On the internet I often say that I find things hilarious when in actuality I only find them mildly amusing. In this case, however, I am literally laughing at the widespread and highly predictable fandom instinct to react to beautiful twinks with an impulse to inflict violence. It's like a lion spotting a gazelle. Twink!Irabu has comparatively little screen time compared to the child and the bear. But he's there. And that's enough. He awakens the predator instinct. And so of course there is fanart of him being brutalized. Fans see such characters and go, "Oh! He's cute! I want him naked and bleeding in a back alley."

I'm not intending to kink shame here. I'm really not. I totally get it. It's just so, so funny to me for some reason.
