Random Redacted Headcanons

✩ David had braces in middle school

✩ Sam loves dark chocolate in any form,  especially dark chocolate chips straight from the freezer

✩ Asher hates the way sleeves feel on his arms and almost exclusively wears tank tops if he's wearing a shirt at all

✩ Aggro insists on following Sweetheart everywhere and screams if they close a door in his face

✩ Ollie is the youngest of his siblings

✩ Aaron enjoys trying new colognes and analyzing their scent profiles

✩ Ivan has a standing desk

✩ Vincent and Lovely have absolutely gotten red and blue slurpees respectively and tried to make their tongues purple

✩ Geordi cooks / bakes as his “me time” and gets anxious when anyone else is in the kitchen with him

✩ Guy has strong opinions about pineapple on pizza and will explain the history of “Hawaiian” pizza anytime the subject is brought up

Im sick and bored, so Im assigning redacted characters (as many as i can think of, going for all of the main ones) things I collect and keep around my room. I'm trying to make it things I like or that I think fit their personality.

Asher - an old bottle cap (it's a cool bottle cap)

David - 3d printed frog (big and with a mushroom hat)

Baabe - skateboard (2 green wheels, 2 red wheels, with cool designs on the deck and underneath)

Angel - longboard (red wheels, black deck with a red brand logo)

Milo - 3d printed turtle (purple)

Darlin' - skull shaped jar (full of rocks I've found on the beach)

Sweetheart - 20lbs weighted blanket (it's wonderful and they deserve it)

Sam - one of my painted horses (they're figurines. I'd give him one painted like a sunset with stars and various turquoise designs)

Vincent - small quartz frog (they're pink)

Ollie - rainbow Stitch plushy

Ollie's baby - Jack Skellington Squishmallo

Lovely - decorative jade sword (found it a yard sale 🤷‍♂️)

Treasure - vanilla candle (it's in a cool metal container with beautiful designs on the outside)

Caelum - sun catcher (idk what else to call it, it's supposed to hang and catch the wind so it spins? And its rainbow so it looks cool in the sun?)

Camelopardalis - Axlottle pillow (it's blue and has sequins on the frills that change from blue to marroon)

Vega - quartz dagger (same kind of vibe as William idk wtf else I'm going to give a millenia old demon)

Hush - cool jar (also full of rocks I found at the beach. I think he would like all the different textures of the rocks and the noise they make together because I do, and I project my sensory seeking behavior on hush)

Doc - di set and holder (they're purple di with white numbering, and the holder is 3d printed to look and fit together like a dagger in a sheath)

Warden - small shark plushie (it's squishy like a stress toy but soft like a plushie, I think they like moving their hands so it helps them)

Guy - 3d printed axlottle (they're pink, and black because I used sharpie to add designs for some reason)

Honey - joker card (in black)

Scorpius - sketchbook and colored pencils

Elliott - small 3d printed frog (pink with a rose hat)

Sunshine - axlottle fidget thing (it's blue and it makes a cool noise)

Blake - old earbuds (they're blue, and only get fuzzy audio through one ear)

D'deridahn - clam shell (it's literally just a plain white clam shell)

Bestie - foam axe (they hit Blake with it when he's being overly weird)

James - soft blanket (it's turquoise and his partner gifted it to him)

Anton - sea glass (blue, green, and purple in various shapes and sizes. His partner collects a lot of little stuff and often gifts it to him. He does the same. I'm projecting wolf mannerisms on the shifters again)

James spouse - mini space heater (they get cold easily and it's small enough it doesn't get in the way ever)

Antons partner - spirit figurines (like the ones from ghibli movies)

Asset - battery pack (their phones almost dead all the time and also what should we call them now that they're not actually asset?)

• Hmmm that’s a good question. I actually like my name so I’ve never thought of changing it. I might go with Amitisia, it’s kinda cringe because it’s the name I gave to a main character of a story I never finished writing when I was a teenager.

•What is your favorite of Redacted’s audios, and why?

•Number one spot goes to “Your Incubus Confesses His Feelings (Again) While You Sleep”. It’s so soft and sweet and makes me feel so comforted when I’m having a bad day. I’ve listened to it a lot before I fall asleep.

•What Redacted boy holds no appeal to you, and why? Like, not the one you hate but the one who you don’t get the hype for. (I won’t judge, I promise.)

