Ascend to the Divine: Do Dham Yatra by Helicopter
In the lap of the majestic Himalayas, two of the holiest shrines of Hinduism—Kedarnath and Badrinath—await those who seek spiritual awakening and divine blessings. The Do Dham Yatra by Helicopter offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience these sacred sites in supreme comfort and serenity. Gone are the days of enduring grueling treks and long waits. Now, you can ascend to the divine—both physically and spiritually—through the skies, embracing a journey that is as soul-stirring as it is luxurious.

The Essence of Do Dham Yatra
The Do Dham Yatra, comprising visits to Kedarnath (dedicated to Lord Shiva) and Badrinath (dedicated to Lord Vishnu), is one of the most spiritually enriching pilgrimages in India. It is believed that completing this sacred journey washes away sins and leads one toward salvation (moksha). Traditionally, the path to these temples has been long and physically challenging, with pilgrims trekking for days through unpredictable weather and rugged terrain.
But with the advent of helicopter services, this divine journey is now accessible to people of all ages, including senior citizens and those with health constraints. And more than just convenience, flying to these shrines brings with it an unparalleled spiritual perspective—literally rising above the world to meet the divine.
Highlights of the Helicopter Do Dham Yatra
Departure from Dehradun: The journey begins from the beautiful city of Dehradun, the gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas. Most premium services offer pick-up and drop-off from Dehradun Airport or helipads.
Kedarnath Darshan: Fly to Kedarnath and land at the designated helipad near the shrine. From there, you are escorted to the temple, where you can perform darshan and rituals without long queues. The views of the snow-covered peaks surrounding the Kedarnath temple are nothing short of magical.
Badrinath Visit: Next, soar to Badrinath, flying over the scenic valleys and rivers of Uttarakhand. After landing, you are taken to the revered Badrinath Temple to offer your prayers in peace and comfort.
Luxurious Comfort & Safety: Helicopter services ensure a smooth, time-efficient, and safe journey. From VIP darshan to warm hospitality, every detail is managed for your comfort.
Return on the Same Day: The entire pilgrimage is designed to be completed in one or two days, making it ideal for busy professionals or elderly devotees.
Why Choose Helicopter for Do Dham Yatra?
Time-Saving: Avoid days of travel and fatigue; complete the yatra in just 1–2 days.
Senior-Friendly: Perfect for elderly pilgrims who cannot endure physical strain.
Exclusive Access: Skip the long lines and crowds with priority darshan arrangements.
Scenic Aerial Views: Witness the Himalayas from a breathtaking aerial perspective—an experience as divine as the destination itself.
Premium Services: Enjoy gourmet meals, local transport, ground support, and accommodation if required.

What is a Private Ambulance?
In the realm of emergency medical services, the term "private ambulance" refers to ambulances operated by private companies rather than government entities. These ambulances provide a range of services, from emergency responses to non-emergency patient transport. Understanding the role and significance of private ambulances, particularly in regions like the UAE, can offer valuable insights into the healthcare landscape.
Definition and Overview
A private ambulance is a vehicle equipped with the necessary medical equipment and staffed by trained medical personnel to provide emergency medical care and transport. Unlike public ambulances, which are typically funded and operated by government health services, private ambulances are run by private companies that may offer various services tailored to the needs of patients.

Types of Private Ambulance Services
Emergency Ambulance Services: These 24 hours ambulance services respond to urgent medical emergencies. They are equipped with advanced medical equipment and staffed by paramedics or emergency medical technicians (EMTs) who can provide immediate medical care. This includes services like cardiac monitoring, trauma care, and advanced airway management.
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation: These services transport patients who require medical attention but do not need immediate emergency care. This may include transporting patients to and from medical appointments, rehabilitation facilities, or hospitals.
Airport Ambulance Services: In busy airports, private ambulances often provide specialized services to cater to passengers in need of medical assistance. These ambulances are equipped to handle emergencies in the airport environment and are trained to navigate the unique challenges of this setting.
