hey hi, i’m liv, and i’ll be playing pearl a.k,a my nerd child cass!! all u need to know about me is that i’m a) a dog person  b) a virgo disaster human and c) a real sleepy b who lives for napping ?? more importantly: onto the good good character stuff! 

cass in five points, because i don’t know how to be short and snappy:

1. art history & archaeology major at colombia & worked really hard to get there. not many people know this. not many people know much about cass beyond the superficial, to be honest.

2. ‘vague’ is a really good word to describe them. ‘mild-mannered’ is another

3. very observant in a people-watching kind of way but tends to overlook the bad in people. way too trusting/forgiving for someone who apparently has a talent for hanging around the wrong kind of people (if winding up blackmailed is any judge of character)

4. a bit of a nobody - struggles to make friends and doesn’t really fit in with new york’s ~elite circles, but they hate being alone. they tend to spend a lot of time around crowds as a result, so you can often find them outdoors or loitering in public spaces.

5. & finally i listened to the national + typhoon + keaton henson (unholy miseryman trinity) a Whole Lot while coming up with their bio which explains...uhhh....most things

his dad is an EXTREMELY attractive and successful a-list actor. everyone knows who he is, everyone wants to be him. his mom is a top dog at a huge corporation so mama’s got some good game too.

classic trope of parents who tried but simply didn’t have time for their own kid

as a child, niko was literally the most energetic and excitable ball of energy. he was so outspoken and curious and friendly it was like nothing was standing in his way 

those endearing childlike qualities weren’t as tolerable as he grew older and he got shut down more by teachers and the other children - even getting to the point of being bullied 

constantly being berated for his extreme excitability really took a toll on him, and eventually the wonder dwindled down until it... disappeared completely.

puberty took its toll and he’d never felt more uncomfortable in his life. anxiety became overwhelming, he grew increasingly more insecure, and gained the reputation of being a loner. 

undiagnosed and he’s never really confronted the thought, but he shows many signs of depression

math major!! it’s easy to explain and doesn’t require much discussion. his major hobby is gardening or planting of some sorts since he can retreat within himself and the plants don’t judge

started drinking at a party - where he felt a huge jolt in confidence and his anxiety tamed ( stella was the one who gave him his first drink )

of course an addiction develops with the constant need for more, and he wanted the sweet buzz to happen over and over again which is how he landed himself in a support group similar to alcoholics anonymous when he was 19

had his ups and down with his addiction and honestly he’s just a mess when it comes to alcohol but the pressures of his environment can make him break down and drink to keep an image on the terms of “once in a while”

favorite dog is an italian greyhound since they have to wear little sweaters in the winter!! he has two of them at home ( names fettuccine and alfredo )
