I like to imagine that after some time ccDonnie gets really into training with his bō and in training in general. He's such a solution orientated person I feel like it would get really unbearable for him to feel like he's the weakest and defenseless - after all isn't all of this his fault for being so dense that he could not tell that something was oh so obviously wrong with his brothers and for being so weak that he ended up getting so physically hurt? So really this is something he needs to fix again. Focusing too much on his tech has made him a liability and bad at reading his brothers, so he tries to balance tech and training more.

So I imagine that as an adult Donnie is quite a scary aggressive fighter - softshell turtles are quite aggressive in nature after all, precisely because of their softness - and appears quite distant and cold to outsiders. You would have to know him for quite some while and be really attentive to notice that at heart he is far more gentle mannered and soft, but the most important people in his life already know that.

Also!! I love it when in tmnt whump writers use turtle behaviours as therapy - like swimming being therapeutic. Maybe ccDonnie would also really enjoy swimming and letting his mind rest after all this?

honestly this is something i could see! combat is going to be a hard thing for donnie to go back to in particular even without his brothers because he's kind of conditioned himself to panic and do little, curl up in a ball and steel himself. and mixed with the final attack i think he's just going to have problems getting back into the environment and mindset

but like, when he does? i could definitely see some overcompensating going on. donnie gettting vicious out of fear of being helpless again. being triggered and seeing red, falling back hard on the urge to fight back that DID save his life. it stopped leo from slitting his throat and held raph off, really. its still frenzied and panicked but there's an edge of uncharacteristic anger there. he'd otherwise normally be very precise and tactical in his combat, and i do think it'd be a skill he would put a lot of focus on.

im unsure about socially though. i could see him giving off that energy because he would be quiet for SURE, and he always looks on edge and nervous (which can be interpreted as "fuck off" body language lmao) but donnie is hyperaware of other people and he always will be going forward. when he actually opens his mouth he'll be very appeasing, at first at least. i do think he'll be really nervous around new people and it'll make it hard for him to find new connections, but he'll actually be one of the better ones with that. leo will be nasty because of paranoia for a long time.

(also omg yeah i am a little envious because i would LOVE to meditate underwater ... just go under there for ages and chill ... need to project this urge onto him it sounds so calming)

yk on the topic of that ask about how the watcher grian fans go bonkers whenever he says something even vaguely related. that man has complained multiple times about how eyeballs are his least favorite enemy in repo and i'm just sitting here like. yeah? your least favorite enemy is the eye that forces you to lock gazes with it and stares at you until the damage kills you? okay

Funny things that happen when playing REPO with my friends:

Being chased by the creepy giant head that makes weird huffing and chomping sounds in its idle animations -> calling him Joe Biden (or Joe Bitin' at times)

Trans fem friend's character being sparta-kicked off a ledge by a clown enemy and her "transmisognyyyyyyyyy" scream as she fell into the abyss and died

Installed a mod that allows living players to hear the dead chat text-to-speech and sang Hot To Go until I was located and resurrected

"Oh hey [name] how'd you die" "I don't want to talk about it" -> immediate tell that it was a very silly and preventable death like "fell off ledge" or "made noise on open mic near enemy"

All of the enemies have silly names such as "Roger" (Mentalist) and "Michelin man" (Bowtie) and "Peepaw" (Huntsman) and "Slenderman" (Shadow Child)

Finding an item or enemy that changes your voice and immediately asking your teammate how their voice training is going. Bonus if there is a mismatch.

Getting grabbed by the vomit mask and standing in the corner trying to not vomit on the valuables and just going "I frew up :(" and "my tummy hurts :(" repeatedly

That Repo game is crazy. Like why did they market it like that. Why is that fuck ugly "scary" emoji edit plastered over everything when the game itself doesn't look like that and is actually really good.

Like it's genuinely a really fun game! I had an excellent time playing it! We fucked around in the lobby with the silly text to speech for a solid 20 minutes before even actually starting the game, it was great!

But that fucking Emoji. The steam banner, it's so unpleasant and makes the game seem like such shit at first glance, it's really fuckin hard to convince people it's worth looking at. I mean I skipped over it when I first saw it cuz it looked like trash until I was convinced by a friend to play it. Like fucking look at this:

It's not like there's even a scary emoji enemy or anything! Why did they do this!!!!

hihi everyone!!! this post was made for the final round of @mcyt-platonic-heros ‘s event! It has been wonderful working with everyone that I have, and so much fun interacting with everyone in the event, participants and mods alike!

this round was a fun one! with that amazing @amphibianauthor as a teammate (keep your eyes peeled on their ao3 🤭). theyre writing a piece to accompany the art piece and prompt!

this piece feature 3 different renditions of the same duo… pearl and joel (pearlescentmoon and smallishbeans respectively). the first being in joel’s we-don’t-talk-about-it club, where he bests her there. the second being them sat atop and surrounded by purpur, in reference to the purpur feud thats recently ended. and the final being in pearl’s ballroom, where she bests him.

its been so fun to draw them!

there's 8000 different "lethal company"-like games and none of them seem to build off one another. can someone please make one that uses all of the good ideas from the games that are out now. thanks. like repo is 80% of the way there but it needs a mimic enemy real bad and it needs a shove function so you can betray your friends