•Hate to say it but Ollie, he’s so sweet and nice but I was just never interested? And it always seems like we get an Ollie video before something bad happens so maybe that has something to do with it?

•I tend to replay shows and movies I like a lot so there’s a bunch. I guess I’ll go with “Mulan” because it’s my all time favorite Disney movie.

•Reverse harem books, especially if it’s more of a poly situation than a multiple guys are with one girl. I was always frustrated with love triangles in books growing up, because…why can’t they all just be together. It was a pretty blaring flag that I was poly, now that I think about it.

•My favorite color is purple. I love cats. I enjoy anime or animated shows/movies over live action. I collect pins, rocks/crystals, and stuffed animals. I hate certain food textures.

There are lots of cute details here to consider and prioritize when I was considering your match, but your being a writer won out. I can’t not pair a writer with Guy, you know?

Despite the same hobby/vocation, I love the small ways you contrast each other as well. Guy’s extroverted, bombastic nature would be such a cute foil to your introverted, quiet self. You’re a cat person; I imagine Guy as a dog person. These differences keep things interesting and balanced but not discordant, you know? I also think Guy is one of the redacted bois most likely to be poly/a romantic anarchist, so that’s another factor that would make y’all work so well. (He’d have similar feelings about love triangles, and a couple that bitches together stays together /hj /pos)

Guy would be such a charming boyfriend- not necessarily an easy one to an introvert but definitely a charming one. You two have writing sessions that are meant to be done quietly, in tandem, and they never are, always interrupted by Guy’s stream of consciousness and sidetracked thoughts spoken out loud. (Somehow, you still always get so much written. He’s very inspiring that way.) You two adopt both a cat and a dog that get along a lot better than anyone would expect. Guy always feels in his bones when you’re not having a great day and comes home with a new rock or pin for collection.

The song I picked for y’all isn’t necessarily one I think you’d both like per se, though it’s very catchy; I picked it because it’d make a good soundtrack to your love story. It makes me think of Guy falling in love with you, falling first, and being like “just you wait, I am going to win you over”, like he wants to be your favorite boy, your boyfriend, but best friend/roommate is a good start.

My Complete Collection of Redacted ASMR Earrings 

Okay so I collect earrings, and I made it my mission to get a pair of earrings for (almost) every voiced redacted character. Some character have more than one, and I’ll probably get more, but this is the complete list for now. The only character I’m missing is Cam, but I have literally no idea what to get for him. suggestions are welcome. Anyway enjoy my treasures~

Shifters:

David is the bullet, Asher is the controller and the paw, and Milo is the wolf. I want to get another for David since I’m not completely happy with the silver bullet, but I don’t know what else to get. Perhaps something Minecraft related.

Vamps;

The surge one looks weird in the photo, but the green looks a lot nicer in person.

Damn:

Okay the shovels I got for hux and actually huge, and they look a little funky in real life lol. I hate Kody, but the earrings I got are soo pretty. The picture doesn’t show off the swirls very nicely :(

The Balance Series:

Brachium's earrings have sand in them that you can’t see very well, and the Elliott’s moon earrings have this really pretty purple hue that got washed out.

Demons:

Not a huge fan of Avior’s earrings, will probably keep looking. However I do wear Vega’s all the time cause the cute girl I like, likes to play with them. (and by play with them I mean she stabs me in the side of the neck)

Humans:

I could not find a laptop earring that I liked, so I had to improvise.

Others:

The tapes were my first pair of redacted earrings! I thought the Tetris pieces would be fitting of Geordi since he always has the song stuck in his head. Guy’s look a little rough, but I’ve never been good at clay.

They were all interesting, and my favorite one was one named Ciel. He was tall, lanky, and really serious. His hair was white with a red strand, and his eyes were purple. He had pale skin and a vitiligo stain on his right eye. He always wore dark clothes. Mostly a dark, emo style. I miss him.

-> Go way to sleep | I start with audios (mostly Guy or David's playlists) but I end up listening to my sleep playlist. It has calm songs or just songs I feel like listening to.

-> Name change | yes! I don't really know why I chose my current name, and if I had a reason at all. If I did, I forgot. I used to have an oc who I called that name, though, and I believe I liked it so I took it from him once I decided to change my name. It was the last time I changed my name, as I went through a lot of them before.

