One of the problems in the games is that the story never explained how Leon and Sonia had a strained relationship, and why Sonia left the gym challege.

Sonia never hated Leon, it's just the pressure of the gyms and the rumors is what took the fun out of battling for Sonia.

Pokespe manages to fix the plot hole of Sonia and Leon's relationship. Pretty realistic of Kusaka to write in how toxic sports fans could be. It adds a lot of stakes on why so many people take the gym challenge so seriously, and why winning is such a big deal for them.

i like rose actually hes full of Concepts. i like how leon could easily remind him of peony and of himself (personality, talented champion / older brother, beloved golden child) and i like how bede could also remind him of them/what his remark about seeing himself in bede could mean if taken as truth (ignored child, desperate to prove his worth / uncompromising confidence, needs to feel in control, perfectionistic) so he gives them both important roles to keep them around. very normal very well adjusted good job man.

swsh should have had 500 more lines of major npc dialogue. also leon and marnie should have talked about the whole being a symbolic king/princess thing. or she could talk to hop about it and he could talk about how he thinks leon feels about it which could be interesting also. even more economic fuckery talk i know its a sports thing but leon's Sponsor Cape drives me a little nuts. catch him between his own hopes/the needs of the league/rose's ideas specifically. he's been champion since he was like 10 right. something like that. im going back in time sneaking into the swsh writers room and taping up a big poster of N Harmonia. how soon we forget Boy King Prime. also pokespe was right rose should just be Objectively Correct about the impending energy crisis, his problem is that he tries to solve everything by himself by manipulating everyone around him, and is cool with putting the whole region in danger if he thinks it will Solve The Problem. his problem isnt being pro-nuclear power his problem is he thinks like a king. ideal swsh is anti-monarchy as well as anti-monopoly it would make more sense.

- raihan lowkey is a professional instigator lol leon and sonia finally rekindling their very confusing life long relationship? he’s in sonias ears right after they talk “you know he ALWAYS tells me how impressed he is with your studies…”. him and piers after their first date? “i always knew you couldn’t resist my dragon charm”.

- leaf was born on five island in the sevii islands before moving to pallet around age 6. red, blue and herself started their journeys together at age 11-12. leaf’s starter was squirtle, red receiving bulbasaur and blue with charmander. red and leaf spent a majority of their journey on the road together while blue rushed ahead of them, leaving the two to develop an unbreakable bond that surprises most due to their strikingly opposite demeanours. leaf, much like blue, is extremely extroverted and stubborn. while their similar personalities initially caused a lot of arguing between the two, they found themselves becoming increasingly closer as teenagers when red would spend months travelling solo and at mount silver. as adults, the three own the battle tree in alola and enjoy spending summers there. out of season, red prefers a quiet life of gardening and reading, blue is still gym leader of viridian city and leaf, after growing up in a technology free lifestyle on the sevii islands, developed a love and fascination for computers, now working in the pc system with bill. while leaf believes red and blue to be the most important people in her life, what she misses about her old home the most is the single red headed boy that lived on the island that she frequently spent her days playing with.

- despite knowing ethan and lyra since they were kids, silver never opened up about his life prior to their first interactions until his 18th birthday. the one detail ethan and lyra knew for sure was that he was kantonian due to his very distinct accent that seemingly incorporates a mix of kanto and johto dialects. lyra always playfully teased him about this - saying he sounds similar to champion lance, who sports a extremely similar mixed region accent (a very interesting statement since everyone and their mothers knows about lyras long standing celebrity crush on the dragon champion)

Would love to read all your thoughts on Leon and Raihan's rivalry across all the media