The Role of Private Ambulance Services
Private ambulances play a crucial role in the healthcare system, particularly in urban areas and regions with high populations like the UAE. They serve several key functions:
Rapid Response to Emergencies
Private ambulances are designed to respond quickly to emergencies, often providing shorter wait times compared to public services. This is particularly important in scenarios where every second counts, such as cardiac arrests or severe trauma incidents.
Enhanced Patient Care
The personnel in private ambulances are often trained to provide a higher level of care. They may include paramedics and advanced practice providers who can administer medications, perform advanced medical procedures, and provide comprehensive assessments. This focus on patient care can make a significant difference in outcomes during critical situations.
Flexibility and Accessibility
Private ambulance services offer a degree of flexibility that government-run services may not be able to match. They often provide tailored services based on individual patient needs, such as specialized transport for elderly patients, bariatric patients, or those requiring oxygen or intravenous therapy during transport.
Specialized Airport Ambulance Services
At airports, private ambulance services are particularly vital. Airports are bustling environments where medical emergencies can occur suddenly and unexpectedly. Private ambulance companies operating in airports are equipped to handle unique challenges, such as navigating through crowded terminals and providing care in high-stress environments.
These ambulances are often equipped with specialized medical equipment to address the diverse needs of passengers, including those with pre-existing medical conditions, injuries sustained during travel, or acute illnesses. The trained personnel can provide immediate medical attention and, if necessary, arrange for seamless transport to hospitals or clinics.
Regulations and Standards
Private ambulance services must adhere to various regulations and standards to ensure patient safety and high-quality care. In the UAE, the regulatory framework for ambulance services is overseen by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHP) and local health authorities. Key aspects of these regulations include:
Licensing and Certification
Private ambulance companies must obtain the necessary licenses to operate legally. This includes ensuring that all ambulances are equipped with the required medical supplies and equipment. The personnel must also have the appropriate certifications and training to provide emergency medical care.
Quality Assurance
Many private ambulance services implement quality assurance programs to monitor the performance and effectiveness of their operations. This can include regular training for personnel, equipment maintenance checks, and performance evaluations to ensure that high standards of care are consistently met.
Advantages of Using Private Ambulance Services
Quick Access to Care
One of the primary advantages of using a private ambulance is the quick access to care. Whether it is an emergency or a scheduled transport, private ambulances often have shorter response times than their public counterparts, allowing for prompt medical attention.
Comfort and Convenience
Private ambulances are designed with patient comfort in mind. They often offer more spacious interiors and can be equipped with advanced amenities, such as climate control, comfortable seating, and even entertainment options. This focus on comfort is particularly important for non-emergency transports where patients may require longer travel times.
Personalized Service
Private ambulance services often prioritize personalized care, ensuring that patients receive the attention and assistance they need. This can include having medical personnel accompany patients throughout their journey, providing reassurance and support.
Limitations and Considerations
While private ambulances offer numerous benefits, there are some limitations and considerations to keep in mind:
Cost
Private ambulance services can be more expensive than public services, particularly for emergency calls. Patients may need to consider their insurance coverage, as not all policies cover the cost of private ambulance services.
Availability
In some areas, the availability of private ambulances may be limited, especially during peak times or high-demand events. Patients may need to plan accordingly or have contingency options in place.
Conclusion
Private ambulances are an integral component of the emergency medical service landscape, providing essential care and transportation in both urgent and non-urgent situations. They play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive timely medical attention, particularly in environments like airports where the demand for quick response is high. As the healthcare sector in the UAE continues to evolve, private ambulance services are likely to expand their offerings and enhance their capabilities, further solidifying their position as a vital resource in emergency medical care.
Understanding the functions and benefits of private ambulances can help individuals make informed decisions about their healthcare options, ensuring that they have access to the services they need when it matters most. Whether through airport ambulance services or general private ambulance care, these services remain committed to delivering high-quality patient care in times of need.

Everyone, I'm really worried for Mahmoud's family (@mahmoudfamily1) in Gaza. His campaign barely has any donations, and there have been continuous attacks on Nuseirat refugee camp where his 17 family members are staying. I've posted about it here and here. Things have only gotten worse today.
Two houses in Nuseirat have been bombed today, killing at least 13 people and injuring dozen others. A lot of the people killed are women and children. More than one-third of the people martyred today as of right now is from Nuseirat.
