What are the chances that DDVAU/DH Grian when he is Cute Guy, besides modifying his appearance (the color of his wings, eye color, perhaps his hair) also modifies his voice?

What I thought about every episode of The Owl House Season 1 (Part 1/2)
Salutations random people on the internet who probably won't read this. I am an Ordinary Schmuck. I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons.
Hey, do you miss Gravity Falls?
...
Yeah, I know, dumb question. Which is why I have good news! Not only is there a new series that is just as good as Gravity Falls, but in some ways, it's even better. That new series would be none other than Disney Channel's latest hit: The Owl House.
The Owl House, slowly but surely, became my new obsession since Eda reacted to decapitation with an unconcerned, "I hate when that happens." I wrote fan-fiction, made fan-art, and even began to separately review new episodes. Unfortunately, I got in a little late in the reviewing game and only managed to analyze the last four episodes of season one. And like an idiot, I promised that I'll review the rest when they came out on Disney+. Seeing that all of the first season has finally come on a legal streaming service (which means WATCH IT RIGHT NOW!), it's time I finally saw through to that promise. However, I'm not going to over-analyze each episode because that would be insane. So instead, we're going to lightning round these suckers. Because it's my Tumblr, and I get to decide what I review and how the hell I review it...hooah.
Which means this is your last chance to avoid spoilers if you haven't seen The Owl House yet. Seriously, it's a great show, and you can catch up right now on Disney+. A week-long trial is more than enough time to watch the series, so DO IT! With that out of the way, let's get started with:
“A Lying Witch and a Warden”: This episode gets a lot of flack for having poor pacing and being too preachy with its message. And to that, I say...you're not wrong. Yeah, I wish I could be that person who can defend this episode against criticism like that, but these are understandable problems that just left this icky feeling in my tum-tum when watching. But that's only when looking at it as a regular old episode when in reality, people need to see it as a first episode. The first episode in any show needs to get viewers interested enough to continue watching by answering these five essential questions: What's the plot of the show? What's the tone? Who are the main characters? What's the world they live in? And what are the rules of the same world? "A Lying Witch and a Warden" does a great job of answering all of these questions. And if you stuck around until the season finale, then that means it did a great job of keeping you interested in sticking around as well. So seeing how it got its job done, albeit, with mixed results, I give this episode a B-.
“Witches Before Wizards”: Don't mind me. Just reveling in the fact that Luz escaped to a fantasy world to avoid Reality Check Camp, only to get a reality check anyway. Because that's what this episode is in a nutshell. Through the "quest" that Luz goes on, she learns two important lessons: One, don't trust strangers who offer you something nice and shiny (bonus points for Eda warning Luz to avoid men with sandals and then have Ategast wear sandals). And two, there is no such thing as having a predetermined destiny. I love the idea that Luz coming to the Isles was just a twist of fate, and everything that happens afterward is pure dumb luck. And that moment when Eda gave a speech about making your own path instead of waiting to become something special? That was the moment when I went from thinking this was going to be a fun show to thinking it's going to be a great show. So consider this episode a solid A in my book.
“I Was a Teenage Abomination”: How is it possible for an episode to get better and worse with time? Because here's the thing: This episode does a great job of showing how perfect Amity's development is. After one single season, it already feels jarring, seeing the way she acts in certain scenes. However, in that same respect, it's the same reason why this episode got worse. I didn't mind that Willow practically got away with cheating and vandalizing the school with her magic because she and Luz were basically trying to show up a two-dimensional bully. But knowing what we know in the future, it does seem unfair that Amity gets punished for their bad behavior and Willow got little consequences for it. Sure, Luz got banned and had to work at gaining Amity's trust, but what about Willow? Although, despite this complaint, I don't really hate this episode. It builds a believable connection between Luz and her friends, and the B-plot King and Eda show off their budding friendship. So while this episode is a C-, it's a somewhat enjoyable C-.
