06/17/19: Pony Acquisition Post #366: G1 Basic Fun Retro Flutterbye!

Year Released: 2019

I was at Target and got lucky today! I was picking up a prescription so I got a $5 coupon as I filled 10 orders so far, and the Basic Fun Brushables were on sale, so I got Flutterbye for only $3.50! She’s a pony I didn’t expect to get at first as I thought she was a bit too bright at first, but after seeing her in person I fell in love with her! The rainbow color goes great with her bright body! They also had Trickles, but I preferred Flutterbye, which is rare for me since I never usually pick a pegasus over an Earth pony!

Oh and.....seems to me that my Basic Fun Tickle has taken a fondness to her!

Plague Times

The Rump Design Games entering its teen years with episode 13 has also brought along with it plague for Pony Flickerman. I'm sure if it's lucky it will survive the night, but these are cold and harsh times we live in.

This episode features the year 3 Rainbow Ponies including the two German exclusive ponies. It's one chonk of an episode.

So her ass is feathers. That's agreeable. She looks like she has some whimsy in her like she's a prankster, fitting with the name and the feathers, and while Pony Flickerman can commend her for this trait it is not very pleased by the existence of it. Also appreciative of her pegasus status, it fits with the feather theme as well.

Starflower (aka Sternblume/Stella/Estrella) Spirit of the Pony: 2.5/5 Does the Palette Fuck: 4.5/5 Ugliness: 2/5

Pony Flickerman: This is the secret twelfth circle of hell. I wish they had actually given some zazz in the direction of the flower half of her name. Just the stars as is are... bad. They're ugly and awful and I refuse to believe they looked better upon release.

On account of having lost all of my quips and thoughts after this point from my laptop crashing, having some short thoughts from yours truly. Confetti looks like delightful funfetti cake with rainbow icing.

Pony Flickerman's proposed tie breaker (unfortunate we have to pit two queens like Confetti and Nachtlicht together in the first place) is whichever of them I would trust more to make me frybread. And with that we have our winner.

only a generation or two away from the original rainbow five ponies. Flutterbye also has control over some special rainbow magic. she delicately paints the clouds with the flap of her wings, she whispers to the bee's and flowers and all the creatures marvel in her beautiful rainbow mane.

Flutterbye is excitable and despite her looks and graceful moment she fumbles her words and trips often. she is very innocent and childish and loves to share the treasures she finds to her friends even if it's just a rock only she seems to think is kinda pretty.

What show is this even describing? Nothing from this made it to the original series. Nothing from this made into "Rescue At Midnight Castle". Danny doesn't dress like a cowboy, Spike doesn't have wings, Flutterbye isn't a main character, Tirac only appears once, there's still a witch in the background of the first picture living in what looks like Gargamel's hovel, and is that a rabbit or a mouse next to the Moochik in the second picture?

The second picture looks like it takes place during development of "Escape From Catrina", with the rainbow ponies and Megan's clothes, but Danny isn't in it (and it's up for debate if this version is even her brother), but Tirac was defeated in the first special how is he back?

There seems to be a darker more interesting show buried in MLP's past.

This raises as many questions as the "Dungeons and Dragons" Starlog pictures. The "My Little Pony 'N Friends" picture is more accurate but has no one ever questioned it before?

Heads up about the new wave of Rainbow Ponies: the case packs no longer contain one of each. There's doubles of two ponies, then another two have one each. I'm not sure if it's true short packing since I've only opened one case so far but it'll likely make finding certain ponies harder.
