can confirm she definitely does NOT use ai for her writing! she taps everything on that google doc on her ipad with her own hands. we share the same room and i have witnessed her genius! if there's a way to prove this for her future writings she would want to know.

Hello again, Waffle!! It’s great to see you again!!! I genuinely appreciate that you, and others who used to follow me, understand that my writing isn’t created with AI. In hindsight, I realise I may have overreacted to the accusation, but it affected me deeply in a way that’s still difficult to explain.

With time, I hope I’ll be able to move past those feelings and perhaps return to sharing my work, though I can’t say for certain just yet.

That said, I’m feeling much better now, and I really hope you’ve been doing well too :3

Reading through @pukefactory's stuff gave me inspiration to write about someone from our world getting stuck in ENA’s world and partnering with her.

First, they’re terrified. They certainly want to get help, but 1) they’re too scared to ask any of these weird entities, and 2) when they do muster up the courage to ask, only maybe 15% of this world’s population speak English, and the main character doesn’t have the innate multilingualism that this world’s native inhabitants seem to. So, they sorta just wander around for a bit, freaking out as quietly as they can, until ENA takes an interest in them.

She offers to help them, and as MC explains their situation in more detail, she offers to basically take them in as her assistant. Of course, ENA comes across as a shifty conman, and MC’s alarm bells definitely go off (well, more than they already were), but like… what choice do they have? So, they take a deep breath and accept.

Now they actually have a key to their survival, and that key is ENA. Whether this makes them more or less comfortable than they were when they were alone is up for debate. Sure, now they have a clear path to surviving in this strange world, but that path is working very closely under a person they don’t trust in the slightest.

So, for a while, they keep their head down and do as they’re told. They’re afraid of what she might do if she isn’t completely pleased at all times. Even if she doesn’t hurt them directly (which she still very much could, make no mistake!), she could just abandon them, and then where would they be?

Imagine the first time they see her Meanie side. Imagine if that first time is her yelling at them. How terrifying would that be, having the person who holds your life in their crystalline claws be furious with you? I’m not sure how she reacts to them cowering in terror, whether it would irritate her more or if she softens up. Maybe she doesn’t go back to her salesperson side (she is still pissed at them, after all), but she does take a breath and lower her voice.

In any case, while MC does do their best to be a good worker, they do still gradually get genuinely closer with ENA. Slowly, ENA’s demeanor towards them grows from just being a friendly salesman/boss to actually wanting to get to know them and maybe even outright kindness. She’s never had a relationship before, so it’ll be messy, and of course there’s still the power imbalance that they would need to have a real discussion about as soon as the two are ready, but the relationship grows slowly but surely.

Meanwhile, as ENA’s becoming more and more of a friend to MC, they also start to relax a bit. Trust takes a long, long time to build, but they grow to genuinely enjoy her company. They talk to her about the world they come from, and the two ask questions about each other’s worlds and the lives they led before. She’s there when they get too worked up, stepping in for them if it’s a social situation or cheering them up with a joke.

They help calm her down, too. When she wakes from a nightmare or when her meanie side has been in control for too long, they’re there to bring her back down to earth. After all, these are things that someone from our world can understand.

Speaking of which, I think the way to get the relationship started would be for MC to see ENA’s more human aspects. At first, they see her almost as like an extension of this world: incomprehensible, unpredictable, strange and new and terrifying and something they’re stuck with. ENA takes some time to open up, too. While she isn’t afraid in the same way as MC, she isn’t really used to being close with anyone. She probably hides her true feelings behind the silly faux-eloquence of her salesperson side and the yelling and insults of her meanie side. But whether she slips up in her facades or opens up deliberately, MC sees bit by bit who she is deep down, and she’s shockingly human.

First things first, it's important to remember that Kane is a party animal first and foremost. As a result, he ends up pulling you along to whatever celebrations are going on. Quality time is definitely his love language, and partying hard is what he spends the most time doing. What could be better than mixing the two things he loves most? Dancing while drunk, getting lost in the moment and in each other... This is what the relationship is all about to him: passion and good times.

