He’d learned other things about her too, secret things that she didn’t even seem to know about herself until they learned them together. He knows that his lips light on her neck will make her gasp and writhe, that if he nips a little harder at her throat, she will clutch at him, maybe even moan his name.

He feels heat rise to his face as he thinks back over the previous night, how those initial long-awaited confessions and the accompanying kisses had quickly given rise to more, to a heat and a longing the likes of which he’d never experienced before.

They probably should have built up to this. Taken their time and explored this part of their relationship step by step, but it was like they both got caught up in everything and once they’d started kissing it was inevitable they’d end up here.

Rayla’s still in denial.

One moment, she’d been sitting astride Callum in their room at the Banther Lodge, fingers entwined and his cock buried deep, “I love you”’s and sloppy kisses filling the air, and the next- Callum slumping, limp, then snapping ramrod straight with glowing eyes.

Rayla’d scrambled back, his erection slipping out as those uncanny white eyes fixed on her sitting there in shock, brain trying to wrap around what the fuck was happening.

Aaravos’s voice spoke, deep and velvety out of her dorky boyfriend’s mouth. “Oh. It, um… it appears I have come at a bad time?”

Hah. Come.

Rayla nodded dumbly, mouth agape.

“Oh, Stars, I did… I did not plan for this. Are you even of age?”

She squeaked.

He pinched the bridge between his nose and forehead. “Children these days. Do you use protection, at the very least? And remember that consent is vital?”

Was… was Aaravos interfering with their sex life?

Well, even more than literally possessing her boyfriend as they made love counted for?

“Uh…”

“Oh, what am I talking about? I have seen this mage’s memories– of course it’s consensual. I’ve got plans, dear, but I’m not sex negative. Best wishes.”

And then he was gone, Callum sagging against her and blinking blearily. “Wha… what? Huh?”

“Um…” Rayla started, still barely upright herself. “So, I think Aaravos saw my boobs? Also your dick?”

That snapped him awake. “What?!”