“The Intruder”: Is it weird for anyone else that King gets most of the blame in this episode? Yes, he took the potion, but Luz was the one who kept pushing him. This is why it never sat right with me seeing how everyone, including himself, blames King for this episode's incident. That being said, "The Intruder" is fantastic. Eda, as the Owl Beast, is legitimately threatening, and the way the episode treats Eda's curse like a chronic illness is actually kind of sweet. It teaches kids how this is something that just happens to people, and they're not any weaker because of it, as long as they take the right steps. Which is cool, and it's why this is another solid A episode for me. Sure King getting the blame bothers me, but it pales in comparison to everything else “The Intruder” does right.
“Covention”: If you want my personal opinion (obviously, seeing how you're reading this), "Covention" is the perfect episode to show a friend to get them into watching the The Owl House. Everything there is to love about the show is seen in just these twenty-two minutes. Eda being a chaotic good, Luz being a sweet and understanding character, some incredible/natural world-building, an actually decent B-plot, an epic fight scene, great comedy, and, my personal favorite, the building of Luz and Amity's relationship. In fact, this episode has the most quintessential moment between these two, that Dana Terrace herself took charge of making the animatic for it. A scene that is so perfect that you can do an analysis of these few minutes alone...which is what I did. Click here to read it! "Covention" gets an A+ in my book and might possibly be the best episode of the season. Maybe even the series!
“Hooty’s Moving Hassle”: There's not really a lot I can say about this episode. I don't hate it, but I'm not exactly in love with it. The interactions between Luz and her friends are adorable, and there are a few good jokes that kept me laughing. But the story is kind of bland, and I just find Eda's sudden obsession with Hexes Hold'em kind of odd. Especially since a card game is what nearly defeated the "undefeatable" Owl Lady. If it wasn't for the nice reveal of Willow's and Amity's friendship (which comes into play in a far better episode), I'd say that you could skip this one on future rewatches. Because this is a C grade episode that just doesn't grab me as well as others.
“Lost in Language”: Ah, yes. The episode that made dozens of fans jump aboard the Lumity ship...unless you're like me, and you've been shipping these two since the show's theme song (And I don't know why, either. It's just the second I saw Amity my first thought was, "Oh, honey. You're gonna fall in love with the main character, aren't you?" AND I WAS F**KING RIGHT!). But jokes about shipping aside, "Lost in Language" is a fantastic episode. It has a great lesson about how people are more complex than their first impressions (Or to not judge a book by its cover, if you wanna stay on theme). Edric and Emira seem like a chaotic duo who cause mischief all for good fun. But Luz, as well as the audience, learns that Ed and Em are kinda the worst (they get better in future episodes, but still). Then there's Amity, who hasn't had the best first impressions in the last few episodes. We got glimpses of a good person here and there, but for the most part, that's all they were. Glimpses. Then there's this episode, which gives us more than a small look, but some actual insight into who Amity really is. Better yet, who she wants to be. It's something that I appreciate about The Owl House in that it wastes no time in developing Amity's character. So much so that I can forgive this episode for shoehorning a "Two idiots and a baby" plotline that does nothing but add maybe two minutes of padding. So yeah, it's an A+ for sure.
“Once Upon a Swap”: "Ugh! It's the body swap episode! How cliche and-" SHUT UP! Shut your mouth, and listen: Something being cliche does not always make it bad. Only when the cliche fails to tell an entertaining story does it have the right to work as a complaint. "Once Upon a Swap" may have a cliche premise, but it's still an enjoyable story (or stories) with great laughs and even some ok lessons. I can understand if you hate the episode because its premise is something you've seen a dozen times to the point where your sick of it. My most hated story idea is the "Character A saves Character B, and Character B becomes a life slave." If you have seen this story once, you've seen it a thousand times, and it's the same case with a "body swap" episode. But guess what: The Owl House is a kids' show. Kids'. Show. You can complain all you want about predictability, but kids are the type of viewers who will be new to this experience, despite if it's one that is done to death. Which is why this is solid B of an episode if you ask me.