In the past few days people in Nuseirat has suffered from drone attacks, air raids, bombing of family homes and ambulances. Mahmoud's family, including several children and a two-year-old baby are stuck in Nuseirat right now. They have no money to evacuate. And in addition to the bombing they also have to deal with the cold, the heavy rain and the shortage of food and clean water.
Mahmoud's campaign is really struggling. Donations are tickling in really slowly and sometimes he doesn't even get 1 donation a day. He hasn't even reached 1% of his campaign goal. The lives 17 people depend on these funds, please donate, and if not at least share so it can reach more people!
Low Funds! Only $1,202 CAD raised of $80,000 goal! Last donation was 17 hours ago!
Mahmoud's campaign is vetted by association. Mahmoud is a friend of @hazempalestine (vetted by @/el-shab-hussein and is listed as #281 on the verified fundraiser list by @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi). I've also been chatting with him extensively both on and off Tumblr. We even follow each other's private IG accounts. Please, I worry about his family.

I work in aviation safety. Let's talk statistics, before the fear mongering train leaves the station.
Around 45,000 flights take off and land in the US every day.
3 aircrafts have crashed in the last week.
That means 99.996% of flights took off and landed without incident. None of those 3 aircrafts were commercial passenger planes, ie none of them were the types of planes you will likely fly on throughout your life. Unless you're in the military, wealthy, or part of a special travel group like a sports team, a diplomat, high-risk prisoner transport, or an air ambulance, you will likely never fly on a private charter flight or military aircraft.
That means all public commercial flights in the US on the days of the recent crashes took off and landed safely, as far as I have been able to find.
Is 2 crashes within a week an absolutely unacceptable number? Yes.
Is this likely connected to the recent firings of the American aviation safety and ATC personnel? Yes.
Is this indicative of a wider trend that I should be worried about as an average citizen of the US, or someone traveling to or within the US? As of now, February 1st, 2025, no. Flying is still, statistically, the safest mode of transportation. Even with the recent crashes included in the numbers, even if you're travelling within the US.
Does this have anything to do with DEI? No. The aviation safety industry has some of the most stringent job training regimens in the world. No one who can't cut it in ATC will get anywhere near an ATC tower, regardless of their minority status. I don't work in ATC, but I'm under the wider aviation safety umbrella, and it took 3 months to finish my training. 18 people started out in my training class and 7 of us passed. No one in an airport terminal can get the badges we wear without passing that along with an INTERPOL background check that we have to do all over again every few years.
Why are you telling me that? Does it really matter if he gutted the ATC? It does, actually. My point is that the people they let work in airports are some of the most competent and capable individuals you can find. You don't cut it if you can't think on your feet or juggle unexpected and unprecedented situations and handle emergencies and contingencies. On average, an air traffic controller handles 5-15 planes at the same time, but they're trained on handling many more in the event of emergencies and unprecedented situations. It's not ideal right now, it's really not, but considering all the things I just told you about aviation safety employees, and the fact that ATC is THE hardest career to cut it in within that umbrella, even the worlds worst air traffic controller is as capable and trustworthy to handle your life as a good neurosurgeon.
And please, please support the american ATCs right now. Just because they CAN handle emergency-level workloads doesn't make it easy or sustainable for long periods of time. Do not blame the ATCs who were handling the crashed flights, it wasn't their fault that they were overworked and overstressed and numbers and directions started scrambling in their heads. They already have to live with what happened for the rest of their lives, they don't need other people making value judgements of them too.

would anyone perhaps enjoy some langdon sickfic/whump? i've been using these as warmups/character voice explorations so enjoy some fainting!frank under the cut.
He hasn’t felt this way since he was a med student doing his surgery rotation. There’s no shortage of students who faint in the OR, and Frank hadn’t escaped being one of them. It was his third year and he still hadn’t mastered the art of standing on his feet for more than twelve hours a day yet, and he passed out around hour nine on his fourth twelve-hour consecutive shift in the OR. It was embarrassing, and one of the many reasons he could never be a surgeon. Garcia had still been giggling about it during their lectures the following day.
