also, may I request a meet-cute w/ leon? he goes to a book store, record store, or whatever and reader so happens to work there. he thinks they're so pretty that he acts lost as to attract their attention (he's such a loser)
bumping into you at a bookstore
leon kennedy / gn!reader
warnings : reader is an employee, mentions of barnes & noble (i’ve never been, apologies for inaccuracies), american dollars, leon is bad at romance and extremely socially awkward (funny), leon tells one bad dad joke, hinted that leon craves something long-term.
word count : 805
author’s note : yes i did put leon in a henley. specifically black or gray. if any artists see this i encourage you to draw him in one. also picture any version of him you want.
Tumblr media
leon didn’t get many days off but when he did it was often dull in comparison to his usually turbulent life. sitting and lazing around was not an option. he couldn’t sit still and mindlessly watch tv to pass time.
so on a whim, he decided to stop by non other than a barnes & noble.
was he a reader? casually, yes but definitely not enough to go out of his way to browse bookstores. most of his copies are old, well-loved, gifts from friends. but why not try something new?
the evening was chilly— enough for a long-sleeve and a hot drink. dark. storm clouds threatening possible rain overhead. the atmosphere for a good mystery novel was perfect.
stepping inside, leon is immediately hit with the smell of fresh paper and coffee. he takes a careful scan around. lots of choices, he notes mentally.
“welcome in!” a voice calls from his left and the blond is quick to find its source.
and to his pleasant surprise, he finds you, looking awful friendly in a wool sweater and a smile.
“can i help you find anything?” you wonder, rounding the front counter and making your way toward him.
he takes notice that you smell really nice. and— wow, you’re much prettier up close.
“uh, yeah, actually,” comes his steady timbre, hands stuffed in his pockets, henley stretching deliciously across his broad chest. “i was hoping you could lead me toward the mystery, or thriller, section?”
you beam at that, pretty smile widening, displaying teeth. “absolutely. this way.”
waving a hand in a silent follow me gesture, leon follows you to the back where a wide selection of mystery and thriller novels sat, spanning from short books to long slow-burns.
“personally, i recommend this one if you’re into classics,” you grin, having plucked a copy of agatha christie’s murder on the orient express. “it’s a classic for a reason! snowy terrain, trapped-whodunit vibes. i think you’d like it.”
you’re rambling. and it’s precious.
the usual blank expression on his pretty face lightens up as the corner of his mouth rises in a very subtle half-smile. your spirit is refreshing.
“and if you’re into seasonal stuff, i’ve got halloween and christmas themed stuff. too.”
-
leon hadn’t even realized it until he glanced down at the bulky watch on his wrist but he stood in that mystery section talking to you for twenty minutes. not that he was complaining, but time sure does fly.
you’re already ringing him up by the time his hands touch the counter, gaze unmoving, watching you like a hawk.
“aaand that’ll be $45.19,” you beam, hands clasped in front of you.
he tilts his head, unimpressed. “you’re tellin’ me i gotta pay for all this?”
you quickly catch on to the joke, albeit the very bad joke, and chuckle warmly, like marshmallows melting over hot chocolate.
“unfortunately, yeah,” you nod, clicking your tongue. “good thing they’re worth the price.” you gesture to his newly purchased books, one of which was the christie novel you recommended.
“guess so,” leon agrees with faux reluctance, digging a leather wallet from his back pocket and pulling out a debit card that’d definitely seen better days.
after his transaction went through and you slid his bagged books over along with a receipt, leon found himself lingering by the counter, not yet wanting to leave. despite only knowing you for thirty minutes max— he doesn’t even know your name yet —he wasn’t ready to leave. to possibly say goodbye forever.
“listen—“ he glanced at your name tag, spoke it aloud before his eyes found your face. “this isn’t something i’d usually do, and i know we barely know each other, but…”
leon pauses, runs the tip of his tongue over his bottom lip. “i like you,” for someone who’s usually so confident on the field, he’s rather shy in the presence of someone so pretty.
“think i could get your number?” as soon as the question leaves his mouth, he feels the tips of his ears turn pink, quick to wave a hand. “you don’t have to—“
“i want to,” you butt in, eyes warm, welcoming. shimmering. filled with just the right about of domesticity he secretly longs for.
picking up a stray pen, you scrawl your number down and hand over a yellow sticky note.
“let me know it’s you—“ you trail off, realizing very suddenly that you don’t even know this man’s name.
“uh, leon,” he’s absolutely red in the ears now. “i’ll let you know,” he takes the slip of paper, fiddles with it. “i’ll text you?”
you nod, looking rather flushed yourself, but smiling all the while. “yeah. later tonight.”
phew, that worked out.
“alright, i’ll…” he picks his new purchase off the counter, backpedals one step. “see you ‘round.”
you do see him ‘round.

