who hogs the duvet: Jean! He’s naturally cold all the time and just unconsciously steals it during the night. Marco just uses it as an excuse to cuddle more. 

who texts/rings to check how their day is going: Marco sends little messages to Jean all the time, asking him about his day or sharing something with him that reminded Marco of Jean or just sharing pictures of dogs. 

who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts: Marco. He’s a very sentimental and observant person, so he remembers all the little things to make/find the perfect gift. 

who gets up first in the morning: Marco. He’s such a morning person. Jean is the exact opposite. But he’s learning that you can’t live with an early bird like Marco and expect to sleep in any later than 11. 

who suggests new things in bed: Both

who cries at movies: Both, especially if an animal dies. Marco also tends to tear up at movies from his childhood because of the memories associated. And Jean will cry at any movie if he’s drunk. Literally any movie. It could be the least serious comedy in the world, and he’ll be crying over a side character’s quest to find love. 

who gives unprompted massages: Marco. He’s more adept at showing love through physical touch, and massages are a simple way for him to do that. And it’s not like Jean’s ever going to complain about it…

who fusses over the other when they’re sick: They both do to an extent. Marco’s pretty self-sufficient when he’s sick, but he don’t like to be alone when he doesn’t feel well, and likes to have Jean in the house/apartment at least. Jean usually needs someone around to make sure he’s taking care of himself and to cuddle with him. It’s also usually a combined effort anyway because they get each other sick about 2/3 times. 

who gets jealous easiest: Jean! He’s pretty insecure, and often fears that Marco will get sick of him, or will find someone better. And those thoughts often lead to jealousy when he sees Marco getting along well with someone else. Thankfully, the two of them have talked about this, and Marco’s very understanding of Jean’s feelings, and they’re able to talk through them before any real problems can occur. 

who has the most embarrassing taste in music: Marco listens to anything and everything, even the bad stuff, and he is not ashamed at all. 

who collects something unusual: Jean collects magnets. He has magnets from all over the world, mostly from family and friends who have visited and brought him one back. Marco loves pens and considers those almost like a collection. He has pens from all the places he’s visited, as well as fancy ones he finds at office supply stores. 

who takes the longest to get ready: Jean takes longer to style his hair and get it perfect to his standards, but Marco takes longer in the shower because he likes to sing and can’t cut off a song in the middle. So it evens out. 

who is the most tidy and organized: They both like to have their things organized. Marco’s system looks neater to outsiders, but they both are very organized, generally tidy people. Except when it comes to dishes. They’re both a little bad at keeping the dishes out of the sink. 

who gets most excited about the holidays: Marco! He gets so excited for every holiday, but especially the Christmas season because of the general air of joy and cheer. He tries to start playing holiday music in November. Jean never lets him. Marco does all he can to get Jean into the Christmas spirit, and Jean will pretend not to care just to get on Marco’s nerves. But they both really do enjoy the holidays. 

who is the big spoon/little spoon: Usually, Marco’s big spoon and Jean’s little spoon. 

who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports: Jean gets so competitive! Which works well when they’re playing together on a team, but leads to Marco employing a number of strategies to overpower Jean’s competitive nature when they’re playing against each other. 

who starts the most arguments: Jean. He let’s his emotions build up until they just explode one day. Their arguments/fights can last for two weeks. After that, they’ll miss each other too much and will apologize and make up. 

who suggests that they buy a pet: They both do every time they see an animal ever. However, they have no luck with animals. Jean doesn’t get along with/like cats, Marco’s allergic to dogs, Jean’s scared of birds, the squad vetoed reptiles and rodents. So they have a beta fish. 

what couple traditions they have: They make a point to have one ‘date night’ a week. Sometimes, that means going out for a ‘real’ date. Others, it’s simply putting the homework away and cuddling on the couch with fun books and reading all night. They like to set aside time each week to just be together. 

what tv shows they watch together: They love watching sit-coms together, really getting the plots and characters, and really investing in the show. They talk about their shows together a lot. It’s really cute. 

what other couple they hang out with: They love to spend time with Sasha and Connie, and Reiner and Bertholdt. They all get along really well together, and do a lot of fun couple-y things. But squad hangouts are always a good time too! 

how they spend time together as a couple: They just love to do everything together. Study. Train/Work out. Cook. Take walks. Clean the house/apartment. Shop. Everything. They just love to be with each other, talking about everything and nothing, cracking jokes, trying new things, holding hands the whole time. They just love simply being with each other. 

who made the first move: Jean. He asked Marco out two days before Marco was planning to ask him out. It was fate. And it’s a great story to tell. 

who brings flowers home: Both do. If one of them is having a bad day, or there’s a special occasion, the other will get flowers to celebrate. 

who is the best cook: Marco, and Jean’s the better baker, so they even out.