But now, he’s a fourth-year resident, again, and he can’t point to what it is, but he feels like he’s got bricks attached to his feet and his head weighs like a boulder. It hurts, and he feels weak. They just finished up intubating an MVC patient who’s on their way up to surgery, so he heads to the central console to check the board.
The floor spins when he moves, or the air distorts, and it does not feel good. In fact, it feels like he needs to be somewhere private very quickly.
“Hey, McKay, I’m just going to take ten. Grab me if you need me?” He says breathlessly, passing Cassie at the central console. She doesn’t look up from her iPad, brows furrowed.
“Yeah, of course,” she’s saying, but it sounds distant.
He moves quickly across the ED and grabs onto the door of the on-call room into the hallway, placing his weight onto it as it swings open. The room is dark, and he manages to hit the lights and shut the door behind him before he’s doubling over, putting his head between his legs. One hand on the wall, he leans forward, attempting to take deep breaths, but it feels like everything in his body is pulling down. He groans, deep and involuntary, as his vision clouds with white and the floor disappears, until he just drops, and everything goes dark.
Abbot is standing at the central console looking at his watch. His lips are pursed, and he’s got one hand on a hip.
“Dana, where is Langdon?” He asks, “he has patients.”
She looks up from the monitor and throws a glance around.
“I don’t know, he said he was taking a ten minute break and he hasn’t come back yet.”
He gives her a serious look.
“You’re kidding,” he says, and she shakes her head. “Okay, well, shit. I’m going to go find him.”
She nods and goes back to the monitor as Abbot jogs off.
He checks the breakroom first, and no dice. He checks the ambulance bay and there are a couple of nurses hanging around smoking, but no one has seen Langdon. It’s worrying him. Langdon is usually loud and easy to spot, he’s not a subtle person, even if he’s toned it down since coming back from rehab.
“Hey, Samira, have you seen Langdon?” He touches her softly on the elbow to get her attention. She spins around from her desk, confused expression on her face.
“No, why?”
“He might have gone walk-abouts, let me know if you see him?” He points to her, walking backward, as he continues his lap of the ED.
“Yeah, of course,” she shouts back at him.
There’s no sign of him anywhere on the floor. He checks the stairwell next, and he’s not there either. That was Abbot’s bet, he knows Langdon likes to loiter there after a tough call. It just leaves the on-call room and the roof. He hopes for the former and not the latter, Robby might murder him if he found out that happened on his shift. He goes back into the ED and around to the opposite hallway where the door to the on-call room is. It’s towards the back of the hospital so it’s a little quieter and has less traffic outside. He knocks, and hearing no answer, pushes open the door.
Langdon is on the floor on his side with his head lolled backwards and his mouth open. His skin is drained of colour, and he’s drooling.
“Oh, fucking shit – shit,” Abbot hisses, and scrambles down the floor, pressing a couple of fingers to his neck to get his pulse. It’s there, but it’s weaker, and he rubs Langdon’s sternum with one hand while he picks his phone out of his pocket, pressing the number to call the nurse station in the ED. “Langdon collapsed in the on-call room,” he barks, “send me whoever is available and a gurney.”
Langdon moans on the floor, rubbing his feet together.
“Hey, Langdon, come on, wake up for me, man,” he says, and he gets another moan in response. If he’s OD’d on his shift, Abbot is never going to be able to forgive himself.
Collins appears from around the corner with McKay and Donohue, snapping on gloves. They’re wearing grim expressions on their faces.
“What happened?” Collins asks, worried, glancing at Abbot and kneeling next to him.
“I don’t know he seemed fine and then he came in here and passed out apparently,” he says, gesturing with his hand. She shakes Langdon’s shoulder,
“Hey, Frank, can you hear me?”
“Wha--,” he groans and she sighs, relieved.
“Okay, let’s get him up on the bed,” he looks at Donnie and directs him forward with the gurney. They heave him up together and Abbot places a hand over his heart as they wheel him toward the ED. “Dr. Langdon, did you take anything?” He asks, raising his voice.
“I don’t – what’s happening,” Langdon groans and his head drops back again, body going limp.
