Yesterday our opening cashier called in sick, which threw the day's plans out the window. But I unloaded 20 pallets off the truck, then we had to deal with a four foot tall pallet of fish (22 boxes, with at least 6 bags in each box, all of which need to float in the tanks for at least 15 minutes, then you cut them open, dump the nasty water into a bucket, and release the fish) and then one of the other managers had to go to her therapy appointment? So she was gone an hour and 1/2. So we didn't start stocking the truck yesterday.
This morning I get in and we start working on the truck, but my stocker had computer training to do THAT HAS TO BE DONE BY THE END OF THE MONTH, AND HE WORKS TWO DAYS A WEEK, and it's like 2 hours of computer shit, so there goes nearly half his shift, and then I had to sit in the grooming salon for an hour because my boss doesn't know how to make a schedule, so there's another hour gone. Then I have to cover the cashier's break, and help customers who need crickets or whatever and answer questions, and do general manager bullshit, and then someone came to adopt one of the cats, and that process takes a while, and then the adoption partner dropped off more cats, so I had to get them set up, and meanwhile because of all of this shit it took me 5 hours to stock one fucking pallet.
Then my boss gets in and is so furious that things aren't done that she refuses to help anybody with anything. Won't even speak to me. Like HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO GET LITERALLY EVERYBODY'S JOB DONE? Why don't you come ask me what happened before going all Wisco passive-aggressive at me?
#she keeps giving me more responsibilities but not more time to do them#like sure ok I'm supposed to do all this paperwork and receiving and make sure employees get their training done#and make sure our hazardous waste bins are up to date and do a store survey thing that takes several hours to do#(and I've never done it on my own and I'm not even sure where to find it on our app)#and cover breaks and do backup and help customers and do planograms and STILL STOCK A WHOLE FUCKING TRUCK OF PRODUCT?#like the other manager who's at my level gets to sit in the office and do her office shit#and the boss gets to sit in the office and do her office shit#meanwhile I'M the one answering every fucking call for help and filling pickup orders and helping customers#like how the fuck do you want me to do this shit?????#god i am so over it

Update on my "can't taste carbonation" dilemma (specifically the implications re: energy drinks):
Lemonade packets 😍
Under a cut because I wrote SO MUCH and i doubt many of you care too much 🤣
I have now discovered those little Crystal Light-type drink packets that have caffeine in them. This is revolutionary.

One of these little packets has more caffeine than a can of red bull, which is CRAZY ....
I HATE energy drinks except one: Monster Energy Mango Loco. I don't care for the flavor of the other juice Monsters, and every other kind tastes too artificial and syrupy for me. I don't even like the Monsters all that much... They're too big and I'd prefer to be able to sip on it all day without it going flat. So the energy drinks have always been kind of an emergency tool for bad fatigue days lmao
So in my quest to replace my emergency Mango Loco Monster (which I can't drink right now bc it'll taste gross and flat), I've stumbled across something I think I can drink everyday 😈
Very handy for the office since I don't like coffee!
These taste like lemonade/grape/fruit punch/etc and I can take them with me ANYWHERE.....
dangerous*
*I'm only drinking one a day
#ACTUALLY.. I'm in charge of the powdered drink mix planograms at work so i was aware of these but i hadn't like. considered them#another temporary side effect of this medicine is I'm soooo sleepy (it's different from the fatigue!!) but I've been so productive this week

#holding off onto friday morning for that though cause thats my next day off and i wanna try and build and fill it in one day#im only tired until it comes to building things#then im all raring to go with my tools by side all exhaustion forgotten in the joy of building#this also applies to other things as well#like i just found out this morning when i was finishing work that the store layout is gonna be completely renovated in november#like moving aisles around and replacing shelving racks with new one renovating#and while relearning a whole new product layout is 🤢#just the idea if helping move product to its new home and possibly setting up the new planograms and shelves#has me excited#god i would be so good as that person who goes to help set up new stores but alas my lack of ability to drive kinda makes the whole#transportation and constant travelling a problem 😔

Planogramming is a retail tactic employed to maximize product visibility on shelves in an effort to make them more accessible, enhance customer satisfaction, and boost sales. Following systematic planogramming strategies enables retailers and FMCG companies to build a more organized and efficient shopping environment.
Products are stocked in vertical columns such that customers can see easily and find similar products at different price points.
For instance, a supermarket stocks several brands of shampoo in vertical blocks such that premium, mid-range, and economy variants are all at eye level.
Items are stacked in horizontal rows so that customers will scan an entire row before making a selection.
Example: A grocery store sets various breakfast cereals side by side in a horizontal position for comparison of brands.

