Idk how much they let the kid know about becoming a toy but for me i feel with more complicated bigger bodies they at least knew in their final hours

poppy oc time!!

my lil critters, bunbun, val, buck, and poe! a small found family in the factory trying their best to leave so she can give them a somewhat normal life, if anything buck since he was force to grow up in there

a before and after along some doodles! alsoo lore below for who wants to see

had an idea that since they tested on kids, i feel the homeless would also be taken in to be experimented on, so heres val! a pregnant woman who was taken in so she can get the care she needs, would mostly helped with kids or clean up since she was pretty limited, singing lullaby's for kids who needed it, from how great she was she felt very positive about her future here! then bam thrown into the labs to be a tester after having her kid since they wanted to free kid

she acted dead to see her kid again, got caught and then was thrown into the prisons where they keep the toys, she met two of her soon adopted kids bun bun and poe, val was a mother to them

of course an awkward meet up with her ex Ren, turns out hes a prison guard for the toys, one of the best ones since he knows how to deal with more rowdier toys on both districts

I'm really curious how long it took for Playtime to catch Val after she fakes her death? Did she have to spend very long on the prison before the hour of joy?

she lived in the vents for possibly almost a year! spend first few weeks navigating and when she finally found where they kept her child she often was around there, they decided to investigate since the area started to smell weird and when they found out why used the strongest vacuums they had and took her down she then spend the rest of the 3 years before the hour of joy as doing all sorts of jobs around the area mostly would help make the other toys work since they seemed more safe around her since she often would get protective, will draw more of what happen when she was in the prisons soon

also fun fact she was originally doey colors but being in the vents where they also shoot poppy gas discolored her dough making her more pink/red permanently, most of the side effects were gone tho beside heat dries her up a bit quicker

bun bun timeline!!! wanted to give them more attention since they are real close to val before and after her becoming a doey lore belowww

age 8: parents lefts their child at playcare after a tour, they tried calling their parents but never answer so they decided to care for the child, often wearing baggy clothes and often preferred being called they them when val join day care they would of been 10-11, they became roommates since they couldnt find a place for val to stay so she moved in with them, val taught them to open up more and be the person they want to be instead of what others want them, even saw them as family (she also taught sam to enjoy math since she was trying to work on collage homework) sam even was able to take her last name since in a year or two there were new staff and kids so a name change was somewhat easy

once buck was born they started giving him care since they wanted to give the love that val gave them in a way one day some weird employee was bugging buck and she gave him a earful, warning him itll cost his job

after a day or two, she just. woke up as a bunzo, clearly showing her confusion made them almost panic once she was level headed to speak she shown she had NO IDEA what being chosen was about so, whoops wrong kid. at least they were a success they were able to reunite, once again had a nice daughter mother combo but dealt with the hardships down there however, they had horrible dysphoria, val and bun bun practice voice training her now is confident and often second in charge, her a buck are super close and she enjoys her new brother poe just wish he didnt cause that much trouble

Had an idea that if the hour of joy never happen they possibly would of succeeded on making val into a new mascot, since she became something completely new they would possibly try making some money out of it

buck enjoys the smiling critters a bit more mostly because of cat nap because he heavily relates with being a misfit

took him a while to get used to that information, buck barely remembers her voice and hands when she live in the vents (doey dough became a comfort to him because of that) so for the longest time he thought she was a imaginary friend, since he was told his mother died after his birth due to complications what really help him was finding out bun bun before becoming a toy used to been a kid (sam) that knew his mom a couple of months before he was born so sam would tell lil buck all about his mom in a way bun bun became a way to help connect a bond that was lost, however did made him ask a lot of questions like why isnt he a lil doughball or when he will become a toy like the others