“Okay, fainting spells, send his blood for labs and monitor his blood pressure. Someone watch him and make sure he doesn’t need Narcan.” He looks at McKay and she nods.
They put him in one of the quieter rooms at the back of the ED, as much out of sight as possible.
Donnie straps on the blood pressure cuff and all of their eyes are fixed on the machine until it beeps and comes back with 80/60.
“Well, that would do it,” Donnie says, and Collins touches her fingers to the inside of his wrist to check his heart rate again.
“IV fluids, as fast as possible, please,” she says and Donnie nods, setting up the rack and the bag.
“Fucking idiot probably hasn’t eaten all day,” Abbot scrapes his hands over his face.
They get the line in quickly and fire his blood test off, fast tracking it through the queue, and by then he’s coming around.
“What happened?” He says, groggy. Collins sighs from his bedside.
“You fainted. Repeatedly.”
“Ugh, shit,” he says, bringing a hand up to push his hair off his face.
“Yeah,” she says, unimpressed, “you aren’t an intern, Frank, you know to eat enough.”
“I’m in a hospital bed, can you let me live for one minute,” he moans, and she huffs.
“We thought you overdosed.” She says quietly and looks down at her hands. His eyes flick from the ceiling to her, his face serious.
“Shit, Collins, I didn’t mean to scare you guys,” he laughs drily, “today was just me being an idiot.”
“Yeah, you are. And you need to eat enough.” She pats his knee. “I’m going to look after your patients. After Abbot checks you over, you’re going home.”

Wait for me
In every life. I’ll find you. 1540 Words.
The stage lights were blinding, as they always were. You stood at the back of the crowd, heart pounding in sync with the bass reverberating through the venue. George was on stage, mic in hand, his voice making the audience laugh. There was something transcendent about watching him perform—he commanded the room with ease, his charisma radiating across every laugh and cheer.
This wasn’t his usual setup of gaming videos or commentary. This was his podcast tour—live, raw, and intimate. Watching him like this was like seeing a different version of him, one that the rest of the world adored but you knew better than anyone.
At one point, his eyes swept the crowd and landed on you. His lips quirked into a small, private smile before he looked away, continuing his bit with Max and Andrew . That tiny moment was yours, a tether in the whirlwind of flashing lights and screaming fans.
As the show wrapped up, the crowd erupted in applause. George and the boys waved goodbye, bowing theatrically before disappearing backstage. You lingered by the side door, the crisp November air biting at your cheeks. The venue lights glowed dimly behind you as you waited, the hum of post-show chatter fading into the distance.
The door creaked open, and George appeared. His hair was damp from the heat of the stage, his cheeks flushed and his smile tired but genuine.
“There you are,” he said, pulling you into his arms.
“You did amazing,” you murmured, your face pressed against his chest.
“You always say that.”
“And I always mean it.”
He chuckled softly, his voice low and warm. “Let’s mcget out of here.”
The tour was grueling. The pace of travel, rehearsals, and endless fan interactions was wearing on George. You could see it in the way his shoulders slumped when he thought no one was looking, or how he fell asleep mid-sentence during quiet moments.
“You need a break,” you told him one evening as he sat at the hotel desk, his laptop glowing faintly in the dark room.
“I can’t,” he replied, not even looking up. “The next show’s sold out, and I have edits due for the channel for a few brand deals too, It’s fine.”
“It’s not fine, and you know that. You’re running yourself into the ground.”
“I’m okay,” he insisted, but the cracks were showing.
You watched helplessly as he pushed himself harder, your protests bouncing off the wall of his determination.
The collapse happened during a recording session in his makeshift studio. You heard the sound of a chair scraping and a heavy thud, and when you rushed in, George was on the floor, pale and unresponsive.
The ambulance ride was a blur. His friends arrived at the hospital shortly after you, their faces pale and tense. The waiting room was suffocatingly silent, the only sounds the faint buzz of fluorescent lights and your own uneven breathing.
Hours passed before a doctor finally emerged. “He’s stable,” they said. “But his body’s been under immense stress. He needs complete rest.”
