4chan dying via getting hacked into oblivion by its own even further radicalized exiles while tumblr is somehow still alive is amazing. it's like watching an anime character getting beaten down for multiple episodes, and instead of having some kind of epic second wind the guy beating them just suddenly dies of a stroke and leaves our protagonist as the last one standing amidst a sea of corpses despite them having gotten bodied in every fight.

what if the Masked Invincible and Unmasked Invincible talked before the meeting! What if Masked told Unmasked his deal with Angstrom and Unmasked was like 'I could bring this dimension's William back with me?! Why didn't I think of that!!' and then team up.

they got like an hour to kill before the scheduled meeting and go look for them. Debbie isn't home or at her office so they go look for William figuring he could help them plus they have a better idea of where to look for him. College.

they find him and Unmasked scares the shit out of him by tackling him to the ground sobbing with the most wholesome manic grin on his face. Masked just stands there impatient like 'ask your boyfriend where mom is already!'

takes a bit for poor Will to convince Masked that he doesn't know Debbie is, cause I doubt he knows where Paul lives, which makes them miss the meeting. So now they're stranded here but that's not the worse thing since now they both have their respective loved one alive and well here. just gotta find Debbie tho

Next day Mark opens the door to see a scared shitless William being lovingly yet firmly held by one of his evil variant's and then getting the air kicked out him by another who blindsides him. Debbie and Oliver sees all this, Oliver goes to get Debbie out of here but is beaten by Masked who ruins the plan by tackling her into a hug rather than flying off with her.

The Grayson's are emotional men when raised decently.

Several moments of awkward silence where everyone just looks back forth between the evil Marks. One on the floor hugging Debbie sobbing uncontrollably and the other still in the doorway back hugging William, chin over shoulder, with a very firm glare that just screams 'try me'

Somehow they end at the couches discussing terms and conditions. No killing or hurting anyone in exchange for supervised time with William/Mom. Seems like a good enough plan until the world builds up their strength enough to figure out what the hell they should do with them

This whole scene with Allen talking to Nolan in the prison was so good on its own merit, finally getting to hear how Nolan himself had internalized everything he did back on earth during the S1 finale had not only affected him, but his son as well, and he feels absolutely TERRIBLE about it.

But that last bit of dialogue he says right before the screen cuts to black caught me so off guard, left me speechless for a moment.....

The way JK Simmons delivers the line, it's a line of honesty but of total surprise as well. The way his voice softly quivers and trails off as he starts to realize this, like he wasn't expecting to feel this way, after everything he had said about her and how painful was for Debbie to even hear those words.

After all of that, he still misses her.

Way to go, JK. You are a GOAT for voice work like this.

I like how Invincible actually focuses on what it likes to be the mother of a hero (not just superheroes), usually that sort of thing is not analyzed on a deeper level.

Even tho a mother is the most important person for a child’s moral, emotional and intellectual development.

Forgive the Greek mythology brainrot but this is how Danaë and other mothers in mythology should be viewed, as complex people who loved their children and have a massive impact on what they become when they’re older. Most ancient writers did write them like this (most of their work lost *sigh*) but Modern retellings either fridge the mothers for more “drama” or the mothers are just eternally doting and loving with no personality of their own. Or in rare cases like Demeter they get villainized.

Yeah I’m never forgiving Immortals and Clash of the Titans for fridging Aithra and Danaë when the fact they’re alive for most of their sons lives was important for the story and characters. Imagine seeing these fascinating complex women and only viewing them as baby incubators and nothing more.

Why are the Invincible ship names so…basic? to my knowledge, William x Mark is Wark, and Rex x Mark is MarkRex. What happened to creative ship names that use parts of their character or superhero moniker?

Do ppl refer to Wally x Dick as Wick? No! They call them “birdflash” because Dick is NightWING and Wally is Kid FLASH (he was also the Flash but yk what im saying)

Specifically Bisexual with a preference of men (but that’s something he hasn’t unpacked yet).

He’s had flings with both men & women, but too busy being an assassin to really think of anything long term.

(2/2) Growing up in a government facility then running away to join a criminal organization will do that to you.

Despite the shitbox apartment, this man has a FOREST of house plants. All well taken care of and thriving.

Same shitbox apartment is covered in plants, his bed is piled with a multitude of blankets, and the walls are strung with string lights and small lamps.

He decks out his apartment so the small space doesn’t start to feel like the prison cells he’s been put in.

Introverted, but also full of himself at the same time.

Despite seeing his clones as actual clones and not genuine expansions of himself—like Kate—I think he still suffers from SOME sort of PTSD from them dying.

He doesn’t like kids. But kids sure as hell love him.