He really perks up when you tag along with him to whatever (potentially illegal) event he's had his eyes on. "Just let them know that you're with me! They know me. AAAH, this is going to be amazing! Are you ready to party hearty?!" When you arrive at the event he not-so-subtly shows you off to everyone you two meet like you're an attraction. "Look closely! Observe the sparkling eyes and beautiful hair of a rare creature from faraway lands! And they're all mine! HA! Suckers!"

If you're an introvert, he'll be the kind of person who works at coaxing you out of your shell. He won't say it to you this way, but he'll feel responsible, oddly enough, for you living an exhilarating life, and he firmly believes that's worth any amount of trouble you two end up getting into. "The book will still be sleeping like a sluggard when you get back. But a party runs when you approach. Let's go! Let's chase that wild animal!" He'll take your hand and pull you through whatever portal leads to something exciting. If you're feeling like staying in, he's gonna literally carry you there. Kane can be kind of insensitive towards your desires to recharge your social batteries, but at the end of the day he just wants to save you from becoming a wallflower. And not the ones that grow in holy gardens and talk to you about sharing a spot of tea with them.

If you don't wanna go with him and you really dig your heels in, he really will just go without you. But he'll hesitate with his coin-hand on the door handle. "Last chance! Last last chance! I'm really gonna be going now. Fun is calling. I'm really gonna be going." He'll get to the event that he wanted to go to so bad but he won't be having as much fun as he thought he would without you. He'll be dancing with moth breakdancers and challenging an origami jester to a party popper eating contest and he'll win, coin-arms held triumphantly in the air and dancing, but his mouth will be a straight line the whole time. He’ll get home to find you asleep already and he’ll woozily sit next to the bed without saying anything, feeling like there's something he should be learning from this, but struggling to grasp it due to his being slightly… “sedated”.

From then on, he tries to make you feel more included in the activities you two do together. If you want to stay home, he's learned to adjust to that now. But you have to remember that he's an energetic guy and you’ll have to meet him there or he will go crazy. He'll be busting out playing cards, dice or some sort of polyhedron with glowing dots on it and meet you halfway. If you have work to do then he will always be fiddling with something, throwing a ball at the wall over and over or eating something illegal.

If you’re an extrovert, you and Kane feed off each other’s energy. When the sky is dark, you two will run around and take turns trying to be louder than each other. Kane will try to make you laugh as he approaches strangers and confuses them with parlor tricks. Once in a while, he’ll pull a nasty trick and con someone out of some money or a magical sandwich, or something. You know that it’s serious once he does it, but it’s hard to be strait-laced about it; Kane makes some seriously ridiculous faces when he’s nervous. When things get dangerous, Kane takes you by the hand and runs. You two bolt through secret passageways and climb through windows, laughing like maniacs all the way home while the entity who was about to turn you two into corpses has no choice but to take their licks and move on.

Kane doesn’t outright say it, but he loves teaching you things. Something about the way your face lights up in surprise when he shows you a secret shortcut to an illegal casino or tricks you with a four-sided playing card tickles him like that bowl of dragon punch he drank at the Rain Gathering, but deeper, like something about this is good for him. Making him strong, and healthy, and rich in ways he never could’ve gambled for. If you’re not familiar, expect to learn many games of chance. This also means that he always brings extra “goods” back from his “affable conspirators” so that you can try some. One time he returned with a black, ribboned lollipop with a tiny version of your face in the middle. “Don’t take too many licks like a simpleton. Next thing you know you’ll wake up as a fairy. Trust me, you wouldn’t do well as one. Take your time.” You still had wings for a few days after that regardless. “Alright, I guess the dosage was a lot stronger than I was told. Live and learn!” Kane turned his head and sneezed some pixie dust. “W-wait, mine too?!”

Kane claims to have "the blessing of the DOORS!" when you play against him in poker, but you usually beat him because his eyes not-so-subtly shift to the side when he bluffs. Is he really that bad at poker? Is he letting you win? You’ll never know, and that’s the real trick. Once in a while he'll fold back into his piggy-bank form and challenge you to hit as many coin tosses into him as you can, which is admittedly difficult since his coins are huge. Normally he doesn’t let anybody touch him or pick him up in his piggy-bank form, but if it’s his beloved then he’s fine with you carrying him around. Just don’t drop him. If you have a habit of being a klutz, don’t feel too offended by his apprehension. “You know that you’re my good luck charm, right? It’s just… picking up my effigy and stuff… It’s a bit too much of a gamble even for me, eheheh!”