Relief flooded through you, but it was short-lived. When you saw him lying in the hospital bed, hooked up to monitors, his usual energy replaced with exhaustion, your heart broke.
“You scared me,” you whispered, gripping his hand tightly.
He cracked a faint smile, his voice barely above a whisper. “Sorry, love.”
“This isn’t funny, George. You have to stop.”
“I know.”
But you weren’t sure he truly did.
Recovery was slow and frustrating for him. George hated being idle, hated feeling like he was letting people down. But you were firm, forcing him to rest even when he protested.
One evening, as you curled up on the sofa, his head in your lap, he sighed deeply.
“I don’t know who I am without this,” he admitted, his voice soft.
“You’re still George, you’re still you” you said, running your fingers through his hair. “You don’t have to prove anything to anyone. Not to me, not to them.”
He looked up at you, his eyes glassy. “What if I’m not enough?”
“You are,” you said firmly. “You always have been.”
But just as things seemed to be getting better, he began to withdraw again.
One night, he told you about a dream.
“We were together,” he said, his voice low, “but then you were gone. I kept calling for you, but I couldn’t find you.”
“You’ll always find me,” you promised, cupping his face.
“Promise me something,” he said, his eyes searching yours.
“Anything.”
“No matter what happens, don’t stop fighting for me.”
“I promise.”
One day, as you were tidying up his studio, you found a note tucked between the pages of his planner. It was scribbled in his messy handwriting, and your heart clenched as you read it:
“What if I can’t do it anymore? What if I’m not good enough anymore ?”
Tears blurred your vision as you clutched the note to your chest.
You tried to talk to him that night.
“I found your note,” you said, your voice tentative as you sat beside him on the sofa.
He tensed, his eyes darting to the floor. “I didn’t mean for you to see that.”
“George,” you said, placing a hand on his arm. “You don’t have to carry this alone.”
He shook his head, his jaw tightening. “You wouldn’t understand.”
“Try me,” you pleaded, your voice breaking.
For a moment, he looked at you, his eyes filled with so much pain it made your chest ache.
“I’m scared,” he admitted finally. “What if I let everyone down? What if I let you down?”
“You could never let me down,” you said firmly, cupping his face in your hands. “I love you, George. That’s all that matters.”
But love wasn’t enough to stop what came next.
It happened one quiet afternoon, a rare day off where you were both home. George had been in his studio all morning, working on something he wouldn’t let you hear yet.
“I’ll come out in a bit,” he’d said when you brought him a cup of tea. “Just need to finish this.”
But when you checked on him hours later, he was slumped over his desk, unresponsive.
The ambulance arrived within minutes, but it felt like an eternity as you sat by his side, clutching his hand and begging him to wake up.
He didn’t.
The doctors said it was his heart, weakened from years of stress and neglect. You couldn’t process their words.
George was gone.
The man who made you laugh until your stomach hurt, who held you close when you were scared, who promised he’d always find you—he was gone. The world moved on, but you couldn’t. His absence was a void you didn’t know how to fill. His friends tried to help—Chris and Chip checked in constantly, Arthur sent you food, Freezy offered to cover your work responsibilities—but nothing could replace George.
The emptiness that followed was unbearable. The funeral, the condolences, the quiet that settled in the wake of his absence—it all felt like a cruel joke. His studio became a shrine, untouched except for the nights when you’d sit in his chair, headphones on, playing his last recordings.
One night, as you sat in his studio, the familiar scent of him surrounding you, you pressed play on his laptop. The screen lit up with a video file, the title simply reading: For Her.
George’s face appeared, his smile bittersweet as he looked into the camera.
“Hey, love,” he said softly. “If you’re watching this… I guess I’m not there anymore.”
Tears streamed down your face as his voice filled the room.
“I’m sorry,” he continued, his voice cracking. “I didn’t mean to leave you like this. But I need you to know that you were my everything. You still are. And I’ll always find you… somehow.”
As the video ended, you clutched the screen to your chest, his words echoing in your mind. That night, as you drifted into yet another restless sleep, you heard it:
“I’ll always find you.”
Your heart raced. “George?”
The air felt charged, as if he was there, just out of reach.
Desperation gripped you. You turned to myths, legends, anything that might give you a way to bring him back.