“Something Ventured, Someone Framed”: Can people please stop shipping Gus with Mattholomule? Because that slimy, greasy, weaselly little son of A BASTARD BITCH WEASEL DOES NOT DESERVE LOVE IN WAY POSSIBLE!
...
But enough about how Mattholomule is the worst character ever, because "Something Ventured, Someone Framed" is a B+ in my opinion. Sure it shows the worst side of Gus and lets Satan's little herpe win in the end, but there is still quality to be had. We get insight into who Gus is as a character, on top of Eda swallowing her pride and cleaning the school so Luz can get into Hexide. Also, Eda's permanent record was the first time this show brought me to tears due to laughing so hard. So while I have to take points off for the inclusion of Mattholomule (I don't make the rules. I just live by them), this is still an episode I wouldn't mind revisiting.
“Escape of the Palisman”: I subscribe to this theory that Luz will one day have Eda's staff as her own. And episodes like this that strengthen the bond between Luz and Owlbert help confirm that theory. Luz's dedication to trying to make things right could just be part of her kind nature, but I like to believe that this is Dana and the crew trying to set up this possible outcome. As for what I think about the episode itself...it's ok. Again, Luz's dedication is nice to see, and King's adventure with Owl Beast Eda is somehow insanely adorable, but there's not really much to say other than that. So it's another B episode for me.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And that’s the end of part one! Part two has probably already been posted by the time you finish this, so you can go ahead and find that if you’re interested.

⇰ Chapter 1: Unexpected Date
★・・・・・・★・・・・・・★・・・・・・★ ・・・・・・・
“Oh my god, Oh my god, Oh my god!”, you squealed in pain as you suffocate your face in your favorite pillow, legs kicking like a newborn baby. You threw your phone across a bit, making sure your aim was not shallow enough to make the phone fall out of bed. The black sheets supported your body, as you rolled around in an uncontrollable way.
Your best friend was just sitting at the side of the bed, feeling like a bystander watching a scene. “Okay… what’s wrong with you?”
You stop dead straight on your as you spread out a bit, staring at the sky as if you were seeing stars. “Choi San invited me to a restaurant, he said he had something important to discuss.” Your heart hammered in her chest, you were awkward at social places.
Your best friend’s eyes widen dramatically as her expression falters to disgust, “My brother invited you to a fancy restaurant? YOU-- ARE YOU GUYS DATING?”
“No, what?”, You chuckled in disbelief at your best friend’s question, “We’re best friends, he has eyes for another girl, Emma. I think.”
Emma or your best friend wriggles her eyebrows, “Or...he invited you to a date… oh my god, is he trying to make things romantic so he can ask you out later? Oh my god, you’ll be my sister in law-Ah!”
Emma catches the sudden pillow attack, as she stares at your tomato shaded face. “It’s not like that, you know it. Why would anyone be interested in me anyways? I’m not even Korean like him.” Emma tilts her head, “So? I mean...you guys talk A LOT.”
You ignore Emma’s statement, “Whatever… you’re involved, you’re helping me with clothes and everything.”
“Oh, it would be my pleasure!”, Emma exclaimed, feeling the rush of excitement.
______________________________________________________________
Time: 10 P.M
>>>FANCY RESTURANT
You now stood outside of a tall marvelous building with wide eyes. This was not what you had expected at all. Surely, you had been at various of fancy restaurants with your family before but this was just next level. The building in front of you was full white, architected marvelously with the elements of the Greek culture. The building stretched quite a bit and there was a huge golden door, with vivid colors of brown and grey used together to compliment the color of gold. The rushing water of the fountain could be heard, as you heard various children play around there and here. The giggles and laughters were the only thing that reassured your rapid beating heart.
Your best friend had advised you to wear something elegant, and you finally knew why. You were grateful for your friend.
