so i had this prucan fic idea from middle school i wanna revisit where matthew lives in an apartment where the previous tenant (gilbert) died like a decade earlier (possible unintentional OD) and now lives as a ghost in parallel to matthew in Their apartment and he knows way more about matthew than he would ever know LOL that is until

So my AU idea—

It’s not a 1:1 comparison of the story/characters for obvious reasons 🫥 spvtw has got its own issues but AnYwAy:

Our boy Matthew takes the place of Scott Pilgrim as he attempts to win the heart of Ramona Flowers *cough cough I mean* Tolys! And by defeating his seven evil exes. The ideas for the exes are as follows (some I’m more certain of than others):

Eduard: kinda iffy on this one, but I could see him fighting with the nyos as a tie in to the “demon hipster chicks”.

ALFRED: need I say more? American movie star slash skating star played in the movie by Chris evans of Captain America fame???? Match made in heaven.

Feliks: so this one gets interesting. Tolys and Feliks are exes, but who is the singer of The Clash at Demonhead? The ex of Matthew and current gf of Tolys ex #3? I think Ukraine. The vegan (or whatever else gives Feliks his special powers) police are Czechia and Slovakia.

Natalya: “You had a straight phase?” I think we’d all prefer this battle to play out like in the comics instead of… what happened in the movies 😬. But I also think she would totally rock Roxanne’s outfit!

Lovino & Feliciano: So these two I feel like is the biggest stretch, esp since I’ve never really seen any feli/ tolys stuff but dangit I needed another pair of siblings Tolys has some connection to and I’m starting to run out 😭. When it comes to the battle of the bands, I keep imagining some kind of Måneskin thing for them & I think that’s be sick.

When it comes to ideas for a Knives Chau-ish character (bc euugh Scott why) the ppl who came to mind were either like, Ludwig or Gilbert. Who are in college at least. I’d be leaning towards Gilbert because of the prucan precedent and because of Tolys and Gilbert already having somewhat of a rivalry. He’d be some kind of international grad student or something.

For other characters I…. Havent thought about as much 😅. Sex Bo-Bomb would probably consist of a bunch of Matthew’s friends/exes who haven’t already been giving roles.

If I were to develop this more, I think it could be cool to expand on the music aspect of it, esp with alternative punk/rock/whateva music from the different countries. My knowledge of that is kinda limited but I’d love to learn more about it!

So yeah! That’s the bulk of my idea. Ya mentioned reading it as a fanfic but I think it could work as a real fun hetagame too! If I wasn’t bogged down with other projects & hetagame ideas I’d make it mself. Until then imma keep rolling it around in my brain and maybe draw Tolys with a bunch of different hair colors.

They seem like polar opposites but are actually more similar than one might think (SUCH an original headcanon I know). I mean they ARE polar opposites bot not 100%.

Neither of them is into PDA but Gilbert likes to occasionally tease Matthew like he brushes their hands together or even holds Matthew's hand :3

Both of them get easily flustered but Matthew gets flustered just a bit easier. Like his whole face gets red and he gets quiet and tries to cover his face but not making it too obvious. It entertains Gilbert to no end.

Matthew is taller and has more muscle (all that hockey) so Gilbert loves to lean on him and cling onto him. He's quite clingy when it comes to Matthew. Like a lot of the time when they're alone they spend it by each other's side not necessarily doing anything together but are next to each other or at least in the same room.

And they love each other soooooooooo muuuuuuuccch *giggles* like they stay in contact throughout the day and they send each other texts - speaking about texts; Gilbert is the emoji user in the relationship. Matthew occasionally uses an emoji or two.

Gilbert needs a bit more reassurance than Matthew so Matthew makes sure to remind Gilbert that he loves him and such and it's not like Gilbert feels unloved by Matthew but he'd really thankful that Matthew keeps things like this in mind.

They are "the overdressed boyfriend vs the underdressed boyfriend" in my head Gilbert has like the metalhead-ish style or early 2000s emo while Matthew's style is more sporty.

Neither of them is really into the idea of having kids. But they would be such good parents I think. Like at the beginning they would be very lost and panic a lot especially if the kid they adopted was still a baby but I think they would make a great team. Ludwig would probably occasionally babysit so the two of them could go on dates and such.

They remind me of a late summer evening, the sun is setting and you're outside (in a park, maybe even a park near the sea) and it's the temperature is just a little above perfect. There's sounds of people talking and laughing and the occasional sound of traffic can be heard through it. There's a rock concert of a small band not too far away and it just started and you can feel the bass in your chest. You're away from the bigger crowd and the wind is gentle helping you cool down a bit. You can smell the cooking/ baking from the various stalls/ booths outside. The day is ending but the real fun is just starting and the night is young and whatnot.

Ludwig isn't used to seeing people that are taller than him so when he sees Berwald he's kinda surprised and kinda flustered hehehe. So in this case Berwald immediately stands out to Ludwig. They have to work together and decide to go out for drinks one time. Berwald isn't really a heavy drinker but Ludwig doesn't want to be nervous so he relies on alcohol to calm his nerves. BUUUUTTT he ends up saying sth about how handsome Berwald is and the next day he remembers and it's soooo embarrased.

It's really hard to make Berwald blush or make him flustered but Ludwig becomes flustered SO easily. Like the smallest things Berwald does make his face go red.

Neither of them are too into PDA but Berwald likes holding Ludwig's hand when he can and Ludwig never pulls away. They share a lot of the same interests like football or old time movies or going on hikes.

While they're both hard workers their home life is more slow paced. Their place is always tidy and clean. They both enjoy cooking but Berwald is better at it.

THEY HAVE THREE DOGS. They're all different from each other. They are also basically their kids.

They really like winter because even though they look like serious business men on the outside on the inside they are just a couple of dudes who like to snuggle together while watching christmas movies.

They behave like an old married couple who is soooo in love even before they are old or married. They do get married eventually but they don't have a religious ceremony.

They exchange loving glances and stares and soft smiles.

The way I would describe them is a sunny winter morning in January. Like imagine you're in a cabin in the mountains and there's snow outside and you wake up and it's sunny and the sun shines through your kitchen and it's peaceful and quiet and your kitchen is tidy and your lover sits across from you and the sun shines on their face and their eyes look even prettier in the early morning light. Radio is playing some old song and then you hear the sound of water on the stove boiling so you get up to prepare the morning cup of coffee and yea. I'm so normal about them.

NA Bros Headcanon:

Matthew is a badass in so many ways, but he also has social anxiety, so he has Alfred make all of his phone calls for him.

Alfred is not very good at making phone calls bc he has a horrible memory, and he'll be like "what did you want me to ask again?" Like six times during the conversation, and then after the conversation when Matthew asks him what he learned he's like "Uh..." and then has forgotten that, too. Or just says the wrong thing.

SO, Matthew has gotten in the habit of leaning in really close to listen to both sides of the conversation or making him do it over speakerphone.
