This might be a stupid question but do the immortals go by different names/ have normal jobs in order to fit in or can they just be themselves ?

this is actually a really good question, anon ! 

for the most part, it’s both: so while they can have normal jobs to fit in, they don’t have to –– you can actually write NOTHING in the occupation section of the app. they can also keep their names and whatnot ; the only requirement is that they’re not openly immortal / letting mortals know they’re immortal, but everything else is completely up to you ! 

but they can also change their names or go by nicknames. an example of this would be my character –– i’m playing patroclus, and while i’m keeping his name as patroclus, he’s just going to joke about it with mortals and say his parents just loved greek mythology. but he’ll usually go by a nickname.

hi, hello –– of course !! they’re just little things that describe the overall vibe and small little details about your muse –– whether it’s something they wear, something they smell like, their laugh or smile or their eyes ; just a little phrase to explain your character !!

will ooc plotting open tonight? or will plotting and interactions open at the same time?

plotting will open tonight ; i’ll be sending out discord links as blogs come in, and if there’s anyone who doesn’t want to join the discord group ( the most valid! ), i’ll be opening an ooc channel right here on tumblr so everyone can plot !! 

interactions will open on wednesday, just so everyone’s had time to work on intros && plot with each other && maybe even do the first task i’ll be posting later today !!

hi! do you allow lesser known historical figures? i'm thinking of applying for a very specific character known in my country/region but idk if it's a good idea because she's not very known in the mainstream

absolutely !! i would love to have lesser known historical figures !! it’s actually very well known figures + controversial figures that i’m steering away from –– but there’s a place for everyone else here, and i’ll be setting up events and plot drops and surprises for everyone to ensure that every character ( lesser known and ocs included ! ) are just as loved and involved as everyone else !!

do we have to wait 5 days or one week for a 2nd character ?

hi, anon ! as written in the rules, it’s exactly seven days before you can pick up a second muse ; and if your very first wasn’t a poc, your second must be ! the same wait time applies for a potential third muse !

are we allowed to include more than five aesthetics in our app, or would you rather we just stick to three to five? thank you!!

i’m sorry, anon –– i’d like to stick to no more than five ! however, if you do have more than five –– which i love to hear ! –– they will definitely come handy if / when you’re filling out the very character task after applications open !

Hey! Just a quick question about the app! If I wanted to apply as a greek god such as Poseidon or something what would I put as their birthyear / place? Would saying ancient greece / greece be enough?

hi, anon !! it absolutely would be alright –– you’re also free to write unknown or n/a if a particular thing doesn’t completely apply to your muse !!

is there a reason for this being 19+ rather than 18+?

it’s honestly mostly because i’m in my mid-twenties and for the general comfort of younger muns + myself, as it’s a 6+ year gap. but also, i’m also not here to be demanding or dogmatic in any way –– i just want to ensure this is a chill and safe space for all –– so if someone aged 18 would like to join, then i’d absolutely love to have them and they would be very welcome !

Hi! I have a few questions about your rules. When you say gender bending is not allowed, does that mean we can't change the gender of a trans fc, or that we can't use cis fcs for a trans character? Also, how large is too large of an age gap? Will the discord group be for announcements or a chat group? Thank you in advance - I just didn't want to assume anything!

actually –– thank you, anon ! this absolutely is on me and i’ll add more detail to the rules to avoid any confusion ; i’m sorry for not doing so already ! i did actually mean that trans + nb fcs should not be misgendered in any way. as for age gaps, i’d say fifteen years is large enough, but i don’t mind talking this out –– esp with older and adult muses. the discord group will purely be for general chat amongst muns and just having intros / open starters / starter calls in one place so that nothing gets lost on the dash. but ! the main && source blog will have all of these as well, and if anyone wishes to not join the discord group –– it is absolutely not necessary ! thank you, again !

How does the one death thing work? Is that only for mortals becoming immortals? So immortals are never born immortal?

hi anon !! nope –– that’s for everyone. to kickstart their immortality, they have to die that first time. they’re born immortal, of course –– but they aren’t aware of their immortality until the one death !!

hello! if we wanted to have a muse become immortal would we fill out the immortal app? I saw that the tally was at 0/4 and was curious on how one would go about filling that part out. Thank you!

hi, hello !! this is a great question –– if you would like a muse who’s yet to become immortal, you can just fill out the mortal app ( it’s the second one of the apps page ! ), and you can just have them become immortal at any point, however you like !! that would just require a lil message to the main !!

how long is the longest it can take for immortals to be revived? could it take years, or only hours at most?

hours at most, anon !! i’d say definitely within twenty four hours !!
