-12; she's a level-headed businesswoman who understands you can't force a relationship with someone you're never in proximity to outside of an annual work event.

Given William's lackluster devotion to royal duties, what kind of ethics did he really pick up attending Eton College? After all, William is being outworked by a different alumnus of Eton College these days, who is soon to be 81.

So why even consider sending not-so-little Georgie to Eton for the low, low price of £17,583 per term these days? Or even to Marlborough College with the low, low price of £19,714.20 per term? Because both parents--Will and Kate--didn't seem to pick up the best sense of work, duty, honesty, or reality by attending high-priced, private schools, but we can discuss not-so-little Georgie's parents' lack of ethics & honesty later this summer.

But the Highgate School in north London might not be so bad. Only £10,525 per term, which is almost half of what the snobs fork out to board at Marlborough. And if we're being honest, George is probably more likely to encounter kids his own age who aren't from extremely rich families IF he attends a school more like Highgate than Eton or Marlborough, which would probably be to George's long-term benefit.

Not that the UK tabs or Richard Eden would be able to admit that simple fact. Gotta pearl clutch over the possibility of not-so-little Georgie interacting with non-rich plebes!

Just another 15 months (or less) until we find out the answer!

• Moved to Eltingville a few months ago when money got tight back home.

• Dawn works at a surf shop and teaches people, usually younger kids, how to surf and/or swim safely in the sea.

• Dawn isn't a geek, far from it, she would've been a popular kid if she didn't see through the superficial-ness those friend groups had.

• She does well in her subjects and hopes to study marine biology full-time some day.

• She doesn't like the Eltingville Club members but she tolerates them because she finds them amusing.

• It's hard to tell that she's actually nice at first because she talks to people as if she's only pretending to be kind to make fun of people. Turns out she is being genuine and she just has a "bitchy" tone she never noticed.

• Some of her interests include: Marine biology, surfing, Nail art, Chiikawa, Animal crossing, Kirby, Abzu, Ponyo and other 'cozy' media (especially when it has aquatic themes).

• Opinions on the Eltingville Club members:

Bill Dickey - Dawn absolutely HATES this man lmaoooo. She can't go a single interaction without clocking his tea. She's the type of person to just bring him up whenever she can just to be spiteful.

Jerry Stokes - The one she tolerates the most, unsurprisingly. They're not close but they know eachother enough to hold a conversation. Dawn says she prefers talking to him when the rest of the club isn't around.

Pete DiNunzio - Dawn doesn't like Pete but she understands that if she wants to get along with one of them other than Jerry it'd be Pete because he's not as much of a crashout. She doesn't seek out conversation with him but doesn't actively avoid it either.

Josh Levy - Likes him a little more than Bill but he's on thin ice. Dawn says she'd probably like him if he'd just chill out a bit. Probably would talk to him if noone was there to bother him (bill).

Opinions on other ocs:

Pippa richards - Dawn and Penelope don't really know eachother that well. Dawn doesn't care much to learn about her, mostly due to her not so great reputation of being an obsessive creep. She doesn't dislike her, nor would say anything bad about her but they're not really friends.

Alex Lambert - Alex and Dawn are pretty good friends despite their obviously differing social upbringing. Alex is always begging for Dawn to somehow prove that Gwen is of merfolk descent and Dawn is always begging Alex to do karaoke together, Dawn swears Alex has the voice of an angel. (I'm not projecting my love for Jack Stauber right now what are you talking about)

Gwen Wilkins - Gwen and Dawn are pretty close, she's definitely allowed to call Gwen 'Mousey'. They can empathise with eachother due to both of them working jobs to make some extra cash. They also bond over their enjoyment of the ocean, despite Gwen's interest being more fantasy-based.

Joan McCann - Joan and Dawn are practically inseparable when they're together. They bonded over their similar 'sassy' personalities and then later felt connected by their more vulnerable sides respectively. They piss off Bill together lmao.

Princess Iman of Jordan (romantic & classic, am big fan of Dior's aesthetic under Maria Grazia Chiuri), Catherine Princess of Wales (another classic, i know ppl love to compare it to the OG Grace Kelly's one but i personally prefer this version more, the lace is amazing & sarah burton did a great job at McQueen IMO despite ppl's criticism), Princess Margaret (simple yet absolutely extravagantly regal), Princess Diana (this one is tricky as in i wouldn't want to wear something like that myself and am not a fan of that pompous 80s style but this is THE royal fairytale wedding dress, its iconic), Beatrice Borromeo (she's probably royal-adjacent, not royal but whatever lol, love this dress probably something i'd want to wear myself out of all these wedding dresses; its just that simple elegance that i like)

