i have a personal saying that goes “writing is a sadistic art” and until the ai is at a point where it can choose to write stories on its own without being told to and then experience joy from causing pain to either its readers or characters i don’t wanna know what the robots are writing

a writing competition i was going to participate in again this year has announced that they now allow AI generated content to be submitted

their reasoning being that "we couldn't ban it even if we wanted to, every writer already uses it anyway"

honestly it just comes down to the fact that what we have here is, essentially, a condition that can be easily and safely treated with an extremely high success rate that could save heaps of lives and people are still on the fence. because we just hate letting our own species live and be happy i guess 😒

Reasons I Will Refuse To Give You One Of My Earbuds When I’m Listening To Music:

made the mistake of deciding to write out and eventually post one of the ROTTMNT fics that has existed and been building up in my head for like 5 months now…

started mapping it out and DEAR FUCKING GODS ITS GONNA BE AT LEAST A 10 FIC SAGA!!!!!! you guys this brainworm fic might be the death of me. this is literally the first ever time i’ve bothered to actually write one of my brainworm fics and it’s gonna be my magnum opus.

points of potential interest:

1) it’s mostly rottmnt but will feature a bunch of other versions of tmnt

2) it has at least 2 distinct story arcs

3) the first story arc features the rise boys making a bunch of yokai friends who turn out to all be from rival families montague vs capulet style

4) this actually all stemmed from an au i made up for @tangledinink ’s swanatello au (which is extremely cool and you should go read it if you haven’t)

idk ask me anything lol this is the first fic i’ve ever written and it’s gonna be a doozy so i guess i’m documenting my writing endeavours now