Kane has three days: OK days, where he does what he wants to do but you can’t hang out; great days, where he gets to spend a lot of time with you; and meteor days. Some days the meteors are really gunning for him. It’s like a sickness that flares up, a fever that leaves asymptomatic and returns with a vengeance. He claims to be made of tough stuff and he prides himself on his lawless luck, but there are times where he gets hit and taken out before coming to a few hours later. One of your worst experiences with him was when you two first started dating and one of the flaming chunks of space-rock hit him and took him out. You were shocked beyond words. Not knowing what to do, you called one of his contacts named, simply, “Doctor”. The shady character arrived, clearly unhinged, and insisted that you had very little time to “harvest his coins”. Thankfully, Kane pulled himself together and zipped away with you in tow. You spent over an hour thinking he was dead, and he was mortified that he had forgotten to mention the “being blown to space-dust” part.

If one of his meteors is ever hurtling your way, you can guarantee that despite Kane’s ditzy, slightly selfish personality, he will always push you out of the way and make sure you’re safe. If he can sense that he’s going to be having a flare-up day, he stays away and hides in his piggy-bank form. He can’t bear to see you hurt. Unfortunately, if you want to speak to him, you’ll have to go on a scavenger hunt for him. He can be pretty creative with places to nestle into when in his smaller form. If you find him, tell him you love him and that you’re not gonna leave him alone to deal with whatever this meteor curse thing is. He needs to hear what you're going to say. And bring a reinforced metal umbrella. If you do these things, he’ll be stunned with gratitude, but above all else, he’ll be reassured that being yours was never a gamble at all; you’ll know that you’re truly his lifetime good luck charm, and he's yours.

Random Ass ENA Headcannons I Thought About Part 2

ENA x Fem! Reader

Summary: Title is self explanatory. Though not everything will be related to her attraction to you. But most of it will be.

Author’s Note: Get ready for some mental whiplash with how I switch between topics🥴 (PukeFactory come back the kids miss you 😭💔💔)

Ena initially held no real attachment to you— I mean why would she? You were just another job for her to complete, and it was simply to get you home. Sure, you two had to spend an indefinite period of time together, but that wasn’t something that bothered her.

Her interest in you was superficial at first, just wanting to know about you, since humans aren’t really common in her world. That began to change when you showed her common decency and kindness, always thanking her and making her feel appreciated for anything she does for you, worrying about her feelings and physical safety if you think she got hurt (she’s not) or checking in on her after getting yelled at or insulted by an entity on the job. You were just being human.

How could she not grow attached to you if you cared about her wellbeing and spent most of your time with her. She’s not used to having someone be around her for an extended period of time, let alone show any form of kindness to her. You weren’t supposed to be more than just a job for her, yet you still managed to capture the polygon woman’s heart.

I feel like since Ena is disliked by a majority of entries, you showing her any semblance of kindness will have her feeling a type of way. So she’d be more likely to have possessive tendencies that stem from her not wanting you to be “taken away” from her by other entities. She absolutely adores you, she wouldn’t want you to just leave her without warning.

After some time she subconsciously starts to see you as her actual partner as well— I mean, why else would be nice to her? Now help her with the wedding arrangements, it’s not gonna plan itself!

You negotiated with an entity for better compensation on her behalf? How many humanboards do you want? She’s under your spell!!

She has her own home that she never goes to since she’s constantly working, but ever since you showed up she lets you live there. You have limited energy and need rest, so you give her a reason to go home, you help her build a healthy work schedule. You’ll probably have to fight with her over the housework, because she’ll want to do them for you.

Refers to you as her wife once you’ve been together for a while and gets really excited when you refer to her as the same.

