I'm losing my mind over the 100 mil dragon having finally happened

Like. I wasn't around for it but Holy Shit. If you're not into IDs I need you to understand how special this is. We went up a digit. All IDs are 9-digit now

For us to see an event like this again there would need to be another 900 million dragons born, which is an absolutely mind-boggling number and also completely out of the reasonable lifespan of any website

This Is It. Some of you were here early enough to see the rollover from 7-digits to 8-digits, or even 6-digits to 7-digits and so on and so forth. Most of us weren't. But you were here for the dawn of 9-digits and you will never see something like this occur ever again for as long as Flight Rising exists

the presence of midnight and rock is partially why im drawn to rewriting dovewings silence also. the book is actually somewhat clever about using them because it starts off with them overlooking the carnage of the great battle and then wandering off and dovewing has this little moment that's like "...Ok. they're just going to leave us?" and it's reprised in the end when jayfeather drags her and lionblaze to the moonpool to investigate their powers being gone and rock and midnight show up to say they can't do anything about it and that the three's purpose has been served. so in a way they did just leave everyone in the dark again

however most importantly theres the way the two are described which is extremely interesting to me

particularly the weird "primordial emptiness" they reside in (i havent read actual oots in ages, is this consistent in all their appearances? i only ever remember them showing up in starclan or in the real world) and the "mismatched lumpen" descriptor. a few lines later midnight says this

i know people like to be pedantic about warrior cats lore and want to see some kind of "afterlife hierarchy" and know about the exact origins of rock and midnight but honestly i really like the mystical nearly biblical "first human carved from clay" thing they have going on. perfectly fine by me. needs no elaboration. i like the mystery of it.

Finally finished my second silly little progen AFTER NINE YEARS. IM SORRY PINKPONK

She originally rolled with straight up disgusting colours, I think she was something like Fuchsia/Flaxen/Crocodile, it was BAD. I rerolled her years ago, and she got a fun combo of Driftwood/Seafoam/Mulberry. She didn't have her primary or tert for years, and I only finished her now because I bought too many copies of gecko and blend.

I named her when I was still a little bebe, and idk why but Pinkponk just fit her, especially with her attrocious colour scheme. Nowadays I don't want to change it because it has a fun ring to it.

I think she's a technomancer and has special gloves that let her summon familiars. That's the vibe I'm getting from her

Another design that had eluded me for years, this one undoubtedly one of the most important out of my FR dragons: my random progen, Aruna. I've gone through multiple unposted iterations with her over the years, never quite feeling any of them, until this one struck the other day

I'm not the biggest fan of this paper, but the Derwent Coloursoft pencils never disappoint. I missed drawing. This is the first full piece I've made since I moved in September and I'm happy that it exists
