I don't normally post WIPs online, but I needed to document just how much time I spent getting these two's heads to look right. Also, I feel like people should post all the mistakes they made during the creative process more often just to remind beginners that this will almost always happen. With Haida, I went through 3 patterns for the head: My first attempt, one to fix the shape, and one to fix the size. Then, once that struggle was done I went through 2 or 3 patterns for the muzzle before getting the final one (2 of them pictured above). It was easier with Retsuko because her overall shape is flatter and simpler, but I still had to revise the pattern to get the shape right. Everything for her is done as of now, just gotta sew her head and tail to the body. Working on Haida's body currently but got the base of it sewn. Once they're done they'll also be poseable like all of my latest plushies have tended to be!

oh my god so I was hanging out with vivz, Louie and Nico earlier today. During our shopping in a Sanrio store, I was pretty much howling inside when both vivz and I were demanding more of Haida merchandise because we freaking LOVE the best boi as well as the English VA Benjamin Diskin.

Yesterday I went to a small anime con with some friends and brought home two new friends 👌 (tho actually I won Retsuko from a claw machine.. on my first try. Normally I’m godawful at those so im still shook)
