Expertise & research in the policy process
The Pew Center on the States, a bipartisan think tank, published a report in 2008 titled “Inaccurate, Costly, and Inefficient Evidence That America’s Voter Registration System Needs an Upgrade.” The data in report has been misrepresented by the President’s Press Secretary as evidence of voter fraud. The President has called for an investigation, claiming that millions of undocumented people have voted illegally during the last election. The media is reporting that there is no serious voter fraud and that President Trump is proposing an investigation over something that is not in fact a policy problem.
You can check the report and the decide for yourself if the President or the media is being truthful: Inaccurate, Costly, and Inefficient Evidence That America’s Voter Registration System Needs an Upgrade
