Red Son is actually such a cool character when you separate him from shipping.

He’s not angry and hot-tempered, actually, he’s just very dramatic and has a constant flare for making things more.. extravagant than they need to be. He’s actually more dramatic than Macaque is with the way he presents his inventions and his own person.

He rarely gets mad. Mostly annoyed but never down right mad at either Xiaotian or Xiaojiao.

He also seems to lack social interaction and doesn’t understand a lot of social cues? At least, from what I can remember he’s thrown off by how friendly Xiaojiao and Xiaotian are and almost seemed overwhelmed by it.

Cannot really tell if he enjoys hanging out with them in small doses or if he would prefer spending time alone. Because when he does “hang out” with them it’s not up to him — they’re always saving the world from a bone spirit or healing people from spider poison. And he wasn’t even there for the final Azure fight so he wasn’t really needed for that. He just happened to show up at the beach ending scenes but he seems the happiest when he’s with his parents or alone? It’s weird

He’s not as social as the other two and frankly sometimes it just feels like he’s watching over them to make sure they don’t die or something

My absolutely undoubtably favorite scene out of entire lmk is this one

Because its just… so terrifying human… it feels raw, its something i could see happening to me- its just… a young man finding a little kid and immediately offering help, smiling at her, joking a bit, getting immediately to the point of “we gotta get you out of here”. She hugs him because shes just so scared, straight out of her mind. this is the only hug so far that like… I felt like I could feel it, its just. so much. I headcanon that WBS kinda let the Host take control here or just let the emotions of the Host that have been gathering inside of that little chest for Who Knows How Long Now out to get this absolutely perfect “performance”

And then she..

She hides again. Goes back to crying. And Xiaotian was scared out of his mind too just a tiny bit ago but hes frowning and ready to take on whatever here, hes ready to protect this random kid he just found the best he Fucking can. He just snaps into adult mode and i cant get enough of it. Of him taking on responsibility like this. its just??? So amazing, hes so amazing????

And in like very human way. Maybe when he tries to comfort Xiaojiao he stumbles through his words a bit. Or maybe hes just SUCH a good comforter that he usually doesnt actually stumble. He knows how to say a thing what to say. If he spoke to me like this Id… prolly just straight up fucking breakdown

I’m starting to see how things so easily went wrong for Macky. Wukong does NOT play around, even if you’re MK. Seeing him use the same spell LBD used to trap Macky on top of all this is making me LOSE IT.

Sun Wukong as Phantom Thief Peach from The Phantom Thief AU of @lunar-wandering​

At least my version of him. Really wanted to draw this silly monkie as a Phantom Thief, so I did. Took a while to figure out how I want him to look - not quite the standard Phantom Thief Stage Magician, that would make more sense for QXT, so I took some 1920′s inspired elements, like the hat, to give him a look of his own, and tried to keep away from gold and sun related color palettes and stick to a peach themed ones. Took a while to find a combo that did not make me smash my head in.

I know the AU says that SWK would not be using any magic during heists, but I think some could be used to hide some of his more obvious monkey traits (like ears and nose) and sliiiightly altering the hair to not be so obvious.

So, yeah. Phantom Thief Peach. What a guy.

Also my first time drawing SWK in any capacity, so cool.

Day 0.5: Recap

Woke up at the butt crack of dawn to make the drive down to Jersey. Made it in the mid afternoon, checked in, and then farted around until it was time to get ready for the pre-party at QXTs.

This is my first time in Jersey and my first impressions are that it is a land of confusing highways where cars are the dominant lifeform. I know Canada has a lot of space to work with too, but holy hell I've never seen a more pedestrian unfriendly place. The parking lots are so vast they're almost untraversible!

My thoughts on Q's? In-cre-dible! I've never been to a high concept bar like that before, the decor was on point and the different levels catered to the music tastes of all the DFF attendees, which was nice because the goths didn't have to get stuck listening to industrial and vise versa for the rivetheads.

The main stage area was where it was at for me, I loved the energy of everyone there. They had some incredible dancing skills! It's so nice to be surrounded by people who are on the same wavelength as you and are vibing just as hard, if not more. The set list was also on point, it was a good hour before I could finally tear myself away long enough to grab some water at the bar

I bumped into that same cybergoth I met back at the A23 concert and funny enough she said that there were people that had confused her for me, which I thought was odd because I didn't know anyone there other than the people I came with 🤔 As it turns out, a goth couple from my hometown also came down for the festival, so that was a nice surprise!

Unfortunately, I'm battling a pretty wicked UTI right now and that put a damper on the evening because of the terrible abdominal pain I was experiencing, but still managed to have a blast! Wish me luck on getting prescribed antibiotics in America with no insurance 🙏🙏🙏