-> Favorite audio | Currently, I'd say Guy's stolen hoodie audio. Either that one, or the friendsgiving audio with the damn boys.

-> Least favorite rboy | I'd say Vega or Blake. I'm sure their storylines are cool, but I'm not personally interested in them. (I haven't listened to Vega's storyline because of this). No hate to them, because they're really cool characters, they just bore me.

-> Favorite Show/Movie | not a book guy, but I can easily tell you all the plots of each episode from The Mentalist. Is not a super popular show, but God do I love it. As for movies, I'd say 'Mary Poppins Returns' and 'The Pacifier' are two movies I can say by heart. I've seen them countless times and I never get bored of them.

-> Platonic rboy | I absolutely adore Asher, but with him, I don't really see myself with. He's amazing, and I'd love to have him as a friend because from what we've seen, he's loyal and utterly amazing, but not really my type.

-> Comfort topic | Probably redacted, or talking about what I did that day. When I talk with my boyfriend before bed, we always end up just talking about how our day was and what are we planning for tomorrow, and I often start telling him stuff about whatever audio comes to my mind. I also like doing random silly games, such as asking questions, or opinions on something.

-> Comfort drink | I don't have a car, and I don't really buy drinks outside. But I do love chamomile tea and Sprite. I'd say Sprite is my go-to, and chamomile is a good alternative if I don't have a sprite. I also adore apple juice, but not all brands, just a specific one and that one only.

-> Favorite playlist | Don't really know if it counts, but I can't stop listening to PORTALS lately. I'm obsessed with the album and I can't leave it for a second. I do have a playlist though, it has a few songs I'm obsessed with (ex. What are we gonna do now - Indigo De Souza, Sex on Fire - Kings of Lion, Grocery Store - Cavetown, and so on!) And I absolutely adore that one too.

-> Guilty pleasure | Probably redacted, honestly. Or shitpost videos that literally don't make any sense and shouldn't be as funny as they are, but I die with them. I also love watching ts4 builders making different building challenges/houses.

-> Facts about myself | I'm a really stubborn guy, and sometimes I try to do every possible thing to fix a problem either than asking for help from someone who I know can easily help me fix it. I don't like bothering people with things I think I'm capable of solving, or even with things I know I can't. I like baggy clothes, and when I go shopping, you'll see me buying clothes based on the fabric rather than the pattern/color/style. The first thing I check about any clothing item is if I like the fabric of it. And if I don't, I won't buy it at all, no matter how much I like it. I like dogs, the color red, watching kid shows, and eating ice cream in excess. I'm scared of darkness, any kind of horror games/movies, bugs, and loud noises.

I hope that's enough! I really can't wait to see what you do with me. And I'm excited to reveal who I am once you do! It was super, super, super fun to write this down, so I'm already having tons of fun. Tysm!!

Type Threes (and Eights and Sixes actually) can be characterized by their stubborn, can-do, do-it-yourself attitude. They either, respectively, feel the need to prove themselves capable, feel it is their duty, or feel doing it themselves is the only way to get it done properly. This gives you major Smartass vibes that would be balanced well by having Aaron as a partner. 

Aaron, as an oldest child and a high-achieving professional, is wonderfully capable and dependable. That doesn’t mean he needs to be or is capable of keeping that up all the time, but it does mean you can rely on each other when the other isn’t feeling up to task. Your independent natures can balance one another, give you a safe place to land and lean should you need it. 

Also, he strikes me as the type of dude who adores a good, weekly crime procedural. Aaron is so cozy and domestic in his own special way; I could see y’all being very much at home, on the couch, in your jammies, watching a particularly favored episode of The Mentalist together.

Again, depending on each other is a throughline I think works very well for the both of you. Also, we know Aaron’s a fan of classic country, so him liking some classic soul is not a big stretch of the imagination. (Oddly enough, this works really well for Aaron and Elliott’s relationship too, and ain’t that a kicker.) 

Runner-Ups:

Huxley would be a good contender given he’s dependable and reliable like Aaron. I also have this adorable image of him growing the chamomile for your tea which I can’t get out of my head. David is the above traits plus dog. There’s nothing quite so simply silly as pairing a dog person with a werewolf lol
