Kumquat MeatBalls
Tumblr media
Kumquat Meatballs are inspired by the Pineapple Meatballs. The pineapple meatballs and the Kumquat Salsa are both very popular in my household. So I thought of combing the flavor of the Kumquat Salsa with the traditional meatballs, and it came out to be awesome! This recipe tinkle all your taste buds with its sweet, sour, and spicy taste. I have used these meatballs as appetizers, as well as kids snacks, or even as a filling for rolls. The abundance of the Kumquat in my backyard has made me try out different ways to consume. Few of them are an instant success, and one of them is here. Kumquat flavored meatballs are very easy to make. I have made with or without additional vegetables like bell peppers, onions and prepared as Kabobs or as meatballs. Here I will share the meatball version.

Kumquat Halves While preparing the Kumquat Salsa I preferred to use chopped Kumquat, but in the meatballs, you can blend it as a sauce. All I did here is add garlic and ginger into the salsa and blend it. I have used the ground turkey as the base meat but it will be perfectly tasty with other ground meats as well. Like any meats balls, you can cook them in Air-fryer, stovetop, oven, or even in the microwave.

Kumquat Meatball In my Kabobs or meatballs, I do not add any binding agent, like eggs or flour, as I like my meatballs to melt in my mouth. But if you want the texture to be little chewy, consider adding eggs and/or flour into the same recipe. If you are using the stovetop, just shallow fry them in a pan or steam them in the oven by placing a water tray in the lower rack and kabobs/meatball on the upper rack. Steaming makes them very soft and juicy. Read the full article

Cranberry Salsa with Fruits
Tumblr media
Today I am going to share a recipe that can be made with different fruits and will taste wonderful. I have adopted the cranberry salsa recipe from the well-known cranberry-apple salsa and derived many versions of it. I make Cranberry Salsa with Apple, Guava, Pears, Persimmon or any meaty fruits and they all taste very good. We can enjoy these salsa with traditional tortilla chips, or you can pair them with Kabobs, meatloaves, or baked turkey. This is a kid-friendly recipe and is very popular in our kids' meetups.

Guava Cranberry Salsa This year on Thanksgiving holiday, I made three versions of the cranberry salsa. I made it with apple, guava, and just cranberry by itself. Earlier I have made it with Asian Pears, and a good friend of mine tried it with Persimmon. The base of this recipe is the cranberry condiments made of fresh cranberries. You can substitute the fruit as per your preference, or availability. The cranberry condiment if stored or freeze, then this salsa can be made with seasonal fruits like Peach, Nectarine or Apricots as well. Read the full article