So the new manager shit at work starts in a week, and tomorrow me and my boss and the other head honcho manager (who used to be my boss but won't be anymore yay we can stop pretending we aren't friends) have a meeting about it tomorrow and I'm like.... WILL I FINALLY FIND OUT WHAT I'M ACTUALLY DOING?
Because I'm basically training another girl to do my current job, so what do I do? Nothing? Ok cool. Like I have no fucking clue what my day is supposed to look like, and neither does anybody else. People keep asking me and I'm like.... paperwork? No clue.
#it's a promotion for me... the girl I'm training will be my underling#so I'll be doing a more advanced job but it's a new position so nobody seems to know WHAT IT IS#the company has rolled this out in the worst fucking way#like we have to do a ton of computer training and we have to search for all of it#currently depending on the day i scan empty spots on the shelf and pull overstock#adjust quantities on hand do price changes unload the truck work the truck#do general manager shit set planograms etc etc

Precision Merchandising: How Planogram Solutions Drive Sales Growth
In the fiercely competitive retail landscape, the art of merchandising plays a pivotal role in driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction. Precision merchandising, characterized by strategic product placement and optimized store layouts, has emerged as a key strategy for retailers looking to maximize their revenue potential. Planogram solutions are instrumental in executing precision merchandising initiatives, offering retailers the tools and insights needed to design, implement, and fine-tune their store layouts for optimal performance. This article explores how planogram solutions drive sales growth through precision merchandising strategies.

Understanding Precision Merchandising
Precision merchandising goes beyond traditional approaches to product placement and store layout design. It involves leveraging data-driven insights, consumer behavior analysis, and visual merchandising principles to create highly targeted and personalized shopping experiences. Precision merchandising aims to:
Maximize Product Visibility: Ensure that high-demand products are prominently displayed and easily accessible to customers.
Optimize Shelf Space: Strategically allocate shelf space based on sales data, seasonality, and product category performance.
Enhance Cross-Selling and Upselling Opportunities: Identify opportunities to promote complementary products and encourage impulse purchases.
Improve Brand Experience: Create visually appealing displays that reflect the brand identity and engage customers on an emotional level.
The Role of Planogram Solutions in Precision Merchandising
Planogram solutions play a crucial role in executing precision merchandising strategies by providing retailers with the tools and insights needed to optimize their store layouts. These solutions offer a range of features and functionalities, including:
1. Data-Driven Insights
Planogram solutions leverage sales data, customer behavior analytics, and market trends to provide retailers with actionable insights into product performance and shopper preferences. By analyzing this data, retailers can identify opportunities for optimization and tailor their merchandising strategies to meet customer needs effectively.
2. Visual Merchandising Tools
Planogram solutions offer visual merchandising tools that allow retailers to create compelling product displays and signage. These tools enable retailers to experiment with different layouts, colors, and product arrangements to create visually appealing and engaging shopping environments.
3. Space Optimization
Planogram solutions help retailers optimize shelf space by providing recommendations for product placement and allocation. By analyzing sales data and inventory levels, retailers can ensure that the right products are stocked in the right quantities and in the most profitable locations within the store.
4. Real-Time Performance Monitoring
Many planogram solutions offer real-time monitoring and analytics capabilities, allowing retailers to track the performance of their merchandising strategies and make data-driven adjustments as needed. By monitoring metrics such as sales per square foot, conversion rates, and customer traffic patterns, retailers can identify areas for improvement and optimize their merchandising efforts in real-time.
Driving Sales Growth with Precision Merchandising: Best Practices
To drive sales growth effectively through precision merchandising, retailers should consider the following best practices:
Segmentation and Targeting: Segment customers based on demographics, preferences, and purchasing behavior to personalize product recommendations and promotions.
Localized Merchandising: Tailor merchandising strategies to specific store locations based on local preferences, trends, and competition.
Promotional Planning: Coordinate merchandising efforts with promotional campaigns to maximize the impact of sales events and drive incremental revenue.
Continuous Optimization: Regularly review and refine merchandising strategies based on sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to ensure ongoing effectiveness and relevance.
By following these best practices and leveraging the capabilities of planogram solutions, retailers can execute precision merchandising strategies that drive sales growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and differentiate their brand in the competitive retail landscape. From optimizing product placement to creating visually compelling displays, planogram solutions empower retailers to deliver highly targeted and personalized shopping experiences that resonate with customers and inspire purchase decisions.
