Today was the second day in a row that I ran though pouring rain and mud. It felt so freeing. Then there was this beautiful rainbow I fell in love with. *You can’t have rainbows without the rain* perfectly fitting my life rn.

Also, as I try to get back into it, especially with the coming winter months, I could use other runblrs and fitblrs to follow. I like these things:
•running
•training (for anything! 5k, halves, 50k, whatever!)
•whole30 or vegetarian cooking
•yoga
•personal posts about personal journeys
•no thin*spo or pro*ana!
I follow with the url sandstormsfireandgrace. Like or reblog and I’ll check you out!
Also as a coach and a run specialty professional, I know A LOT about training, shoes, injuries, and nutrition. Always feel free to message or inbox me with questions.

Favorite favorite things: vegan donuts on sale at Whole Foods, cold runs in the snow, followed by cozy blankets on my couch, waking up to sunny mountains and hot coffee, feeling sore after running up mountains, buying gifts for the people I love so much (and myself too of course), and buying pretty purple flowers for no reason😊

coffee date in a historic mill, finding gluten free shell noodles, cozy outdoor fireplaces, and piggy back rides after long sunday runs. if this isn’t a fairytale of a love then i don’t know what is.

🍃🍂🍁 I was met by this beautiful view on my evening run. It was breathtaking and I had to take a break to capture the moment 🍁🍂🍃 One day late, I completed week two, day three: 30 min tempo run. My pace was 7:03 min/km, even though I felt like pushing myself to my maximum. I know part of it is due to the cold which always makes me a little bit slower.

I️ waited and waited to go on this run today because it was so cold. Then it was 4:30 and not getting any warmer. Or lighter. So I went and my legs were like popsicles for the last two miles but at least it’s done! I️ haven’t been out in almost two weeks, so even though I’m frozen it still felt pretty great to get moving again. Now I’m off to find my fuzziest leggings and hoodie and get warm before dinner. Maybe wine will help too? I️ think probably yes.

10k training W2D3: 10 x 400 metres I had an awful day at work today, but at least I got up early enough to kick this workout's ass before I started. Any shoe brands feel like sponsoring me so I don't have to work anymore?

Getting out the door for this was so hard, even if it was only a mile. It was very cold and I came to the conclusion that I need some more long sleeved base layers. Today I wore my lined tights, a vest, T-shirt, fleece lined sweater and my thick black body warmer and I needed every single item of clothing. And I am not someone who gets cold easily, in fact, I pride myself in being able to run in shorts the majority of the year. I had a morning at my new job which was total information overload but very exciting. Then I went to ride my horse and it was so so cold, I had a great gallop though! I did some core work after my run which I’m trying so so hard to be consistent with despite the fact that I hate it. So run streak day 6 is in the books, on to a full week tomorrow 🏃

I wrote a nice post about getting back into running and how my shins hurt and anyway here’s a pic of me at a fun run in the dark with my bro and sister-in-law.
It was foggy and awesome.
But anyway getting back into running sucks and my shins hurt
And sorry for not posting for 300 years I’m back now

I started the day with a big breakfast: a three eeg omelet on toast with tomatoes on the side. I have been studying for must of the day, since I am way behind in one of my classes and I have to be ready for my exam by the 9th January. But my teacher made these really nice podcast videos which are great for understanding the difficulties of this course. I also did my week 4, day 2 run which was an easy 3 km run in the park. The mist was crazy thick today and you couldn't even see the water, but it was really calming and quite to be running in the mist ☁🏃

I don’t know if I’ll ever be a fan of treadmill miles but when it’s dark at 5:30, I guess I️ can live with it. I did get to break in my new shoes, though!
