Reader who's a scientist and she loses her kid into the forest but that one delicious man, aka neteyam, finds the kid and can't help but pity them

⟢ Summary: While taking some notes in the forest with your daughter, she wanders off till a certain na’vi man finds her.

⟢ Warnings: None really besides reader being worried for her daughter.

⟢ A/N: I know it’s short but I hope this was ok😭

To say your daughter was a curious little thing would be an understatement, she loved pandora, almost as much as you did. Unfortunately for her she never really got to go out since no one would take her.

That is until you decided maybe it was time but only if she would promise to behave and stay close to you. Naturally your daughter agreed, how could she ever pass up the chance to actually go and see pandora?

"I mean it lily, do not go off on your own" it was a soft command but you needed to make sure she understood. The girl nodded giggling "Yes mama."

Sighing, you began to collect some samples and data while occasionally looking behind you to check on your daughter. So far so good, she's actually listening.

Or not.

While you were distracted with your work, Lily became bored and decided to get up and wander around. Forgetting about the dangers that lurk around the corner.

Neteyam was out on his usual patrol when small sobs pricked at his ears. Curious, he followed them till he found himself in a small clearing with a human child.

This was strange, what could a small human be doing all the way out here?

Silently he moved closer till crouching down beside the small human "Are you alright?" He asked softly. Lily wiped her tears away before looking up at the tall na'vi.

"I lost my mama" she sniffled,"She told me not to move but I didn't listen.." Neteyam felt pity for this small child, it would explain those shouts he heard eariler though.

Standing up, Neteyam leaned down before picking the child up in his arms. The little girl squeaked, though her attention quickly turned to the swinging braids that fell over his shoulders.

You were searching frantically around the forest, calling your daughters name. It had been atleast two hours since she walked off and you still haven't found her.

Soon a squeak along with a deep chuckle caught your attention, turning around your met with a handsome na'vi and your daughter who's tugging at his braids.

"I assume this one is yours?" Neteyam asked, carefully handing the small child to you. Lily immediately clung onto you while whispering how sorry she was for walking off.

You held your daughter closely, tears threatening to fall from your eyes. "She is, thank you so much.." you spoke softly.

Neteyam smiled "Ngati zola'u yuey."

hi!! i hit 300 followers a couple days ago, and even though i dunno how common this is in tumblr culture i wanted to make a little celebratory post

I think my favorite ft next gen headcanon is about elfgreen when they will have children and the first child is a girl, I can see Evergreen worried that he may be disappointed, but once he learned, he definitely will break down crying of joy yelling « having a girl is so manly!!! » and I love him for that.
