it’s kinda fascinating going from base game p3 where you notice that Yukari seems to always be paying attention to Mitsuru (out of her misplaced anger, of course)
to the answer/episode aigis where we get the reverse. something i didn’t notice the first time was that Mitsuru seems to ALWAYS be paying attention to Yukari.(Except it is out of concern and care, not anger obviously). I noticed it sometimes, but not as much as I am now. It’s like everything Mitsuru says to Aigis is about Yukari, even if she isn’t being direct.
in fact it almost feels as if Mitsuru is ready to do something rash the entire time if it means supporting Yukari. Obviously she doesn’t know about the keys or anything yet, but she’s always like “i need to use my power to help someone now” and “aigis i’m putting my full trust in you, can you take care of everything if i can’t” kind of things. She’s always watching her, always looking out for her.
And this makes the scene post-colosseum fights even more important and so genuine and kindhearted from Mitsuru. She’s been watching this person who she cares so deeply for in so much pain who is refusing help. And Mitsuru decides she will help in any way possible, even if that means betraying her own morals/instincts (a crazy thing for Mitsuru to do) and the rest of her friends. And she has been prepared to do this from the start, actually. Something I didn’t initially notice was there the entire time.
It all drives me crazy. I could talk about this forever.