It was impossible, but so was hearing his voice.
“George!” you cried, running to him.
He turned, his face lighting up with a mix of shock and relief. “You found me.”
“I promised,” you said, throwing your arms around him.
But the reunion was fleeting. A voice boomed: “To take him back, you must follow the path and never look back. If you do, he will be lost forever.”
You nodded, your grip on George’s hand tightening.
The journey back was agonizing. The whispers grew louder, taunting you, but you kept your gaze forward. As you neared the threshold, the urge to look back became unbearable. You could feel George’s presence, but doubt crept in.
“Don’t stop,” his voice urged.
Finally, you stepped into the light. But the moment you turned, George’s face lit with love—and then dissolved into the shadows.
“I’m sorry,” you sobbed.
But his voice lingered, soft and unyielding: “I’ll always find you. In every life.”

That damm skiing
Summary: Your skiing trip with Lando takes a slightly different turn
Word Count: 1k
Warnings: Nothing bad, some mentions of a ski accident
A/N
Two in a day, woah I don't know what magical motivation fairy visited me but here we are haha.
Hope you enjoy reading it, (P.S. I couldn’t find a good photo of him skiing but snow is snow so yeah)
Love you guys Magdi <3

Lando asked if you wanted to join him on a ski trip last minute. One of his friends couldn't go, so a spot opened for you.
You and Lando haven't been together for that long. So when he asked if you wanted to join, you politely declined, stating you didn't want to intrude on his friend group.
He agreed, even if he wasn't happy with your answer. But after he told you that you could go with them, you couldn't say no to his sweet face and the excitement in his eyes.
That brings you to where you are right now, cuddled up against Lando in a private chat he rented, chatting with Pietra about god knows what.
After you landed, the group made its way to the hotel so you could unpack everything and head to the ski resort as soon as possible.
The room was beautiful, with big windows overlooking the wintery mountain scenery you were in. Lando flopped down on the big fluffy bed as soon as you unlocked the door.
Chuckling, you let your bags fall to the floor and jump on top of him, sprawling out like a starfish.
"Hmpf, baby get off your getting heavy."
Gasping, you sit up, looking at him with an offended expression. "Are you implying that I'm to heavy for your 'overly athletic body' ?!"
Grabbing your waist, he makes you sit on his lap. "What's up with the air quotes? I have an overly athletic body. Look at me!"
He's gesturing all over his body, flexing his biceps in front of your face, and you could've sworn your mouth started to water. But before anything other than 'heavy cuddling' could happen, you heard Max banging his fist on the door that connects your rooms.
"OI, GET YOUR ASSES UP, OR WE'RE GOING WITHOUT YOU!"
Sighing at the same time, you and Lando get up and start to get dressed in your ski clothes.
You spent the whole afternoon skiing or trying to ski (cough, cough, Lando trying to stop cough, cough). Lando's friends were great. They tried to include you as much as possible, which made you feel welcome.
After a quick lunch and some hot drinks, Lando and Max wanted to ski down the more difficult slopes while the rest of you stayed back, not trusting your skills enough to come unharmed out of this.
"BABE COME ON, IT'S NOT AS HARD AS IT LOOKS!"
Lando screamed up to you. He had the crazy idea that it would be fun to ski the most difficult slope, stating it would be 'really fun'.
After some bribing, you finally caved and started to ski down. At first, it was not that bad, you even managed to pick up some speed. But suddenly, you lost control, and the only thing you saw was white.
Lando watched the horrifying scene unfold in front of him, got out of his skis and ran up to you as fast as he could.
"Baby, baby are you ok?!"
Groaning, you turn to look at him as you felt strong pain surge through your right leg. Crying out in pain, you looked at him with a scared look.
"Lando, my leg hurts so much, I think I broke it."
"Okok I'm calling help. I'm right here, baby. Don't worry!"
Your friends started to gather around you, worried about your well-being.
A ski ambulance brought you and Lando down and transferred you to the nearest hospital after your leg didn't stop swelling.
Now, you were lying in a hospital room waiting for the test results of your x-ray. Lando was beside you, feeling immensely guilty for convincing you to ski down there.