Your hair was in a neat french hair bun, as you wore diamond diamond oval-shaped piercings accompanied by a three-layer collar diamond necklace. You wore a black off-sleeved dress, which you were personally shy about but couldn’t say anything since your best friend insisted. Holding your black wristlet purse with you, you entered inside the huge door.
You were met with a whole another world.
Outside of the gate was a simplistic city with workaholics walking around in a daily basis but inside the door was an Ethiopian paradise filled with the colors of joy and happiness. You had never seen something like it— nor even thought of.
A cathedral ceiling was above you with beautiful historical symbolisms of what seemed European. There was a huge chandelier made out of crystals in the middle, shining a light down on you. The walls were consistent with the colors of golden and had pillars. You were standing on a royal red carpet which led you to the receptor of the place.
“Hello, um… I was invited by a friend here.”, You shyly asked, feeling a bit out of place. The male receipt gives you a kind smile as he nods, “You must be Ms. Y/N. Mr. Choi has been expecting you.” You smiles back, awkwardly, not sure what to say. “Let me lead you to him.”
The man nods in a bowing motion slightly signaling you to follow him. You watched his action as you begins to walk behind the man, looking around to admire the place as you go.
You both enter an elevator, as the man pushes a random button which you can’t comprehend since you are behind him. You hold onto your bag tightly, trying to ignore the awkward silence that has filled in. The man stays silent as you just stands there with your hands together at the front.
You examines the elevator, feeling quite of a honorable person since you were surrounded by golden tiles. The floor had the restaurants logo, a fancy T in a rhombus shaped surrounding. Now you realized, you had not even bothered to check the restaurant’s name.
“We’re here”.
Your thoughts are broken by the man’s voice as he steps out to a elevator hallway, while you gently follows behind him, in a wary way. You both are met with a huge golden door, you guessed it was an entrance to the dining place.
The man begins to lead her, opening the door wide open for you as you step in.
There entered a peaceful night day like you would see in the movies. A huge hall-like room, almost an entire family could live in bliss and ease. A king-sized bed at the corner with greyish sheets with yellowish-brown blanket to cover the mood of the room. The same colored pillows were an accent. On the opposite side of the bed, was a huge sofa with a modern TV. For you, this seemed like a set that they would use in Hollywood movies, you had never experienced in person.
But what caught you off guard wasn’t that the restaurant had an unusual hotel-like floor, but that beyond the white wooden doors in front of you, there was a beautiful balcony. Your face froze when your eyes fell on San, the one who invited you here to begin with.
San’s face broken into a small, gentle smile. His eyes squinted a bit, delighted to acknowledge that you had came after all. “You came.”, San gracefully walked over to you with a glass in his hand, the liquid slightly purple in color.
You were mentally freaking out for two reasons. One, Choi San was towering over you as if he was asserting dominance with such a youthful innocent face, which also made you cringe in a way. Second, he looked hot.
“Uh, yeah. It would be rude if I didn’t.”, You got yourself together as you eyed the glass, “What are you drinking?”
San smiles wider as he glances at his glance, twirling the liquid in it mischievously, “Wine. Want some? This hotel has amazing beverage.”
Excuse me, hotel?
“Hotel? SAN? I THOUGHT IT WAS A-- I thought it was a restaurant. Oh my god, I-”, You mentally cursed multiple times, feeling betrayed, “You LIED to me?”
“Y/N, Y/N calm down. This is a hotel with a restaurant, so I technically didn’t.”, San reassured in a softer tone to reason with you. He sighs in relief to see you finally, once again, getting yourself together.
You massage your shoulders, with a vulnerable expression, “Gosh, I’m such an idiot. I thought this was some place for rich ones-- so I completely overdid it.”
San raised an eyebrow with a questionable expression, “Overdid it?” You scoff in response, as you sarcastically show-off your outfit. “Oh.”
“Yeah, see? I can't believe--”
“You look beautiful.”
“What?”, Your eyes widened, your mind going blank.