HI there Anon! Ooh this is a good ask! In general I can say I really like Leon and Raihan's rivalry across media but I do wish we got some more attention to it. Starting with the games (SwSh + DLC) I do think that they did a solid job at establish that Raihan and Leon are rivals. I do wish we could've gotten to see more of their rivalry beyond the beginning cutscene but I think at the very least establishing it as a competitive but cordial rivalry was a good step in the right direction. It's one of those things though that makes me yearn for a SwSh prequel so we could see more of their rivalry because at the end of the day, SwSh wasn't focusing on their rivalry (compared to their gen 1 counterparts Red and Blue where the story is indeed based around their rivalry) but rather the player and their various rivalries. Now let's get into Twilight Wings, I think this is where their rivalry really begins to shine. Granted we only see it in the last episode in a small animated battle but I think it did real wonders in establishing that Raihan is actually a genuine challenge for Leon. We see in the 3 on 3 matchup that Raihan actually can knock out a good chunk of Leon's strongest Pokemon (and yes I know it's mentioned in the rare league card but it's nice to have that visual proof for backup). It establishes Raihan as a challenge but also why Leon is as strong as he's claimed to be. And then there's Pokemas which in my opinion the best portrayal of their rivalry. I really like how we get some backstory from Raihan's lodge story about their gym challenge. But more importantly I really like how they managed to in some ways even out their rivalry by having Raihan knock out Leon's Charizard in the Galar Neo Champion Event. Sure ultimately his team loses but this is the first time we see Charizard get knocked out by anyone other than the protagonist (Ash in the anime, and then Victor/Gloria). It's something I really want to see more of in rivalries in Pokemon where it doesn't feels so one-sided which I feel like a lot of Pokemon rivalries end up being. Now for the Pokemon Adventures manga, I can't really say too much about their rivalry there because it just wasn't really touched upon much. I do appreciate Kusaka expanding the relationships among the young adult cast (Leon, Raihan, Nessa, Sonia, and Piers in particular) but given how the SwSh arc was set up there wasn't a lot of time to really get into Raihan and Leon's rivalry. Lastly the Pokemon anime...*sigh*. I have mixed feelings on the anime portrayal of the rivalry. On the one hand I really loved the baking episode with Opal. It was nice to see their rivalry translated into something other than Pokemon battles and that they were both competent at baking. That being said I think their rivalry (and Raihan in particular) was done dirty when it came to the PWC. Their only battle being a 1 on 1 didn't help matters much as a 1 on 1 battle isn't useful for assessing the relative strength of two long-time trainers at their caliber (and this of course is a critique I have of many of the early PWC battles). There should've been at least 3 on 3 like the Twilight Wings episode to show that even though Leon is stronger, Raihan can truly pressure him like no one else (bar Ash). I also personally would've switched the masters ranking so that Ash would've faced Alain (and finally triumphed over him) to get into the masters 8 with Raihan taking Alain's spot. Don't get me wrong I think Alain is very strong and in a revised PWC Masters final (which would've been 16 people if I had any say) he'd still be in it. It's just with this Journeys still being the introduction of Galar, and Raihan being hyped up as a champion level gym leader I think Raihan being among the other league champions would've made a huge statement not only for his character but his rivalry with Leon as well.

I think there's a lot of potential for delicious, delicious drama if/when the Teal Mask story comes into play. Kieran would totally crush hard on Scarlet, as she appears to be aloof and mysterious (never mind the fact that she can't take care of her own health). She would in turn have an initial soft spot for him, like when we saw her playing with a lonely little boy and protecting Penny from Team Star.

But as Kieran's more self-centered side slowly comes out, Scarlet in turn would lose patience with him and her own, well, bitchier side would rear its head. And given how Nemona couldn't get a battle out of her despite literally following her around everywhere, that part where Kieran demands a battle over Ogerpon's ownership? Yeah, I doubt Scarlet would even bother, leaving Kieran in an even more fucked up headspace.

I can try, however I SUCK at writing smut. Dog-shit at it. We're talking my immortal levels of writing. I'm also very boring and don't have single dominant bone in my body. That being said, editing and refining goes a long way, so I'll try my best.

Starting off, he's a bit inexperienced, which I mentioned previously. He hasn't been in many relationships, much less been intimate, and he doesn't fuck without feelings. Prefers to take things slow and can get overwhelmed easily at first. That being said, he's a quick learner.

In general, I'd say Leon is a soft dom. He's caring and doting, if not a little shaky at first, but he learns quickly. He has a reputation, if anyone found out, he would die from sheer embarrassment, mainly because his family would find out. He'd never be able to look his mum in the eyes again out of pure shame.

He's much more lenient with nudes, even if leaks can happen. It would still give him a heart attack if anyone found out, but it's far more socially acceptable to be found exchanging steamy pics with your lover than fucking in public. Tends to lean more on the side of thirst trap then full on nudity. Wouldn't make a sex tape.