Ena loves that you’re human, not just because you’re different and fascinating in many different ways, but because you require a lot of maintenance. There’s always something to do with you and it brings her joy doing something like regularly bringing you food and making sure you have everything you need. It makes her feel like a provider and a dedicated wife :)

She’s both a malewife and a girlboss, the ideal partner for you— in her eyes.

She likes to be included in your routines as well, she’ll have her own plate and cutlery out while you’re eating even if she’s not eating herself. She has the capacity to eat but doesn’t do it if there’s no real purpose for it, it feels like a waste of time for her, to eat food you could be eating and actually getting something out of it.

If you have a skincare routine, she’s entranced by it. She loves watching you do it and will ask you questions about why you do it and what each product does for your skin. She’ll let you apply different masks and other skincare products you use in order to experience something with you.

Sometimes when she’s particularly busy or a client made her angry around lunch time, she’ll toss the food she got for you in your general direction like she’s feeding a beast and leaves. But it’s got a little “love you <3” note on it so you know you’re not the problem.

Since Ena has a relatively smooth face, she can’t actually kiss you. Instead she presses her face against you and goes “muah!” to compensate for her lack of 3D features. Her salesperson side will make a show out of it, getting theatrical and extra with her kisses. Her meanie side is more reserved and maybe a little shy, but she loves kissing you regardless. If you kiss her, just know that you’re not going anywhere for the next thirty minutes. You’re getting angy kissies now😡

Ena’s salesperson is also just as excitable when you kiss her, except she’s much more forward and will make sure you don’t get the opportunity to escape her affection. If you kiss her first, she deems it to be worth thirty minutes of her time to cash in and just litter you in kisses.

You guys make out sloppy—

I know I just said she can’t really kiss you, and normally she can’t. But we’ve seen her take on different physical forms depending on her state of mind, so it wouldn’t be too much of a reach to say she simply decided to give herself an actual mouth one day in order to actually kiss you.

That or she’ll lick your bottom lip and then gaslights you by saying your mind is playing tricks on you because you want her so bad, and then does it again just because she can.

If you ever encounter another Ena while she’s around, she’ll go out of her way to bully to her into submission order to assert herself as the “ideal” Ena for you she feels threatened having another member of her species around you. Probably hits the other Ena unprovoked just because she can— like how a cat would just randomly swat at another cat because they decided they’re existing too close to them, even if they’re like five feet away doing absolutely nothing.

Ironically, it’s her salesperson side that’s mainly the one being mean and petty to her counterpart, all while fawning over you after she just finished making the other Ena cry. Her meanie side is just doing pick-me girl behaviors, please pull her to the side and reassure her that you’re not gonna leave her for the other Ena😭

No one hates Ena quite like Ena.

If you tell her to stop, she’ll resort to being passive aggressive instead. Obviously the other Ena won’t just passively sit there and let it happen either, she’ll retaliate as well. So you have to play peacekeeper between them so they don’t escalate into anything worse than passive aggressive comments, and the occasional unprovoked swat until it’s time to go your separate way with your Ena.

If the other Ena makes a joke, you better not laugh!!😡😡

ENA as a species are emotionally unstable and volatile, they probably have a lot of internalized hatred towards themselves and each other, so they’ll absolutely pick fights with each other if they so happen to be in each other’s vicinity. That doesn’t mean they can’t get along— they can, it’s just very tense between them if there’s no one there to keep them in check.

I like to think that ENAs are solitary creatures when it comes to interacting with members of their species, but actively seek out companionship with other entities instead. If they decide that you’re their friend— you’re their friend now and there’s nothing you can do about that, she’ll follow you wherever you go.

Except in your case, this ENA wanted you as a romantic partner. But it’s more common that they’re friends with the entity of their choice.

You can also view it as a relationship in a way as well, I feel like ENAs become extremely possessive and jealous if they see you with another entity on the rare occasion she’s away from you. You’re her companion and she doesn’t want to share you with anyone!! You’re hers and only hers in her eyes. It’s a behavior you have to keep in check if you want to build genuine connections with someone that isn’t solely her.