Ugh…Death Island Leon has been on my mind all day…I just can’t get over that old man!!
Imagine waking up early, standing in the kitchen wearing those teeny tiny nightgowns, flipping pancakes, all while you and Leon’s kid(s) is sleeping in bed peacefully. The early morning birds chirping, bright sunrise creeping in through the windows.
You’d be softly humming to yourself, sizzling echoing throughout the kitchen as you flip a silly little heart shaped pancake. Suddenly feeling those strong, burley, yet familiar arms wrap around your waist, one coming up by your shoulder.
Gentle kisses being pressed up against the nape of your neck, rough hand squeezing and massaging your hip. Needy mumbles coming from his tired lips, talking about going back to bed for something ‘quick’ while the kid(s) sleep. Those black sweatpants hanging from his hips, showing that prominent “V” line of his, happy trail hiding beneath the cloth.
God…Why can’t I get that man out of my head! 😣
- Anon! 🎀
My god... You have no idea how fucking badly I want that 38 year old man to annihilate me 🎀anon...

Just imagine him clinging onto you like you'll vanish if he let's you go. He always says it'll be quick but it's never quick with Leon. Not when he's in one of his moods. He'll just keep kissing your neck, eventually start nibbling at your skin. Soft little pleases and you know you want to.
Eventually he'll realize you're finally listening to the voice of reason (his morning wood pressing into your ass) and look at the stove clock with a smirk, knowing the kid(s) won't beup for at least another half hour. Leaning into your ear and he whispers seductively y'know, we don't even need to leave the kitchen, you'd look great up on the counter.
To which you grip the spatula a little tighter, trying desperately to cling to the tiny shred of resolve you still have. That's when you feel his hands glide down your thighs and under the tiny nightgown. His rough hands gliding his calloused hands over your soft belly and he feels you finally lean back into him as he playfully pulls at the waistband of your underwear with his thumb. He can't help but smirk, feeling cocky about winning you over.
There's my girl, lemme take care of you~

an anon asked to see the sims i recreated in ts4 side by side with their ts2 counterparts. i may have deleted the ask bc i can't find it anymore, but here is with the exception of marius and hector bc marius is stuck as an old werewolf in bodyshop for me rn, oops! ts2 appearances based on year 5 spring or in the case of beneatha and leon, their late adult appearance.
as you can see, they are quite different! it's tricky when there's no 1:1 in terms of cc and the character creators and base face meshes are drastically different. but that's how it goes, so i just focused on getting their essence so to speak! the ts2 selves are the "true ones" for me, but i especially enjoy playing with bodies and heights in ts4. you win some and you lose some.

||Survivors of the City||
~~Reserved Resident evil au with @within-the-resort ~~
Leon S. Kennedy was driving down the road while looking ahead and checking the radio hearing nothing. He was sent here for a mission after the last one he's done a few years ago. He got reports of survivors maybe still trapped in a new zombie infested area. Wasting no time, he was driving fast to get to the city and hopes he was not too late. The drive wasn't too long but he hopes to make it in time.

its me...AGAIN. tomatoes tomatoes i get it but i just cant get the image of caleb hating every single fictional character and or actor/person uved like wholeheartedly, yes...hed support ur hobbies and yes...hed secretly punch the plushies u have of them...and YES hed study them secretly and purposefully act like the characters to get mcs attention. caleb ur such a fucking loser SOBSOSBSOBS
YEAH . YEAH omfg wait i swear i saw a post talking about caleb being jealous of fictional characters/celebrity crushes and it's top 10 funniest things ever i NEED to find it.. i'll reblog it when i find it 😭😭
if one of your favorite characters is in a game where they can die? caleb gets them killed. straight up. he hits you with "awww shucks looks like i missed that shot and a zombie's coming for your 2d bae :( shame!" mind you he's probably great at the game so you can probably guess that he's being a jealous baby so . Ya .....
HOWEVER! there is a loophole. that loophole being "omg i love this character.. he reminds me of you caleb!" that gets him GIDDY. ohhh he's having the time of his life when you say that and he will indulge your spending habits on that character because in his head it's like "heh. settle down bucko she likes you because you remind her of ME. how about them apples"
moral of the story caleb is a loser