"Y/N I'm so incredibly sorry for that."
Tightening your hand around his, you looked at his face. Now, really noticing his guilty expression, and how he wasn't able to look into your eyes.
"Hey baby, look at me. It's true, that wasn't one of your brightest ideas, but I was still the one who skied down there, so it's not your fault."
Thinking for a second, you add," Ok maybe a bit."
Giggling slightly, the two of you cuddled closer together, still waiting to know what was wrong with you.
It turned out that you broke your leg, not bad enough to need surgery but bad enough to need a cast and crutches.
It was late at night when you and Lando arrived at the hotel. Your friends went back a few hours ago, not wanting to have all the fun without you. He wrote hourly updates into the group chat to let them know what was happening.
They all waited for you in the hotel lobby, not wanting to leave you alone. It touched you as Pietra immediately came up to you, asking how you were doing.
After explaining everything, you all decided to call it a night and discuss the rest of your trip tomorrow as sleep started to catch up on all of you.
Lando did everything in his power to make you as comfortable as possible. He built a literal pillow-fort in your bed, helping you into comfy clothes and prompting your leg up to make you as pain-free as possible.
Even after what you told him in the hospital, the guilt was still eating him alive. He felt terrible as your scared face flashed up in his memories again.
Looking to his left, he saw you typing something on your phone, the white cast looking out from under the blanket.
Sitting back, he wrapped his arms around you, nuzzling his head into your hair, breathing in your scent.
"You ok?"
His muffled voice rang to your ears. Looking up at him, you answered his question with a nod and a soft smile.
Cuddling back into his embrace, you felt sleep slowly taking over your body. The last thing you heard was Lando's voice saying, "That damm skiing", before sleep took over completely.

Everyone in Hyakkao Private Academy knew that Midari was insane when it went to gambling. It was not about the money, she only accepted life and death ones. But this time she overdid it. Midara was not seen at school from the very morning. As students were worried, that something happened to her, Sayaka from student council told Yumeko and Ryota to search for her. Yumeko hated Midari, but she accepted the request. She went to dorm to Midari's room, but it was locked. She used the bobby pin to use it as a lockpick. When she entered Midari's room, she couldn't believe it. Midari was lying on her bed with her midriff and cleavage exposed and AED pads hooked to her chest. "How is this possible? AEDs shouldn't shock you when your heart beats regularly." She noticed that AED was hooked to another device. Midari hacked AED so it could shock her, when the random pre-set number was drawn. It was like a russian roulette but with defibrillator. Yumeko was furious. "I knew you were stupid and crazy but now you have done it." She unhooked the AED from device. "But even if I hate you, even you don't deserve to die." She called Ryota and told him to call for an ambulance and bring Sayaka, because situation is really dangerous. She gave two rescue breaths to Midari and started doing chest compressions. "I only hope the defibrillator can shock her now, when I unplugged it". - she thought while giving her pushing her chest. She tried turning off and on the AED and it said "Analyzing heart rhythm, do not touch the patient" Yumeko stood away from Midari. "Shock advised. Charging, stand clear" A loud beeping sound filled the room. "Stand clear. Push shock button." When Yumeko pressed the shock button, Midari's body shook and Yumeko checked pulse on Midari's neck. There was no pulse. Yumeko was relieved, that AED worked correctly. She continued CPR. While Yumeko was resuming, Midari's eyes faintly opened and she started gasping for air. Those were not normal breaths. Also her arms were moving strangely. "Is she coming back?" Yumeko stopped compressions and tried to reach Midari, but soon after she stopped, Midari's eyes closed again. "Damn, it's not enough". Yumeko continued CPR. Another shock was ready, so Yumeko stood away once again. During second shock, Midari's chest jumped violently. After Yumeko checked, that there was no pulse, she continued CPR, but deep inside she was afraid it was hopeless situation. Yumeko said - "I hope you survive. I hope you survive, because I want to yell a lecture in your face." Post scriptum: Kakegurui is still yet to be continued, but secretly I hope that there will be a scene where Midari is shocked by AED(no nudity of course). That would be totally fitting for her character.