“You look stunning, Y/N.”, San politely smiled as he held his glass still in his hands, “It would be rude if a man didn’t compliment a lady.”
You let go of your shoulders, as you show a disgusted face, “Are you showing off?”
“Shh...don't ruin the moment.”, San whispers, trying to ignore your words, “Come, let’s eat.”
You prayed inside that you would last in this awkward date, where you were constantly dying of San’s sweetness and tenderness. Could it be that he was taking this seriously? Hah, no way. You followed San to the balcony, and you are immediately greeted with a gentle breeze blowing, rhythmically. You sits yourself down on a white wooden chair, thankful that a cushion was there to support your butt. San does the same.
A smile rises upon your feature, as you are delighted to witness that a mushroom-sauce steak was in front of you. The scent was lovingly welcoming to you, as it seemed to be visually fresh. “I know you like mushroom steak.” Your eyes travel towards San’s soft ones, as you start to buffer for a moment.
Getting yourself together for the third time, you speaks, “Yeah, we would often go out to eat it.” You softly chuckled, recalling a memory of San eating a hot piece of steak, him in pain after it.
“Y/N.” San’s voice suddenly becomes all serious and dramatic, causing you to stop at your tracks from approaching a knife and a fork on a table. You hum in response, as your wide excited eyes gleamed. San bit his lip. He felt terrible to suddenly cause the atmosphere to change, but he had to get straight to the point.
“Marry me.”
Silence.
Your mouth was agape, as you were frozen at the place, not even blinking once. San held his hands together, as he looked at you in such a determined and confident manner which did not make the situation any better. The words circled in your head, as you tried to control your rapid heartbeat along with your breathing.
“What?” Your voice came out as cold and ruthless, slightly piercing San’s heart but it was expected.
“I know this is awkward...but I need you to listen to me…”
You knew what was going to happen due to the tone of San’s voice. You had noticed how San speaks excitingly, yelling a few times there and there. His expression would be awfully animatic but he still managed to keep his tender melodious voice. Right now, San’s voice switched from animatic to awfully tender and slow, as if he was telling a sad story. His eyes only guilt tripped you, since they were so considerate and lenient.
“I’m listening.”, You nod.
“My parents had set me up to arrange marriage with the daughter of a huge CEO. I...I can’t stand to marry a girl that I have never met, I don’t want to associate myself to a corrupt family like hers. So, I thought if I had already told my parents that I am engaged with someone, they would reconsider and break off the plan.” San pleaded, “I know....I know I’m not the man of your dreams. Ugh, what am I even saying? I’m so selfish for asking you this...I’m sorry.”
You let out a long sigh which seemed to last seconds, “Okay, San. I understand.”
San’s eyes perk up, “You do?! Oh my god...you don’t have to.”
“Meh, I don’t mind. I don’t have anyone special in my life so.”, You shrugged.
San smiles as he rubs his neck a little, averting his eyes, “Oh god...I need to do this better.”
“Better?”, You were confused. San stands up as he walks towards you in such a wary way that made you expect the unexpected. He crouches down as you slightly turns your body towards him. He takes out a box from his pocket, as he stares at you lovingly, “Will you marry me?”
This was so weird. Everything was so weird. So unusual. Did things like this even exist, such scenarios that are hard to experience? Tears started to appear on your eyes, without you even knowing. You felt touched, but why? Was it because some man had asked you to marry them when you swore you will never have a husband, or was it because you thought you would never experience such a beautiful moment?
“Ye-...Yes.”, Tears slipped down your eyes as you started to cry like a toddler.
San becomes horrified as he quickly sets the box on the table, holding your face, gently. “Why are you crying? Did I do something wrong?” The pure concern in his voice only made you more vulnerable, as you softly hit his chest. “You sentimental idiot!”
“What? Y/N...please tell me if I did something wrong.”, San ignored the soft punches on his chest, not even feeling them as he softly brushes his thumb to wipe the tears away. “I’m just touched, you doofus…”, you wipe your tears away, as you stare at the box.