I feel like the ENA species can’t feel pain very well— we see Dream BBQ Ena give up her arm to get into the purge event and web series Ena getting hit over the head by the shepard’s rod and not react. But they can still feel external stimuli— like, they can feel when something made contact with their body, but pain is something they either can’t feel very well or at all. But they’re emotionally unstable in their own unique ways, so it kinda balances them out in a way.

Ena likes to dress you up. If you’re going to a location when it’s cold, she’ll start pulling out a thick coat, multiple scarfs, mittens and other winter clothing for you to wear. It gives her the opportunity to touch you, while also making sure you’re nice and warm. She’ll also put on her own winter clothes, though they’re not layered like yours since the weather doesn’t affect her. Does she need to wear it? No. She just wants to match with you.

If it’s in a hot environment, you’re cooked (hah). I feel like her salesperson side has a sensual air around her especially around you, so good luck with that… You’ll be sweating even more around her.

“Oh dear! You’re burning up! Here, allow me to remove your clothes for you.”

Ena said as she began to reach for you, you could swear you could hear an undertone of excitement in her voice. You know she likes to touch you in more ways than. Your skin is soft and warm, the complete opposite to her body, it’s a fascination that never went away. It only seemed to grow when you let her explore your body in a more intimate manner. You were even softer and warmer inside, and gave Ena such wonderful reactions to her touches.

“N-no, no, that’s ok! I’m fine!”

You stammered, trying to catch both of her disjointed arms by their wrists to prevent Ena from tugging at your clothes.

“Nonsense, we must have your body at an acceptable temperature. I can’t have my closest business partner overheating, can I?”

Ena argued, clearly enjoying the little banter between the two of you. You knew she wouldn’t do anything that would make you uncomfortable, she did genuinely want to put you in another set of clothing that would cool you down. But watching your reaction and how you’d interpret her words was also fun too, she’ll be sure to take a mental note and take you up on your offer at a later time.

You have to teach Ena how to sleep, she probably assumed sleep is just closing your eyes and having thoughts. So when she actually sleeps for the first time, she wakes up terrified due to having a nightmare, she’ll frantically searches for you if you’re not in the immediate vicinity. She truly believed she hurt you and checks your body for any wounds or breaks. You have to explain the concept or dreams and nightmares to her.

She refuses to sleep by herself since she suffers from frequent nightmares, but when she’s asleep with you, your dreams dominate her nightmares and she gets to experience something pleasant with you once again.

Ena loves to press her face against your abdomen when she’s asleep, it’s not only the warmest part of your body. But she also gets to hold you as well.

Probably tells Froggy about her new favorite activity: Sleeping with you. That’s exactly how she words it too, and a part of you believes she’s doing it on purpose to get a reaction out of him. She is.

Loves to flirt with you, doesn’t matter if you’ve been dating for a while, she absolutely loves flirting with you like she just met you. If you’re easily flustered she’ll probably push you over the limit a little bit before finally giving you a break. If you flirt with her in return, she loves that just as much. Though, she prefers you beat red and stuttering your life away in an attempt to respond to her a little bit more.

If you try to look away she’s cupping your face and redirecting you to look back at her. She wants to watch you’re become flustered, and pushes you further by asking why you’re turning red, and if you can turn other colors as well.

“My, such a marvelous and interesting color you’re demonstrating! Tell me dearest, do you come in other shades of hue as well?”

Ena purred as she studied your face, just inches away from you. She was enjoying the effect she had on you a lot, it made her warm inside knowing that you enjoy her company so much that you’re not only dating her, but you’re still flustered by her flirting and playful touches.

Ena listened with a curious smile as you shyly explain that turning pink or red is a fairly normal color, depending on the context. Fidgeting with your fingers, you elaborated that any other color outside red means something has seriously wrong in your body. Ena seemed to take a mental note of this new information, making sure to add it to her list of knowledge about you and your species.

“I’ll be sure to monitor your complexion closely then, my sweet.”

Ena smiled and scooped you into her arms, still wanting to be as close to you as she possibly can.

“I wouldn’t want the queen to my heart and emotional stock inventory to fall into the deceptive hands of a charlatan like death, that would surely bankrupt our shared company for sure!”

Ena rattled on as she carried you back towards the direction of the hub.