Of course, thank you so much for this!! I’ll just give you a basic rundown of the three I’ve got so far:

Ezra Caulder, he/him, Carlos ship, Justice Smith FC. Lives at the Palm Woods with his parents and eleven-year-old sister, Destiny, who’s a child actress mainly seen in commercials (not in an exploitive way, though, she really loves acting and their parents are very good and would let her stop whenever she wanted to). Incredibly shy and awkward and doesn’t really have many friends, and prefers more academic pursuits rather than any attempt to get into the arts, so he doesn’t really interact with the boys or anyone at the Palm Woods at first until he winds up getting roped into one of their schemes. Kind of has an insta-crush on Carlos, but doesn’t ever think it could be reciprocated until he literally becomes the other boy’s bi awakening. Out of the rest of the boys, he winds up becoming closest to Logan, since they’re both more academically-minded, and also develops an odd opposites-attract friendship with Katie.

Nicki Wainwright, she/her, James ship, Hunter Schafer FC. An aspiring actress who’s lived in the Palm Woods with her single dad for over a year before the show starts, but often has a hard time getting rolls once the casting directors know she’s trans. Has also been burned from a lot of guys she’s been interested in because of this fact, so she’s developed a strong disdain for guys with big egos. As a result, she and James do not get along from the moment Big Time Rush arrives in LA, but she still winds up interacting with the guys a lot since she’s friends with Camille, and they wind up clashing and bickering a lot, although of course eventually they become friends and, finally, start dating. Nicki is confident but not arrogant, bold and not afraid to speak her mind, very talented and she knows it, but also has a layer on insecurity underneath due to what she’s been through that’s hard to break through to. Becomes really good friends with all of the guys as well as Camille and Jo, but she’s ultimately closest to Carlos because they egg each other’s chaos on.

Amara Castro, she/her, Kendall ship, Isabela Merced FC. As an aspiring writer, Amara is kind of a rarity among the Palm Woods crowd of actors and singers. She’s been working on a fantasy-slash-mystery novel since she was thirteen but hasn’t ever had anything published, so the only way she’s able to stay at the Palm Woods is because her older brother and sibling are minor celebrity actors. Initially meets the band after she loses a printed chapter of her manuscript and they find it and return it to her, and though she prefers to stay isolated they wind up working their ways into her heart. She’s a lot like Pippa from A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, very intense and driven and focused, but she also has an unexpected sense of humour and a very kind heart. Initially bonds with Kendall over having not-so-good parent relationships (Kendall with his dad and Amara with both of hers) and wanting to take care of the people they care about, and then eventually they become a super cute couple. Winds up becoming the closest to James out of the rest of the boys, which no one expects but everyone agrees makes a weird kind of sense, and also winds up basically adopted by Mrs. Knight and a big sister figure to Katie.

And that’s all I’ve got for now!! I do intend to create a Logan ship and potentially one or two more OCs besides, but for right now have these babies. I am planning on making proper intro posts for them, but in the meantime anyone can feel free to send any asks they want for them!! Thanks again for asking!! <3

wanted to explain one of my alec hardy ask blog answers again 🫡 (feel free to send asks based off the stuff I say here)

Context: I run an Alec Hardy ask blog (@detective-inspector-hardy)

I don't know if anyone other than myself has noticed but I've sort of slowly been building an "alec-goes-to-therapy" arc over the course of the last few answers - he started by having no interest in it, and we've gradually seen him considering it and now he's actually gone and done it.

This is a bit of a weird answer so I wanted to explain it a bit: the first part, about only going to shut people up, hopefully seems not true. Its a bluff to explain to himself why he's actually going through with it, because he doesn't think it's actually worth his time/finds reaching out for help embarrassing. We know that he struggles to admit when he needs help and prefers to keep (even potentially life-threatening) issues to himself.

The middle section is in chronological order. When he was with Tess, she suggested he go. He says "a body" because he's not going to directly say that he found Pippa's body on a tumblr post, but we all know it's Pippa's body. Then he mentions Miller also talking about mental health around him, in a way suggesting he seeks out help for it. Then, finally, he mentions Daisy talking to him about it.

My hope is that this implies that Daisy mentioning it to him is what pushed him to actually go through with it - he's heard it from people before, which is the slow build up of him sort of considering it, and then now that his own daughter is suggesting it he actually does go.

(Last part is a dumb reference to Aubrey Thyme, Crowley's therapist in Demonology and the Tri-Phasic Model of Trauma)

Under the silliness, my sort of goal is to show that Alec values his daughter a lot and despite struggling with things is willing to push himself out of his comfort zone if it means making her happy :D