San lets go of your face as he holds the box, opening it for you. Your watery eyes sparkled along with the oval-shaped diamond ring, a huge oval diamond in the middle while small shaped ones surrounded the big one. “San...thank you…”, you smiled, “It feels like an actual proposal.”
“I’ll be a rude man if I just used you for my own benefits...this is only a small thing.”, San says as he takes out the ring from the box. You both turn towards each other, looking at each other eyes for a moment. San holds your left hand, gently, sliding the ring up on your ring finger.
“Woah-- it looks good on--”
The sound of small kiss being placed on your hand seemingly echoed in your ears. The tingling sensation filled your entire body like electric shock, the sensation lingering right at the spot where the soft lips had been placed. She blinks multiple times as you blankly stared at San’s face, your heart rate once again beating fast, as a blush creeks up to your cheek. San stared at you with such love in his eyes, which was once again, unusual.
You chuckled awkwardly, averting your eyes, “Wow...um...you’re really doing so much for me.” You turn back towards San , involuntarily , whens you feel the grip on your hand tightening. “I’m doing this because it’s you...I chose YOU for this...because I trust you.”
“San…”
“I don’t want you to think I’m using you to get away. It’s not true at all. I chose you because I genuinely feel comfortable with you and I don’t mind experiencing a new life with you.”
You chuckled softly, “Sounds like a proposal.”
San presses his lips together, pressing them tightly together causing his cheeks to puff up. “Alright, I won’t tease you.”, you wished you could photograph his face.
“We should eat our steak.”
“RIGHT!”

Thank You Critical Role - My D&D story
“The adventure begins, they were always beside you. Your nerdy best friends and the DM to guide you”. Critical role, what more can I say?
Tumblr media
I started playing dungeons and dragons when I was around 4\5th grade, playing with a group as an afternoon group\class. 4E, and I don't remember much besides my halfling ranger and a lot of glances and readthrough of my still existing Player's Handbook. (Well the first half of the book, the miniatures section didn’t really speak to me) Finding out my father was a DM when he was younger, and I even went to some events. I can't at all recall why I stopped, but the happiness and creativity wonder I felt still lingered in my mind.
Tumblr media
I had the love for fantasy, I had things like LOTR, “hey! it’s just like D&D”, and a lot of creativity and storytelling crafting.
Tumblr media
After that, I kinda moved on I guess, felt lonely, and like geekness and role-playing was a bad and childish thing (though it made me feel so spectacular). The closest I got was some lively Avatar OC with some new friends.
Tumblr media
Fast forward to 2015, The episode “Dungeons, Dungeons & More Dungeons” from gravity falls. All those feelings rose again and I remembered how much I loved playing.
Tumblr media
(also enjoy role-playing and with LARP being mentioned there too, when I went to some Cons I had a blast with the foam swords there).
Tumblr media
I took out the 4e Player's Handbook, made with my brother (who got in and out of d&d by that time) a carved foam platform and a cubes map - thus started a made-up game by the name of "D&F" (Dungeons & Fandoms), using his found old dices and it's a 1 on 1 encounter magic arena with no distinct roles. What started as "let's make Ability Scores to characters from shows" became a random "I cast a tree of pancakes on you! -no, I burned it with fire-bending you’re dead". A game that also slowly died as we grew up and apart (“I mean, they used to be best friends, but then they got all stupid. Can you promise me you won't get stupid?”)
Tumblr media
(FOUND IT!!!) A mild discovery of the ingenious song “Never Split The Party”, an actual d&d song I discovered after watching Semblance of Sanity and figuring out that their ditty “don’t you know you never split the party” is an actual song their singing.
youtube
youtube
[This video is just a d&d podcast they had, but kinda sums up everything I feel about why I enjoy D&D!]
