This is too fandom specific to go on our prompts blog, and I'm not sure I know enough about Digimon to write it ourselves, but given the precedent for Lopmon and Terriermon to have either a shared human partner or different human partners – that is to say, the precedent for either option – I really want to read a fic where a system of two is paired with these Digimon – one headmate for each Digimon partner! One headmate gets Lopmon, the other gets Terriermon, and together they make a team of human and Digimon partners. I think that'd be a fun read!

"I don't want anything like that either," Character B assured them. "It's just that – this started as a way to let go of our stress, right? I figured this might help with that. It's nice to relax and talk with someone you know well. It doesn't have to be romantic to be nice.

"And besides," they added in a lower tone, "chilling and watching movies is a popular lead-up to sex for a reason."

Character A took a few moments to think about it. Some part of them – burned from too many times where, no matter how clearly they explained their feelings and desires right from the start, were still called a manipulative, evil fraud by the end of it all – was still wary, but Character B was the best partner they'd ever had. Always unafraid to be honest, always open and blunt when they thought it was necessary – something that Character A knew well came from the very nature of their no-holds-barred fuckbuddy (insofar as they could be called "buddies") relationship. There was nothing to lose for either of them. Or at least... there hadn't been, until it became a regular thing, and they got to know each other through their intimacy, and Character A started looking forward to their times together the same way they used to look forward to spring vacation or a trip to their favorite bakery. It was a kind of joy that the absence of had led to this situation in the first place. Now, there was something to lose, and the thought of it ending like so many relationships had before had them curling up defensively, both physically and emotionally.

Still, Character B was right that it might be nice... and Character A couldn't help but be curious about what it would be like to experience these things without the pressure of a love they couldn't ever hope to give.

As they try to figure out how to communicate with their wolf, they unravel their internalized fears about being a werewolf, and begin to look forward to life alongside – not in spite of – their wolf. After all, it's a little hard to be afraid of your other half after watching them trip over their own paws for an hour.