Hot take: the only reason Leon tends to be the uke and Mathias the seme in the ship is because Leon is the more delicate-looking pretty boy, or because Mathias the becomes a vampire who is innately seen as dominant. It doesn't account for their personalities, because Leon is headstrong and Mathias seems to be more delicate.
Same goes with many ships where for some reason the most feminine-looking man is the uke even when his personality really doesn't reflect the stereotype. Hello, Alucard, Juste Joachim and Hector.
tl;dr leon tops mathias
Strongly agree | Agree | Neutral | Disagree | Strongly disagree
Yea you've nailed it there perfectly. There's also the fact that Leon is younger than Mathias and gets manipulated by him, that pushes fellas into ukefying him (and also shoving them into the "dumb as bricks and the braincell holder" mold despite both having their ups and downs in terms of intelligence. Leon is impulsive and headstrong but not a moron)
Anyways have you seen his strength and pride in his skills and the way he sasses enemies? Mathias is an smart man he wouldn't waste such an opportunity 😏

question of the day:
u think Leon is the type of (girl)dad that suffers heavily from empty nest syndrome and if you do, how badly?
Oh, definitely. Again, I'll be writing this out with post-Death Island Leon in mind!
Alnost any parent finds it difficult to accept that their child is now a completely independent adult who can live their life on their own. Some parents find it more difficult than others. I do see Leon sorta falling into that category. It's not necessarily about the possessiveness or losing his role as a parent on his part, as I honestly think that he's the type of father that will be genuinely proud to see his kid thriving on their own. As long as he sees his child happy, he is also happy.
In Leon's case, it's more about the passage of time and his worries for his child's (in this case daughter's) safety. It'll probably hit him all at once: that his kid is actually and truly an adult now. It's one thing to have her turn 18 while still living under his roof, and it's completely another to personally help her pack up her belongings and then move in into a place of her own. Whether it's just a dorm room, or a full apartment. The reality hits him straight in the face right there, and it can be a bit of a pain to sort out.
Even though he is aware that this is not the end but rather the start of something new, it nevertheless stings to know that things will no longer be the same. He'll also get smacked in the face with realization of his own age, figuratively speaking. He wasn't feeling all that old while his daughter was still living with him, but when she's out on her own, and he's forced to look back on everything? Yeah. He'll have a good, long moment of juat sitting down in silence and reflecting on his life, feeling kind of old as hell now. Most likely holding a glass of whiskey (nothing over the top tho! He won't fall into his old habits like this!)
On the other hand, there's also the issue of him no longer being right there in case she gets in trouble. Now, I do think Leon sort of mellows out with his protective tendencies over the years if he gets to live out a simple, safe life with his family. However, they will never really disappear entirely. After all, it's just another way he shows his affection. Even though he occasionally goes too far. The idea of not being there when she might need him gnaws away at him more than anything else does. It scares him. What if she needs help with something? Like, what if her sink gets clogged, and he's out of touch? What if she gets in trouble with some shady people? Young people are notorious for being too naive for their own good, after all. What if she just has a bad day at school or at work, and he can't be there to cheer her up or be a shoulder to cry on? What if she get hurt?
It's easy for these types of 'what ifs' to spiral way out of control to the point of absurdity for someone like him. I'd say that's probably the biggest obstacle for him out of all of them.
Of course, there's also the newfound loneliness. The house seems that much more empty and quiet: no usual evidence of his kid being there now. Even the ones he used to find annoying. No music coming from her room, no plates left in the sink, and no soda cans taking up room in the refrigerator. It's like a piece of his home is missing, and that's hard. This feeling of loneliness comes and passes in waves. Stronger at times, weaker at others. He'll probably avoid her room for a week or two, though, when it's especially hard for him. In order to avoid being overly emotional. He has to actively fight back the impulse to dial his daughter up every few hours or so, not wanting to annoy her. And he does understand that she needs to carve out a path for herself.
It's just... hard.
Fortunately, all of this can be managed. I do feel like his partner will be a huge pillar of support for him in this challenging time as he adjusts to the new reality. It's not all negative. Now they have the entire house to themselves, at least. It serves as a strong incentive to focus on one another. Maybe plan some romantic dinners to bring back memories of the younger years. Or even renovate the yard. Keeping his mind off the absence of his kid is a good way to keep his spirits high without getting all down in the dumps over it.
There is also a newfound sense of understanding to be built between him and his daughter. Perhaps they share a few heart-to-heart talks about it all before their move. That way, they can both get ready for the day it does finally happen and help each other out in small but meaningful ways. Daily calls are a great way to ease Leon into all of this. Hearing his little girl talk about her days to him - whether it's her gushing over something exciting or ranting out her frustrations - is a wonderful way to remind him that just because she is not physically there anymore, their relationship remains as strong as it was.
In a way, it's a clumsy period of change for everyone involved. And that's something that can bring their family even closer together in the end. Also, you can absolutely bet on the fact that Leon will give out the biggest bear-hugs ever when his daughter comes over to visit. That's a must.