Then another tiny spark 3 years later when the Voltron episode “Monsters & Mana” came out (BTW, a great d&d parody episode). Which mostly came to an end after a glance in the book and dices and helping a friend with ideas to craft his own RPG game.
Tumblr media
We arrive at the date when everything changed (well, almost), December 7th, 2018. The day I discovered the “Mighty Nein Animated Intro - Your Turn To Roll” and my life were never the same.
youtube
Stumbled upon it by complete accident. I was at a loss for words, I heard the name “Critical Role” thrown about many times on tumbler’s trending list and saw pictures and art of mostly Jester. I didn't even know what is it - a tv show? a game? well, it looks like D&D. The song was incredible and brought me back, I started writing a full-fleshed out character - a human ranger taught by an elf, but the idea was quickly shifted to another fantasy story by me (it’s heard sticking to it when you know it’s just backstory and character info and you will not play and you have no one). But I continue watching this video on repeat (haha not even knowing what it actually is), scouting tumbler for info and watching some random animatics, learning it's probably a podcast d&d\rpg or something. It could have been amazing as a tv show (XD)… and then another video got released, same incredible essence of d&d song but different animation, and different characters That was my first introduction to Vox Machina.
youtube
I had to check this out. Tried to get into the fandom but got lost, even though the interest was there. Stepping upon the awesome cosplay OP and even found out about a hamilton album parody - and my musical loving self was ecstatic.
youtube
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIDuJAvTTRc&list=PL39vwIwCtLi3l4J6IMV6rS2HaLCujNzRT -  Vox Machina: An Exandrian Musical)
Found the full podcast list of champion 1 and started this May. But it was hard following just by voice, and I wanted to see what was happening, every episode was 3-4 hours long, with me in my military base it was impossible. (also I thought to myself “it looks cool, but what so investing and amazing about watching some people play D&D - boy I was wrong).
Then my unexpected savior arrived, miss Corona the pandemic.
Tumblr media
I suddenly had a lot of time on my hands and the Critical Role vids got suggested again on YouTube, yes indeed, I discovered there are actually filmed episodes. Towards the end of May, I started the journey and the flame reignited. I started talking to a good friend of mine about his interest in d&d and we started crafting characters - I resurrected my charter into a half-elven ranger with a full backstory. Down the road, I asked another two friends of mine about their interest in d&d (because maybe I can join together an actual party), one of them said, and I’m quoting “no I don’t have experience playing…but I swear I wanted to talk to you about D&D”. Unfortunately, the two friends groups didn’t mix but we made an improved first session with me as the fucking DM, simply magical. Later that week I started a 1on1 campaign with the other friend, with him as the DM and a marvelous start of an adventure (and helping him learn the rules as an ADM, with the past faded expirations I had).
All while fangirly, hyperfixation way continuing with the journey of Vox Machina, it’s amazing because as opposed to other shows I can also completely see the fandom growing along with the show and cast (i just hope I can catch up to the Mighty Nein before the inevitable 3rd campaign, 198 episodes to go - happy 100th ep!). It’s also difficult to get into the Critters fandom right now because most of the community is focused and recognized by Mighty Nein. Also burning up creativity slots and making more various characters then I could ever use - I’m enjoying myself so muchhh. Diving headfirst into this beautiful crazy of the mess that is D&D.
Nothing’s never too late and it’s ok if you have hiatus. It doesn’t make you any less worthy and I don’t need to feel bad about this journey of that a bunch of nerdy-ass voice actors sit around and play Dungeons & Dragons got me back to loving, playing and caring about the world of d&d, it’s part of the intent. As a fantasy lover (spells, costumes, items, structures, creatures, you name it), aspiring creative writer and an untalented lover of acting theatrical and role-playing, along with the incredible mechanism of RPG and the vast community, the amazing time with friends, its the game for me, it always had been. So thank you Critical Role for igniting that flame once again - even if I will lose it again I will always have you guys. “Can you answer the call? Dig in deep in your soul. As the legend unfolds, now it's your turn to roll!”
